Setting up your profile for maximum conversion

This transcript is a how-to tutorial (step two of a series) on configuring social media profiles to maximize affiliate conversions. It covers optimizing the bio with a clear CTA and link, organizing Highlights with shopper-friendly labels, using a link-in-bio hub (e.g., Linktree) to host multiple links, writing clickable, problem-led phrasing (e.g., "no gape", "best jeans ever"), leveraging platform-provided social proof (Amazon bestseller/review counts), and structuring storefront lists (bestsellers, budget finds) to create a frictionless shopping experience.

Okay, so step two is setting up your profile for maximum conversion. Now, just as a reminder, what I mean by that is essentially at this stage, you would have decided which platform you're going to go with, which player you've chosen. You may have gone for ltk, you might have gone for Amazon and you've set up your storefront or your page. Maybe you've added some photos or content on there with some products, or maybe you've created one of those Amazon lists that we talked about. Now, you want to think about how am I going to make the most amount of sales and push my audience and the people following me on Instagram or social media to that page and to essentially make commission and money. So the first thing we want to do is optimize your bio. So your bio is the little section underneath your photo. Here's mine as an example that essentially tells people, like, who you are, what you do. As you can see here, I have made it very clear that people can shop my page. That means style, hair and Amazon finds. And as you can see, I've got a really clear, clear call to action. So that is the cta. So the call to action is essentially, shop my page. And then I've obviously included a link and like I mentioned there, I've referenced exactly what it is that they're going to find and where they are going to find it included the little arrow emoji. Then I have really utilized my highlights. So your highlights are these little circle icons which can be found underneath your bio and above your in feed content. So using phrases such as links or bestsellers or maybe June products or my faves, you want to make sure that you're using the best terminology and you're just making it really, really, really clear where people can find things. So I always get messages now and DMS people saying, oh, I couldn't find this product on your links, on your March links or your June links or whatever it is. Can you tell me where it is? I've looked everywhere for it. So I know that people are absolutely making use of these highlights. And they're essentially shopping my page as if it's its own online shopping destination, which is exactly what you want. And sometimes it can actually take some, some work to educate people and tell people where they find things. But I promise you, doing that and making it really, really easy for them is ultimately in the long run going to be so successful for you. Using words such as best sellers and links, I think as well, best sellers, people really get FOMO from that because they're like, oh my God, what is this product that's selling so well that everyone else wants? Because I want it too. You want to create an easy link in Bio Journey. So what I actually use is something called linktree. So it's actually, I believe, link tree. And that is where I can host multiple links in one place. So if we go back to that first page, that page before maybe actually we'll go to Bio. You'll see that my link is just underneath my bio here. So that is my link tree. And then this is essentially again somewhere that we want to create a place or a hub where everyone can find everything. And it's super, super easy, super self explanatory. We don't need to over complicate it by making really beautiful, big creative words. But I essentially have included, you know, spring summer fashion finds, oversized T shirts, fashion essentials, things like that. So if you want to have like your bestsellers in one place, again be afraid to duplicate things. You might have your top five, top five beauty recommendations, etc. This is where you're going to have that information. Then you want to have really clickable phrases. As I've kind of mentioned here. This is again where you can pull like people in. So see these genes? These jeans are like one of my number one best sellers. But I've written here best jeans ever, Comfy, AF and no gape. And what I mean by the no gape is I've got a big bum and I've got a smaller waist. So essentially I always have that gape at the back. But I can't tell you how many people have come in my DMs before and said, oh my God, that gape is so annoying. So I know. And I've lent into that. I've lent into what my audience talks to me about the problems that I face and they face which are super relatable. And that's almost like a selling tactic right there. But again that comes from a really authentic place because I know that that is going to help people and you can do that again. You could have maybe a link to like individual products as well. Number one seller of the year, that's going to get people's attention. Another really good thing is obviously when you're first starting out, you won't know what your number one bestseller is. However, if you go onto a shopping destination like Amazon, one of my best sellers is a serum and on Amazon that serum has I believe 80,000 nearly five star reviews. So that again is something that you can Pull in, you can use Amazon's bestsellers. So you could say loved by over 80,000 people. Number one, nail product or hand product or hand lotion. So make sure that you can lean into the data and the information that you can actually get from the affiliate platform. You want to create an easy shopping experience as well. So this obviously is my Amazon and I know that I, I've mentioned that I will be using this as a reference, but essentially when you go onto my storefront and I have those shopping lists, I create these really kind of easy to use lists that pull people in. So for example, as I mentioned, like best sellers. And I will play around with words as well. So one month I might use best sellers and then I might try Most Loved and see which one actually gets more people clicking recent buys and restocks. People want to know what I'm buying because they're nosy and what I'm buying again. And then you've got one here which says Amazon finds under £20. So that's just conscious of people that maybe have a budget and maybe they just want to like treat themselves or give themselves something nice. So I create that really easy and fun seamless shopping experience. You got to remember people on the Internet, we are lazy. We want to be able to buy something in like three clicks. We don't want to have to make it difficult or have to set up a new account or put all of our address information again. Which is why obviously I've spoken so much about Amazon is because I know that it's so convenient for people and people have this as an app anyway. So, yeah, I just want to kind of make sure that when you're setting yourself up for affiliate marketing, you are creating a really easy lazy girl or lazy guy shopping experience for people.
