How To Find A Remote Sales Job In 2026, From Someone Who Places People

Shelley Young, a high-ticket sales recruiter, explains why top remote sales jobs paying $10K-$20K monthly aren't posted publicly. Companies hire through closed channels instead. Four methods work: recruiters who don't charge you, internal job boards in paid training communities, industry networking, and referrals from mentors.

You're looking for a remote sales role, but you can't find a good one anywhere. And there is a reason for that. And I'm going to be sharing that with you today in this video. And this is from someone who has trained hundreds of women now and helped them land the top high-ticket sales roles in the industry. I even did a challenge earlier this year for 100 roles in 100 days, and I helped 100 of my students land 100 roles in 100 days. So I think I know a thing or two. So let's get into it. I hear it all the time from beginners. You're assuming that they must be on these crazy job boards, on Facebook groups, et cetera, or the good offers just don't exist and there's only cold calling offers and people who advertise their income online must surely be lying because you can't find the role. But the quote I always go by is you can't have a $10K outcome with a $1K effort and a $1K strategy. Do you really think that a $10K paying job is going to be on a free Facebook group. Like, if you actually think logically, and I don't mean to out you or be rude or anything like that, but I actually want you to think logically. Like, do you actually believe that you could find a $10K a month paying job from a free Facebook group or a free job board? No, the answer is no. I'll tell you first. So if you're doing that and if you're wasting your time, then I might as well tell you so you can stop wasting your time and put your efforts into more productive pursuits. But there are 4 ways you can find a role because these roles are out there. There are hundreds of them. There are thousands of them even, and you can work for them and you can land these roles, but you're just looking in the wrong place. So first things first, why are these jobs not on job boards? I want you to think about it. These jobs are like top offers, right? Let's say the $10K a month offers, the $20K a month offers. If they put their jobs on job boards, public ones, Facebook groups, they're getting thousands and thousands of applicants because not only people who are deserving of earning $10K a month are gonna apply, people who are not deserving of $10K a month because they haven't done any training, they have no skillset, they've got no experience or nothing at all, they're gonna apply too because who doesn't wanna make $10K a month? So these great offers are gonna have to be sifting through thousands and thousands and thousands of applicants, and they don't wanna do that. They would rather look in their network with their sales trainers that they favorite, with their top performers who are their friends, et cetera. They would rather look in their close circles than go out to the masses and worldwide and have to waste so much time and risk so much time trying to find someone. So that is why, like when you are scouring on these public job boards, the majority of them are not great, and it's not a representation of the industry by any means. It's the best offers know that there is a way better strategy than to go out to the masses, essentially. So, the 4 ways in which I would recommend landing the best high-ticket sales roles go as following. Number 1, high-ticket sales recruiters. Now, it's knowing the right recruiters. There are some not so great ones out there, some that will even try and ask you to pay. Avoid, avoid, avoid. We're not looking to pay for an job. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. You are looking for reputable recruiters who have a really, really good background and a really good reputation in their industry. They will have some top offers come to them looking for good sales reps, and they will be able to connect the puzzle pieces with you. Recruiters have been great. Now, recruiters do typically require somewhat of a sales experience. I will disclaimer that. Now typically the industry doesn't require any experience, but because recruiters are putting so much risk on their side with how they get paid from the offer owner, they do typically require some kind of experience. Not always, but sometimes, just to know that they are bringing the right candidate forward essentially. It basically hedges their risk. So yeah, number one is recruiters. They're great if you can find the right ones, but never ever pay for a job. Number 2 is internal job boards from sales training communities. I'm not talking about the free kind. I'm talking about you invest in a mentorship, you invest in sales training, and if they're a good sales training, they should have internal job boards. I'm not talking about a list of influencers who you can cold outreach and DM. Absolutely not. I'm talking about actual jobs that you can be connected with, an ample of them. So I'll give you an example. In my community, we have up to 300 high-ticket sales roles coming in every single month, highly vetted, great opportunities because they know that they're coming into a community where these girls are highly trained. So business owners want to advertise there. So it's a win-win for everyone because my girls get jobs that they are aligned with and the business owners get high-paying reps. That is the type of job board that these business owners will put their name on and actually put their business on. It's the ones that they know that they're going to the right place. They're not outwardly going onto a Facebook group. They're going internal to high-ticket coaching communities. And that's super, super important. And that has done wonders for my girls in my community. Like they land some insane, insane offers. Like one of my girls made $20K in her first month as an appointment setter. Like I'm not selling a dream. It is true, Rebecca. We're going to be doing a case study soon. So yeah, if you can get into a high-ticket sales community that has a very, very good job board, perfect. Number 3, and I sort of mentioned it earlier, but it is network. Network is everything. Now, as a beginner, network may be one of the harder things for you to actually leverage because you don't have one. But when you get into an industry, when you invest in a mentorship, when you join a high-ticket sales community, you will start building out your network of people in the industry who are working in the industry, successful in the industry, have connections in the industry. And you can leverage that. So you know how I said at the start that these businesses tend to ask their inner circle, their existing sales team, or their connections? That is network. One of the best offers I've ever worked for where I was making up to $38K a month, all of their closers were hired via a network. So every time we were looking for new closers, we would ask the existing closers on the team, who do you know? And like, I kid you not, 100% of the time, all of their closers were hired from friends of friends of friends in the already existing closing team. That is the power of network in this industry. So it's not maybe going to be your first one that you're going to leverage, but network is a very long game. It's the path. So you will have the best offers lined up to you at any time once you get in and start building those connections. And then number 4 is referrals, similar to connections, but referrals can also be from a coach. If you're investing in sales training, you should have a coach who is open to give you a referral if one comes along. I refer girls in my community all the time. One of my girls who's just hit a record month of $10K month, she was a direct referral from me to a business owner in my network. Referrals are super important. Now, obviously I can't guarantee every single one of my girls are going to get a referral, and I never would promise that because it's not true. I can't guarantee everyone will, but I always try my best. Your mentor should know you on that level to be able to give you that direct referral. And that is one of the best ways of getting one of the best jobs in the industry possible, because you're literally getting it from a reputable source yourself, and you're directly getting your contact details passed over to one of the best offers in the space. So if you can get that opportunity, and typically you can get that opportunity by showing up to calls, asking questions, getting attention. If you can command that attention and show how eager to learn you are and grow, you will get referrals, and it's hands down one of the best ways to get a job. So to summarize, you have your internal job board, you have recruiters, you have network, and you have referrals. And remember, with these jobs, you don't need 10 years of high-ticket sales experience. You don't even need 1 month of high-ticket sales experience most of the time. You just need a good attitude and willingness to learn. You need to be able to position yourself in a way that is desirable for that candidate. So if you can only work 3 hours a day alongside your job, you wouldn't go into the interview and say, well, I only have 3 hours a day. You would say, I can bring to the table 20 hours per week and achieve XYZ. You wanna sell yourself. You wanna share your eagerness, your willingness, your drive, because that ultimately is how you're going to get hired, which is a whole video entirely, which I'll do another time. But yes, you can have all the jobs under the sun, but if you don't know how to get hired, then you're not gonna get very far. But yeah, that is the best ways to get an actual great high-paying job in the industry. Remember, if you want a $10K outcome, you've gotta have a $10K effort, and you've gotta have a $10K strategy. I've actually filmed an hour-plus long free course on my YouTube. I'll link it here right now, breaking down this A to Z in even more detail than I've just done now. Like, it's kind of criminal that I'm giving all that detail away for free. It'll be somewhere here and you can watch it and let me know what you think.
