Monday Reset Call Apr 21 2025

This is a recorded Monday Reset coaching call (Apr 21, 2025) led by Tracy Pleschourt, introducing and walking participants through a three-month goal-planning routine using the "Becoming Self-Made" planner. The call covers weekly practices (reflection, intentions, to-dos, brain dump, daily scheduling) and emphasizes emotional awareness—identifying feelings, their generating thoughts, and choosing emotional states to drive productive behaviors toward goals.

This meeting is being recorded. Morning. Good morning. Morning. Hello. How are you? I'm good. How are you? Good. How do you pronounce your name? It's Jodat Jordan. Joe Dut. Yeah. Okay. Yep. People put. People call me Joe so it's always even family, so that's easy. All right. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you, too. Just give it a minute here. So what sightseeing did you do this weekend? We did Abbott Kinney, which wasn't really sightseeing, but it was very overcast. So we thought about doing the observatory. But the day we got there Friday, it was super overcast. And then. So that day we just went. We went to Kinney and then we went to. We went to West Beverly Hills. Okay. Had dinner at Craig's. And then Saturday was her. Was her mastermind, so I walked her there, which was. It was a couple mile walk. And then I just worked out by the pool all day. Nice. Yeah. Griffin Observatory is a lot of like, what's in it too? Not just looking at the stars. Oh, really? Oh, yeah, yeah. Remember I said they have like a Tesla coil and. Oh, darn it. Yeah, that's okay. How is the Hermosi meeting? Is Gracie here? She's not here yet, no. Trying to get in right now. There we go. Hold on one second. One more coming in. Okay, so the hormones. He meeting Gracie. I think Gracie's on now. He got sick. He. He came back with the flu. Oh, so. So she never met him? She didn't get to meet him? No. Oh, no. Gracie, did you guys reschedule? They. They went on without him. They had the meeting without him because Sam Ovens is the co. Founder. He's actually the founder. And Alex Hormozi came in after the fact. And so Sam lives in la, the school headquarters are in la. Alex lives in Las Vegas. So he came down with the flu. So he didn't even come. And sent a message to everyone the night before just saying he had 104 temperature and. Yeah, it wasn't going to make it. So he's doing a call with them today. Oh, okay, cool. Yeah, so they had the. They had the meeting, you know, as planned, and then we'll get to be able to address Alex. So really what they missed out on was the pictures that they. Most of them were looking forward to. Sure, sure. Yeah. Yeah. But did you tell them, did you tell them, Gracie, that I need bookmarks in school? Yeah, it's. It's on the list for today, so that's sweet that I need that in my life. Yep. We went over all the things that she was going to ask on the plane, so I don't think she missed a beat or, you know, had to figure out where was the appropriate time to ask. So. Yeah. Yeah. Awesome. Yeah. All right, well, thank you for being here. We'll go ahead and get started. I never know if this is going to record, so I'm just going to go ahead and record it again. It says it's recording. I know, it always does. And then afterwards it's nowhere to be found, so it's kind of crazy. Oh, if you have the becoming self made goal planner, this is a great book to work from. I'll have Gracie drop the link in the chat in case you don't have it. You can buy it on Amazon. It's a three month daily planner that starts with an exercise of understanding which area of your life you're least satisfied with. From there, we dig in and we set some goals. So a lot of you like that are coming from the Dating with Gracie community. You already have goals, you know, that you want to change your dating life. So it's, you know, up for debate whether you'd have to go through that first exercise. If you wanted to, like maximize this book and really understand the other areas of your life that you want to improve upon, you're certainly welcome to go through that goal setting kind of discovery workshop if you'd like. So what we do on this call is we're making progress towards those goals that we set. And you do that with daily intention, you do that with deciding early on what are the best actions, what are the best practices that I would need to do in order to make progress towards these goals. And that list of actions is also created in that goals workshop. With that being said, if you haven't been through the workshop or you don't have the book, you can go into the community. There's worksheets that you can print out. And this call, even if you didn't have the worksheets and even if you didn't have the best practices, this is still the call to be on. Because we've got coaches in here, we've got obviously Gracie in here who can offer best practices if you're feeling stuck, if you're not quite sure what it is that you should do this week to make progress, she's here to offer suggestions. We've also got other coaches in here that are ready to help you with best practices or ideas in the context of finances, relations, other relationships, your professional life Your health and well being. So we, when we do that initial workshop, we are looking at your life comprehensively. We're looking at specifically eight different areas that really make up the whole of your life. So really nothing slips through the cracks. But with that being said, we pick just a couple goals to focus on, and we focus intently on those goals over the course of three months, which coincides with how long this book is or how many pages are available to you. So. And then from there, we reassess. So you essentially should be going through these workshops every three months. So you're reassessing what worked, what didn't work, and what kind of goals do you want to set moving forward. Even if they're the same goals, it's a really good idea to reassess every three months when you conclude this book. Okay, so any questions on. All right. We always have new people in this call. So if any of this is sounding confusing, if you need any sort of clarification, feel free to just chime in, ask a question. It's probably a question that somebody else has either already asked on a call, a previous call, or they're wondering as well. So don't be shy. This is a safe community. But the goal of this community is really to set us up for. Or the goal of this call is really to set us up for a really successful, productive week that gets us closer to our goals. Okay. And we do that again with intention. So where we start is. Let's see if I've got this working right. There we go. We start on this page. It's the weekly reflection. So we're reflecting back on the past week. Week. Okay, so if you don't have this worksheet or you don't have the book, no problem. I just want you to simply ask yourself, what worked well this past week? What worked well this past week? I want you to just to bullet point. If you want to make it as a journal entry, that's totally fine. Don't overthink it. I want to get your brain into a place that is. Is low emotions and high intellect. So think back to this past week. What worked well? I want you to resist the urge to think about what didn't work. We'll get there. Right now, I'm simply asking you the question, what worked well this past week? It. If you, if it helps you to look back, look back at some of the days of the week, kind of looking at your schedules, jog your memory, that might be helpful. Okay, second question. What didn't work this week? This past week, what didn't work? Now, I want you to state the facts. I don't want you to put a lot of adjectives. I don't want you to be overly dramatic. I want just the facts. What didn't work? Again, look back at your daily, at your schedules, and that might jog your memory of maybe some things that didn't get accomplished, or maybe there were some events that you forgot to practice, the thought, the feeling that you had decided you wanted to experience. Maybe look down here at the sabotaging feelings and let that jog your memory. What didn't work last week? And then finally, what will you do different this week? This is how we strategize. These three questions are the perfect question to be asking yourself every single time you have routine in your life, every single time you're trying something new. What worked about the way I went about this? What didn't work? And now from here, what can I do differently? These are the only three questions you need to ask yourself when you're trying something new so that you stay in a high intellect place, a low drama place. And then lastly, on a scale of 1 to 5, 1 not at all and 5 highly aware, how aware of the sabotaging feelings were you? So throughout your week, throughout the day, were you aware of the fact that you are feeling guilt or shame or anger? Lonely? When you become aware that you're experiencing those sabotaging feelings, I want you to check the box on that daily planner. I often do it in retrospect. On the day, the next morning, as I'm planning my current day, I reflect back on the past day. Whatever works for you. The objective is just to have a heightened sense of awareness around those feelings. There is nothing wrong with having those feelings, with experiencing shame or disappointment or frustration. Those are very normal feelings and you should feel those feelings. I want you to be aware of the moment that you're feeling it. Oh, this is me feeling disappointed because I was rejected. Okay. Having that heightened sense of awareness around what it is that you're feeling in the moment can be incredibly helpful in kind of lifting the veil of shame. So many of us compound those sabotaging feelings with shame, thinking we shouldn't be feeling that way. And that couldn't be further from the truth. We should feel those emotions. Pain is something that we learn from being vulnerable, feeling lonely, feeling unworthy, that's painful. And we're actually supposed to feel those feelings so that we can learn from it. What we shouldn't be feeling is the suffering that Comes from when we make that pain mean something bad about us. When we lie to ourselves and tell ourselves we shouldn't be feeling lonely or vulnerable or disappointed. That's where the suffering comes from, is when we make the pain mean something about our worth. So our antidote to that, the way our strategy to help you get good at feeling those feelings without making it mean something is checking these boxes. It seems so silly and it seems so tedious, you guys. It's life changing work when you can start feeling angry without making it mean that you're broken. When you can feel angry. Of course I'm angry. I'm thinking this. If I don't want to be angry any longer, I can choose to believe something different. Like it's perfectly normal to feel angry under these circumstances. That's a thought. And that might be the million dollar thought that's going to work for you. That's going to create a self made result versus a self sabotaging result. And what I'm saying I know is very 2.0. It is a little bit more advanced, but we'll get there. Okay? So that's why we do this work. So on a scale of 1 to 5, how aware were you of your feelings? And then the second question is, on a scale of 1 to 5, how much control do you feel over the progress that you're making towards your goals? Do you feel like you have no control? So probably one. Do you feel like you are feeling like doing this work, staying in an emotional place of control? You're probably a five. And now you just want to look back to the past weeks and see if you met, if you're meeting or exceeding those past scores. That's the objective. Okay, the next page, weekly intentions. Now we do that past page, the weekly reflection and the weekly intention together every single week. You never have to feel alone while doing this work. This is your safe place. Come every single week to set your intentions, to get the support that you need, to ask questions, to really drill down and figure out what are the actions that I need to take that are going to get me closer. Okay, so if you want to set your week up for success, show up to this call because this is the moment that you're going to make the decisions about how this week is going to unfold. So this is how we do it. We turn to the weekly intention page for your worksheet. You simply put today's date, Monday 4 21. And you decide what are your goals for the week. Now this is your decision, you guys. There's no right or wrong answer to this. Here's what you can do to figure out what goal you want to be working on. You can flip to the front of the book and look at the goals that you set for yourself at the beginning of these three months. If you're in the Dating with Gracie program, I know a lot of you have been through onboarding calls that she's given you. Some, like, next steps. If you're early on in this, I would make those ne next steps, your goals. Any other. Feel free to chime in. Yeah, no, I think that's. That's definitely what you should put on this page is whatever week you're on in your plan. This is how you'd fill it out. You would put those tasks that I gave you for each week into each one of these goals. Okay? If you're somebody. If you're somebody who had a weight loss goal. And again, we did this assessment of our life. And so some people found that health and wellness was their area of focus, and maybe they decided they wanted to lose 20 pounds in the next three months, and they might have also had their finger on the pulse of a relationship goal as well. So from that, we have no more than four goals, and four is a lot, you guys. We have no more than four goals that we're working towards every single week. They can one area of focus. They could all be related to your dating life. They could all be related to your health and wellness. They could all be related to your professional advancement aspirations. Okay, but they don't have to be. You might have a goal to finish the onboarding checklist within dating with Gracie. And you might also have a goal to get to the gym four times this week. You might also have a goal to connect with three new people in your life. And you might also have a goal to get more water into your days. Okay, so you can see there's two areas of focus there, and there's four separate goals. When we did this initial work, you guys, when we decided what our goals were on those smart goal pages, we listed out the actions that if we were watching somebody achieve the health and wellness goal of losing ten pounds, we did the work. Remember, if we were watching somebody else achieve these goals, what would we be seeing them? If we were watching somebody else lose 10 pounds, what would we see them doing? Okay, so flip back to that smart goal and help yourself out with what are some of the actions that might make sense for me to take this week? These kind of micro goals. Does anybody have any questions I think I saw some in the chat. Okay, so even if you don't have this worksheet, I still want you to decide what, what are the actions you're going to take this week to get closer to your goals? Take a few minutes it once you've got your goals now I want you to ask yourself what are the actions you're willing to take this week that will get you closer to achieving these goals? If 4 feels like too much, you can have one area of focus, one goal that you're working on. A lot of us live very busy lives and we don't have a lot of extra time to be putting towards additional goals. Right? You might have one goal this week to get through how to approach women. Or you might have one goal this week to create your eating plan in the morning before you actually you. You decide ahead of time what it is that you're going to eat and when and what you actually make that protocol every single day. Okay? It's totally fine if you have one goal that you're focusing on this week. Does anybody need any help? Okay, flip the page. We're now on weekly to do's. These are all of the non goal related to do's. It's really, really important that you think of this book as like the keeper of all of your intentions. Okay? So that you don't have to have all of these different tools that you need to access. You've got one place that holds all of your intentions. So this, I want this weekly to do list to grow throughout the week. Look back at what you had last week. Transfer over anything that didn't get done. Ask yourself if it didn't get done. Is it really that important? Often if it didn't get done for me, it's something that I end up deleting. It was a nicety and I obviously didn't have enough time and I probably won't have time this week either I either delegate it or I delete it. But this is. Look at your texts, look at your emails, look at the little post it notes that you have around the house. Think ahead to this week, things that need to get done. So mine was because Gracie and I spent a lot of time in the airports this week. Every single checkpoint we went through told us don't forget to get your real id. Think it's may something. I should know it because they said it a million times is the deadline for the real id. So I've got that now on my list of things to do. I've got some follow Up. Bug season is quickly approaching. I need to get outside and spray for bugs. It's things like that, right? These are not things that are going to get me any closer to my goals, but these are things that are taking up space in my mind. My mind. My brain is not a vault. My brain is a processor. If I treat it like a vault where it needs to keep all of this information, it can become very overwhelming. All right, we're trying to set ourselves up for success. So we're just putting it into a list that we can access, that we can reference as we move through our week. All right, the next page is the brain dump. This is how I want you to use this page. I want you every single morning to come back to this page. Simply put, today's date. Ask yourself, how am I feeling? Okay, now again, this is. Work fast. A lot of us want to run from. A lot of people do not want to answer that question. How am I feeling? If you need help understanding or expanding your vocabulary in emotions, page 26 is a list of all the self sabotaging feelings. Peruse this list. Am I feeling frustrated? Am I feeling unworthy? Am I feeling isolated, misunderstood? Am I feeling embarrassed? Right. Maybe you're feeling self made emotions or helpful emotions, which is great, but you just don't know what exactly it is that you're feeling. Turn to page 32, you'll see a list of self made feelings. Gratitude, love, empathy. Confident. Curious. Innovative. Peruse these feelings and start to expand your vocabulary on emotions. Okay. Every single day. So how are you feeling? And I'll answer the question, why? Why am I feeling that way? The answer is always a thought. It's what's going through your mind. It's a belief. It might be very, very subconscious. And until you ask yourself, why am I feeling that way, you don't even realize it's coming from a thought. Maybe you're feeling overwhelmed. And when you ask yourself, why am I feeling overwhelmed? Because I have so much to do and I don't have enough time or I'm. I don't know where to start. That's a thought. And that's the thought I want you to write down. So for me, I'm feeling appreciative. And the thought is, I love Monday mornings. Especially the ones that get to start slow. Like the ones where I get to get up, take a shower, grab a cup of coffee and just kind of take my time getting into the day. The Monday mornings where I have to run into my office like my hair is on fire, not so much fun. This Monday morning is an awesome Monday morning and I. So I feel very appreciative of that. Okay, this is you guys. This is how you stay aware of what it is that you're feeling and why the thought that's creating it. Your feelings 100% of the time are created by what it is that you're thinking intentionally and unintentionally. I want to get you really good at recognizing what is creating, what is the root cause of my emotions and here's why. Emotions drive behaviors. Emotions drive behaviors. So if you have a goal and you know what the actions are that you need to be taking, you want to create the emotion that's going to drive that behavior. You do not want to stay in an unintentional space and let doubt or regret or loneliness drive a behavior because if it does, it creates a self sabotaging result. So it's so very important that we stay aware of how it is that we're feeling. And this is a very simple exercise that captures that on a day to day basis. Now you can of course do a journal entry if you'd like. I. A lot of my brain dump pages are very full of like, it almost looks like dissertations, right? I am writing, I am talking to myself, I'm doing my self coaching exercises because that works for me. Okay, the next page, going to get to it. We're going to do the daily schedule for today. Okay, so starting off just all I want you to do is date the next seven days. Monday 4 21, Tuesday 4 22. Wednesday 4 23. Thursday 4 24. Friday 4 25. Saturday 4 26, Sunday 4 27. Okay, easy. Date the next upcoming seven days and come back to Monday 4 21. All right, now I want you to fill in your daily schedule with what it is that you already know you're committed to doing today. Okay? So right now you're on the reset call. 9:00am Central Standard Time. Reset call. What's your next commitment? Write down the time and what it is that you're committed to doing. I like to skip some spaces so that I can see I've got some white space you can break this down into. You can be as detailed as you want. You could break it down into the 15 minutes, you could block it in five hour chunks. That's helpful. I know a lot of you work outside the home and I have a lot of clients who go to a corporate office and they're there from nine to five. So that's what it says, nine to five. At whatever their place of business. With that being said, arguably there's going to be other things that fall into your day, and I want you to capture those things. I have a client. She's not on here right now, but she discounts all the things if she's not at work. She doesn't think it belongs on her calendar. She's like, there's just nothing else about my day that I need to write down. Like, that's true. That's not true. I know you're probably going home and you're going to eat dinner around 6 o'. Clock. Write it down. Because the value of making decisions ahead of time is in even the little things, the insignificant things. What we're doing with this exercise is learning so much about ourselves. Yes, this is a time management tool, but it's also an emotional and a mental management tool. And when you have those three things, time management, emotional management, and mental management, you win, I promise. So do yourself the favor of doing this work every single day. If it doesn't make sense to detail every single little thing while at work, that's okay. Just block it out. From nine to five, I'm at work. And then from five to six, maybe you're commuting back home. Write it down. Maybe you've got an appointment with a chiropractor or you've scheduled time to return some calls. None of that is too insignificant that it shouldn't fall on your schedule. Okay, so while I'm talking and giving you guys time to figure out your schedule today, if you have reoccurring commitments throughout the week like I do, you can certainly put those down on Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday. Things you already know, you've committed to. This is the time that you would. You would be writing those down. So as you can see, I did this last night on the plane. I quickly added all of my commitments, all the things that I already know is going to happen. Now. This is going to look a lot different. By the end of the week, my schedule, like your schedule, changes. Right? That's great. But for right now, I want to see what white space I have. Okay? And why do I want to know what kind of white space I have? Because this is the opportunity for me to look back at this list and look at these actions and decide, where is this going to fall in? You guys, a goal without a plan is a dream. And take it from me, I have lived my life dreaming. A goal without a plan is a dream. You have to be intentional. Be intentional with your plans. Decide. Okay? I know what the actions are that I need to be taking. They're listed right here. Where are they going to fit in in my week? By doing this work, you quickly see where the white space is and you start plugging in the actions, the best practices that you know you need to be taking. Now, if this day is pretty full and you know that before you hit the bed tonight, that you've got to follow up with somebody, but you just don't know where it's going to fit. This is what this box is for. Okay. The things that you intend to get done today, but you're not sure where they're going to fit in. It might be on the fly. Okay, so it could be coming from this list, it could be coming from this list, but this is your opportunity to take it from here from an intention to it's going to get done today. Okay? This is how you use these two pieces. Any questions? Okay, here's where it gets fun. And this is what sets us apart from every other goal planner, day planner journal out there. We decide ahead of time how it is that we want to be feeling at three different points of our day. So there's going to be three events that I'm going to ask you to choose from either your schedule or the daily to do's it could be. I would let you also choose a goal that you've set. It's a circumstance that's inside of your life. It could be a person that's a part of your life or a part of your day. But three events, I want you just to pick three. The easiest thing to do is to look back at your schedule and take it right from your schedule. Often mine is like event one is the reset call, event two is the is the podcast recording, and event three is usually something a little less significant. Okay, so choose your events that you want to decide ahead of time how it is that you're going to be feeling. Okay, so I'm choosing the podcast, the recording of the podcast. Gracie's going to let me sit in on the Alex Horosi call and the follow up with couple clients. Okay, and those are my three events that I'm choosing. Now go back to event one and ask yourself, how do you want to feel? Ideally, ideally, how do you want to feel as you show up to this event? Now here's another little trick you guys. A lot of people will be asking themselves, how do I want to feel about that event right now? Okay, that's leading up to the men. That's not.
