¿Cómo deciden los "Angel Investors"? Con Ariel Poler

25 Sept 2020 · 4 min
3:34

Ariel Poler describes his personal process for deciding whether to invest as an angel: first he gauges whether he enjoyed meeting the founders ("¿Me divertí?"), using personal enjoyment as an initial gate. If positive, he then evaluates (1) whether the project will have positive impact and originality (not merely an arbitrage), (2) whether he can meaningfully help/contribute to the startup, (3) the importance of deal flow and referral networks built by helping founders, (4) working with people he likes personally, and finally (5) whether the opportunity can be financially attractive. The emphasis is on personal fit and ability to contribute rather than purely analytical metrics.
