UI consistency requires a documented design system that defines responsive behavior, breakpoints, and component sets for different platforms. Audit existing designs to find discrepancies, log them in a backlog, then update components in bulk to keep legacy work aligned with new patterns.

The way I ensure consistency across devices is ideally having a good enough design system that, that documents how things should respond based on devices. If we're talking about responsive, responsive web that has different breakpoints, then there should be responsive functionality. If there are different components for web or for native versus responsive, then ideally you have that documented in your design system as well. And then as long as you have these things properly componentized, monetized, you know which ones to use at the right time. And if they are not, then they need to be added, they need to be documented, and it needs to be stored so that anyone using this later is using the right components. And then it creates that consistency. Now, if you already are far along, I've kind of like— I've gone back and audited some, some designs and identified discrepancies which have then gotten backlogged, like, to update. And then in the future, we can update all the components together and then keep them consistent, because Sometimes you might identify a new pattern that at the time you didn't need to think of, and now you've got to go update the legacy designs.
