Hello?
Hello.
This meeting is being recorded. Good morning.
Hello.
Hey, Peter, how's it going?
I. I haven't been to one of these before. This is my first one. Is it, it's okay to just join? Is it?
Of course, yes.
I'll just turn my camera on.
Yeah. Thanks for being here.
Can you hear me now?
Yes. You were.
Oh, there we go.
You were frozen there for a second, Kara. Oh, that's fun.
My audio. I'm sitting here chatting and my audio wasn't working.
Just give it a minute or two. We usually get a lot of people coming in right at that last minute and I better make sure I'm recording.
It did say it was recording when I logged in.
Yeah, I have no idea. It'll tell me it's recording and then it's like lost and Never Never Land. It's so. Yeah. Lately. Oh, I don't trust it. So now I just hit record every time.
Yeah.
Good morning. Hey, Becky. Shut the door. Had an out of town guest. Oh, here's a bunch of more people.
Oh yeah, how did that go?
It was great. But she literally just left three minutes ago. Oh my gosh. I'm trying to say goodbye and I'm trying to get this set up. And yeah, usually I have like done my own coaching and planning prior to this call, but today I'll be doing it with everyone. Yeah. Which is all good. Okay, so I'll continue to let people in, but just I have a couple of new faces. So I want to just kind of give you a little bit of an overview of what this call actually is. It's we. What we do is we use the Becoming Self Made Goal Planner. If you don't have the goal planner, both memberships, the Dating With Gracie membership and the Self Made youe membership has the worksheets that you can download to still use, you know, to get value from this call. The purpose of this call is to plan out your week with intention so that it really supports you in achieving whatever goals you have. So. So we always do a goal planning workshop. We do one like every 90 days to help people better understand what, what area of their life they're least satisfied with. So those of you who are in the Dating With Gracie community, you already, you know what goal you have. You're wanting to change your dating life. So maybe that goal workshop isn't as relevant for you. Those of you in the Self Madeu community, a lot of you are coming in with very diverse goals and you don't know exactly how to set those goals. So that you can effectively progress towards them. So what we do is we have an assessment where we assess eight different areas of our life, we come up with the top three that we're least satisfied with, and then from there we set our goals. Now, these are not goals that have to be written in stone. These are goals that can change over the course of the next 90 days. This book is a 90 day planner. So it's meant to keep you very focused on one to three goals over the course of 90 days. It's a very structured system to set and progress towards achieving these goals. It has monthly and a daily layout. So for those of you who haven't seen, in the back of the book, there are the monthly undated calendars that you can use. I know some people like to have that, you know, month out of view. But once we decided on what our goal is, then every single week, we decide what action steps we're going to take this particular week to get closer to achieving that goal. So if you haven't been through a goal workshop, that's okay. You probably have a vague idea of what it is that you want. Right now. If you're sitting here kind of scratching your head going, I don't even know what I want, I challenge you to think about what is it that you don't want. That's a great place to start. Look at the things that are going on in your life that you are less than satisfied with. Okay. And that's a great place to start. Okay. We can certainly dig deeper and get very specific about our goals, but that's a great place to start if you haven't done a workshop. So just as a little overview, I written all over my book, but this is the focus wheel exercise for those of you who want to better have a better assessment of your life. So we do this workshop together where we assess all eight of these areas and then we narrow it down to four specific goals. So this is an example of a health and wellness goal. We use the SMART formula and we include action steps that if we were watching somebody else achieve this exact same goal, what would we see them doing? So this is archived for you so that you can continue to come back and reference it every single week when we set our intentions. Okay. So as you can see, I have a finance goal, I have a health and wellness goal, I have a professional goal and a personal goal. And so I reference these every single week as I create my intentions. So this week or every Monday, we get back together and we every week get back together. And we do this exercise together. And I'm doing this, I take it really slow to give you guys an opportunity to do this as we, to do it together as we work through this. Call and ask questions. So if you are somebody who maybe knows what it is that you want to achieve, but you don't know what the steps are, this is a great call to ask for support. If maybe you tried something last week and it didn't work, raise your hand, let us know and we can help you brainstorm some other actions. But this system, this strategy is more than just a time management or a project management type tool. It's truly a mental management tool. It's a mental and an emotional management tool.
So.
My camera. There we go. Okay. So we always start by looking at what worked well this past week, what didn't work, and what we're going to do differently. So if you did this work, if you did the daily planner, you know, throughout this past week, reflect back on what worked well this past week. Okay. And you don't have to. These can be bullet points. It doesn't have to be a journal entry. It's literally a way to get your mind in a very factual place. Your brain wants to tell you everything that didn't work last week. That's human nature. We want to challenge it to go to the facts about what did work. Okay, so I want you to bullet point very quickly what worked well about last week in the context of making progress towards your goal. Okay, so just a couple bullet points on that. Okay, Now I want you now that your brain is in a factual place, it's in a non emotional place. Now is the time that we want to ask ourselves the question of what didn't work. Remember how I said earlier, your brain always wants to jump to what didn't work. Your brain loves, your primitive brain loves the drama of what didn't work. And we resist the urge to start there and we instead start with what worked. Because when emotions are high, intellect is low. So we want to challenge ourselves to be very factual. So intellect is high and emotions are low. And then we strategically ask the second question when we're in that place, when intellect is high and emotions are low. So I just want the facts, bullet points of what didn't work last week. I find it helpful to look at my last week's to do lists and some of the actions that I had intended to take to find out the facts of what might not have worked, things I didn't get done. And then lastly, what are you going to do different this week. Now, this question is a very strategic question. It doesn't necessarily mean what am I going to do to get this task that didn't get done done? Maybe this is a task that isn't that important to you. Maybe it's a task that you can delete altogether. Maybe it's a task that you could delegate. Maybe there was a strategy that you tried that you're like, yeah, for those of you who are going through the weight loss program, maybe you tried a 18 hour fast and you noticed that you couldn't sleep. That happens a lot. That is maybe something that you're going to do different this week. You're going to maybe not do that lengthy of a fast. Maybe some of you in the Dating with Gracie membership, maybe you tried a new approach and that didn't work. Good to know, right? So we're just jotting down the facts of what it is that didn't work and what we're going to do different this week. And then at the bottom of this sheet you'll see on a scale of 1 to 5, 1 not at all, 5 highly aware. How aware of the sabotaging emotions, sabotaging feelings were you throughout the week? So, as you may have noticed on the daily planners, at the bottom, we list all of these sabotaging feelings and we want you to check the box. If you've noticed that you are having feelings of anxiety, feelings of disappointment. So many of us make that mean that we're broken or that we're bad because we're feeling that way were meant to feel that way. Okay, so we're leaning into it. We're acknowledging, yes, we have those feelings. And you can tether it or tie it back, connect the dots back to what caused those feelings. What were the thoughts that caused those feelings? Okay, if you're feeling resentment, what were the thoughts, what were the beliefs that you were focused on? So you should have a rating at the bottom of that weekly reflection. On a scale of 1 to 5, how aware of your sabotaging feelings were you throughout the week? And the second question is, on a scale of 1 to 5, how much control do you feel over your goals, the progress you're making towards your goals, and that little ranking is meant for you to be able to keep your finger on the pulse of progress. How aware are you of the feelings that you're having and where they're coming from? And how much control are you feeling? That's something that we want to be working on. So we want to meet or exceed the, the number from the previous week. Any questions on that? Okay. It's a really good idea to always reflect on past week before you go in and start setting your intentions for the current week. All right, now I want you guys to turn the page to the weekly intentions. This is where we are going to set up our action list for this week. The actions that are going to get us closer to our goals. Okay, so you saw that I had a finance goal, I had a professional goal, I had a health and wellness goal. So first off, just date, Put today's date, April 14th. And now I want you to put in these four boxes what, what you're going to be focusing on. It could be four priorities that fall under health and wellness. It could be four priorities that fall under dating. Mine are going to be a little bit more diverse. I have secure one one on one client, get one podcast sponsor. I want to get out for my health and wellness. I want to play pickleball two times this week. And what else? And then I'm traveling at the end of this week. So I want us, I want to plan excursions for la. Okay, so those are my four goals. Yours again. They can be, they can come from any one of your big picture goals. They can come, they can be whittled down into areas of focus. Now if you were watching somebody make progress on your particular goal, goal number one, what action steps would you see them doing? Now this is where you could turn back and use this as a reference. Use this as a reference. We, we archived these action steps early on when we set these goals, peruse through those action steps and decide which of these are you going to commit to this week? Okay, that's a great way. So you're not feeling like you're reinventing the wheel. I like to ask myself, if I was watching somebody else do this, what would I see them doing? And you can break these down into baby steps. So for playing pickleball two times this week, I gotta find the white space in my calendar first and foremost. Then I got to find the place that I'm going to be playing. I got to find the places that have court time. Right. It sounds so tedious, but these are the steps that need to be taken. Okay? So don't be afraid to break these down. And I want you to do this for each goal. Does anybody have any questions? So for those of you who are have weight loss as a goal, this might be a week where you want to increase the length of your fast. Okay. By two hours. We always recommend increasing Your fast by two hours. So your goal might be to lose two pounds this week. Okay, you want to be really specific. And extending your fast by two hours two times this week. Okay? So if you're at an 18 hour fast, you want to extend it to 20 hours. Fasting for that length of time two times throughout your week would be a great idea. Increase your fats, okay? So getting really specific about which meals or how, how you're going to get in more fats. For those of you who are in the Dating with Gracie program, you might have on your actions, it might be to get through some of the on demand classes that Gracie has in the classroom. Anybody have any questions? I know we had somebody. She's not on the call today. She has a financial goal. Okay. And her financ, she obviously has a very specific financial goal and it was around saving money. And so not necessarily generating more revenue, but saving saving money. So her steps might be first and foremost assessing what expenses she has this week. Where are the areas that she could potentially save. How is she going to save this? What is the, what's the platform? Is she saving it in an investment fund? Is she saving it in a, you know, does she need to go open up a new savings account? Like, none of these steps are too small. They, they are necessary in order to make progress. So I want you to capture them if you know that your week is really hectic and you don't have a lot of time to put towards your goals. Pick one. Pick one. You don't want to use your goals against yourself. You want to, you want to set yourself up for success and make progress. No matter how small that progress is. The goal is to make progress. So if you know you already, you're traveling half this week and you're not going to have a lot of time to put your focus elsewhere. Pick one thing. Okay. The next sheet, the two page spread that comes next is the weekly to do and the brain dump. The weekly to do is real easy, you guys. These are all the things that are non goal related that you need to take care of this week. I often look at the past weekly to do list and I am often carrying over the things that didn't get done. Okay? So very easy. You're just looking at, you know, look at your, look at your text threads, look at your emails, things that you have made commitments. They're non goal related. We've already captured the to dos that are related to our goals. These are all of the extra things. Okay, this might be get the dog A vet. The vet appointment on your calendar. Take the dog for a walk. Maybe it, maybe you've been wanting to meal prep, but you got to get to the grocery store to get all the things, okay? That's what this list is for. And the point is, is to keep all of your intentions in one place. Place. This book is your portable, like vault. Your brain is not a vault. Your brain is a processor. So let the tools do the heavy lifting for you. And then on the opposite page, the brain dump. This is where you can do your self coaching every morning.
So.
So I like to start each morning by going back to this page, simply putting today's date, asking myself, how am I feeling and why? Why am I feeling that way? It's just a journal entry, okay? This is a really good way to get yourself in the habit. And now tomorrow I'll come back here, ask myself, how am I feeling and why? Getting into the habit of connecting the way you're feeling to the thoughts that are creating those feelings. Most people believe that they're feeling, their emotions are coming from circumstances in their life. I might, you know, unintentionally be believing that I'm feeling overwhelmed because our guests just left 20 minutes ago. When in reality I'm feeling overwhelmed because I'm believing that there's so much to do and I don't have enough time. It's that thought, that belief that's actually creating the overwhelm. Connecting that those dots can be very profound. Because if you don't want to be feeling overwhelmed at the start of your day, you know what's causing it. It's a belief. And you can overcome that feeling by challenging your thinking. So that's why I say this book is way more than a project management tool, a time management tool, it's a mental management tool. And when you combine the mental management with the time management, you win, you make progress. Is it a lot of work? It is, but you get to take the credit for that. That's what it looks like to be self made. It's taking credit for doing the hard work that ultimately creates the results that you're looking for. Okay, so let's get on to the day planner. Now this we're going to do today together, I expect you guys to do Tuesday through Sunday on your own. I expect you to take 10 minutes every single day to do what we are doing together today.
Okay?
So right now, do yourself a favor and date all seven pages. So we've got Monday, 4 14, Tuesday 4 15. Tomorrow's tax day, Wednesday 4 16, Thursday 4 17, Friday for 18, Saturday for 19, and Sunday 4 20. Just Easter. Okay, now I want you to focus in on Monday. We all know that works together right now starting at 9am Central Time, we have the reset call. Okay. Now I want you to, this is obviously easy to customize. We left all the lines blank so that you can put in half an hours. You can block your time. I know a lot of you that work outside of the home. You, you'll have nine to three at work. Okay, you can certainly do that. If you don't want to put all of the, you know, the meetings that you have on this schedule, I recommend more detailed. You are, I recommend that because it gives you an opportunity to be really grounded about where it is that you're going to be. And it gives you an opportunity to choose any event that is falling on your calendar to decide ahead of time how you want to think and feel about it. But what I do now is I just look at my digital calendar, my like Outlook calendar, and then I just fill in the blanks of what today looks like. Now I do this, I want to see how much white space I have today. I have a fair amount. The podcast usually takes a couple hours, So I have from 2 to 5:30 ish free. And so I have a good chunk of time that I could make some progress on any one of my goals. Okay, so looking back at your actions and deciding or your to do list, deciding, do I have some white space where I can dedicate towards making progress on my goal? Now I might not have had a lot of white space, but I knew there might be. You know, I have got to call the bank and get something taken care of. So that could go on my to do list. I don't know exactly what time I'm going to get it done, but I know it needs to get done today. Maybe you have something from your to do list that could get taken care of today. So it goes from your to do list, the big cat, the capture of the weekly to dos. I want you guys to look and see what can you take care of today. Every single day, I want you to be very intentional, not only about where it is you're going to be, but and what it is you're going to be doing. But how do you make progress on your goals every single day? We have our finger on the pulse of goals that we have set. And so you are looking at the actions that need to be taken and you're scheduling it in or you're putting it on your to do list. And we don't stop there because if that's where we stop, like every other daily planner out there, we will be motivated probably by some sort of self sabotaging feeling. And those self sabotaging feelings do not create sustainable results. So we have to be intentional. So now what I want you to do is I want you to pick three events. They can come from your schedule, they could come from your daily to do's, they could be a goal that you have set. The overarching goal. We are going to decide with intention how we want to think and feel ahead of time. Okay? So pick your three events again and this could actually be somebody that you're going to be interacting with today. Okay? It's a circumstance, it's a person, it's a place, it's a thing, it's a commitment. So pick three things. Once you have picked all three of your events, I want you guys to raise your hand. Okay? You don't have to go through the how do I want to feel? I just want you to pick all, all three events. So all three of mine came directly from my schedule last week. I was picking people that I, I was going to interact with. All right, anybody need help with that? Anybody have any questions on that? So if you're somebody who's losing weight, who wants to lose weight, your schedule could be at noon, you're breaking your fast and it can be exactly what it is that you intend to eat. That can be super, super helpful, okay. To plan out when you're fasting and when you're eating and those events can carry over. So breaking my fast or eating lunch or weighing in or going to the club, okay? These are the kinds of events that would be particularly helpful for somebody who's wanting to lose weight. For some of you who are in the Dating with Gracie community, if you're somebody who's going to go through, if you're new to the community, need to go through some of the workshops. Putting a particular workshop that you're going to go through can be a great event because if it feels like it's daunting, that is a self sabotaging feeling that is not going to keep you coming back for more. So we want to take care of that on the front end and decide with intention, not by default, not because we're running on autopilot, but with intention, how do we want to feel? Okay, so look at your first event and ask yourself, ideally, how do I want to feel? I like to use the bookmark that Comes with the book to get some ideas. Ideally, how do I want to feel as I'm meeting with Gracie today? I want to feel creative. And the next question is, what believable thought creates that feeling? This, you guys, is how you set yourself up for success. You decide ahead of time how you're going to be thinking and feeling as you show up for that 10am commitment. And if you need some, suggest some help with, okay, I'm not sure, how do I feel Creative. You flip over the bookmark and there's some suggested thoughts that you can try on. New ideas and solutions flow effortlessly to me. You might need to modify that a little bit so that it feels true for you. Another great resource for you guys is this chart. This is on page 32 of the book. These are self made feelings that we suggest you try to intentionally create. Okay. If you want to feel grateful or appreciative or thankful, this is a suggested thought for you to try on. But come up with your own and capture these so that you don't have to do the heavy lifting day after day after day. What kind of thought, what believable thought for you creates gratitude, appreciation or thankfulness? Capture it. What kind of thought for you create creates love. The feeling, the vibration, the emotion of love. Capture it. You guys, this is work worth doing so that you don't have to recreate or think too hard. You know that that's what creates that emotion for.
It.
Go through and do events two and three. Ideally, how do you want to feel as you show up to that event, that commitment?
Sa.
Anybody need any help or anybody want to share?
How are the dating with Gracie guys doing? I know this can be a lot if it's your first time seeing it. Are you guys, do you have any questions? Were you able to grab the worksheets?
Hey, Gracie.
Hey.
I did, I was able to grab the worksheet. So it doesn't have all the things, all the elements that Tracy's going through, but because the camera on the zoom is good enough, I get the point. So yeah, so that's good. So I'm going through, I mean it's, it's completely new to me. So it's a lot to take in. It's a little bit different. Yeah, I think, I think my biggest challenge here. So I'm having a really hard time with it for two reasons. I'm just a really busy guy. So like I had to park out time for this call today. But like the rest of my day I have to work, you know, and so Like, I don't have white space to be able to put on the things. Like in the beginning, I feel like I'm not able to really input any actions to make any movement on the goals that I want to hit. You know what I mean? So I don't really know where to slap that stuff in. I mean, I have plenty of task stuff that I do throughout the day while I'm working, but I've got three kids and, you know, like, my days spent. So I put some things on here that were more related to, like, one of my goals is health and wellness, which is something I got on board with today to help increase my confidence and health. Right. So I did put in here, like, for example, like my workout, because I'm starting that today with a new phys, with a new trainer and everything. So I put that in here. But like, you know, I want to feel energized and, and committed to getting it done no matter what. So, like, I put that on there. But when it comes to like the dating with Gracie stuff, I don't, I don't have any room in here to make any action towards why I'm on the call to begin with, if that makes sense.
Yeah, it makes a lot of. It makes a lot of sense. And, and just so you know, like, that is super common and that's why a tool like this is so important. And are you saying that for like every day this week or are you just like, solely looking at today?
Well, I'm solely looking at today because that's the exercise. But I'm thinking in my head, like, man, this is going to be like, very consistent throughout the week. Although Monday is always my busiest day anyway. And so I'm trying not to get overwhelmed.
Yeah.
You know, because when you put it all down on paper, it's like, oh, my gosh, like, I'm only going to have an hour with my kids today. You know, like, it's.
Yeah.
So it gets tough, you know?
Yeah. And, and I, I totally hear you. That's where my brain goes to when I do this. Like, I, I have my entire thing filled out, like start to finish today, and I'm, I'm sitting here doing the exact same thing. And so what I want to challenge you with is like, like questioning when you're starting to feel that overwhelm is. Start to question it. Because what you started off saying was like, I have no time for anything else. I don't even have time for the goals that I have. And then when you kept going, you were like, but I did slot in one of my goals. I did slot in the health and wellness goal. Right. So you are doing the things, you are taking the steps forward to achieving your goals. And but when you lay it all out like this, it can look overwhelming. So just, just notice that it's okay that you're, you're feeling the overwhelm a little bit as you're starting to slot these into your day. But then go back and ask yourself, is that even true? Because you did slot in something for one of your goals. That's huge. That's a big step forward. Right. And so give yourself the credit for that. And then let's keep looking into the rest of the week. Right. And, and if you end up finding time, let's say tomorrow or Wednesday, as the week starts to slow down, what's the next thing that we can check off? Right. This isn't a tool to like, compound the overwhelm onto your week. Right?
Right.
But sometimes if you're, especially when you're looking at this from a day that is super busy, super jam packed, it makes sense that you're not going to have time for all these extra activities. So let's try to find the days that you probably do have a little bit more time, even if that's the weekend. Right. These, this planner is dated out through the weekend. And so there's seven days for each week in this planner. And so if you can only get to two of your goals this week, great. Let's focus on the two goals and be super intentional about that. If you're like, I don't have the capacity to hit all four goals this week, that's okay. That's just good to know. That's good to know. For next week, we're only going to look at two goals then if that's what you have the capacity for right.
Now, that makes me feel better. Thank you.
Yeah. Dave, I'd like to just give you a little bit of advice and really use your example. Thank you for sharing this. I mean, this is such a great example of something, somebody coming in who has never seen any of this before. I would expect them to feel very overwhelmed. And noticing looking at your day and you having this reality, like the slap of reality of I have such little time, little white space left for me to achieve anything. Like, that's the thought that is creating the overwhelm, when in reality, like the truth of the matter is, is that you actually did make some progress. You're starting on the health and wellness goals that you have and today actually you're meeting with a trainer today, which is massive progress towards something. When you look at that and you decide with intention that I'm going to allow myself to be proud, to feel like, I don't know, to feel confident that I know how to set goals and make progress towards them, like that's a thought too. Like you can choose when you see it in writing, like how the self sabotaging thoughts are going to be the ones that inundate our mind and when you see it and you have the opportunity to question it, how quickly you can come up with, well, I actually am making, I'm on this call, I'm learning a new system or a new strategy. I'm understanding that being intentional, not with where it is I'm going to be and what it is I'm going to be doing, but being intentional with the thoughts and feelings that I'm going to have around these events, that's what changes the game. And so it's a shift in focus. Once you realize I can either feel overwhelmed by continuing to believe this thought, which is unhelpful, which holds me back, which is going to have impacts on all areas of my life, or I can choose to focus on the believable thought of I actually am making a little bit of progress, I am a super busy guy and yet I am still making progress. You not only have the appointment with the personal trainer, but you also showed up to this call to learn this new strategy. And even if today is the only day you show up, the takeaway is the fact that you came feeling overwhelmed and you now know how to exchange that overwhelm for confidence because both thoughts felt very true to you. So, so why would you choose this? Why would you choose to stay focused on that thought? That's the kind of question that I have to ask myself every single day. When I wake up feeling overwhelmed. It's like, okay, do I want to continue to feel that way? What other, what other truths are there that I can stay focused on? It isn't like toxic positivity. It isn't, you know, the, the act of creating affirmations, it's really finding what's true for you. That's why on that daily planner it says what believable thought. So that's why these suggested thoughts on the back here, I don't claim that they're going to work for everyone. I think that there's tweaking that has to be done. Even I, I mean I came up with all those and I still tweak them to be believable for me today because that's just, I mean my primitive brain is off to the races today. Mondays are always crazy busy for me and if I sit and focus on that, it has an impact on my entire day. But if I notice it and I challenge my thinking on that, I can get myself to a much more like, like motivating, powerful, effective thought and feeling that also will have impacts on my, on my entire life.
I also think another piece that, that might be helpful for you Dave is like now seeing what your day truly looks like, like actually having all of the time slotted out and things like that and, and seeing that you don't have any white space. I would challenge you to stay in the, in the frame of the mindset of like, look at all that I'm capable of. Look at all that I'm capable of. Like keep checking in with yourself today and if you start to feel the overwhelm again, like you hit the third or fourth time today and you're like, oh, I still have these other ones to go and I don't have any time in between, come back to look at all I'm capable of. Look at what I just set out to do on my Monday. I didn't have any blank spaces for myself. Look at what I just got done for my day to start my week. Right. I think coming back to that can be really helpful because like I said, I feel this Mondays are my busiest days as well. And so I feel this almost every single Monday. My fear based brain immediately snaps into holy, we don't have any time today for anything. And it's like, no, no, go back. Look at all the things that I actually did make time for that I actually set out to do and I accomplished all in one day and then just kind of regroup from there.
In the chat, I think it was Jen Z Said that she likes to do this work. She takes 30 minutes to an hour on Sundays to do most of the planning for the week. I too usually do that. I plan out my full week.
Yeah, me too.
Yeah, I don't typically, I, I will have 5 minutes, 10 minutes every single morning where I will decide how I'm going to think and feel about the three events. I don't do that ahead of time, but I do plan out the whole week. And so I leave that last peace because I really want to be grounded and intentional about my thoughts and feelings. But actually planning out where you're going to be and what it is you're going to be Doing that can be done, you know, on a Sunday morning or whatever. So I think that's a great strategy. Thanks, Jen. And I know, I think Matias said he does the same thing. But I never want anyone to lose sight of the power in the deciding how it is you're going to think and feel. That's what separates this planner from every other planner out there. And again, these events can be something straight off of your schedule. It could be about a goal, it could be you could even pick the weight. Some of you who are losing weight or building muscle or whatever, it can be your body. That could be the event, that could be the circumstance. How is it that you want to intentionally think and feel? It's a game changer when you, when you slow down and do that work and it takes no more than 10 minutes every single day. Thank you, Dave for showing up even when you're this busy. I really do appreciate it and sharing your question. Anybody else, the last thing that I want to just point out is on the bottom every single day. I typically do this in retrospect. So tomorrow as I'm filling out my thoughts and feelings, my intentional thoughts and feelings, I will reflect back on today and I'll ask myself, did I feel overwhelmed? Did I feel like anxious, angry, frustrated? Do I, do I remember feeling that way? And I simply check the box again. There is so much value in seeing how when we are unintentionally feeling this way, how it can derail our day. And you have so much control over those feelings. It's not that you're bad for feeling that way. The heightened sense of awareness around when you are feeling that way will also bring you clarity in how much control you have. Those self sabotaging feelings create self sabotaging results. Okay, so we do want to have a heightened sense of awareness around when we're feeling that way. Not to beat ourselves up over it, but to have control over it. Because you can question, when you can tie it back to the thought that created it, you can question that thought. And that's where I would highly recommend getting coached. Showing up to the coaching calls that both memberships offer and getting very specific. On Monday, I noticed I was feeling lonely because I was having the thought that nobody else knows what this feels like, nobody else knows or has a life that is even close to as busy as mine. That's a thought. Show up and get coached on that. Be new to this work. It can be very challenging to question your own thoughts. That's why having a coach at your disposal is so, so valuable. Have the coach help you navigate that, process those feelings. Any questions? Okay. I do recommend taking take the next five minutes, look ahead in your week, do the planning, write down the commitments that you have, the reoccurring events that you have, look at the white space that shows up, plug in actions that are going to get you closer to achieving the goals that you've set for yourself. And then every single day, decide how it is that you're going to show up. And you do that by deciding how it is that you want to feel and what it is that you'd have to be thinking in order to feel that way. Hugely valuable. Absolutely. Life changing work right there. Okay, Any other questions? All right, thank you so much for showing up. We are here every single Monday to do this work together. Like I said, I highly recommend showing up to the group coaching calls to be able to process some of the thoughts and feelings that come up so that you can also get more tangible actions. So many people have feelings of confusion because they're thinking, I don't know what to do or this isn't working. Right, that's a thought. And we can help you feel more confident through trying different strategies. So we do focus a lot on actions as well, but we want those actions to be sustainable and so they have to be backed by self made feelings, not self sabotaging ones. Anything else, Gracie, that you want to say?
I think you kind of covered it again. I know that this tool can be kind of overwhelming, especially when you're learning it for the first time. So just give yourself the grace. You're learning a new tool. Just remember that it's okay that it feels overwhelming right now. It gets easier the more you put it into play like anything else. And so it's totally normal if that's where you're at. If you want to chat more about it or if you're like, I'm not totally understanding this piece or I'd like some more help with this piece, go ahead and just message me in school and we can keep talking about it. But proud of you, all of you, for showing up. I know that Mondays for most of us can be really busy. So again, give yourself the credit for showing up for yourself and taking the time out of your day to actually like get set up for the week.
So, all right, thanks again and we'll hopefully see you next Monday.
Take care. Bye, guys.
