In this solo vlog recorded from Da Nang, Vietnam, entrepreneur Nir Zavaro advises fellow founders to prioritize sharing personal experience rather than offering opinions they haven’t lived. He recounts nightly dinner conversations with a young entrepreneur, emphasizing that most online advice is opinion‑based and untested. Drawing on a decade of agency‑building, he illustrates how his own business grew from $1,000 to $10,000 monthly retainers, describing the challenges of client retention and pricing adjustments. He highlights the value of speaking ideas aloud—recording or filming conversations—to hear one’s own thoughts, refine messaging, and uncover blind spots. This practice also feeds into his work on the upcoming book The Business Catcher, where he seeks pushback from branding agencies while listening to his recorded reflections. The video closes with a call‑to‑action for viewers to DM him, subscribe to his newsletter (which just passed 500 subscribers), and stay “epic.”

First thing, don't give people your opinion. They don't need it. What they need is your experience here. What's up guys? Welcome back to my channel. My name is Nir Zavaro. In today's episode, I'm talking to you from Da Nang in Vietnam. There's a bit of a noise. I hope you can hear me well. I wanted to talk to you about something. I wanted to talk to you about saying things out loud. Let me explain. I've been spending a lot of time here with a young entrepreneur. He's building his business, and every evening we go out for dinner. We sit there and we talk a lot about his business, his ideas, how he's scaling and how he's doing certain things, and he's asking for my opinion. First thing, don't give people your opinion. They don't need it. What they need is your experience share. Because remember, you've never been in their shoes. You don't know everything. All you know is what they told you, but everything else, it's a guess. So don't tell people, trust me, this is what you should do. You don't know. Tell them what you've done. Interestingly enough, 99% of the internet is about people telling you what to do where in fact they've never done it. And every time you share experience with someone, remember You've done a lot, and maybe, just maybe, you've already done it. So there's no point of repeating that mistake again. What I liked about our conversations is sometimes we spoke about his agency and his scaling, and when I told him what I did, I heard myself saying that out loud again and again. And I remember when I was scaling my agency, and I remember how we went from having a client with a $1,000 retainer and what it took to get to clients of $10,000 retainer on a monthly basis. I remember what it felt when we had problems with clients, where we wanted to let go of clients, but we couldn't afford it. It was too much. So we stuck to it. Was it a good decision or a bad decision? Can always be discussed. But it was interesting because every time we spoke about these things, I heard it in my mind and I thought 2 things. I've done a lot. I know I can share my experience over a decade plus of building that agency, and I had a lot of things to contribute. Much of that, by the way, was about pricing and how we scaled that pricing model and how that changed with the clients and stuff like that, which was fun going down memory lane about these things. The second thing was I heard myself saying things that I needed to remind myself. If you have an idea, go talk to people. Sure, ask for their opinion, but a big chunk of it is about you hearing what you have. Now, writing the book The Business Catcher, I talk to a lot of branding agencies. I want their pushback, I want their opinion, I want their thoughts. True. But another big, big aspect for me, I want to hear myself and how it sounds and what I'm thinking about it. Sometimes I'll even record the sessions, especially if they're online, but if not, I'll put the camera somewhere and I'll I'll record it, and it's nice. It's great. We're so stuck in our own minds that we forget to do that. So you have an idea, go talk to someone, tell them. As always, guys, I'm Nir Zavaro. If you need anything, feel free to DM me, reach out, talk to me, whatever you need. I'm looking forward. And to all those people who signed up to the newsletter, we just crossed 500 people. You guys are amazing. What do you mean you didn't sign up? What? Nah. You didn't subscribe here? Nah. Do it now though. I'm waiting. I'm waiting. Stay epic. See you next time. Bye.
