Hi, guys. So we are going to do a little social audit with Rebecca here and essentially what we're going to do is we're going to go through account and look at ways that we can optimize it based on what her goals are. So I'm going to share my screen now and we're going to go through Rebecca. Of course. Don't feel afraid to ask any questions if anything doesn't make sense. I'm sure that there'll be loads of people here who are watching this who will have the same ideas that you do and probably the same questions that you do as well. Okay, perfect. So this is your account at the moment. When did you start your account?
Only I think it might have been like February or March maybe. I might have started it this year.
Amazing. Well, you're doing so well for like literally a few months.
I do feel proud of myself, to be honest. The engagement that is like going up, so I feel happy with it.
100. So what we'll do is we'll have a look through and I think the first question I want to ask you is what is your goal here? Like, is your goal? Because as I kind of mentioned before we start recording, some people's goals will be they want to get people to buy from an educational point of view and that they're teaching other nail artists or text. Whereas some people want to just get more clients and, and more bookings, etc. So what's your goal?
Yeah, I would say for at the moment it would just be bringing more clients in. Like my ideal client in. And I do like the like content creation side of it as well. You know, like, I love when I see people like working with brands and stuff like that. That is like in the goals, you know, like eventually. But obviously to start off with like I've, I've obviously only just started to have only got like a very small client base. So that's like my first thing that I want to expand on as my clients. But I like doing like the content creation as well, that side of it.
Well, I think that's good to know because that is something that we can still bear in mind when I give you some feedback here. Yeah. Okay. So first things first. I first of all love like the business name. It's so nice. And I feel like there are so many more people who want like a clean money now.
Yeah, that's like my vibe as well. I'm not like big on nail art. Like, I adore it and I think it's amazing that everyone can do it but that's not my strong point and I just love like that vibe. So that's like me client base that I want is more like natural aesthetic vibe.
Yeah, I love that. I'm actually going to go, I think for a clean aesthetic nail this week.
Yeah. I mean I am loving the neon though.
It's a vibe. Thank you. Thank you. But it's. They're actually my nails. So I am like ready to have like, I think just my nails if that makes sense and have them like. Like clean. Clean. Basically.
Yeah.
Okay. So one of the first things I would say, and it was interesting because when we booked this call, I struggled to understand where this was, is I don't know what your name is.
Okay. Yeah. Doesn't say, does it?
No. Apart from your book.
Yeah.
So that would be the first thing that I would say is having your name somewhere. So it could be. See where you've got the clean girl money here. Yeah. That could maybe have your name or you could have your name down here. One of the things that I would say, and this is for anyone that's watching this is this here. And this complete bio here is SEO friendly. So that means that it's search engine optimized. So whatever phrases or wording that you use within this part, people can search for.
Okay. So I always struggle with the bio. I. I always try and overthink it and then I like panic and just write anything.
Well, I actually think that this is actually really well written in terms of what it is. The only thing I would say is that I would put the luxury manicure treatment at the top.
Okay.
I would maybe even get rid of treatments and just have like, maybe just like luxury manicures. Okay.
Now while we're doing it or not.
Yeah, you can do.
Because I feel like I was gonna write it down but I think I may as well just have a go at it. Have a go while away. We're here.
So. Yeah, I would have maybe. Yeah, just switch those two around. Tell me when you've added done it and then I can just refresh it. Okay. So maybe like luxury manicures at the top.
Yeah.
And then move the specializing in natural nail health below. Let's do that. Then put that here. I'm just going on phone as well at the same time. Okay.
So that should be changed now.
Perfect. I would maybe even have like an S at the end. Luxury manicures. Oh yeah. You know where you can actually put that as well. See where you clinga money at the top here.
Yeah.
You could could move the luxury manicure to that as well. That's another option.
Okay. Yeah.
So, yeah, I would have luxury manicures and then I would maybe move your home based salon where you've got Maghull, move, like have a little dash and then have Maghull at the end of salon. Yeah, and then where you've got Maghull, say maybe like buy Rebecca.
Okay, yeah, that's a good idea.
Does that make sense?
Yeah, definitely.
Okay, perfect. And then. Yeah, feel free to update that now. Sorry, I'm talking.
No, do you know what? I'll. I'll write things out because I feel like I don't want to be too slow on my phone for you. I'll write some down as well and then I'll do it in a bit.
Amazing. The other thing I would is you have. I notice you've got a photo here. Your third. Your third picture in is you. But the other thing I would say is that people, even though this is the most beautiful picture ever of your.
It's actually not even my picture. It's Amy. Because when I started I had no pictures and I was like, amy, can I use one of your nail pictures, please?
So it's not even mine. No, but like, that's fine. But I mean, if it's Amy's, the only thing I would say is that people will connect less.
Yeah.
A hand. Yeah. And you can still make it, like relevant to you. If you want, like clean girl aesthetic, you might have like a really white, bright background or, you know, like the whole. You might be able to bring yourself with a selfie in, but it just means that if your face is showing, it means that people connect to you. And because your goal here is to get to more clients, I always say when it comes to social media is that people invest in the product, in the person and then the product. Yeah. Or the service. Yeah. So think of it like person product. Yeah. So whenever you're putting stuff out, remember, because you. When it comes to a relationship with a nail tech. Right. We all want to have, like, I want to go and get my nails done by someone that I really like. Yeah. See? Do you know what I mean? Like, I want to connect to them. Like, you wanna. Sometimes I think like a nail tech, like a hairdresser can be like a therapist. Like, you go there and you literally spill everything. Right?
Yeah, definitely. I can. I do hear it as well. So I think that with my clients, like, I love building the relationships with them. And even when I look on some people's pages, I think I want to see who you are because I want to know who I'm going to and like, like you. So I do feel like I was thinking, oh, that picture's not. It's needs to go.
And you're very, I think you're very outgoing and like quite bubbly and like there's a lot of like personality and like when we were voice noting before this to like arrange this, I got that. But I was like, I would never have got that from your page.
Yeah, okay. Yeah, and we need that.
Exactly. Don't be afraid to show up as you because especially when people are going to like take a chance to come to you.
Yeah.
And they want you to be their nail tech. Like they want to go to someone that they really love or they like. Definitely the other thing that we can add to your bio here. So and this, to be fair, if you are running out of space, then this is where you could put the luxury manicures next to the clean girl money in that header just here.
Okay.
Yeah, I would also have a call to action. I think every, every bio should have a call to action or a CTA for sure. Basically telling people how to like book with you. Or maybe you've got an offer, for example, like because you're a new nail tech or something. So where the last line of this bio would be, you would have like book your appointment here and get 10% off. Or like book your appointment here and then like a little arrow or whatever. You just want to make sure that you're making it really clear and have like a really easy user journey for people.
So where that link is to book there what, just change like what it's saying on the link?
No, you could just have like a line above it just say like book.
Your appointment here, like as if I put him down towards it. You mean? Sorry. Yeah, yeah, I get.
Yeah, it could be anything. It might. That might be like a really simple thing, but you could. If someone's having like a. Maybe it's like their first year in business or something and they want to offer a 10% discount to everyone that month.
Okay.
So like it could be the call to action could be like use 10, use this code to get 10% off to celebrate like one year or something like that.
Yeah, yeah, definitely.
You just want to. A call to action is basically getting the person to take action on your profile and you're calling that out. Yeah. Okay. So that will be all optimized and maybe as well. When you've done this, let me know and we'll take a screenshot of your page. Okay.
Yeah.
So people can see the end result as well. Yeah.
Okay, cool.
They'll do a little profile picture here and then down here. You'll start here. And I'm just gonna have a. I.
Feel like I messed these around and like, I was thinking, oh, she's gonna go in on me on these because.
They just look rubbish. But I would never go in ever. So you've got your start here. Yeah, I think start here. Oh, this is your. This. I actually think that this is lovely. As in, like, start here as a highlight, I think is like a really good thing. And it's something that I always say is to start here. The only thing I would say, and I know that I can tell that your aesthetic is quite important to you, so where you've done that, I would just include a picture of you. Okay. Yeah. Or for easy reading, you. And I'm just going to show this for everyone so they understand. But see, on this second frame here, you can see that there's a lot of information. Yeah. I would potentially break that up over like three frames, three paragraphs in that. Yeah. So you could have. Hey, I'm. I'm Rebecca. That could be your first frame, that first little paragraph, then the second, then the second paragraph and then the third paragraph. Yeah. The other thing I would say is this story is very now focused, which it should be.
Yeah.
However, why did you start your business?
Because I want to provide like a better life for me and my family and mainly for me little girl. I just want to have it. I don't know, I feel like I'm. I know what I'm trying to say, but I'm like. Family and like, I just want the best life and, you know, I want to be able to give me a little girl everything in life. So I just want a successful business to just be able to do everything. And also because it's being like self employed is like easier to work around my little girl. And I want to have the luxury of taking her to school and picking her up, but also, you know, gaining clients and giving it a good life. And that's kind of, for me, family, basically.
But that's. That's it. That's beautiful. And the thing is, remember how I said that people invest in people first? Yeah. So many people can rely, like, relate to that. Yeah, yeah, they can. Literally. If you think about, there's always going to be someone who was made redundant or, you know, a single parent who wants more time with their kids. Or. Yeah. You know, there's. There's always someone that kind of is forced into a situation where they're uncomfortable and they've had to, like, make a difficult decision with their. Their business or their career or whatnot. I've had to do that. And there'll be so many people who are able to relate to that. So I think if you can weave that into the fact of, you know, your love for manicures or whatever. Yeah. Add your personal story as well, because that's also why you're here. Yeah.
Okay. Yeah.
And that might mean that someone can relate to you more.
Yeah.
As, like, you know, they. They might be in a similar situation to you. They might not have anything to do with nails, but they're like, oh, my God, I love her. I love her story. That's what I've done with my career is like, yeah, I don't know, in an office or whatever. And then they might want to come and get their nails done because they've connected to you. Yeah.
Yeah. I suppose I always think, oh, I don't want to bore everyone. But then I do, from my point of view, like, if I was to go on someone else's, like, I find that interesting to read about them and, like, how we started on all that. But I suppose sometimes I just think, oh, people don't want to know about me because of that.
Like, you have to remember, like, how many of your clients sit down and have a conversation with you and ask you questions and want to know what's going on with you.
Exactly. Yeah, exactly. So, yeah.
Why do you think it would be any different online?
Yeah, I suppose I'm just. I'm just negative about myself sometimes with stuff like this. So I think, you know, you look at everyone else doing it, like. And there's loads of people on here that I just love, and I love, like, their page and everything, and they've got all that stuff on there. So I don't know why I would think that.
When you think of, like, Amy, for example, and how much she talks about and how open she is, and, like, she shares different aspects of, like, her life.
Yeah.
And that's why people love her. Like, think of it that way. It's like you are literally connecting with your audience and, like, potential clients.
Yeah, definitely.
So I would have that. And I think, you know, like, include snippets of you might not show your family online or whatever, but there might be something in your home or something that's a little bit more personal that you can include a picture in like, as well as you. And then cut that story over a few frames.
Yeah.
The book. Now let me have a quick look at this. I think.
I added. But I got rid of my menu as well with everything that I offered, but I got rid of that.
I think that this is fine.
Okay.
I. I would maybe weave that book now into like, money policy.
Okay. Like, put it as like one.
Yeah. Like, you can book an appointment here and then these are all my terms and conditions on the next page. Like, I think.
Okay, yeah. And get rid of money policy then.
Yeah, yeah. 100. And then when it comes to, like, you mentioned here that you, You had aspirations at some point to maybe do like brand partnerships or whatever. So, like, could you add like a highlight here, which is like face products or like go to products etc. Okay. Yeah, yeah. There's like tons of really cute little things you could do on highlights. You could also have maybe a highlight that's like top five. And then it might be like your top five nails of the month or something. And you switch that out every month.
Yeah, that's a good idea. I always get stuck with highlights. Like, I want them because I like them. Like, I like the way they look on people's pages. But then I feel like I get stuck again of what to.
What to post. Yeah.
Because I'm like, literally how to book. And I did have a menu on there as well, but I took a menu off. But would you have a menu on there? On or not?
Well, I think people can book. They can click on the book part and then see, Right.
Yeah, it's all on there. So there's no way.
Yeah, I think you could always do a. You could again do this two ways. You could have a highlight or you could have. I'm just having a quick look at your bead here on the same thing. So I don't want to play and then it's like really loud. But I'm just having a look at this one here. This main. I think this is really nice. Like, I love this. I think this is lovely. And I think that it's great that you've pinned this as well.
I've only posted it this morning. That's why.
Pin it. Pin it. Yeah. Okay.
Yeah.
So the other thing, I think you could. I think you can pin three posts. Yeah. So I think you could do another one that's like, you see this one here where you've like, why you should choose me. I'm just. So if you want to connect people even further, you could do like, maybe like, some really amazing nails you've done. And it could be like, talking about the process of your nails, like, doing that set of nails and what you did, etc, but you could do, like, a voiceover so people could connect to your voice. Yeah. So I think people get really scared to, like, show up on camera and, like, be like, hey, this is me on video. Like, hey. Like, do you know what I mean? Like, that's really intimidating. But I think a really great way to, like, introduce yourself and get people to connect with you is what you've done there is showing yourself and then talking about you in the com. In the caption. Yeah. So doing your steps here. That's so great. And then also doing a voiceover on content. Okay.
Yeah.
Because that allows people to connect with you.
Okay.
And then I would say then your third pinned post, so you could have one, like, you've done here, pin that. Yeah. Maybe one with a voiceover. Talking about, like, a really amazing pair of nails that you did and what you did for them. And these types of posts, when you do educational content or you share, like, steps, is when you can, like, tag those brands. Yeah. Because for you in the future, that's something that you want to consider. You kind of want to be dropping these brands in here or there. Like, if you use, like, a really amazing nail polish and you love a certain brand's nail polish, then you talk about that in the voiceover and tag them. And then the third piece of content, because the other two have been about now, is in business, should be about you. Okay. So that could be. You could kind of reshare the story that you told in your highlights in a different way. It could be, I don't know, it could be a carousel, like, five Facts about me or something like that. And some of it could be so unrelated to nails, like what your favorite food is. Like, a little bit about me. And then each carousel maybe shows a snippet of you and who you are.
Okay. Yeah, that's good.
Or you could do a reel with snippets of your life with like a voiceover again or something like that. Yeah.
Yeah, I feel like that'd be good. I was thinking then I could do a reel just with, like, loads a little bit and I suppose a little voiceover. That would be good.
Yeah. And then you've got your three pinned posts. Okay.
Yeah.
And see how, like, one of them is showing your authority as an Altech. One of them is showing, like, your business. Yeah. And like, almost bringing in new clients. Yeah. And then the Third is about you and that's the connection that you're going to have to other people as well and getting new clients in.
Yeah. Okay.
Yeah. And then that is I feel like a pretty good audit of your account so far in terms of like the content that you're posting at the moment. So beautiful. What type of content are you. I know you're doing obviously a lot of highlights in terms of like nail highlights. Yeah.
See I was looking at mine last night because obviously like I follow load like loads of the nail techs that I have sort of followed on here. Like is because I feel like they inspire me. Like I, I love their content. So like I'll screenshot like a couple in like my album of what I'd love my feed to look like because I feel like at the minute and it was just looking a bit too many. Like just hands after hands after hands and I was a bit like I can go on people's and I, I'll switch off. Whereas if I go on girls and they're like even like random ones where they've got pictures of like their gel bottles or like just like even but even like a picture of themselves somewhere. So I just think like I want to change it up cuz I just feel like it's too like nails, nails, nails. Even though obviously that's what I want it to be about. But I feel like it needs to have a bit of personality and at.
The same time 100 and like as we said you have to remember like people are going to connect to you and then the product or the service. So I think not only showing your work, I would be like oh my God, I want to come to you because your work is incredible. But then if there's someone else who also does clean mannies as well, what's going to be the difference between you and them is you as a person and allow me to connect to you. So I think having this content in between of you and like what you've done. I think it's like here.
Yeah. I look like miserable because I'm concentrating so I'm gonna think oh she's so miserable.
Oh I love But I actually think the this caption is so cute. Like while singing along to your favorite Sabrina song is so Carpenter even though is so cute. Like people relate to that so much and that's like cute and witty and funny. So you want to have that. The other thing I would say for all of your content like especially when you're showing off a money at the end. Yeah. Is Having a call to action again in your captions. So you want to encourage people to save it.
Okay.
Send it to someone who you know would love this money.
Okay.
Or encouraging people to like book. Okay.
Yeah.
So that reminds people that they need to take action on your content. Yeah, yeah.
Defm.
So do you have any like questions? Obviously, like diving into content is a whole different deep dive. And obviously this is the social audit. But there will be loads of direction on content specifically in the membership for this. But yeah, tell me if there's. Let me know if there's any questions around your profile or.
I suppose the other thing that I get myself like up the wall with is just like times when to post. Like sometimes I don't wanna. I just don't want to overthink things because I am a mom and I haven't got the same entire full day to just sit there and do all these things. So I just, sometimes I'll like I found this morning posting this morning actually got me so many more likes than it does posting like at late at night after I've done like the bedtime routine. So that's the only thing that as well. Because everything else I feel like, yeah, like I get all of that, but that's just the one thing with it is sometimes. Am I overthinking it or is it actually a thing and you've got to post at certain times.
I definitely think there are times where people are more active on social media. However, I think you also have to do what like works for you because there's no point stressing about something like you thinking that you have to post in the evenings, but that doesn't work around your routine and you being a mum. Yeah. So I think I actually do think morning is like a good time to post. And this is something that I have thought of recently is like for me I am like my social battery is gone like three, four o' clock and I'm like, I need to tap out. So then the thought of them posting content in the evening like fills me with a little bit of dread. Yeah. So what I did see online like not that long ago and I personally haven't done this because ADHD and being that consistent is hard work. But apparently this does work is posting at the same time every single day. Okay, like goes in your favor because it's almost like when we think about, you know, a TV program that we watch, you know, like EastEnders is on at like 7:30 every single day and people come to know it. That works within like your favorite Algorithm, app, everything like that. So that's something that I would mention if you feel like, oh well, I want to post on like Tuesday, like Tuesday Fridays and Sunday mornings at like 7:30am yeah. And you stick to that, that will work for you.
Yeah, no, that's a good idea.
Yeah.
Because sometimes I'm like that. I'll sit there till dead late at night and then I'm like, I feel like it's too late to post. No one's even gonna see this. Whereas I could do it that time at night and then it's ready for the morning to like.
And then it's easier because like maybe you can do it whilst you're having a coffee for like 15.
Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
Yeah. I wouldn't focus on that too much. So I found recently that posting in the mornings at the weekends really works for me.
Yeah.
From an engagement point of view and I don't know why. Yeah.
It's mad, isn't it?
Yeah.
I just suppose, I just think what time am I on my phone phone scrolling and I know when it's normally in the morning or like around 5ish or something and then later on. So I suppose everyone's different, aren't they? So.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Amazing. Okay, well I am gonna finish record recording but let me know is there anything else you want to ask?
Now I feel like that's. I feel like that's everything. Oh, do you know what? One other thing.
Yeah.
Hashtags. Do we need hashtags all the time? Are they like super? Will they like help you reach or. Because I do them, but I'm like.
I don't know, I think they. This is like hashtags is something that has been debated quite a lot. I do think that they do. But again I also think how we mentioned here about content now being SEO friendly. So like search engine optimized. Think of when you're posting your content, is there phrases in there that are like, you know, common? Like people are going to be searching for those things. Yeah. So I think bear that in mind. And then also maybe have a mix of hashtags.
Yeah.
I feel like hashtags do work for people if. Especially if you want to really grow. Yeah.
Well I found I do sometimes if I'm looking for something specific, even like for like inspo, I'll type something in and then bring it up like, do you know what I mean? So yeah, I just wanted to make sure like I still.
You still do them all? Yeah.
I have been like four.
There we go. Well, that's perfect then. Yeah. Yeah, Right. I'm gonna finish this recording. Oh, God. Pause. Stop recording.
