Let's go.
Hey. Hey. Hey. Well, chances are, if you listen to me, you are somebody that is very ambitious or wants to be.
Somebody that maybe wants to change up what they're doing.
Or has a passion project or is a parent and realizes they want to show their kids maybe something different, but they don't know something different. I know if you listen to me, there's something that's not going in your life the way that you want it to. And today specifically, I was thinking back to how different my life looked a short eight years ago.
So one of the number one questions I'm asked about is leadership and business and the Enneagram. And eight years ago, I. Eight years ago today, in fact, I ventured into a accidental career. Little did I know a short six months earlier, when I was on an airplane hoping to make it back to Chicago in time to see my dad before he passed away, I did my Hail Mary pass to God, so, so to speak. And you know, I was working a corporate job that I was very good at but hated. I know many of you listening might be in that position too. I made decent money.
When I calculated the hours that it took to do that. And maybe not so much, but, you know, as a single parent, the sole provider.
It was a decent income. Very hard to walk away from. But I knew that I wanted something more. And on the heels of my dad suddenly passing away with a 12 day cancer diagnosis, it made me reevaluate some shit in my life. And because I had a corporate job, when he called me 12 days earlier, I couldn't necessarily up and go at the time. I had responsibilities. I worked on commission. And I know if you're listening to this right now, you might even be judging me a little bit. Well, how dare you not go like, and I get that like looking back I can see where the fear was for me. But that's also where the Hail Mary pass came to God on that airplane ride. And you know, I was mad not because my dad was dying, because that was inevitable, that was completely out of my hands at this point. It was just a matter of if I made it in time. But what I was mad about is that I was put in a situation or I put myself in a situation where I was reliant on something, somebody else. And I wanted to be in a position that if anything came up that I needed to handle, that I could just drop it and go. And the three years that I was in corporate America I was filled with bitterness and rage a lot of the time, you know, being newly divorced and being the sole provider of my family, my kiddos. And I meant I had to work and it and I had to work a lot.
And at the time, you know, the kids were.
Like junior highish age, just about to go into high school. And you know, it's one of those things in divorce, you know, the parent that's not maybe present as much in the kids eyes maybe looks as though they don't care as much. And you know, I wasn't about to, you know, go into the rant of well if I didn't have to work so hard, you know, all the shit. So needless to say I was filled with resentment and anger and then throw on top of it, my dad passed away. Passing away very suddenly put things in perspective and the Hail Mary to God was like, God, please put something in front of me, I don't care what it is, I don't ever want to be in this position again where I can't be where I need to be when I need to be there. And then I can have freedom and choices to do as I need to. Little did I know, almost six months to the day later.
I was introduced into network marketing, which was the very last thing that I meant when I threw the Hail Mary pass to God. I, the last thing I want to do was get into network marketing. But I ended up taking a product and buying a product that I really loved and after a few short days fell in love with it. And at the time I had, right after my dad died, I checked myself into rehab. I had an alcohol coping issue. I also had a food coping issue that was had, that had a very strong hold on me. And at the time I walked away from that corporate job to get help. You know, environment is than willpower and.
It'S one of those things that, you know, if you want something different, it's going to require something different from you. And watching my dad have only 12 days to process that his time on earth was done really made me not want to waste one more moment of time. But without the right tools in the toolbox, without.
A lot of direction, with a lot of anger in my heart, I didn't know what to do. So what does an enneagram 8 do? They burn the fucking place down. I don't really recommend it.
But what it did was, you know, in rehab, I was introduced to the Enneagram. And I'm titling this episode how the Enneagram helped me make my first million dollars. Yes, I am. I'm saying it. And if you had told me that that would happen at the time, I would have laughed at you. That. That this Enneagram thing that my therapist in rehab make me, made me look into, that I went kicking and screaming into, would be the greatest tool that I put in my toolbox. Obviously, I've done a lot of work in recovery. I've done a lot of internal work. I'm. I'm a student that has probably put close to half a million dollars into my education and development. But the Enneagram was the secret sauce, and it continues to be, because it is framework that anybody can use. And it was. It was in learning the Enneagram that I understood that the way that I communicated wasn't as effective as I thought it would be. I mean, it was effective in getting people to do what I wanted to do or to control people. But that isn't effective, right? Not long term, anyway. And after my experience, I was here for the long game. I knew I wanted to be here for the long game for my kids, and I knew I wanted to show them a different way. And in order for them to receive a different way from me meant I would have to communicate different with them. And so they were my first test drive with using and integrating the Enneagram in my life. And overnight, things changed. The way that they received, the way that I spoke to them, the way that I could be a more effective, loving, compassionate parent, even. Even when I didn't understand them very well, because they're very, very different than me. I'm an enneagram 8. There are 2 and a 7.
And just using that framework, the little bit I knew at the time, made a huge impact. So fast forward six months. I had been unemployed for six months, which is the longest time I had ever gone without working. I am the Type of girl that goes back to work literally 13 days after giving birth. So for me to have six months to kind of like, really figure out what the hell Tracy wanted to do at the age of 40, it was very uncomfortable for me to be in that. And my savings was dwindling very, very quickly. Headhunters were after me in the industry that I had been in, which I didn't want to go back to and, you know, enter that network marketing product that I fell in love with. And on day seven of taking that product, I decided, well, let me see what this is all about. And I remembered thinking about that plane ride back to God and that Hail Mary pass. And it was like, this is the last thing I wanted to do. But this is where divine faith comes in. You know, most of my life, I had faith, but when things weren't going my way, I'd be like, yeah, I'm going to take the wheel on this one. And that's usually when shit would. Would go sideways. And remember, I wanted something different. So it required a different level of divine faith out of me. And so I started to realize that in order to be successful in network marketing, I was gonna have to build strong leadership. And I've always been a decent leader, but obviously my communication made me not as effective as I could have been all these years. But with the tool of the Enneagram, with a lot of humble pie, with some recovery under my, with a heart to serve the perfect storm of all of it, I entered the industry of network marketing. And I knew that I was going to have to leverage every single person I came in contact with. And when I say leverage, it meant, like an even beautiful value, energy exchange from every person that I had. You know, we hear about leverage and we hear about collaboration and adding value to people, but those words are thrown around pretty shitty, quite honestly. I knew that I would help enough people get what they want, and in turn, I would totally end up with what I want. That's what collaboration really is. That's what exchange and vulnerability is. And using the Enneagram allowed me to do that very quickly. Now, mind you, at the time, I had wiped out my entire social network. Not necessarily the best time to build a network marketing company, let alone a multimillion dollar one. And I knew that I was going to have to communicate effectively with every person I talked to. I'd have to speak what was in it for them in every conversation, and mean it from the bottom of my heart, from the depths of my soul, not just manipulate the conversation in A way that let me get them right. And I know I have many network marketers that listen to this show. I have many entrepreneurs and coaches that listen to this show. People can sniff out the what's in it for you? Kind of energy. Even if all the language and all the NLP and all the marketing that you're, you know, scripting that you're doing, people can feed your energy, especially quality people that can help you build a strong, effective business. And so, you know, I was a baby, any grammar back at the time, but I knew enough, and that's why this is so important. And I knew I was typed properly and I knew the skills in really understanding very quickly who I was talking to and asking the right questions to not just get to the behaviors, which is what we see and what we usually judge people on. Right. I had spent 40 years judging people based on behaviors and quite honestly spent 40 years judging myself based on behaviors. But asking the right questions to really understand what motivated every single person that was in front of me so that I could really, really, really.
Communicate with them in a way that they knew what was in it for them and I meant it and I felt it and I knew I could help them. That energy doesn't lie. And because I was getting very skilled at doing it and I did it over and over and over, I had, I had the heart was in the right place. I didn't have to have all the right words, but the heart and the energy and the way that I communicated with everyone was in the right place. I mean, think about it. I was that single mom that went to rehab six months earlier. I had wiped out my entire social network. I was the divorcee running around Gilbert, Arizona. Like, not necessarily the one that you're like, oh, that's the team I want to join. She's the one who can take me to freedom and happiness and joy. So I had a lot of proven to do. And it wasn't through my words that I did the proving, it was the way that I communicated and it was the energy in which I showed up to every conversation. So, you know, those first six months in my network marketing business, I was ignorance on fire. I was passionate in all my healthy eightness, all my healthy eightness. So I was in my growth number all the time, which is that two. That helper, that compassionate, empathetic person, but with the intensity of the eight. That and the conviction and the decisiveness and the. And the, oh, fuck, yes, we're going to do this kind of energy that make people feel Safe and secure. And so I showed up in every conversation like that. And because I asked the right questions and because I gave a shit, people were like, I have no idea what this is, but whatever it is, I know that you'll take me to places that I really want to go. And I know many of you listening right now want to help people. You want to make a bigger impact. And that's all I really wanted to do. Did I want to make an impact enough to not be put in a position to be not where I wanted to be? Yeah, absolutely. I wanted to make an impact that was huge and massive. And I know because Zig Ziglar says it and it's true, and I've done it over and over. If you help enough people get what they want, you will inevitably get what you want. And you can't fake your way to that. The tool of the Enneagram allowed me to do it much faster. And, you know, when I realized who was in front of me and could speak life into them, most of them would say, I feel like you're reading my mind. What that does is it builds credibility and trust. And when you have credibility and trust in the eyes of another human being, especially somebody that is trusting you with their own vulnerabilities, that's when the needle moves fast. That's when the referrals come out of nowhere. That's what I meant by leverage. Because I didn't have a big network. I had to build trust with the people that I was serving. The ability to speak life into them, to give them what was in it for them all the time, led to credibility and trust, led to referrals coming out of nowhere. And it also helped me bring out the best in people and establish leadership. There were many people that came to me having zero desire to be in network marketing, but they loved the product, they loved the energy. They wanted to be around me. I would do hiking and bring people with me, and because I was asking the right questions and making people think, have an awareness about themselves that maybe they never thought of before, or they were in the hamster wheel, like I was just on autopilot and, you know, just getting by and holding on for dear life. When somebody comes and breathes, Breathes and speaks life into you, all of a sudden you start looking at things a little bit different and you start to think things like, well, maybe. Well, what if. But what if I did fly? Maybe that's. If she can do it, maybe I can, too.
And that's what started to happen very, very quickly. And within two years, well, let's just say 26 months, almost to the day, my first million dollar income came. And when I talk about pouring life into people in the network marketing space, I had brought 82 people into my organization personally. Only 82. And if you do the math, you know, it's 40 a year.
Let'S see, that's about four a month, give or take, right over 26 months. Not a ton, not a ton, which I knew because I knew the compensation plan. But with four a month, I was going to have to breathe life into them and see what was possible for these people and mean it. And sure enough, those 82 people generated 15,000 people into my organization. 15,000 people with 82 strong, beautiful, amazing leaders and humans that trusted me with their journey. Whatever it was, not all of them decided, hey, I want to be a network marketer. In fact, probably only about 25 did. But those numbers are pretty good too, if you know the numbers in kind of the network marketing space. To have 20 to 25 out of 82 become people that want to enter the business realm of network marketing. Those are good stats right there. Not Only that, those 20something people were all really making a big impact, not just in the lives that they touched, but their own families. The ripple effect in their own families, in their own marriages, in their own teams was priceless. And the ripple effect of just one person going first, speaking love and light into every single person they came in contact with is what happened. And honestly, the tool that I use, other than the humble pie and the willingness to really serve at the highest, highest of level and to give divine trust to a power much bigger than me that I call God in knowing that if I helped enough people, then I would be okay. And using the tool of the Enneagram allowed me to use that framework to speak to anybody. And you know, here we are on the eighth year mark. Eight years ago today, I decided I was going to be in network marketing. And I still do it to this day. A lot of you just know me as like this high performance coach and person that goes into teams and organizations and help them speak this language and use this framework. And I do. And I'm still in Network marketing eight years today. And my organization today is over 110,000 people strong. I'm happy to report I have seven millionaires in my organization. Two of them make that annually, which is incredible. And out of those seven, there's about five different Enneagram types represented. So you can see the ability to speak to anybody. And bring the life and lead every single person that comes your way is a valuable, valuable tool in impact and leverage in income. And it makes you a more well rounded leader. And you know, a lot of times I used to only attract very intense eights into my life and it was a shit show, quite honestly. And to have the kind of diversity that I have, not just in leadership around me, but in my friend circle and the people that I keep close to me allows me to tap into other people's gifts. Because this enneagram8 has spent most of her life being a lone wolf and trying to do it all herself. Now, granted, I have very strong, strong skills in a few different areas. I really, really do. And my zone of genius, I'm. There's nobody better. And I know this. However, there are certain areas of my life that I'm not so great at. And me trying to figure it all myself would deplete me energetically, energetically bankrupt me. So much so that I couldn't even be in my zone of genius because I was so damn exhausted all the time. But the ability to speak to everyone, all nine Enneagram types, not just in leadership, but in sales and marketing and leadership in your home, in your business, will allow you to stay in your zone 90% of the time. And this is where real leverage happens. And it's actually where the more I worked, the more energized I got. Like, isn't that the dream? Right? And here we are, eight years later, that business is still crushing it. 110,000 people strong. In the eight years I've been doing that, my income is just shy of 5 million. That's unreal. Unreal. I've probably earned, I think, 8 or 9 high level, beautiful luxury vacations. I've spoken on stages in front of 20,000 people more than once, talking about leadership and personal development. And today, you know, all of that practicing and using the Enneagram. First leading in my home started with Casey and Joey. Honestly, they were my guinea pigs with the Enneagram. And then into my early days in network marketing. And over the last eight years in network marketing, in the last five years, I have been going into teams, all teams, not just my network marketing team, but all teams, not just in the network marketing space either. I've gone into corporations and real estate brokerages and health partner firms and legal offices and you name it. And I have taken this framework into those places to build stronger, more effective teams where we can handle conflict resolution quickly, where we build a culture that is fucking bulletproof. Where people are excited to show up every day for the vision and the mission at hand. That is a gift. And it's one thing to just know the Enneagram and to screenshot a thing or two. It's why I don't do a lot of that fucking shit. It really is. I love the memes and I love the information, but it doesn't equal transformation. You have to know what to do with it. And for the last decade, I have been not just studying the Enneagram, but integrating it for myself and helping teams, organizations, families and individuals do it too. And if you are leading a team and you, for whatever reason, find yourself frustrated or resentful even of your team, or you're not able to bring out the best in them, or you feel like you're always dragging them along, or if it's to be it's up to me, then you might need some help in your. Your own self awareness and leadership. First and foremost, it must start with you. This wouldn't have worked if I didn't. Start with me. And then once you really have humbled yourself enough to be coachable in that area, then you can really start integrating. Integrating this in all areas of your life. You know, one of my favorite things to do is to watch teams come together and do and be everything that they were designed to be. To make the impact with every person they touch and in their own legacy that they leave behind. I can't imagine my life today. You know, I still see the same therapist that introduced me to the Enneagram. And, you know, she's an eight as well, which is so funny. The fact that I could be led first of all, and that 28 in a room could. Could flow so well together is a true testament to my level of health at this point and hers as well. But I know that many of you are frustrated. And in order to make the impact you want, you can't do anything alone. And I know how scary and vulnerable that can feel. There are still times that, you know, I want to play the lone wolf. I do. Thank goodness I have the understanding and use the framework of the Enneagram as a compass to recognize when I kind of go in that zone and to use my wings to help pull me out of that. Because if I'm left to my own devices in my eight ways, I will stay a lone wolf. And I know that a lot of you love the Enneagram. You tell me all the time, I love that you're getting so much out of these episodes. And please, if If I have made any kind of impact on you, it mean the world to me. If you leave a written review on itunes or Spotify or any of the other places that you listen so that we can get into more rooms to help more people to make a bigger impact. And if you are one of those people that leads a team, whether it's in the corporate space or this entrepreneurial space, and your team isn't as effective as you would like it to be, I want you to know it all starts with you, the leader. Somebody has to go first, and it has to be you. And something magical happens when you take this on for yourself, and then I can come in and help you and your team as well. It's beautiful. It's beautiful to watch everybody feel confident and. And step into their zone of genius. And I know that without this tool.
Holy crap, I could have, like, let my. My shit go sideways more than once. And, you know, we're all human. We're all human. And the Enneagram isn't, like, the foolproof way to keep your. Your shit straight all the time. I mean, we have emotions. We have things that happen. But usually in the past, had I gotten to this point, I would have stirred the pot and blown my life up at this point so that I could protect myself from a blind side. But using the tool of the Enneagram, it's. It's helped me.
Really keep a perspective that's.
True and compassionate and loving and filled with grace, and allows me to continue to touch lives, whether that's in your homes or in your businesses or both. Because, quite honestly, when you integrate this into your life, it affects all areas of your life for the better. And what happens is, is you become a very cohesive leader in your home and in your business. And although the Enneagram isn't complicated, it really isn't. It's very complex, though. And you want to be able to use all the dynamics of this tool for your greatest good so that you can continue to really master your zone of genius. Mine just happens to be leadership development. And if you're needing help with that, please don't hesitate to reach out. I do work with individuals and teams and families and all sorts of amazing things. It is a game changer. And on this eve of, you know, starting to utilize this in business.
My goodness.
Oh, my goodness. I'm so grateful for the journey. And when I look back when I was a baby Enneagrammer and not really knowing much, but really used the tool so effectively.
And now to be able to teach it to others. And not just for information, but. But the integration process.
It's amazing to see so many of you doing so many beautiful, positive things in the world. Lord knows after 2020, we needed it. And I would be honored to help you on this journey. Oh my goodness.
I am so thankful every day for the Enneagram. I really am. I know it sounds really cheesy and woo woo as fuck, but. But I'm just straight and shooting you. I'm not a woo woo typical kind of girl, but when something works, man. And not only just in my crazy head, because that's the thing I've had. I'm very good in my own head. But I can't teach what's in my head all the time. But the framework of the Enneagram, I can teach it to you. I can teach you the integration of it. So you can use it for what it was made for. And that is to make the impact in your life. To break cycles that don't serve you anymore. To step into who you were always designed to be before life came and kicked the shit out of you. And for you to make a difference in this world. So that when your time on earth is called, the legacy that you leave behind is something that you are so proud of. So reach out. I would be honored to walk this journey with you. I've walked it with thousands of people. And coming very, very soon, our live typing sessions on air. I'm getting really, really close. If that is something that you're going to be interested, be on the lookout for information on that. Also, because the number one problem in using the Enneagram is being mistyped. Because if you have the wrong information, you are going the wrong direction. And that doesn't serve any good. So although you know, my days are filled doing one on one typing sessions, I want to be able to help many, many more of you be typed properly. So then you can take and execute this beautiful information for the good. And so that your emotional intelligence and self awareness is at an all time high. So that you can do what you want to do. So if this episode is landing on you, just give me a little screenshot. Share it with the world. Share it with a friend. Share it with somebody that maybe needs this message who's feeling down and out or feels like they're stuck. I know when I made the decision eight years ago that this girl was going to go into network marketing, it was a very scary, vulnerable moment. It was unknown territory for me and I don't like to be shitty at anything. But with the Divine Trust and the tool of the Enneagram, I jumped right in and changed everything, Gave me tracks to run on to make the impact that I want.
