When you have no data, no research, and one week, copy what works at big companies and flag your risks. A pragmatic design that reaches the market beats letting developers ship something untested and damaging your brand.

If I had no data, no research, and a 1-week deadline, it has to be done or they'll skip me, like they'll build it without me. I'm pretty much gonna leverage large companies or companies that do this successful if I can. If it's brand new, then I'm just gonna use like existing patterns, try to, uh, figure it out the best I can. But ideally, I'm gonna look at industry leaders or look at relevant competitors or relevant inspiration and try to crank something out. Well, I will definitely give a lot of disclaimers that there are some things we should do. I will definitely make sure the risks are known, but I would rather deliver something that, that I've at least like done something like that does look at industry leaders and has potential for success, the most opportunity for success, then not try to let a developer build it without UX or be skipped and actually tarnish the reputation of our product and our brand, and then people leave and never come back or give us a second chance. So that's kind of why I would still work on getting something out there than just not doing it or delivering something like, you know, I guess just putting my foot down and saying I'm not going to work on it or that's not enough time.
