Everything is about to change. Why is it about to change? Because I think I need— just as I'm telling you guys, I'm telling myself— I need to find a new focus and a new balance. Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel. My name is Nir Zavaro. As always, this is Monday Building in Public. Today I'm talking to you from Hoi An. I'll try and put some nice videos, but I've been running, exercising, and I came to a few conclusions I want to share with you. I think it's time we make a change. I've decided to change the newsletter My taglines, my ideas, the book writing, everything is about to change. Why is it about to change? Because I think I need— just as I'm telling you guys, I'm telling myself— I need to find a new focus and a new balance. After a lot of testing and ideation, I've decided to go with this business storyteller idea. I'm going to change and revamp everything I have. The first thing I'm going to focus on is the newsletter. I'm changing the Story Letter from me into you. It's about you. And the idea is, can I teach you storytelling techniques that will help you scale your business, but fast and not like an ongoing thing? Every time I'm going to focus on one thing. I have 5 pillars that I'm going to focus on. So branding, messaging, customer journey, marketing, and sales. If this works out the way I plan, Every week you will get a golden nugget that you can literally implement and improve in your business. So instead of going into a marketing plan or changing your sales tactics or stuff like that, which take your business like this, what if every time we can improve one thing and then we go to the next level and so on? And you get what I'm talking about? It makes life easy. So every week, golden nugget. What I'm working on now, literally now, I'm gonna go for a run, come back and fix it, is a new email sequence. Once people sign up, the first 5 days they'll get something that they can improve. Hopefully they will see the value and stay. Next step is I'm fixing the business storyteller when it comes to the website. I'm gonna take out and delete most of the blog posts I've had on the website this last year or 2. And focusing on the main pillar content, the first one is how to implement storytelling techniques. Again, I'll review the 5 main things: branding, marketing, sales, messaging, and customer journey. What I'm working on is the main pillar content that's about 7,000 words. I'm roughly at about 4,000 or so. And each piece will take you through the ideation, what does it mean, how does it look, what are things you should look into in your business when it comes to these things. And hopefully it will save you a lot of time. So yes, while it does have an SEO component, it's about you, the audience, and your ability to utilize this and very fast actually. 'Cause if you review these things. Now for most people, they can't do everything at once. So every time you can log in, pick something, fix it. From there, I'm gonna start building smaller pieces of blog posts and drive traffic. I'm working on about 40 pieces of different content. I assume at the end I'll have 3 or 4 main pillars and everything leading from and to different articles. I also am starting to look at how do I implement storytelling techniques and business storytelling in a way on my website that will help me pop up more on searches on ChatGPT, help me pop up in searches on ChatGPT and other AI tools. I think this is where we're going. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, SEO is slowly going away. But today, the way that you search ChatGPT, for example, it searches Google, brings you back the results. I want to also be optimizing for that. It's called AIO. So if I can do that, I think that will start building the rapport for I think I now have roughly about 100 visitors, I think a week or a month on the website. What would it take to get to 3,000 and how can I start getting the website to sell more? So I'm gonna start now adding how many people do we have on the newsletter? 'Cause now it's about scale. How many people do we have coming into the website? What happens on the website? How many articles? How am I optimizing? Who am I talking to? I'm taking the Building in Public on a whole new level where I'm going to share weekly with you guys, and it will stay a section on the newsletter, but it won't be the main thing. So as the story letter will become more about how to implement storytelling techniques, there will be a section about Building in Public and these videos. And I think it's sort of enough for now. One more thing is how can I build these videos? And the best thing, one more thing I'm working on is this YouTube channel. It's gonna be teaching people how to implement those storytelling techniques. I'm gonna move more and more into teaching, so not just Education on Thursday but answering questions and other stuff. When it comes to the social content, again, the business Storyteller is the main thing, and I'm going to start adding different things. I'm going to change the title on LinkedIn and so on. Notice everything needs to start moving towards that direction, and I'm going to take out other things. Lastly, I think I'm also going to need to figure out a way to talk to you guys a little bit about this idea of building my business again, right? If I'm going to license the methodologies and other things. So I want to talk to you a little bit about that. Funny enough, at the moment, word of mouth is going extremely well when it comes to pitching and other things. When it comes to consulting, the mastermind is moving along. So I need to figure out— I'm going to try and structure somehow to do 2-minute updates or stuff like that, not go on these long rants. I want to leave you with one thing. Are you focused enough in what you want to offer? And have you focused enough time on how it looks on your website? And the reason is because the last 2 calls I've had today and yesterday from companies, well, major companies, is that their website sucks. They know their website sucks, that's why they're calling me, and we're trying to fix their messaging now, and then we'll fix the story, the brand, and everything else. Take a look at your website. It will help you understand what you've gotten wrong. Which is funny to say, but that's how it works. Make your website clear. And if it's not, that's what you should focus on because it's written and you can see it. And when I say words matter, written is where it matters, right? Because we are visual creatures, and I'll do a video about that next week, and don't worry. Try and focus on looking on the website and can you simplify it? Please, I'll leave you with one thing. Can you lose all the buzzwords and just tell us what you actually do? Because if so, trust me, you'll make more money. Sales will get easier. In general, life becomes nicer when people actually understand what we offer. So this is me for today. Thank you very much for listening, and I'll see you next time. If you need anything, ping me. Please keep sending messages. And to those who've started to send messages with questions, I love you. See you next time. I'm Nir Zavaro, your business storyteller. Yeah, I like that ring of it. Yeah, it sounds good. Send this to someone, okay? Do me a favor. See you next time.
