A speaker contrasts people who actively learn with those who don't, arguing that companies pay for expertise, not just a name. He reads two hours daily and consumes videos and podcasts to stay current, saying yesterday's knowledge becomes irrelevant tomorrow. His advice: go to workshops with an open mind and extract at least one useful insight.

There's a huge difference between people who want to learn and people who don't care. What does it mean? People go on the call and they will explain to me, yes, but I know, but listen, no, but I don't care. Why am I saying I don't care? Because I'm coming in to teach my method and you're hiring me to do speaking and you're hiring me to work with your company. Guess what? You're hiring my knowledge. You're not hiring my name to do your BIM. It doesn't work like that. And it's interesting that you meet so many people who are not open enough. And my question is, are you willing to actually sit down and learn? Because I read every single day. I read for 2 hours. I watch videos. I podcasting, whatever you want. Name it, I do it. Why? Because I need to keep up. Because what I thought yesterday might not be relevant tomorrow. The problem is people are so stuck and they say yes about yes about. Say yes, great. Thank you. Let's learn something. By the way, you will take something out of everything. Every workshop I go to, every talk I go to, and everything, I'll find at least one thing I can learn, which is a lot. Everything else is a bonus. Go in with an open mindset. It makes life so much better.
