Do you work for a company and have your own business? When should you quit? Well when your heart tells you to and your business can support that heart. I believe the worst thing you can do with financing and you don't have a cushion is to put too much stress on a new business to support your lifestyle that you could be paying for with your job. There will come a time of course when you have to decide where your time is best invested but if you're going to be extracting cash flows from your business with your time you're probably going to be cutting off a leg. Grow it as much as you can in your free time. It's going to involve a lot more work than just having a job but you're going to give your business the financial oxygen it needs to grow without having to pay for your lifestyle until you think it's time when you can either raise capital and the opportunity is great or the business could support you.
