Yes, I'm live in Living Color.
So sit back and let me be your TV guy.
I've a dark story like to tell, but I'm happy to help to tell it well.
It was based on a 2002 film of the same name. Both the film and the musical were based on Abagnale's autobiography. Frank Abagnale Jr. was a master of fraud who committed some of the most notable acts of fraud of his time. He claims to have worked as an attorney general, a hospital physician, and impersonated a pilot who logged over 2 million air miles. He worked in all of these positions by creating false identities and smooth-talking his way through his fraudulence. The number "Lie as Little as You Can" is the opening number of "Catch Me If You Can," where Abigail promises to tell detectives and the audience that he will tell them about his life as a con artist and about his many successes at fraud.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the show! We are so excited to have to have you here tonight. We've been working on many of these numbers since last June, and while most of our numbers were picked by Mr. Eaton, we did get to decide on a few ourselves. After performing 84 solos and 13 duets for our peers, we voted on some of our favorites, some of which you'll see tonight. We've put so much time and effort into the show, and we hope you enjoy yourselves tonight. Now I'll turn the time over to Zayden Gates to introduce our guest. Please welcome to our stage our amazing accompanist, Kelly DeHaan. Woo! Kelly has been playing with us since this class began 20 years ago. Kelly's involved in theater all around the state and is the Mountain Ridge High School choir director. We want to personally thank Kelly for coming out here once again and playing for us, so please give him a warm round of applause and enjoy the show.
Little Shop of Horrors, written in 1982 by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken, premiered off-Broadway in the year of our birth, 1982, and was revived on Broadway in 2003. The musical was popularized by the 1986 hit film of the same name. Little Shop of Horrors follows a run-down flower shop and its owner and operators, Mr. Mushnik, Audrey, and Seymour. Seymour discovers a large Venus flytrap and names it Audrey II after the girl he loves. Desperately attempting to care for it, Seymour is unable to give her plant to eat, and struggles to make it grow. In "Grover Me," performed by senior Kate Nautruck, Seymour is at his last stop to make his plant eat. But at what cost? Without any further ado, this is "Grover Me" from Little Shop of Horrors.
I don't know what else to do for you. Mr. Mushnik and Audrey, they just met you, but I've been going through this with you for weeks. Grow and wilt, spurt and flop. Are you sickly little plants, or are you just plain stubborn? What is it you want? What is it you need? I've given you sunlight, I've given you dirt. You've given me nothing but heartache and hurt. I'm begging you sweetly, I'm down on my knees. Oh please, grow for me. I've given I've given you plant food and water to sip. I've given you pot ash. You've given me zip. Oh God, how rude of you. Oh pot, how you tease. Now please grow for me. I've given you sunburn exposure to get you to thrive. I've pitched you back hard like I'm supposed to. You're barely alive. I've tried to add levels of moisture from desert to mud. I've given you grow lights and mineral supplements. What do you want from me? Blood? Ow! Damn roses, damn thorns. Come see me. You're opening up? Why would you do that? I think I know what made you do that. Well, um, I guess a few drops couldn't hurt, as long as you don't make a habit out of it or anything. I've given you sunlight, I've given you rain. Looks like you're not happy, unless I open a vein. I'll give you a few drops, if that'll appease. Now please, oh please, vote for me.

You always talk, talk, talk all the time. You never let me get a word in. A word. I wish I had, I had a dime for every thought I swallowed unheard. No matter what it is that I do, it's like I just can't seem to get through. I've got so much to say, if only you would listen. I tried every which way, And still you never listen. Can't you see I'm hurting? I couldn't be more clear. But I promise one thing, I'll make you hear. Though I try, try, try to explain, I'm not the kid you want me to be. And yet it's all, it's all in vain. You just don't wanna —see the relief. You think you know what I'm all about, and yet you just keep shutting me out. I've got so much to share, if only you would listen. You could prove that you care, if only you would listen. I'm not gonna beg you, you'll never see a tear, but I promise 'Cause one day I'll make you hear. Yeah, you'll see one day I'm gonna make you hear me. Gotta find a way, but you are gonna hear me. Got so much to say, and I'm gonna make you hear me. Maybe then you'll listen at a whisper. You're gonna listen at a whisper. You need to listen. You better listen. I've got so much inside. If only you would listen. Joy and anger and pride. If only you would listen. It's not much I'm asking. I only want your ear. But I promise one day I'll make you fear. It's not much I'm asking. I only want you here. Yeah, I promise one day I'll shake you so damn hard that at last I'll make you— Yeah, I promise one day I'll make you hear.
By Marina Elif. It takes place in Coal County, West Virginia. It is about a group of teenagers living under the shadow of a tragic mining accident which claimed the lives of their fathers 10 years prior. Sunrise is about the boys going to the mine and reclaiming the bodies of their fathers.
What are we gonna do if we get up there?
I don't know, I just have to go. You're gonna go by the company road? Nothing company road and mining related. I'm going the back way. How are we gonna do that? Company road? But no one's been on that road in 10 years. No way Pete's gonna take any way but that. But I heard once the river bridge bombed down. We go fast as possible, we can catch up by mid-morning. Same road our fathers took every morning. It looks really far away. Just you wait, it'll come. There it is! You can see it through the mist. Sunrise! Sunrise! Sunrise. Through the cracks, our voices rise. Through the tunnels to the sky. Pine trees whisper to the smallest kid. Your daddy is working for the mountain. Sunrise, sunrise, we're climbing, climbing, we're climbing up, we're going to the burn mark. We're climbing up, climbing to the burn mark.

Now present Presenting Richmond Stars from my youth.
Isn't it a world too immense? A lifetime of not knowing where, how, why, or when. You think of me and speak of me, and one would think that someone you once loved still loved them so well.
What I feel as living shows why you don't have to ask me. I need not reply. Every moment of my life, from now until I die, I will think and dream of you. If fairies who understand how perfect love can be could find it out, Is it written in stars? Are we paying for some crime? Is that all that we are good for? Just a stretch of mortal time? Or some cosmic experiment in which we have no say? In which we're given paradise but only for a day? Marry the Princess Radomir.
You can help my people. This is our chance to do something important. Can't you see that? Nothing can be altered. There is nothing to find. No secret, no change of heart, any place to hide.
Oh, you are all I ever want, but this I am denied. Sometimes in life <LYRICS>I wish I never learned what it is to be in love and how bad love we turn.
Is it written in the stars? Are we paying for some crime? Is that all that we are meant to suffer for the time? Are you God's every man in which we have no say, in which we give in</LYRICS> Carry us, but only for a day.

And when a man is that stupendous, he by right should take me to the fair.
Your Majesty, let me deal with him and smite him. Don't refuse me so abruptly. I love. Oh, give me the opportunity to fight him, and Gaul will be divided once more. You will bash and thrash him?
I'll smash and mash him. You'll give him trouble?
You will hear of it. A mighty whack?
His skull will crack. Well, then you may take me to the to the fair. If you do all the things you promise, in fact my heart would break should you not take me to the fair. Mr. Sagamore. Your Majesty. I have some rather painful news relative to the subject who is to be beside me at the next It's for both. You are the chosen one, I know, but as tradition, it should go to the unquestioned champion in the hall. And I'm convinced that splendid Frenchman can easily conquer one and all. And besting all our local henchmen, he should sit beside me at the ball. I beg of you, madam, withhold your invitation.
I assure you that this challenge will be met, and when I've finished up the operation, I'll serve him to your finest Mont Rochette.
You'll pierce right through him? I'll barbecue him! A wicked thrust?
Thrilling, dust to dust. From fore to aft?
You feel Well, then you may sit by me at the ball if you did not wish him in battle.
In fact, I know I'm right, were you not by me at the ball. What do I mean?
Didn't I promise that you'd make coming to London on the day that I go up and catch the cattle show? And young Hugh Lassie, strongest burglar, he should take me to Your Majesty can't believe in fostering fraternal love.
Let him prove it with a sawed-off axe instead. I promise you, when I'm done with Gordy Battle, his shoulders will be lonesome from his head. You'll disconnect him? I will vivisect him.
You'll open wide him? I will subdivide him.
Oh dear, dear, dear, dear.
Then you may guide me to the show. If you can carry out your program, I know my brave insider will not bind me to the snow.
Milady, we shall put an end to the daily clamor of noise and dirt. When we do all that that we intend to build a bridge of French quarters. I do applaud your noble goals.
Now let us see if you achieve them. And if you do, then you will be the three who will go to the mall, to the show, and take me to the bridge.

I guess I must sit on a throne I don't own, raising a baby, sweet babe, all alone. I guess as a lady, there's just some things I'll never know. But if I were a man, I'd go to Japan I may swim in the sand and learn to speak French. I have the whole world in the palm of my hand. I finally do what I could, what I can't, if I were a man.
Eloise, I must tell you something.
Tell me. I've found out that the lady who's coming to be with child— Is it a lady or a maid? It's a maid. Well, I didn't know any maids She's not married? She's not married? I guess I have to sit still and look pretty, dance till I'm proper dizzy, throw away the life that I've been living. But if I were a man, I'd summer in Cannes, take me free in the sand, and wear my own pants. I'd have the whole world in the palm of my hand. I'd finally fly far away from the nest. If I were a bear, then we'd know lakes and forests, just the ones to explore. And I don't care if it's a bloody gulf, or extravagant pools, or gentle and cold. And I don't give a rat's if it's handsome and tall, or dirty, single, and small. Whatever lake the best for a duke is for. What if I, what if I want to fly? 'Cause if I were a man, I'd go to boot camp, maybe play in the sand, and learn to speak French. I'd have the whole world in the palm of my hand. I'd finally do what I thought 'cause I can't. If I were a man, if I were a man, I'd have the whole world in the palm of my hand. I finally do what I could, what I can.
Goodbye, good man.
