Setting up your business email

This is a YouTube video titled "Setting up your business email" created in December 2024. The content is a single-speaker instructional talk explaining how to set up a professional business email, covering options like free Gmail accounts and custom domain emails, aimed at helping viewers organize their business communications effectively.
Okay, let's look at setting up that business email address. So this step is all about creating a dedicated space for your business communications that is organized and also professional. I'm also going to show you two ways to do it. Both of them are easy enough so you can then decide what exactly feels right for you. Now the first option that I'm going to talk about is to set up a free Gmail account with your business name. So it will be something like your business namemail.com amy's nailsmail.com for example. This is a great way to get started without any extra cost. And it works smoothly with other Google tools as well like Google Drive and Google Calendar that you're going to be using throughout this program. It is simple, it is effective, it keeps everything in one place. It is job done. And a Gmail email address with your business name still looks professional, especially when you just start out. Now the second option, if you would like a more polished look, is to set up a custom domain email. So that would be something like infoourbusinessname.com like infoysnails.com or helloysnails.com this option has a small cost and it can usually be around five to ten pounds a month. But that can change. It does give you that extra touch of branding and it can help reinforce your business name in clients minds, adding a little bit of an extra credibility to your communications. Setting up a custom domain is still straightforward too. You'll just need to choose a provider. So you've got things like Google Workspace, Zoho, Microsoft 365 and you can follow their steps to create your custom email address. Now if you already have a domain name for your website, you can use that for this as well, which then makes everything feel a little bit more connected. So whichever option you choose, the key is to go with what feels comfortable for you and also what suits suits your current needs. And just remember, it's perfectly fine to start with a Gmail account now and switch to a custom domain later as your business cruise. So take your time with this decision. Once you're ready, go ahead, get set up. A dedicated business email is just one more way to help you feel organized and more professional as you build the business that you're really proud of. So don't forget also that this email can be a useful spot just to save everything. Save your copies of invoices, receipts, communicate with brands if you're working with them. It's all about having a system that just makes everything feel easy and easy air to manage as well.
