Hello. Hello.
Welcome to another episode of the Becoming Bulletproof podcast. And I get so many of you in my DMs on Instagram and Facebook and my email asking me how to build stronger leaders, whether you are coaching them. If you're in a network marketing business, you know, because when you have strong leadership working with you, you don't have to work the grind as hard. You always have to go first, right? You have to lead the way. You always have to be the one that like, shows the way. However, you can work a lot smarter when you have strong leadership working around you. Many of you know that I have built a very successful network marketing business. Seven years ago now is when I started my first at really building a network marketing business. And on paper, I was least likely to succeed. I was six months fresh out of rehab. I was unemployed after walking away from a 15 year career in the car industry. I was a single mother. I was in a horrible relationship that was about to explode. You know, I had wiped out my entire social network, taking my basic network down to my two children. And yeah, that's when I started network marketing. Not the ideal times. Like, yeah, I'm just like the epitome of strength and leadership and health. Join my team, right? However, I did. I did. At the six month mark of sobriety, with no friends and no network and no idea what the hell I was doing, I embarked on the journey of network marketing. Now I will take you back. I have always had strong leadership skills as an enneagram 8. It is kind of a natural thing. However, when we are unhealthy in our eightness or in any type, when we are unhealthy, we cannot be a good leader. But when an 8 is healthy, they do have some very strong leadership skills. But any Type when healthy can be a very strong and effective leader. I get to ask that a lot. Like what type's the best to do? Sales or network marketing? All of them. Any type healthy can do all the things right. We just have different strengths in different areas now. When I started network marketing, I wasn't the healthiest. I was at least sober. I was spiritually strong physically. I was pretty wrecked after living a pretty rough lifestyle for a while and stress getting a hold of me and the pressures of being a single mom and carrying the entire burden. However, when I decided to embark on a journey in network marketing, which is not what I wanted to do by the way, I resisted that. I went kicking and screaming into it because I was quite honestly terrified. Like, do I have what it takes to build this? I don't have any friends. Like I said, on paper, I was least likely to build a empire in network marketing. However, I also had had six months of the Enneagram under my belt. I had applied it and integrated it into my life in my personal life. And I saw immediate changes, like drastic changes. And I was raising two teenagers at the time. And if you are privy to what teenagers can be like, to really be an effective leader to teenagers, especially fresh out of rehab and especially after a bunch of broken promises, to be able to shift the household night says a lot about how integrating the Enneagram into life can really change things. So because it worked there and because it worked in my own level of self awareness and because I had studied myself for six months and really mastered my own self awareness and how like I show up in the world and how me and my 8ness can have an effect on all the types of. I very quickly realized that even though I had strong leadership skills all of my life, I wasn't very effective sometimes because I could be abrasive, I could be intimidating. And although maybe I could get people to do what I wanted, sometimes it was out of fear and it wasn't for the greatest good. And you know, when we are doing things because we're passionate about it and feel fulfilled by it and are called to a mission or a leader that is leading the way, things just get a lot easier. And so when I started network marketing seven years ago, I had six months of the Enneagram and Enneagram integration under my belt. And I knew that in order to build strong leadership first and foremost and also to leverage every single person I came in contact with, I was going to need to be a self aware of how I show up and how I may have an effect on them. And two, understand who I was talking to within minutes, right? When you can see, hear and understand people and they feel accepted by you, the chances of them buying into whatever it is that you're trying to help them with go way up. Now I'm going to throw a little disclaimer in here. You must be coming from a genuine place of love, service, and really wanting to help people. I see people with their.
And this may be you, and it was me. You know, if you spot it, you got it. This was me. For most of my life. I was always, I always had my own personal agenda and that came from a place of fear, you know, not greed or anything, but it was coming from a place of fear of like, if I don't do well, if I don't succeed, then I'm going to be super vulnerable. And I didn't want that. So knowing my own self awareness today, I could come from a place of love and service. So, you know, when you can speak the language of the person you're talking to, even if it's just to help them with a health journey or, you know, you're coaching them in some business or whatever that looks like, or they want to build a network marketing business alongside of you, you're going to have to speak their language. Now this is something I faced along the way too, is not everybody was super healthy in their own personality type. And that's okay too. Just means maybe that it's going to be a harder road for them or they're going to have to develop a level of self awareness. But knowing who I was talking to, I could lead the questioning in a way that they felt seen, heard and understood. And if I'm a betting girl, there are many of you out there that most of your life have never felt, seen, heard and understood. And the reason I know that is because I didn't either. I was actually told I was better seen than heard, right? Like my voice didn't matter. And it's, you know, that is the one thing that continues to run through my brain. It's one of the very first things I remember as a kid being told, you're better seen than heard. And every time, even to turn on the microphone to record a podcast for you, it's in the back of my head, like, none of y' all want to hear from me because I'm better seen than heard, right? It's probably why I'm so vain too, because like, if you're going to see me and not hear me, then I better look damn good. Right? So how does this help you build strong leadership? Right. First of all, you can do the work of so many more when you have strong leadership, which is great. Right. Wouldn't you agree that working smarter, not harder, wouldn't you agree that it'd be great to do a lot with 80 than with 800? Like, that's like managing and navigating 800 different personalities and people is a lot more challenging. And a lot of shit can go sideways than with 80. Right. And so using the Enneagram early on, I knew within minutes, because I have worked really hard on this and didn't just study myself, I did mastered myself. But then I also studied the other eight types, like extensively. And I knew two of them very, very well because two of them were my kids. So I studied them extensively. So within a few minutes of a conversation, I could identify approximately.
Approximately, give or take a type or two, what they were. Immediately I could tell if they were in the heart, the head or the gut triad. Like that I knew right away. And so then once I could narrow it down, then I was working with three different types in each triad. Right. If you guys don't know what I'm talking about, you can check out some previous enneagram101 episodes. When I talk about the triads.
When I could identify within minutes of a conversation the personality type that I'm dealing with. And because I know that I know where they go under stress and I know where they go when they're in a growth pattern. And very quickly I could kind of gauge, not judge, but gauge where they were at and speak to that. And I could speak life into them. And when people have life spoken into them, especially when they're going through their days on autopilot, they will very quickly pay attention to what you're saying.
Right? Right. And because I didn't speak what was in it for me to them, I spoke what was in it for them to them. That is how I was able to leverage 82 people to make my first million dollars. Right. Wouldn't that be great? You network marketers out there taking 82 people and turning it into a million dollar income. Yes, it is. And you know, speaking to your people, I know there's a lot of you out there that speak one way. And my templates, you know, as far as templates go in, you know, sales techniques or explaining compensation plans, the template's always the same. How I deliver it changes based on the person in front of me, the tone that I use, the speed in which I talk the.
Way that I talk to them, whether it's on zoom or in person or on a phone call, right? Because the goal is to build trust. And when you speak somebody's language, you immediately build trust. Because if you saw me talking to another eight, that looks very, very different. I will start to talk like that if I'm talking to another eight, because they're like, bottom fucking line me straight shoot me, get intense. Like match intensity. That's an eight thing. But if I'm talking to a two or a four, I slow it down and I get really intentional about.
Compassion and tone and service and uniqueness and all of that. And that's the thing. A lot of you have templates, and that's great. I'm not telling you to change that because that's how you duplicate, right? That's how you are able to leverage people. But if you kick it up a notch and use the enneagram and your understanding of it first to understand yourself and have an awareness and master that about yourself, but then understand every type that you may come across, and there's only eight more, so it's not too, too much. And know how to speak to those people in a way that they can receive your message. Shit moves fast. And if you know my story, you know, Yes, I took 82 people in 26 months from zero to a million dollars. And I don't say that to Bragg at all. Like, that's awesome, and it's great and all of that, but not only did I create that, but it also tells you that I took those 82 people and developed strong leadership because I knew how to pour into each person. And I'm here to tell you there are seven millionaires within my organization today, and every single one of them has a very, very, very different personality. I believe one of them is a type one. One is a type six. One is a type three, one is a type seven. The other two I'd have to really look, but. And then there's me. I'm an eight. So I can tell you that speaking life into certain types, especially when they're in a growth pattern, you can help them move the needle too. How cool is that? It is something that so many of you are missing out on. I know that you speak one way, and this is something that's not taught. And it's one thing to have the information, but to have somebody show you how to integrate it, that takes it next level. And that, my friends, is where I love to shine. That is my zone of Genius is what I can talk about all day long. And corporations and organizations and in teams of people, sales teams, network marketing teams. I do this all day long and I never get tired of it. Because there's so much power in knowing that if you communicate to somebody in just the way that they need it to receive the message, especially if you have something that you know can change their life, like, how freaking exciting is that? And it was what excited me the most at the beginning is, first of all, I knew that what I had to deliver really could help somebody. But if the messaging couldn't be received by them, it was kind of like, well, what the hell? If you are passionate about what you do and you love what you do, and you know without question that what you have can help them, serve them, can, can help you care about them, then you owe it to them and to yourself to be the best leader you can and to speak the language of every person that you come in contact with. But you first must master yourself. And you. If you can't lead people, if you can't lead yourself, and you can't lead yourself if you don't know who the hell you are. And that is where I got hung up for many, many, many, many years, right? I could boss people around all day long, but I couldn't lead myself. And it wasn't until I took the time to really become my own master of self awareness that everything changed. And once I could lead myself, I'm telling you right now, there is nobody in this world that I can't lead. And that, my friends, is super powerful and super fulfilling and feels really good every day when I lay my head on the pillow to know that I can communicate with anybody and help them move the needle. Powerful stuff. And I know there's so many of you out there that know you have this calling inside of you and this gift inside of you, and you feel like you are. It's slipping away from you every day and you're doing all that personal development and all the events and all of it's really great. I'm not knocking it. Anytime you're doing anything to improve yourself, that's amazing. But if you're not getting the results you want, you feel stuck, the needle's not moving, the income's not moving, your leadership is stagnant, then maybe you need a guide. I'm just telling you right now, I needed some guides in areas of my life and I continue to. And this is where I can help you. So if this is helping you, if this is resonating with you.
