The 2017 Riverton MDT ensemble sings about Cinderella's magical night at the ball, with overlapping voices celebrating the moment she meets the prince. Stars, heaven, and whispered love fill the repeated lines and call-and-response harmonies that capture the dream-like romance of the encounter.
I can imagine him.
I imagine him too! This fainting isn't my final condition, it's me imagining him.
I am throwing caution to the wind, I am imagining him as well.
I can't imagine what that girl would have felt like dancing with the prince.
A lovely night, a lovely night, a finer night you know you'll never see. You meet your prince, a charming prince, as charming as a prince will ever be. The stars in a hazy heaven tremble above you while he screams, "Darling, I love you!" Away, fine.
But on your lips you keep my kiss.
All your life you dream of this lovely, lovely night.
Charlotte, play the piano for her today.
Yes.
Okay.
But it's not going to be good.
A lovely night, a lovely night.
A minor night you know you'll never forget.
Lovely, lovely night.
You see heaven and hell above you while he is whispering, darling, I love you.
You can say goodbye. Away you fly.
But on your lips you'll keep a kiss.
All your life you'll dream of this.
Lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely home.
