Everything we create in business comes down to values. And not just what we say our values are, but what we genuinely believe in and how we show up every single day. Your values aren't just nice words on your website. They are the deep rooted beliefs that guide every decision that you make in your business. They determine how you treat your clients, they determine how you run your business. And ultimately they determine what your brand becomes known for. When your values are clear, decisions then become easier for you. Should you squeeze in that extra client at the end of a busy day, your values around client experience and quality will start to guide that choice. Should you invest in that expensive training course, your values around education and excellence will help you make that decision. Think about the nail techs that you admire. What makes them stand out? It's usually not just the technical skills. It's how they operate. It's how they treat people. It's what they stand for. Those are values in action. Now, values show up in every aspect of your business. So if you value education, you will constantly be learning and sharing knowledge with clients. If you value authenticity, then you'll be sharing the real stories behind your work, not just the perfect polished photos. If you value excellence, you'll never rush a service or compromise on quality. You're doing all of these things already. Your values need to be more than weird. So if you say you value client experience, but then you regularly overbook and rush appointments, then there's a disconnect. And if you claim to value creativity, but never try new techniques or desires, then clients are going to notice the mismatch. Strong values attract the right clients. When people connect with what you stand for, they are more likely to become loyal clients who appreciate and also support your approach. They'll choose you not just for your skills, but also for what your brand represents. Values can also help you to build a team, if that is part of your vision. So when you're clear about your values, you can hire people who also share the same values. This ensures that your brand experience stays consistent whilst you still continue to grow as a business. Some values might cost you business in the short term. So maybe you value work life balance so you don't work evenings. Or maybe you value quality so you take longer with each client client. And that is okay. Strong values attract clients who appreciate and will pay for whatever matters to you. Your values will also influence everything from your pricing to your policies. They shape how you should handle your challenges. They shape how you communicate, even how you set up your space. They are the foundation of your brand's personality and also of your brand's reputation. So start to consider now what really matters to you. Not what you think should matter or what others say should matter, but what actually drives you. These become your brand's values, the principles that you will stand by even when it's challenging. Now remember, your values aren't always set in stone, and as you grow and learn, they might evolve. What matters more is that you always feel authentic to your values and that they guide you towards building the brand you envision. Now, we're going to do some exercises that will help you to come up with what your brand values are. So I invite you in to spend some time on this and I will see you in the next video.
