Building your dream partnership list

A coach walks through creating a dream partnership list for brand collaborations. Start by listing aligned brands you actually use, then sort them into small, big, and scary categories. Know your audience archetype first, like the example 'Maeve,' so you pitch brands that fit.

So let's start with step one. Let's build that dream partnership list. So before we get started, I want you to grab your worksheet. We are going to build this together. We're going to build that absolutely visually exciting. Oh, my God. Dream collab list. So let's get into it. I want you to just jot down a few different brands that feel super aligned with you. Maybe you are offering premium services or premium, like manicures, and you feel like there's some really premium brands that feel aligned to that. Here's a few, obviously examples of different brands that might feel aligned to you. Maybe there's some brands that aren't on here. Maybe these feel like pretty out there, pretty scary. But I want you to write those brands down. Maybe there's even some more beauty, beauty LED brands that feel really aligned to you, that maybe aren't so much nails, but they could be moisturizing products or skin products or tools. Whatever it is, do not be scared to put the craziest brands down. And what brands are aligned with your audience. Archetype Maeve enters the chat here. So think about that person that we named earlier, that we created that's so specific that you can really, really visualize who they are. What brand does that person use? What brand do they love? And if you were selling services with that brand involved, what would they do? They would ultimately come and buy from you because they love that brand. So what brand feels really authentic to you? Now, the word authentic is super, super key here because I can't tell you how many content creators I've seen online that are sharing brands and products that just feel like they're really just doing it to make a buck. And it doesn't feel organic, it doesn't feel natural, and it really, really doesn't feel authentic at all. So when you are thinking about these brands, don't put brands down there that you never use, that you wouldn't use just because it's the most incredible or big name. If you don't use that product, then it's not going to be authentic to you. They h. You have to want to use their products or already use them. Let's identify as well the small, big and scary dream brands. So I want you to maybe like split this out. Maybe you have like three different columns here and you have like the small, big and small scary brands. I love to put these in there because essentially the small just helps it feel a little bit more achievable. And then there's the big and then there's just the. Oh, my God. This is never. Like, we all get imposter syndrome, right? Like, the scary brands are the ones we think this could never happen. But, guys, let me tell you from experience, I have had the scary brands on my list, and I've worked with scary brands, and that has literally been a game changer. So I just want to let you know, it is totally possible I put something on my goal list this year when it came to partnering with my dream brand about speaking on stage at an event of theirs, and it happened. So I can't tell you the power of actually writing these things down, actually looking at them, reflecting on them, really kind of getting specific on them. That is going to be so powerful when it comes to your brand partnership strategy.
