How Sibeal 3x Her Income And Makes $15k p/m With High Ticket Sales

YouTube in-person case study between Shelley Young (host/mentor) and Sibeal (student/closer). Sibeal describes moving from varied jobs (retail, food, nannying) into online high-ticket sales, joining Shelley after initial DMs and a sales call. Key explicit facts: she began working with Shelley on 7 Feb (year not specified), and recorded her highest month of commissions at 15.8K. She relocated/travels (mentions Dubai and living in Budapest) and credits mentorship, call reviews, and consistent practice for rapid income growth. Welcome back to my channel. Today is a very, very exciting day. This is my first ever in person case study with Shibelle. I've been working with Shibelle for about four months, so she started working with me on the 7th of Feb. When we had our original call. Shibelle gave me the I'm going to go and speak to other coaches objection. And I'm pretty sure I remember saying, not a problem, I know you're going to be back. And lo and behold, she was back.
We're here.
Shibelle is actually a very talented closer and she was in the sales space when she met me. And I distinctly remember from our sales call that she came to me because she was lacking confidence with her sales process and she wasn't on the right vehicle to actually help her make the money she wanted to make. So I know her story will massively resonate with the girls who are already in sales, who are looking to build more confidence, who are looking to build more income, and then also girls who are new to sales and are new to closing, who just want some inspiration to see really what is possible when you work very, very hard and you take a bet on yourself. So, yeah, super excited to dive in. And I'd love to start with if you could just take us back really to the very beginning. Like, what were you doing before sales and what led you to get started in sales?
Perfect. So before sales, I think I can honestly say I worked, like every single job. I worked retail, I worked like food industry. I did everything. And right before I started sales, I was actually a nanny, which is something we both have in common, but I was nannying and I just was really unhappy with how the future of my life was going. It wasn't what I wanted and it wasn't the earnings that I wanted to have. So basically I got into sales and I was in positions basically that weren't allowing me to earn high enough. That was my problem. And I wasn't skilled enough then to move up to that next kind of like offer pay bracket. And that was where I was stuck. So I was always, like, looking for the new, like, thing to do or the training. And I think that's where my objection came in with you, was I was like, I'm still looking, constantly looking. But that was kind of like a bit of a brief, I guess, of before I met Shelley. Had done other trainings and don't get me wrong, like, really great. But I needed something that was very female based and I needed someone that would really push me almost because I was at that point where I just wasn't getting pushed enough, but I wasn't, I suppose, confident enough either to be pushed and to, like, go into another role, if that makes sense. Yeah. So that was a bit about me. Nice.
Yeah, I love that. And how did you discover sales? What made you get into it?
So really funny, but my brother actually was the one who, like, introduced me to it. Like, he wasn't in sales at the time. He actually is now, but he was like, Shabale. If you're wanting to get out of the nannying, this seems like the new thing that people are doing that's working very, very well for people. So basically, he introduced me to it while I was in my nanny job and then I made the transition. So that's how I found it. And I was obviously kind of skeptical at the start, too. Like, that was one of my things was, oh, my God, it's online. It's completely different because I was always taught, you know, go the traditional route. A physical job is the ones that, like, actually put food on your table. So it was completely different for me. Like, I never worked online. So, yeah, I think I resonate with a lot of people when they're first starting, because I never had done anything online. I didn't know how to work zoom when I first started, like, ever.
And now. And I completely forgot to say at the beginning, but now we're here today because you had your highest ever month.
Yeah.
Which was. Do you want to tell everyone what it was?
So it was 15.8 K. Commissions. Commissions.
And we were just discussing before we started filming and what was. What were you earning before? Like, in the past, before you started working with me?
So it was so varied. But I never hit, like a.
Like.
Like five figures ever. It was always like a four to, like, six K. Six K would be like, oh, you know, I hit six K this month. Wow. You know, so I never got to, like, five figures just on commissions. Was nothing like that.
Yeah.
And now I'm here. I am in Dubai.
Yeah, exactly. And that's something else I miss as well. We're both here in Dubai. Shibel is here possibly looking at options to move here, which is so exciting. And just the difference of how you've transformed your income and then life off the back of that, I think is pretty incredible, which obviously we'll get on to shortly. But I know, going back, we were actually speaking for a while before you actually started working with me. Actually before I even had my own coaching program. Like, when I was closing, we started speaking A little bit back and forth on Instagram. So I'd love to know, how did you come across me and what made you reach out to me for support?
Yeah. So I'll be totally frank. I was like, I was in the industry, but I was so green. Right. I'll say that really truthfully. And I was very, like, lacking confidence. I didn't know about other, like, female closers, really, unless it was, like, in a company that I worked for. So I didn't really have any people, like, in the industry as such, that I could, like, speak to almost at my age, my level kind of thing. So then I saw Shelley. I just actually saw you, like, it was like, in one of my suggested, and I saw that you're putting up, like, bits of content. And we were kind. You were ahead of me, obviously. Obviously. But it was just, you seemed very approachable and I was like, look, I'm just gonna reach out. And I didn't know that was even like, a thing. I thought it was like, you know, we were kind of the only two kind of people closing space as women. But it was very much. I would actually say it was a place from vulnerability because I just didn't, like, know anyone of my age kind of in closing. And it was just, you seemed very approachable. So that's why I did reach out. It wasn't obviously, looking for training at the time, because you weren't training and you were obviously doing very well. So I thought, yeah, I'd reach out. And, yeah, that's why I felt. I felt comfortable doing. That's the word.
Nice. Yeah, 100%. And I know we spoke a bit back and forth and we kind of watched each other's journeys and. And I guess that was that. But what made you reach back out, do you think, to then get my support? Because that's when I started posting a bit more about training other girls, etc. And I remember you sent me an Instagram DM. What motivated that, do you think?
Yeah, so it was basically the fact that I was like, I just need to make that change now. And I'm going to actually take it very, very seriously. I. I had done trainings in the past, you know, that got me to, you know, maybe the 4k, the 6k, which was great, but I really did want to, like, level up. I saw the results you were getting. I suppose it was like, you know, it just made a lot of sense and you were just very approachable, very normal on Instagram. And I think if you're going to be that way in, like on Instagram, you're going to be like that in person and as a trainer. And it was just kind of human. It was like, that's what I wanted. I wanted someone that I could just reach out to and know that they would be supportive. And that's why I booked the call. I thought it was just a very logical thing to do and someone who was young in sales, there's obviously loads of young people. I've had young people as trainers. But you just got us, you knew, I think we had the same kind of goals almost from what your Instagram was too. So that's why I felt I wanted to do that.
Nice. Absolutely. And how did you feel coming into the program? Because you'd had a few trainers in the past, you mentioned to come into this community. Did you. Were you excited? Apprehensive. Like, how did you feel? Because I was pretty new trainer. You were betting on, you know, a little bit of results, but not much compared to like established people, let's say.
Yeah. So what I say, like, I wouldn't even say I was nervous. I wouldn't say I was apprehensive. Right. I think at the beginning, during like my call, like with shelley, I will 100% say that I had like fear. I was, I was that prospect. Right. That was just so fearful. And that's why I was like, look, I'm going to speak to other people because I, I was just really fearful. But once then like I did sign up, I was really excited because I just felt right. But there was 100% fear when I, when I first like got on the call with you especially, you know, just kind of talking over dm like it was nerve wracking.
Yeah.
But I'm so, so glad, like I did it. Honestly, I'm here now, like, so. Yeah, but yeah, definitely I was fearful. But it really did work out like, you know, and it's since working love of the girls, so all the girls, really.
And I think that's super important to know because I speak to so many girls who like jump on calls with me and then join my program and most people are very nervous and that is so normal. And I pretty much say to everyone it is okay to feel that way. Like, obviously for Chevelle, she was already in the industry and even she felt nervous. So if you're brand new and you're a beginner and you're feeling apprehensive on being going on the journey, it is normal. But it's kind of like, you know what happens if you stay the same, you don't know what happens if you push yourself. And I'd love to know your perspective on that. Now, obviously, you being the prospect and now you closing the prospect of dealing with that fear, but then doing it anyway, like, what Would you have any advice for that and how to handle that?
Yeah, I definitely think it's from internally that you give off, like, fear to prospects, you know, so if you are a fearful buyer. It was something that I had to deal with for so many of my sales calls. I think it even came up on one of the trainings recently. If you don't deal with that internally, you are just giving that off, that energy to your prospect. I'll still say that maybe I am slightly a fearful buyer, but it has completely, like lowered. And the only reason I know it has and like that I've got better is because when you invest in yourself, you can see the fruits of your labor, you know, your results, and you do become way happier actually spending money, investing into yourself. I was one who would never do that before, like, I started like this Internet journey, Internet sales, and since that, like, it's just completely changed my life. So I feel so good helping others change theirs. And that would be my perspective. Like, when you are in sales, when you are helping someone, it's such a rewarding career. But you have to be internally, you know, really happy where you're at and happy to invest in yourself too.
Yeah.
And that would be like my 2.
Cents on it, 100%. I always feel that way. And obviously it can sound biased coming from me now I have a program. But even before, I think for you to be congruent, if you want to be a closer, you have to be on the other side and know what it feels like to take that step. Because, yes, you're closing deals, but there's a human behind the screen. And I think it's easy to forget that, like, you're dealing with people all day, every day. So you have to know what it's like to guide someone through fear. So I think it's super, super relevant and important to reflect on if you are thinking about embarking on this journey, whether you invest in yourself or kind of go the YouTube university route, because there's a huge difference. I think both of us agree on that. And I guess that kind of lines up really well to kind of the offer you are now. So I looked back, actually, before we started this call, and it was about a month from Chevelle starting my program to you landing the current Offer. I actually helped Chevelle land that offer. Obviously, she had to do all the hard work. She's the one who's worked her way up to achieve 15,8k. But I was able to give her that leg up into an offer, which I try my best to do with as many girls in my program as I can. Like, obviously, I want my students to win. So I'd love to know, how did you feel when we had that conversation, when I approached you with an opportunity and then. Yeah. How are you feeling now? Like, learning a whole new offer, clientele, skill set. How has that been for you?
So a mix, right? I think obviously nervous, like, starting something new, maybe to give, like, people some background. Like, I was in kind of. I was selling marketing at one stage and then I was selling dating, coaching for men. So I was in two completely different spaces to, like, the tech aspect of things. And it was so refreshing, nervous, exciting. Right. That's the only way I can describe it. Right. But when I had the call with you and you, like, kind of almost pitched it to me, how the tables have turned. It was. It was refreshing, it was exciting, you know, it was something new. So there was learning involved and it was a bit of a different kind of, I suppose, set up to what I was traditionally used to. So there was a bit of hard work involved at the beginning in terms of, like, how it's going now. It's going really great. I've definitely fit into the team that they're really, really lovely. And, yeah, it's going up and up and up basically every month. So. Yeah.
And what's your perspective? Because you are now the only female on that team.
Yeah.
How does that. What's that like?
So it is obviously, like, different, Right. You know, being the only female, however, it's. It's really advantageous, Right. I'll say. Because I think as women, right, firstly, women, you're so trustworthy on sales calls, on everything. Right. You do naturally. It's just the way it is. It's how we're actually programmed, like, scientifically, we're very trustworthy as people, as women. But in terms of the team, I can honestly say the teams are so lovely. And I'm not just saying maybe because I'm a woman or anything, but I can honestly go to the guys about anything and they're so, so kind. I think if you were probably to tell me, Shelly, I'd be like, the only female closer on the team, I would have been like, oh, my God, no, I can't do it. Yeah. But because I was just like there and then obviously like Shelly, like, basically I, like, I'm the only closer. If I was basically pitched that at the beginning, I would have just shied away. Right. I'm actually quite shy in person. I actually am. I might not come across it this way, but I am. And I would have just been like, no, I can't. But yeah, it's been so lovely. But I. I do use it to my advantage, definitely. Because there's a lot more male closers in the world than female. And yeah, you can definitely use the chair advantage.
Yeah, 100%. And I know when we met and then we basically created a plan. We decided where you wanted to be.
Yes.
And we. Every student that I work with gets a one on one call with me after they've joined the program as well to actually create a roadmap. We created that and we got to work. And there was a few different areas that I remember saying. One particular was you didn't do any core reviews. And I was like, that's about to change. Because Chebelle, even though she's a very talented closer, you were super nervous, weren't you? Even watching your processes back to learn and improve. And that's something that we massively had to work on on that offer because I gave you a lot of training and support to ramp you up. So what was that life like? Being pushed out your comfort zone? You're going into a team of only men. You're doing things you've never done before, selling offers you've never done. Like, how was that for you?
So call reviews are very uncomfortable for me. I really don't like watching myself on camera. Like, this is going to be too. But that was one of the core things that I really remember on our first one on one was like, shabale, we have to do this to improve. And it's either a case of stay the same, right, Feel the fear and stay the same, or you just do your call reviews and you do improve. And look, the proof is in the pudding. Like, I've started to do it, it has improved. What was the question? Sorry.
So how did it feel pushing yourself out your comfort zone in so many ways because you learned so much. You've not only just done one challenge, you've done so many challenges selling a new offer.
Yeah, it was so scary. It was so nerve wracking. Right? As in, I'm not going to turn around and say, oh, it's so easy. Like, because it wasn't. It was something that was completely out of my comfort zone. But I would not have done that by myself. And I'm telling you that now. Everyone watching this for a fact. I would not have just watched my call reviews. I wouldn't have got feedback. And now I'm not really afraid to ask questions. Before, like, on other sales trainings, I would never ever ask. That was one thing. I'd always sit back on mute. If I could put my camera off, I could. But even now, like, on, I suppose it's translated into work also, because even on, like our team trainings, I'll ask questions, you know, in front of a group of guys, I will ask. And I remember Shelly saying that before she used to be the first to ask questions. She used to be the first to be like, I'll review a call. I haven't got that far yet. Right in front of everyone else. But I definitely am the one to be like, I had this kind of prospect. How do I approach it? So I'm way more confident now compared to what I was.
Yeah, 100%. And what does it take? What does it take to be a closer making what, practically 16k a month? Like, what's a day in the life for you?
What's a day in the life? Oh, my God. I think it takes a clear vision and a clear path on what you want. You can't get to that unless your goals are clear. Right. You can't just go in and just wing it and earn that. Okay. That would be my first thing in terms of my days. They are varied. Okay. Because your day is different every day. Different prospects, different times that people shop to calls and things. But I guess, what do you mean by the question we close here? What do you mean?
Like, let's say someone's watching and they're brand new to sales and they see on Instagram that you can work two hours per day and close from the beach, or you can just pick up your call a phone in a cafe in France and start closing a deal. Like, what does it actually take to be making, like, 16k a month?
Okay, so it's definitely not a case. You just take a call from a beach or, you know, your phone in a cafe. Like, this is like my career. It's my job. And I do take it seriously in that sense. So, like, I have a solid setup. You can travel. Right? Like, I'm in Dubai right now and I've been just working, you know, like normal. So you definitely can travel. But it's a case too, of like, you want to have that stability. You want to have your desk set up. You want it to be comfortable. Look, some days I do work two hours, but some days I can work, you know, eight hours. It just depends on your call, volume for the day or, you know, how things are going. Holidays in the U.S. maybe that changes a lot too. So it's varied, but I wouldn't promise the dream of, oh, you know, you're on the beach, sipping a mojito drink, drinking what my doing calls like. That's not what it's like. It's a career path that you can really grow in but you do take seriously also. Yeah, that would be. I agree.
Because sometimes I, I try, I say how hard this industry is and I'm also mindful not to say that it's too hard where you're going to be working 16 hour days like you're in a sweatshop. There are so many pros to this industry and there's a lot of advantage being in it, but it's also difficult at the same time.
Yeah.
And I think it's just finding that right balance. And I think a thing I wanted to bring up was actually skill and the vehicle. Like what's your perspective on that? Both having an increase in your skill set and being in the right vehicle? Because you've had a few different offers now. So you've seen the difference maybe of how many hours you've worked in the past compared to now.
Yeah.
What would be your perspective on increasing both and which one's more important to you?
I think at the beginning, take anything you can. Right. As in like obviously something that's solid. Right. Not just kind of Mickey Mouse esque, but like take something that's solid and just focus on improving your skill. That's like my best advice because you're going to speak to a lot of people, a lot of different types of people and you can really start to understand what you're like on sales calls, but also what type of people will be coming to you. I think then when you do kind of get comfortable, you know, a couple of months in, you can be a bit more choosy, you know, because offers will be presented to you. You'll have a lot more opportunity to apply for different offers, potentially starting in setting and then going to closing. It just depends obviously on where you're at in your journey. But yeah, I would definitely focus like getting something at the beginning and start just reviewing your calls. If I was to go back, that's exactly what I do. I get on an offer and I would just focus on Then my skill, because you can go into different companies and just smash it then, you know, so that would be my opinion on that. And then when you do get to a point, like where I am, where you can be choosing on where you work, like, your skill will always be adapting, you know, and you'll always be changing, you know, I changed my skill completely with this offer because it is just a different type of sale. And yeah, that, that takes, I think, time too, because I have to put in that work of the lower offers, the harder offers, worse time zone offers to get to where I am.
Yeah, yeah, 100%.
That makes sense.
And that reminds me of a group call you attended one of the trainings I ran in my community the other day and there was a bunch of girls who are very, very new. Literally started like last week, the week before to the program. And I remember you coming on and it was so inspiring because obviously they're kind of in the rut at the moment. They're like, when am I going to find this offer? Like, there's such a long road ahead, xyz. And then you came on and gave that inspiration. And I think it is super important to remember that you can literally have everything you want in this industry. And I'm sure you're seeing that now. It just takes time. You can't rush the process. Would you agree?
100 million percent? Yeah, 100. I remember being like, you know, when I first started, I remember someone saying they made, I think it was like nine grand or 15 grand on a call. Like, it was like a mentor before. And I remember I actually couldn't speak. Like, I was so shocked. I was like, oh, my God, this money, you can't make that. You can't. And I remember being so scared even hearing of that number when I first started. But when I jumped on that call the other day, firstly, it made me realize how far I've come in such a short period of time. Like, it's been a year. Like when I think it was around a year now that I've like first started to being where I am. And I actually, not that I felt bad for anyone or anything, but I just remember that slog at the start and like, God, when will it happen? When will I start making money? But it does come and it's just a time thing. And I've spoken to closers before too, and it's the same nearly for everyone. You know, you have to put in those hours at the beginning and you will reap the rewards 100%.
And it's easy to forget where you've come from, isn't it?
So easy.
And I, I get reminded I'm very lucky because I can live through my clients now, like that process. Like I remember when even you started this new offer. I could live that feeling. I'm like, it is gonna be okay. Like it's gonna be tough, but it's gonna be okay. But it's like it's so easy to forget. But like Chevelle said at the beginning, it's so easy to just want to skip the process. But in my opinion, I don't dunno about you, that process is like the best. It's so character building.
Yeah. If you can, if you can like do the process right, not quit, like just do the process. Truly, like it's tricky. It's tricky at the start. Right? It is. But when you can do that and you can survive it almost, you'll be so fine, honestly. Because that's the hard part. Like now it's the easy part for me.
Yeah. You know, and I guess I'd love to know your opinion on being a woman in sales. So we've talked about you obviously being on a team of all guys.
Yeah.
But what's your perspective of women watching this? Whether they should get in or not? Because it's very male dominated.
So my opinion is 100%. If you're a woman and you're interested in doing sales, do it right. I think I bias because I am a woman and I am in sales. But I think naturally you actually just land positions easier. Right. You're more trustworthy as a woman. And it's such a male dominated industry that it's actually so refreshing for people to have women on teams. So they want you more than you want them kind of a thing in all aspects of life. No, but it's definitely, it's such a great opportunity. Like it's just kicking off now for women. So like it's gonna be great, you know, because it's already kicked off for men, if that makes sense. So if you have any interest in doing it, do it. If you want to earn a higher income, you want to work remote, it's, it's honestly ideal. Like it's changed my lifestyle. Yeah.
100%. And I guess I'd like to bring it back to us, our partnership then working together. Like, honestly, I know I'm here in the room, but what is your opinion of working with me and what have been your biggest learning since coming into, you know, the female sales accelerator? Working one on one like, what has that been like for.
I suppose the first word that comes up for me is really calm. Like, I think I was always quite afraid of mentors, that they judge me or be like, you know, oh my God, you really messed this up, or you'll point the finger. Honestly speaking, it's a very, it was a very calming experience compared to maybe how I felt on other trainings. Right. Like, I still loved all my other trainings, but it was a very relaxing, nice transition. I never felt judged. We'd have a laugh, you know, like we're all human. But I felt very supported because I knew I could just come to you and ask you a question. And you've done the calls, you know, what type of prospect was probably in front of me. So I really, I really enjoy it still, like, you know, to this day. And I honestly, I do really believe, like, it did change everything for me because I'm here now. If I'd stayed the way I was, didn't do like a partnership with you, like work with you, I wouldn't be here. Like, I wouldn't be in Dubai, you know. So honestly, it has. Look, I'll go as far as it was life changing, you know, for me. And yeah, yeah, I like that. No, I don't want to rank either.
I love that. And how about the program structure? So you're coming in, you're getting support, you have the community, the modules, the calls. Like, how has that been been for you? Did you find it useful or is there a certain part of the program you felt really benefited you?
Yeah, so I definitely think like coming in, it gives you everything you need, right, to start if it's in setting. Right. Because a lot of people start in setting, a lot of people start closing. It just depends. It does cater to every person starting. Even for me, someone who is in sales, Like, I got an awful lot out of it, you know, because there was stuff that I didn't know. I didn't have a lot of. Like, I had groundwork done, but I needed to go back and do all that again, you know, to really make sure my process was clear. So in terms of structure, it gives you everything you do need. But then obviously the one like the one to one at the beginning is huge because you can really kind of set that plan of what you need to work on. And then the group calls, like you can ask anything. There's role plays. If you do want to do role plays. It's just a cocktail for like the best setup because that's what exactly what You. There you go. It's exactly what you need. Because you don't look, you don't need all these flamboyant bells and whistles and all this. Like, you just actually need to put in the work, show up and do. Do the modules, and you will get there. Everything you need, 100%.
I think showing up is the biggest one. Like, at the beginning, obviously, now you're super busy on your offer, but when. At the beginning, when you needed it and when you still need me, you show up. And when Chappelle started, she showed up every single week. She knew I was a message away. She utilized that. And I say that to all the girls coming into my program. Like, I can't help you if you don't show up. The key to consistency and the key. Well, the key to success is consistency and showing up. And that's something Chebelle has always done. Showed up, asked questions, pushed herself out of her comfort zone, and that. They're the type of women I love working with, like, with that mindset, which I think the community does represent. Just, like, it's a safe space. I always say, you can never mess up. It's never embarrassing. It's a safe space for women to thrive and to grow. So I'm super proud that you feel that way. And I think that's super important to have that community person. I don't know how you feel about it, but coming into this and having.
That support system, yeah, I definitely think showing up is a huge thing. Right. Like, at the end of the day, right, you can wing life. You really can. Or you can be really calculated on how you actually do your life right now for your future, you know, for me, like, I want to have, you know, a more relaxed life in the future. So I'm putting in that heavy work now, and it's about being calculated. And if that means showing up in these years, like, to get there, do it. You know, it might be a bit trickier. You know, you might be tired to do a training. Do the training at that moment. You know, don't say you'll wait till tomorrow, because tomorrow it just. It won't happen. So be very calculated, show up and truly, like, you will get there. Because if you can work for me, someone, you know, who did every industry, and I mean everything, right, it will work for you too. Yeah.
100. And how has life changed?
Oh, how's life changed? Oh, my God. How has life changed? It's just completely different. I might just fix my mic. Sorry. Is that okay? Just while we're here. Sorry. Because. So how has life changed for me? Everything is different. Honestly, everything is different. I can't even, like, say that everything, anything is the same because it's not. I live in a different country now, so I actually live in Budapest, so I'm looking at moving out here. What else? My quality of life is different. I have different choices now for restaurants or anything. I just choose differently. So life is completely just done like a 180. I don't even know how to describe it, like.
And have you reflected on it? Like, how do you feel? Are you proud of yourself?
I haven't fully reflected on it, like, and that's.
It's neither. To this day, I haven't. I really try. It's very, very easy to not. But if you reflect on it, like, can you imagine two years ago, Chebelle, how would she have felt seeing this?
Yeah. I even said it to, like, I actually, this is really interesting. I said it to my boyfriend this morning. I was getting ready, like, and I was like, you know, I. A year ago, I could not have imagined I would be in Dubai, like, getting ready to do something like this, you know, and if you had told me, I probably would have believed it, you know, so. So, like, to reflect on it, like, I am really proud of myself. You know, there's people who started this journey like me and maybe have stopped halfway through and now are messaging me saying, I want to get back. I want to, you know. Yeah. Like, how are you getting on? And I'm so glad that I just kept going.
Yeah.
And started. I think starting is the hardest thing and landing that offer and just putting in the heavy slog. But I'm really proud of myself because, like, I would just being nanny right now, and that's fine for some people, but it just wasn't for me.
Yeah. 100%. What do your family think about where you are?
God. What do my family think? My mom's very proud. My God, my voice now. My mom is very, very proud. Do they understand what I do? Probably not, to be honest. My brother does, but my other brother, my mom don't. And I think it's brought a bit of a sense of relaxation to the house, if I'm honest. Because if something was to happen or they needed something, like, I am in a position now where I can do that.
Yeah.
You know, that was one of actually, my main goals within doing closing was actually to help my family. Not that they need help or anything, but it was just that I wanted to be a constant, a really, like, responsible Person that had everything sorted. So if anything did happen that I could be there. So that was one of my main goals. And I think, like I'm, I'm there now. I'm getting there. Yeah.
100. I love that. And I think that's a huge one, isn't it? Because, yes, you can have the flashy lifestyle and the designer things and we both love those things. But at the end of the day, helping family and being in a position where you feel stable, like, you know, like I think you said the other day you went to an Airbnb what, Like it was just a bit of a shambles, but you can go to a hotel, like to be able to fund stability and just know if there's a problem, nine times out of ten you can fix it. And I think that's. No one speaks about it. It's kind of underrated. But that's what this industry brings for me as well. And as long as well as confidence, I don't know about you, I can imagine the same. Like me two years ago would not have been able to do something like this. Not been able to articulate myself, have confidence, confidence, which I think is pretty cool.
Yeah, definitely confidence, more relaxed in life. Listen, you can buy the nice stuff, right? Like I treated myself last week. Like you can buy nice things, don't get me wrong. But it is that sense of comfort that if something were to happen, like the Airbnb thing last week, I came to Dubai, it wasn't what it was supposed to be. Straight away, I was like, right, where's a nice hotel that I actually was going to check into? This was at like 1am you know, was before, I would have been like, oh God, what am I going to do? Do you know, I have to fix this here now. I couldn't done that before. So it does give a really good sense of comfort if anything were to happen. And that's like you said, the underrated thing. That's the comfort. That's the life that I wanted and that's the life that I have now.
100%.
Yeah.
And I'd love for you to tell us your goals. Like, I guess, what's the goal? Where do you want to be from here?
God. Long term goal. Like, I really just want a very kind of passive income. Like, and that's what I'm working towards is being able to fund that for the future. As of right now, look, I know we're in sales and you know, it's, you know, money dominated and that's what we're here for too. But, like, I'd like to hit the 20, 25k months and then I'd be really happy. You know, I think it's. It's nice to put a cap on it because then you'll never obviously be happy too, if you're like, oh, no, I want to get to the next one. If I got to there, I'd just be really content, really happy, and then I would touch on goals again. But as of right now, it's like the 20 to 25k I'm aiming for and then. Yeah, yeah, and have fun.
Yeah, have fun 100%. And I think the. The best part for you is, you know you're going to get there.
Yeah.
Because there are. Well, not only because you believe in yourself, but there are closers on the team doing that. There are closers on the team who are doing more than that. So I think being in the right vehicle, once you've been able to grow your skill set and being in demand, like Shibelle is in demand, Shibelle could walk on any offer now. She could put her post out into the network that she's built and be on any offer. And that is the power of being a woman in sales, investing in your skill set and being good at sales and being in the right vehicle. So I'm super excited for you to hit those 20, 25k months and more. Like, I know you're so capable of doing that.
Yeah.
Exciting.
It is like what you're saying there, when there's a path that's already been kind of paved, like there is closers doing that out there, you just, firstly, it makes it very realistic because, you know, then you can get it, you know. You know, there's a path there that you can actually just follow what the top closer is doing and do it. You know, I think sometimes when you hear people making, you know, 30, 40k a month and, you know, the top closer on the offer might be making, you know, six or four, like I was doing. It's very hard to realize and imagine how that will be when there's people who you speak to every single morning, every day on a team meeting. It makes it so believable and achievable. That's the way I could describe it.
Yeah.
Yeah. You know, so, yeah, like, I definitely will get there, you know, because the path's already been paved. It's exciting. Yeah. I love it.
And what would you tell a beginner, maybe even your younger self, someone who does know whether they should do get into sales or not? Like, what advice would you give knowing what you know?
So if you're on the fence about getting into sales, not getting into sales, like, look at what your goals are. Do you want a higher income and do you want to work remote? They're the two main things with sales. Okay. If you both. If you want both of those, I would personally recommend it. Right. I didn't have an interest in actually sales or selling. Right. I did retail. Like, you know, it wasn't like, you know, proper sales. Like, you know, I sell shoes. But I definitely would recommend it if you are wanting that life, because truly you do get the opportunity to travel more. Right. Like I am right now. In terms of advice, if you are starting, my best advice would be very. Be very critical about your calls. You know, actually review them. Like, I didn't do that. And I can 100% with 100% say with certainty, if I had, I would be in a very different position to where I am now. I'd be way faster, way higher. You know, I'd be telling you different results right now. And that's the honest truth. Do I regret it? Look, I don't regret anything. But if I could go back, that's what I would do. I would get a trainer that aligns with you. So for me, like, it was Shelly, because we were similar age, similar goals, I suppose, like, as in, you know, I. I think that's fair to say. And I would definitely find someone you feel very comfortable with. That's huge for me. And that's what I found with Shelley, too.
I love that. And I guess to wrap things up, you know, for the women listening and for the girls listening, if they're on the fence, they've been watching some of my YouTube videos. You know, they've been looking at this journey for a while and they just don't know whether they should even get into the space or they're already a closer and they think, well, I don't need any more training. But they're not where their income goals are. What would your advice be to them?
Okay, so someone who's been, like, watching things but not sure if they should kind of take that step. Yeah, it's going to be scary taking a step, investing in yourself. But if there's anyone you should bet on, it's always yourself, right? Be calculated in what you want out of life. Right. And that takes investment. It takes the ability just to take that step. If you want to be salesy, like, draw a line in the sand and just go for it. Because nothing is going to change until you change. Right. Nothing was going to change for me unless I actually, like, did this. And that's so just like, honest to God, truth, truly, like, if you are wanting to go into sales, training is the way forward. Right. You can look at free content and that's amazing to really kind of understand it, but you'll never make six figures, you know, off just content online. You really need to be minded, I suppose, you know, and looked at and not criticized, but shown this is actually correct, this is incorrect. And have the best guidance. Yeah, that would be my recommendation.
Thank you. Well, it's been an absolute pleasure speaking with you and obviously today was the first time we met in person, so, yeah, I hope this. Well, I know this video would have been very, very valuable. There's a lot of takeaways here for Chappelle to have done what she's done. She's absolute one of the top 1% female sales reps in this industry, whether you know it or not. You are. And yeah, I'm just so glad we were able to sit down and have this conversation and just to kind of finalize things off, guys, if you. Like we said, if you are someone who have been watching me for a while and you're thinking, should I? Shouldn't I? There's going to be a link in the bio. Just book a call or have a chat. You're going to be speaking with me personally. We can see what your goals are, whether you're new to sales or whether you are looking to take your career to the next level like Chappelle was. And yeah, we'll see if the partnership makes sense. But as for now, lovely speaking with you and I'll catch you in the next one. Bye, guys.
