Monday Reset Call Feb 10 2025

Tracy Pleschourt leads a group planning session where members review the past week, set four or fewer goals, and fill daily planners by choosing three events and how to feel about each. Brent shares a career opportunity; Linda shifts from anxiety to curiosity about workplace changes. The focus is noticing thoughts that drive feelings and building habits through small, consistent reps.

Hello.
Hi.
How are you? I love that color on you.
That's really pretty.
Thank you. We're recording a Valentine's Day podcast right after this, so I thought I'll get my makeup on.
Very cute. I got to get back into. I got to make the space and find the space in my calendar to be able to listen to this because it's like right now I'm doing so many other things and I haven't done it for a while, so I'm going to have to make a point of it. I'll put that down on my notes as something to do today.
Good morning.
That was me, sorry. Making a terrible noise. I'll turn my audio off now.
Good morning.
Good morning.
Good morning. How are you doing?
Very good.
That's good.
Hey, I'm very confused now.
You're very confused. Oh, let all these guys in.
There we go.
Okay, let me get the visuals up. I think that helps. Give it one more minute here. Morning, Janet.
Good morning.
You're all self made. You out. Just barely.
Just slid into my chair.
Man, I love it.
Busy, busy, busy. Hello, everybody. Good to see everybody, buddy.
Morning. Morning. After that Super Bowl. Congratulations, Cara.
I guess.
I, We.
We're kind of aliens in a foreign land, you know, we're not. We don't really watch football, and so we. But we lit up our house so we could, you know, blend in.
That's funny.
Oh, my.
Yeah.
So you're happy to today, Cara?
Oh, I, I, I'm indifferent. I, I don't. They shut. There's three different bridges on the east side going into Philly from New Jersey, and they shut down the bridges. I don't know what they do with.
The rest of the city. And.
But they, they shut the bridges down so people can't get in or out of the city because it's so chaotic. And there's a. They have the whole city lit up green and they, they had city hall lit up. Let's see if I can.
How fun. Yeah.
But there's this massive street that here's. You guys can see that.
Oh, how cool. You keep talking.
That they have. And then here's city hall, which is that. There's that statue guy on top that they always show whenever they do B roll of silly in movies. But there's this massive street called Broad street right in front of that, and that's where they all convene after. And it's. It's huge. It's like a six or seven lane street. And that's where all the fires and looting and the straight poles get climbed on and knocked over. And this year carried through the city despite the mayor's request to not do that. Like they greased the poll polls, people still manage. It's just I've been posing and it's like the, the, the, the team should pay for the city damages and all of that stuff.
Oh, yeah. Well, congratulations.
Thank you. It was definitely, that was, that was sad.
Yeah, a little unexpected.
Yeah.
They were out for blood.
Like they, they were not happy about the super bowl two years ago, so they were out for revenge and yeah, they definitely got it.
So.
Yeah.
All right, well, let's get started. Can you see my screen? Yeah. Okay. You can see the visuals?
Yeah.
Okay, great.
Get this a little bit bigger.
Okay. So if you're from Gracie's membership or community, she did post, if you go into school, it is pinned to the top these worksheets that you would be using to do this reset every single week. Okay. So it includes seven days of the planner, it includes this weekly intention, and it includes a weekly reflection. If you're working from the book, there's very similar pages. If you need these, let me know, I'll make sure I get them to you. And even if you don't have these, this is a great call to be on because the objective is to set the tone for your week. I do not understand people who, who have been exposed to this concept and don't take advantage of it. Not specifically the self made you concept, but being intentional about your week because it changes everything and it requires time and it requires a little bit of effort. And so that's where the resistance comes in. But I promise you, if you deliberately set aside an hour every week to decide where it is, you're going to be, what it is you're going to be doing, how it is that you're going to be feeling and what thoughts and beliefs will create that feeling. You win. And so that's what this call is meant for, is a no brainer. You just set and forget that you're going to be here. Set it and, and don't think about it the rest of the week. Don't let this like hang over your head. I have to. All you got to do is show up for this call and we will hold your hand through this process. So where we want to start this week is by looking at the weekly intentions sheet that you did last week. Okay. So the sheet looks like the one that's on my screen. And the weekly intentions would have been dated Monday 23 February 3rd. And I just want you to peruse that look at what actually got accomplished, what didn't. It's just a good place to start to kind of take note. You may not have even referenced it throughout the week. Now is an opportunity to kind of go back and put some check marks next to the things that were accomplished. But this is going to help you fill out the weekly reflections. So I'm just going to skip forward to that. That's what this page is, the visual. And all I want you to do is be really honest with yourself and answer the question, what worked well this week? And it, the, the conclusions don't have to come from that page that you were just looking at. There could have been things with other people, with conversations that happen. Maybe it was the way you performed, maybe you got out for a walk, maybe, maybe you had a conversation with a boss that you've been wanting to have. Maybe it doesn't have anything to do with what you intended to do, but it certainly could. And so what worked well this week? And I'm asking that question be from at the start of this part, the exercise, because I want to get your brain in a space where emotions are low and intellect is high. It's human nature to berate yourself, tell yourself you didn't do enough, and to ultimately let your brain go to what didn't work first. And we're going to resist the urge to do that and we're going to start with what worked again so that we keep the emotions low and we fire up our brain and get really creative and curious about what actually worked. Maybe you showed up for this call last week, that worked okay. Doesn't have to be anything monumental. What were the things that worked last week? Anybody have anything they want to share about what worked last week? I know a lot of you were on this call, so I applaud you for that. And you came back. That definitely worked. Maybe you were more aware of your feelings, which is a huge step in the right direction. Maybe you found yourself asking why am I feeling this way? Which is also a huge step in the right direction.
You can share.
Yeah, go ahead.
Sunday was my birthday and my daughter and son in law and two little ones were up here at our home. And that can be sometimes trying a little prickly because we're all different, of course. But I was very proud that we all just kept forging forward. And you know, Frank and I knew our time was limited and we just kept trying to take the high road, so to speak, especially with the grandchildren, because things Were just a little chaotic, Terrible twos, tantrums, and watching parents parent. But I was very pleased with all of us that we, we all focused on the love that we have for each other. We, for the most part, didn't take things seriously. And, and it was good. And so I was very pleased about the relationship piece and that we just let each other, be each other and accept each other.
Excellent, Excellent, Brent.
So I had a general goal of just making more money. And one of the sub goals I had under that was to develop more skills and be more self aware and also just listen to more like sales books and customer service books and such. And I had one of the area managers at my job just reach out to me and just be like, hey, like your VP recommended you for a position. And it just kind of, I mean, it was reinforcing of like everything that I've been working on. So it just felt like the world was kind of manifesting things. Like for me now, I'm not sure if I'm gonna take it, but the fact is, it's like there's opportunities out there and that people are seeing my value, you know, because of the work I'm putting in.
Yeah, yeah. And own that. Right. Like, this has everything to do with the person that you're becoming. You're attracting these kind of things to you. I know you said manifesting, which is kind of the same thing, but I don't ever want you to think that this is happening because of any other reason other than the fact that you are becoming the person that attracts those things to you. You are doing the work, and I heard you say that. So I just want to underscore that that's huge. And the fact that you are aware of that. And I want you to really challenge yourself to stay in that place of awareness. This is me being intentional about how I think and feel so that I attract what it is that I want. It's not luck. It's not due to other people. They might have have a role in it, but it, it's the fact that you're doing the work to become the man who attracts the things that you want. So bravo.
Well, I was gonna say too, now that you're. That. Now that you're talking about that, like, when I went to Walmart this past week, like, I just walked through the door and there was like this beautiful girl that like walked by and I was like, dang it, like, I don't feel ready for this just yet. But I had to kind of talk myself up a bit. And I just went over and said hi and I gave her a compliment. But I mean, I feel like the world's kind of putting those opportunities in front of me now. I just need to kind of hone in my skills a little bit more.
Well, and when you're ready, when you're ready, you'll feel motivated to take that next step, Right? So the world might be putting all those things in front of you because that's what you're ready for. You're ready to start seeing those things, but you may not. So I don't want to hear like the I should have, you know, that kind of thinking starts to sabotage you. Like, stay in the place of. I have done the work to, to get to this place where I'm seeing new opportunities, some new, some new experiences manifesting, and I'll be ready. I'll know when I'm ready to take that next step. Okay, so these, this is all about progress. It's not about starting at A and expecting that you're at Z immediately. So give yourself a lot of credit for the progress that you're making. So, great job. Now I want you guys to fill in that next section of what didn't work. And the reason why we come to this second is because again, intellect is high, emotions are low. So we want to answer this question with a high level of intellectual. We want to keep the drama out of it. So what are the facts? I want you to challenge yourself to answer this question. Whether you have this sheet in front of you or not, or you have the book in front of you or not. I want you to answer the question what didn't work last week? And I want you to answer it with just the facts. Keep all of the drama, all of the emotions, all of the stories out. Just the facts. What didn't work? And now using those facts, what will you do different this next week? Because the next step in this exercise is to set our intentions for this week. And being armed with the facts, you can make really strong decisions. When these decisions don't have a lot of drama attached to it, you're going to make stronger decisions about the steps you're going to take this week. So what will you do different this next week? Looking at the facts. And now at the bottom of that sheet, you'll see rate my week. This is for your eyes only. On a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being not all 5. Being highly aware. How aware of the sabotaging feelings and the thoughts that were create. That were creating those feelings. How aware Were you in those moments of feeling unworthy, vulnerable, frustrated, overwhelmed last week, how aware were you of what was really at the root of those feelings? Most of us, if we're not thinking about it, we will think it's because of our job. We will think it's because of the customer that treated us poorly. We'll think it's because of the super bowl outcome. We'll think it's because of how cold it is outside. Right. We'll think it's because of the circumstances that happened that made me feel frustrated, resentful, disappointed, angry. When in reality it was the thoughts that you were thinking about those circumstances. So this is for your eyes only, but on a scale of 1 to 10, how aware were you of first, the feelings that you were having throughout the week and what was really causing those feelings? And then secondly, on a scale of 1 to 5, how much control do you feel over the progress that you're making towards your goals? And these ratings are here to help you yet again see the progress. So that week over week, are you meeting or exceeding those numbers, those ratings? And now we go to the weekly intentions. So put Today's date. Monday, February 10th, I want you to restate your goals. None of us should have more than four goals. You can flip back to last week's weekly intention to help you remember. What are those goals? You can flip Back to page 18 through 21, where you set the goals, the smart goals. And underneath, at the very bottom of those sheets are all of the actions that you brainstormed that would help you achieve those goals. So this part of the exercise is setting the intentions for the week. And you might have really big goals that are going to take some breaking down. So this is what are this week's intentions? What are this week's goals? So you can either put the full goal, the big goal, or if you want to break it down a little bit, either way is fine. And a lot of times, if I'm being honest, I'm transferring. I'm looking back at last week's intentions, and because my. My goals are really big, they stay the same week after week, and I just start changing what the actions are that I'm going to do for that week. It anybody have any questions? I also look at the weekly to do list that I did last week. I reference that and see if there's anything that has anything to do with these goals that I may have not gotten to.
The weekly to do list that's just kind of more of like a miscellaneous list of things that may or may not have to do with the weekly intentions.
Exactly, exactly. So even as you're filling this sheet out, other things are going to come to mind. Right? Like I gotta make that dentist appointment. Your, your brain, you're telling your brain, okay, let's focus on the actions that I need to take to get closer to my goals. And your brain, your primitive brain is going, but, but, but don't forget, don't forget, you gotta do this, you gotta do that. That's what that next sheet is for, is to really catch all of the but, but, but, but, but. The distractions, the shiny objects so that you don't have to keep it up here.
Got it.
Okay, so I'll just give you another minute to make sure that your weekly intentions, the goals that you're going to be focusing on, and the actions that would need to be taken in order to achieve those goals are listed. Okay? Now the next step is if you take, you go to this next sheet, the weekly to dos and again reference last week's things that may have not gotten done. I have it. I have three quarters of that sheet filled out from last week and over half of it didn't get done. Okay? So I'm just moving it to this week's weekly to do. And I'm adding to it the things that are also little notes that are around tech. I, I often look at my text, I look at emails, things that are kind of pressing. And so I have it all in one place, this week's weekly to do list. And as you're assessing last week's, ask yourself, if this didn't get done, how important is it? Is it really that important? Is it something that I could delegate? Is it something I could delete? Is it something that I could postpone? Not getting it done the week before is often a sign of its importance to you. And so it's just a good opportunity to ask yourself those questions. And now the next sheet is the brain dump. And what I do here is I just put Today's date, Monday, February 10th, and I just jot down what it is that I'm feeling right now. Because we're being honest. As we're planning out our week, often we start to feel anxious. Some of us start to feel restless, some of us start to feel.
We'Ll.
Start to see that hyper achiever saboteur showing up that I can't be satisfied all these things are done, or if I don't get all these things done, I'm a complete failure, or I have to be the best. Or these all have to be done at an A plus level. Or maybe your thoughts are I really want to impress these people and so I have to get these things done in order for people to like me, in order for people to see my worth. Now, those aren't going to be the thoughts that are on the surface. You have to kind of dig a little bit deeper and ask yourself why? If you're feeling worried. Why am I worried? What am I really worried about? That they aren't going to like me. That if things aren't in perfect order, it's not going to be good enough. This brain dump area is your place to come back to every single day. Quickly jot down the date and a little self coaching session for you. And now the next page is the Daily planners. And so what I want you to do is I want you to flip through all seven days and at least date them. So this first One is Monday, February 10, Tuesday, February 11, Wednesday, February 12, Thursday, February 13, Friday, Valentine's Day, February 14. Gracie has her webinar at 5 o' clock Central Standard Time. Go ahead and add it to your schedule. Saturday, February 15th and Sunday, February 16th. Okay, I'm just taking you through exactly how I do my daily planners. And now I look at this part, this today's schedule, and I do fill out anything that's reoccurring anything that I already know is going to happen, things that I've committed to reoccurring events for the entire week. So I flip through and anything, you know, if I have a I do like my little morning self coaching. Every Single morning at 7:00. I put 7:00am Self coaching today, 9:00am Reset call, 1:00pm Record the podcast. These are all things I know and I just fill them out and I do flip to the the rest of the week and I do fill out anything that I'm already committed to, knowing that a lot of that's going to shift or there's going to be things. Okay, now if you're back on today's daily planner, now I want you to flip back to your weekly intentions and ask yourself, is there anything that fits into today's schedule? Where's my white space? And how can I make some progress on my goals? So you're looking at the actions on that weekly intentions page. You're looking at any of these actions and asking yourself, can I fit anything, even the smallest little thing into today's schedule? Or is are any of these things something I want to do? I'm not sure where it's going to fit. And if that's the case, it just goes into the daily to do section.
It foreign.
To do section are things that I am intending to get done today. I may not know exactly what time it's going to fall, but this is where I'll look at my weekly to do's. I'll look at the actions that are attached to my goals and I just make a decision of what from those lists can I get done today. I might not know exactly what time. If I do know what time I schedule it. If I don't know what time, it just gets listed here. And the commitment that I've made to myself is before my head hits the pillow, these things are going to get done. So for somebody who's trying to lose some weight, maybe it's they want to drink eight glasses of water with electrolytes today. That would be in my daily to do's. If it's something related to changing my dating life, maybe making a list of the new places that I want to check out that might be date worthy places. I don't know exactly when I'm going to have time to do that, but when I have a little bit of free time, I'm going to do some research. And now this next section is by far the most important part of your daily plan. What I want you to do is I want you to pick three events. Whether they're coming from today's schedule or they're coming from some of the commitments that you want to execute, it doesn't matter. It could even be something bigger than that. It could actually be the goal itself. But I want you to name three events today that you are going to decide right now how you want to feel about that event. It might be a person that you are going to be exposed to today or that you're thinking a lot about today. It could be something more worldly. Maybe you're really having a hard time with the super bowl outcome. You can decide how you want to think and feel about that. Because why spend our day feeling any sort of self sabotaging emotions when we do have a choice? We don't have to feel that way because it will without intention, it will sabotage our efforts. It could be your weight, it could be your love life, it could be the doctor's appointment. It might be your 9 to 5 job. Okay, pick three events today. And now ask yourself, ideally, how do I want to feel about this event? I have a root canal that I'm getting today. So it's a really good event to choose because A, I am absolutely not looking forward to it. B, they've just texted me. I've. I've had the appointment set earlier this morning for two o'. Clock. They just texted me and said, you have to come in at 11:30. Things just shifted like, well, that's a problem because I have a phone call at noon and now I have a root canal and we're going out of town on Wednesday. I cannot leave here with the kind of pain, tooth pain that I'm in. So I have to make this happen. So it's definitely something that I want to get. My mind, my emotions and my thoughts, I want to manage those. If I sit here and think this isn't fair, it's going to have a impact on my day. If I think I'm lucky that I actually got in, you know, I was, I'm being woke up in the middle of the night with this tooth pain. And I called them this morning and I told them and they said, we can get you in for an emergency appointment. I'm lucky that I actually have that resource and that's where I want to stay. I want to stay in that place of gratitude because that's going to motivate me. Right? They also just texted me what the cost estimate is. Rip canals are not cheap. Again, it's life, right? This is a circumstance I don't have a lot of control over. Again, I feel fortunate that I have the resources. So I want to feel grateful. Obviously I am in a lot of pain, but I want to feel grateful because I have the re. And the thought is I'm lucky that I have these resources. Now, if I wasn't being intentional about this, guess where my brain would go, right? This isn't fair. This shouldn't be happening. This is a huge inconvenience which would make me feel very frustrated and it's going to certainly impact all the other things in my day. Okay, I want you guys to make sure you are filling out Event one, two and three. Does anybody want to share share or do they need any help? Because often an event you can ask yourself, ideally, how do I want to feel about this? And you can come up with the emotion. I want to feel even neutral. Or maybe I just want to feel indifferent or maybe I want to feel excited. But you have no idea what thought is going to create that emotion. I can help you. That's part of the benefit of being on this call. So if anybody needs any help with getting into a place where they're thinking and feeling different about an event. And this could be an event that is a reoccurring event every single day of your life. Maybe it's your weight. Maybe it's a relationship.
Tracy, I'll go if you want an example.
Yes, please.
And I'll try to keep it politically neutral.
Okay.
But I work in an environment where, like all my. So I'm an. I work for a consulting company. I work in the government services group. All the work we sell and deliver is to the federal government. And our, you know, our business is significantly impacted by, you know, the new administration's actions, for good or for bad. But, like, you know, wholesale accounts are being closed. Because we had over 200 people working at USAID. We have an account of people working at ED. My client is the Social Security Administration. So I'm, like, waiting to see what's going to happen to our book of business. What's. How am I going to redeploy people? So every day that I, you know, get up to go to work, I don't want to feel dread. I want. I don't want to feel anxiety, and I don't want to be, like, worried about people's jobs.
Right. So trying to figure out that obvious thoughts are. That lead you to dread, anxiety, and worry. What are the obvious? Like, it's not obvious to most people what's actually causing those emotions, but you're living it. So tell us, what are those thoughts that are creating or potentially could create Dread.
Contract. You mean the actual realities of the situation? Yeah, I mean, the thoughts about it are that I'm not going to be able to meet the sales and delivery goals that have been put upon me as the leader in the firm. That I am not going to be able. Able to.
Why is that a problem? Why would that be a problem?
Well, it impacts my income, potentially. It impacts other people's jobs. We could have to lay people off. Impacts my clients that are losing their jobs.
Yeah. And what are the underlying primitive thoughts? This isn't fair. I can't control this. Why is this happening?
I mean, for sure I can't control this. Important services that people need are going to be disrupted. The people. You know, again, I'm. I don't want to get into the politics of it, but, like, my prime, you know, I Ultimate fear of people that don't really understand government are in, you know, in the systems and in the, you know, are gonna cause, you know, damage. I don't know. I mean, I live. I live less than three miles from the plane crash. I'm Scared. I'm scared that like FAA systems are going to go down and yeah, like, yeah, it's very normal inducing.
Yeah. So normal. Because our primitive brain, we all have that part of our brain that is constantly scanning for danger to keep us safe. And so none of us can actually shut that down. That's very normal for that part of our brain to be out there scanning for danger, offering us these thoughts like what if?
Right.
Like that's so normal. But when we recognize that, that what if thought is actually responsible for the worry that perpetuates behavior that I may or may not actually outwardly be showing, it all might be happening internal it all, it could be outward as well. It could make you very like hyper vigilant. It might make you very short with people. It might make you angry, it might make you forgetful. Like there's a lot, there is a huge trickle effect of the emotion of worry. And so for that reason alone, we want to be aware of the thought that's responsible for that feeling. Yeah, it's very easy for us to blame it on a circumstance and just let it go.
Yeah.
And go about our day. But you guys, when we do that, we give up all control. That's. We started using a, like a headline, how to feel in control in an out of control world. Because so much is changing right now and so many people are feeling out of control. But if that's where our focus lies on how out of control we are, just do a quick assessment, you guys. How does that make you feel? And notice when you feel that way what that does from a behavioral standpoint. How do I show up? And you can be very honest with just yourself. This isn't something that has to be shared, but I just want you guys to notice that. And there are ways that we can change the way we're feeling. It may not change the reality, but if we do the work to find a different area of focus, we will change the way we're feeling. It may be very subtle, but that subtle shift will undoubtedly change the, the behaviors. The way we show up. And this is our life. This is each and every one of our lives, minute by minute by minute. When we realize that we can control the way we're showing up.
I found that like my, I followed my, my planning goal of doing this book every day more last week than I did in other weeks. And I'm convinced it's because my thought was sort of like, I can't control the world, but I can control my this day. Like at some level, like we can't control our day either. But, like, if I plan my day and I plan my week and I plan sort of and I take it day by day, it's more digestible.
Right.
And then you don't get as caught up in the what ifs because you're just looking at today. So, yeah, I'm just finding that it's like a grounding way to live the day in the present and deal with the things that come up that day and, and not sort of let my mind wander too far into the future of what's next or not. But anyway, that's sort of how I'm approaching it.
Yeah. And that's. Thank you for sharing. And I want to just say that this is kind of that compounding exercise that when you realize, oh, the thought, the belief that I can take this day by day, that grounds me. Now when you really start, like living from that belief, your focus resides on that belief. Every time your print brain goes, but, but, but, but what if another plane crashes? Help. You know, you're in close proximity, you reshift, you're aware of it. You know what's causing it. Noted. Right. Thank you for trying to keep me safe. I'm not actually in any danger in this moment. Reshift back to, I'm going to take this day by day, which creates that grounded feeling. Now you can start compounding that. You see what causes worry and what causes the feeling of being grounded. And now you compound that and you go, okay, well, if that works, how do I level up from there? I'm taking this day by day, which makes me feel grounded. What's the next best spot that I can start to practice and create the evidence, prove to myself who's actually in control of my day, of my week, of my life, who's actually in control of the results that I start to experience? This is how you compound it. That's what we were talking about with Brent. It's like you can't have that expectation that you go from A to Z. And it's really not about the actions, it's about how you're thinking about it. And so we start to up level the way we're thinking, which starts to up level the way we're feeling. And we don't have to pretend that, you know we're losing if we're not feeling giddy. It's like, let's just go for neutral, let's just go for understanding, or let's go for curious. Like, that was the first emotion that popped into my mind. As Linda was talking, curious, what might I be able to contribute to my counterparts, to my clients? How might I be able to help them process? Right? Like, I asked myself, like, how do I 10x a situation that is even maybe at the neutral place? And I get really creative and really curious. Like, curiosity trips the trigger of creativity for me. Worry shuts down all creativity. There are no other ideas other than I'm about to die that comes from worry. But the minute I can get curious, I start getting a lot more creative. I can come up with new ways that I might want to feel. Curious is a good one. It's a great place to start.
No, that's a good one. I definitely used that skill over the weekend. I decided that, okay, instead of being, like, afraid, I'm gonna dig in and I'm gonna listen to a couple of different podcasts that are complete opposite of what I normally would and just hear the perspectives and of why this is all good. Because I'm hearing a lot of why this is challenging for people, what's good about it. So I don't have to believe it, but I can hear it and under and. And maybe.
Understand, right?
Yeah, just get kind of understand what. What is. What's. What is this really, like, gathering data.
You guys, is a very powerful action, but how are you gathering data? Are you gathering it from a place of openness, or are you gathering data from a place of, you know, I don't really want to hear this. Like, Linda is showing us how she was open to hearing other perspectives, therefore, she can gather data, which is super, super powerful. Okay? Linda is just for everybody's. Like, FYI, Linda's a coach at Self made you. So if you're feeling like, wow, how in the world did she go from this place of anxious to curious? Like, she works on this every single day. But that doesn't mean that she's exempt from circumstances. She's not exempt from the sabotaging feelings. She's not exempt from the results that are created by sabotaging behaviors. We all experience that. The difference is when we decide, yeah, I am not going to be at the expense. I'm not going to live at the expense of circumstances ever again. I'm going to stay aware of what my thoughts are about those circumstances. So I feel what it is that I want to feel, period. Now. Takes a ton of energy. It takes a ton of mental and emotional capacity, and that's something that grows. It's just like a muscle that if you were going to a gym and you were lifting Weights. It's a muscle that gets strengthened through the rest of doing this work. Thank you Linda for sharing that. Now the other component that I just want to mention that's really helpful piece to this weekly and daily exercise is right here, this bottom piece. These s self sabotaging feelings. Did I notice any of these today or I usually do it in retrospect. When I sit down tomorrow to fill out my daily plan, I'll think about yesterday and I'll ask myself, did I feel overwhelmed? Did I feel anxious? Did I feel vulnerable? It heightens my awareness and it always leads to what was I thinking? So that I get myself. It's just another opportunity to get myself in the gym to strengthen that awareness muscle. What was actually causing it? I. My brain wants me to think that it's what my mom said to me that made me angry, when in reality it's because I was thinking she doesn't care. That made me angry because my mom's behavior is a circumstance that many people are going to have different thoughts about that will have different feelings resulting from those thoughts. You have the choice, and I'm not saying it excuses bad behavior. Let them have bad behavior. We can't control that. But if you let their bad behavior have effects on your day, when you know better, I gotta ask you why? Why are you allowing that to happen? I want you to realize it doesn't have to be that way. Other people's bad behavior does not have to send you down a deep dark hole. Let them have the bad behavior. We can't control it. And you can even do better by yourself, by asking yourself, okay, how do I want to feel? Maybe it's like I want to feel disappointed because they don't have the capacity to know better. Notice how that plot feels versus they shouldn't be doing that. That's not fair. Notice how that feels. That probably strikes anger or resentment. But when you think about, maybe they don't have the capacity to know any better. Maybe they don't know how bad they're hurting people. Notice how that feels. It's different. It still might not feel good, but it's a different feeling that will lead to different behaviors. Empathy, compassion leads to you showing up differently than if you're angry. Period. It does. And just like get real quiet and get real honest with yourself and you'll see that that's what this work is all about. Okay? It's breaking it down by the week, by the day, by the hour, and keeping our finger on the pulse of what we decided early on. That matters to us. We want to continue to evolve. We want to achieve our goals. This is how you do it. You don't white knuckle your way through it. You allow all the feelings to be there, but you question them so that you don't react from that, so that you instead are responding. And again, it takes a lot of emotional and mental strength and it takes the reps showing up just like you did today. So I'm very proud of all of you for showing up. I encourage you to continue to do this. Both communities are growing and we're adding more programming to help you keep your finger on the pulse of what it is that you want from your life. We are the resource that is a thousand percent committed to your success. So you have any questions about this, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to answer any of your questions. Coaches, we're supposed to have a call at noon and I do have to go get a root canal now at 11:30, so I'm going to have to cancel our coaching call. My apologies. I'll also send out a text. Anybody have any questions? Okay, great. Again, reach out if you do have any questions to Gracie or I and we will hopefully see you next week. Take care. Thank you.
It.
