Now imagine someone comes across your page for the first time. Maybe it's through a post they saw, or maybe it's a friend's recommendation, the very first thing they notice is your visuals, your brand colours, your images, your style. It is those details that combine to tell a story about who you are, what you value and what the experience is that you offer. And that is where Canva comes into health. It makes our first impression, really, really stands out. And it's an amazing tool for you and your business. So what exactly is Canva? Well, Canva is a super easy to use design tool that actually just allows you to create all sorts of graphics for your business. So when you need to share details, promote a service or post something visually engaging on social media, whether that's your logo, your price lists, posts or even flyers, Canva has everything that you need. Now, think of it as almost like your all in one toolkit for creating polished professional visuals, even if you don't have any graphic design experience. So I'm going to break it down. When you're building a business, especially in the beauty industry, having a strong, clear brand is key. Now, your brand is more than just a logo or a color scheme. It's actually the personality of your whole business. It's what sets you apart and makes you memorable to clients. It's what makes you stand out from the nail techs on the roof, from your logo to your color palette, to the font you choose to your brand. It's all how you visually communicate with your audience. And Canva helps you to pull all of that together. Now, this is the beauty of Canva. It offers you the tools to create that entire brand identity, whether you are starting from scratch or whether you're using it to start being consistent with your existing branding. So with Canva, you can create your logo, you can choose brand colors, you can experiment with fonts and essentially build your entire brand kit yourself. If you want to, you can save them in Canva and then you can keep using them and coming back to them to make sure everything you put out feels unified and instantly recognizable once you've got that brand. Now, some people choose to invest in a graphic designer to help them with the branding, and that's totally fine to do as well. So a designer can actually create your logo for you. They can help you select your brand colors and even give you templates to work with moving forward. This can actually be a fantastic option, especially if you've got the budget, because it just gives you a really solid professional base to work from. But if you just start an hour and you don't want to spend on branding just yet, then Canva makes it totally possible to create everything yourself. So you don't need to worry about that too much. You also don't need to be a designer to use Canva. You just need to know what you're aiming for and an overview of how to use the tools so Canva can help you to achieve what it is you can you're trying to achieve now. Why are high quality, consistent visuals so important? Well, first impressions matter. We already know that from the lessons we've covered so far. So often your social media posts, your website and other materials are the first interaction really that someone will have with your business. It's not just about looking good, it's also about showing potential clients that you actually care about your business and that you you're invested in creating a professional, welcoming experience for them, no matter how or where they found you. Good visuals tell people that you're serious. They tell people that you pay attention to detail and that they can expect a polished experience when they come to you. Then we have got brand consistency. So when everything you put out, your logo, your color scheme, your font choice, even your tone of voice works together as a really unified look, you are building a brand that people want to remember. So think about certain brands that you know and love and how some of them, you can recognize their logo even without seeing their brand, and vice versa. So, for example, if I showed you the colours red and yellow and I said think of a brand, would you think of McDonald's? I would. So these colors were also chosen for a reason when it comes to McDonald's. Because they're fun, they're childlike, they're bright, family oriented, hated. And colors like yellow are linked to happiness and sunshine, which is also a key part of their values. So can you see how it's all aligned? If you walked into McDonald's and it was all bright green, would you feel like it was McDonald's? This is the same for you and your brand. So your colors, tone, logo fonts should all match how you want your customers to feel. Do you offer a spa like service? Then you're probably going to want to use neutrals across your branding or. But imagine if your salon space was matcha green, your email headers were bright pink and your price lists were black. Like how disconnected would the customer feel from your brand? Consistency builds trust because it's recognizable and then it becomes safe and known to the customer. It also lets clients know that you're reliable and that you care about your work. Canva makes all of this so easy. So once you find your colors, your fonts, your design elements that you feel like an amazing reflection of you, you can then keep using these across all of your designs. And canvas tools make that easy to manage. Finally, it's about engagement. So when you create visuals that are eye catching and memorable, people are naturally drawn to your content. They're more likely to comment, they're more likely to share, they're more likely to save you posts. You are helping you reach more potential clients and build a stronger community around your brand. They're also more likely to book. With Canva's tools, even those who are new to design can create posts that engage and attract an audience. And that is so powerful to have in your corner.
