Hello and welcome to another episode of Becoming Bulletproof. And today we're talking leadership. I know many of you listening. You're leaders, your business owners, your solopreneurs. You're leading in your own home, anywhere. And if you're a human being, you're leading in some way. And the beautiful person I'm bringing you today is the master. Quite honestly, when I met her, I'm not gonna lie, I was like, okay, I'm not sure about her. And that was coming from my own kind of like walls and insecurity and because I knew she could see things that most didn't. And that is actually her superpower is her ability to see things specifically in business and people that most don't. And when you have a blind spot expert in your life, you definitely want to be around them. And Karene Walsh, she growth strategist and business advisor, she deals with very, very high level, level people and businesses and, you know, I'm fascinated every time I'm around her. Like, if I say one sentence and for somebody like me who's pretty guarded, naturally, and I'm like, not asking for help, but because in my mind I'm like, I don't want help because then maybe you think I'm like, not capable, right? And I had to get over myself because my goodness, I say one sentence and Karine's eight hit list, things of things, I'm like, holy shit. Like, what is happening right now? And at first it intimidated me, and then once I like embraced my own kind of inner bitch and said, you know what? She's, she's amazing and she cares about you and she wants what you're doing out into the world and like, let her in. And I let her in. And my life has never been the same And I know that in listening to our conversation today, yours won't be either. She has taught thousands of people how to lead with value. And in a day where we are inundated with, oh, God. Being sold every five seconds, everywhere we look, whether it's on the gram or Facebook or, you know, even walking outside the grocery store, those sweet little girl Scouts are selling us. So when you can lead with value, you can drown out the noise around you. And she is a specialist in this area. So in this episode, we're going to talk about leadership and leading with value. She's going really show you how and give you so much permission to stand in who you are. You don't have to be Susie on Instagram. You don't have to be anything but who you are. And she's going to really talk about what that looks like. And through her own journey, how she's come to terms with that as well, and even helped me a little bit along the way. Like five minutes ago, she just spoke so much love into me. I was like, damn, girl, I needed that. How much do I owe you? Because that was fucking great.
And we're also going to talk about maybe clarity, clarity on where you need to look, because if you're like any of us, there's a lot of noise, and when there's noise, it's hard to gain clarity. And she's going to just lay it all down. So, Corrine, welcome to the show, my love.
Oh, Tracy, thank you. That was such a beautiful intro, and I am so honored to be here and just help impact the listeners in any way I can.
My heart is beaming right now. You are the medicine that my heart needed today. So grateful that you're here. I know that those of you that are listening right now, a lot of you are frustrated. I know it. I see it. You're smiling real pretty on the gram and everything. But I know what's happening behind the scenes because, you know, I run with a pretty special crowd, and we're all feeling it. So if we're feeling it, I know that you are, too. And so when it comes to clarity and, you know, all the noise that's out there, what is the first thing that you would tell people to do as far as gaining clarity? Yeah.
So sometimes, Tracy, what I see often is that we feel like we cannot ask to actually get assistance on getting clearer. So a lot of the times when clients finally come to me, you know, like, it's that resistance just like you were talking about. There's a energy I put off that anything is possible. And that can feel so overwhelming to someone who might be having that inner doubt, inner shame story, inner I'm not good enough story. Or if I ask for help, I look weak. And they've wasted so much time to actually get into a room with someone and say, help me, like, get clear. And so what I started to find was when I just put together these strategy sessions, and I call them strategy sessions because the first part of that session is, let's get clear on what it is that you truly want. It's the number one question we forget to ask ourselves is like, well, what do I really want right now? You know, how do I want to show up? How do I want to be perceived? Not assume that these people are thinking this thing about me, but actually know for sure that when I show up in a room, they're actually saying those things about me that I want them to say. And it's not really about the perception of how my doubts are leading me, but from the strengths of how I know I show up in the room, that they're seeing that. Which is why I totally appreciate you sharing that. When we first started our relationship, there was a feeling of. Of she sees me. And I don't want her to see me right now because then she might actually either help me or really put that mirror up to show me I have work to do.
Oh, absolutely.
Right. Like, those are hard moments, but not many people.
You know, can you find that actually can be that conduit for you to actually get to the other side of whatever that story is. So clarity to me is really allowing yourself the space to explore what is true to you, what is true for the desired results you'd like, and what is true about the fears you have around going about it. And when you work with a coach advisor, someone who has experience feeling all the lows, it's not like I've always stood in this space. I've gone through my own shit. I know what it's like to feel less than to feel like I don't matter. To feel like what I desire is just so asinine that why the hell would I even go after it? Like, I know all those feelings, but I had to step forward despite it. But I also knew that if I didn't seek out the people and the workshops or the work that you and I always talk about, to actually. Yeah, all the work, to reflect it in a way that actually gave me the language to articulate what my truth is and how to actually go about it is Something I could always figure out. So clarity, to me, is the first step of really understanding where are you right now and where you desire to be. And then we figure out the how to get there, which is the strategy part, right, Is the how?
Well, I think so often that people are trying to do the strategy first. And I mean, and. And I'm just gonna speak very transparently. The last two years, I've kind of been doing that too, and I didn't even know it. And so as that strategist, and I'm sure you saw it all along, but whatever. I had to go through my shit to figure out really what I wanted to be doing and that clarity. And, you know, I've made lots of money, and I'm not immune to it either. So for those of you sitting out there thinking, like, I don't even know what the fuck I want, yeah, okay, that's totally okay.
Yeah.
That's actually better than saying, I want this because you're going off of maybe not exactly.
Or even putting up the facade of I've got it all together. Yes, honestly, nobody cares if you have it all together. They don't care. They care that you're actually stepping into an authentic space about yourself and sharing that you don't know. And you're deciding to explore. You're deciding to explore finding the answers to the I don't know questions. Keep it simple, guys. Just keep it simple for yourself. Relieve the pressure cooker that you put yourself under to figure it all out right now. Right? And just step into the exploration because you'll have so much more fun if you do. And it actually will then allow your mind to dream again and actually tell you what it is that you want right now. The other thing I always do, Tracy, and I'm a permission giver constantly in my practice because I find that most people actually need permission to do these things. Like, I. And I always have to give my permission myself permission to fumble all the time. Like, whether it's I'm going out on stage and I start to think about all those things, or I'm gonna trip up on myself. I might have to use the bathroom midway. Like, what's gonna happen? Like, all the stories, right? And I have to always say, karine, I give you permission to fumble if you fall down. It's gonna be a really fun Instagram pic. People will put a meme together for it. Who gives a shit? It's about the impact of why you're here, and you're following what you believe you wanted, right? Now, and it lets you stay present.
Okay. I don't know about you, but I just felt such a calm in my heart and that I think I just heard you all take a big sigh of relief with that permission. So thank you for that.
And I know that we're hearing that and you're hearing that out there, and you're still like, yeah, but the yeah buts are coming. Of course, right? So when somebody says, I want this, but, yeah, but she's doing it like that, and that's working for this person, and that's working for that company. Like, what do you say when the yeah buts come? Yeah, they're coming.
Yeah, of course they come. And. And you can sit in comparison all you want, you know, but that's all you're gonna get is comparative results if you truly want, in an authentic, aligned way. So I'm all about helping you align what you love with what you do. And it's that simple. Because if you can stand in alignment with who you are and what you do, the buts don't matter. They don't matter. They're just stories you're telling yourself to stop you from actually going after what you really want. I mean, it's literally the hard truth. That's it.
I think we can stop the conversation right now because that was pretty much gold. That was amazing.
But it's the truth. You've seen it in action with the people you help in your sessions and stuff. It's like you're an obstacle remover, too. That's what I call myself. I'm here to help you remove the obstacles and get to the truth of what you want so we can get into real action and stop wasting the time just in the doing so that you can actually get the results that would actually fill you up. That, to me, is an aligned way of living.
So good. So where do you think that in leadership? Yeah, in all facets. Like I said, I tell people all the time, you know, if you are in a home, living with more than one person, you are leading somebody, even if it's a cat. We are always in a role of leadership in our lives. I mean, that's why we're here, I believe, to, you know, walk that path for somebody else before they do. Where do you see people struggle most in the. In the leadership?
Well, I think we have a breakdown in actually allowing ourselves to have conversations about how to lead, because most of us trip up into leadership unless it's been a goal of ours to lead something. And let me backtrack a little bit. I going through my own self development journey knowing that if I didn't take care of myself first, then there's no way I could take care or lead others in a way that would serve them. But also keep me in check, like take care of me first, you know. So you and I talk about the self care journey all the time and it's so important. But then you get to this point where you're like self care, emotions are good, you have the self devote, you've done the work, you know you well enough. Most people then feel like, well how can I go impact someone else and assist them in doing what I've done? Or the opening shows up as like now I have the internal power to go after and lead something. And I found that after the personal development journey there becomes this leadership journey that I don't think that there's enough care and practice and conversation around, to be honest. Especially everyone these days launching their own businesses online. All this solopreneurship happening online business stuff where it's like you're actually leading a business but you haven't even thought about the construct of what it takes to actually lead that. And so when I published my book last year with Value, it was literally to help start these conversations and practices around what it actually takes to step up in and be a leader and start to look at yourself and really check yourself on how do you want to lead? Because it's not. It's again, it's another question we don't ask ourselves. Generally, people who have climbed the corporate ladder and both you and I have been through that phase in our lives before establishing our own businesses, we had to follow suit in a leadership stance that might not have been authentic to us, but was required in order to succeed in that framework. In that system. And I talk about this all the time, each business has its own system that you have to go into and leverage. And when you're an employee of a company, you have to then figure out how you leverage that system for the career that you want there. So certain things around leadership are designed for you and in certain companies you can then bring in your own.
Sorry.
It'S all good. We're both hacking up lungs over here, so we're good.
Sorry about that.
So in those systems, like I'm saying, like you either have it drawn out for you what what leading means, or you can actually take a pause and ask yourself how is it that I want to lead? But a lot of us don't get the training or even the Coaching around how to step into the leadership role that's aligned with who we are. And that piece, I think is critical to get clarity on as well. Especially if you're a leader of industry. If you're in the C suite and you're feeling like you're struggling and you don't know why, or your team is struggling and you don't know why, I always say Your business is 100%, hundred percent a reflection of how you lead it. And if you're not like literally looking at how am I showing up as a leader, what does my team need for me to lead, Then there's work to be done there in order to really hone in on stepping into your true leadership stance. That's authentic to you.
I love what you are saying right now. And I've seen it, you know, when I was in the corporate area, I mean, my goodness, how I showed up, I mean, it was required for what I did and, and it was effective at the time, sure. But it, but it didn't feel authentic to me.
Right.
And I know there's a lot of you that are in corporate positions or you're an employee somewhere. And, and it doesn't necessarily mean it's always going to be like that either. But, you know, it's no surprise to me that I ended up in the roles that I did based on where I came from. Right.
Sure.
It felt like home, being in my masculine energy. I had to be that most of my life. So, yes, put me in a male dominated, dominated industry and I'll do just fine. And I couldn't get that clarity for what I really wanted. And the older I got, the more that got shoved down. Right. I think what you said was so key that especially in the world we live in today. You know, when we were kids, personal development wasn't talked about. Right. Like my mom was. I saw maybe one book that was like, kind of like, oh, what's that? Right. And then of course, because they didn't have anybody modeling that for them, of course it got shut down. So I'm like the first generation of like personal development. And I know that we're living in an age where personal development is an addiction of. In itself.
Yeah.
And I think when people are able to gain some clarity, get some movement, have a breakthrough, they do want to help other people with that. And what you said so beautifully is that there is a gap, though, in the leadership journey and how you translate that into business. Personal development and helping somebody is one thing. Building a business and being a leader is another. So how do people really bridge that gap?
Well, when I looked at my own journey, whether, you know, how I came up in corporate too, I leaned into a masculine energy to survive in that arena as well, because it was tech based.
And I also found that when I compartmentalized, which is also another masculine energy of doing, I achieved way more and I could advance in that career. But then when I thought about my team, and this was really young in my career, my twenties, and what they would say about me and how I showed up for them, I always led in a way that I wanted to be led, but I never experienced myself. And so I've always had the walk, you know, walk the talk. And I wasn't necessarily receiving what I was hoping for from my leadership, but I wanted to create a better situation.
For them. And when I looked at their perception of me and also their performance reviews of me, because I would ask for that feedback, and it's always good for you to just ask for the feedback. So, you know, for sure, not many people are willing to hear it. But I think it's important. I found that my success in my businesses on my own, as well as when I work for other people, when I was an exec in different companies, was I always led with my core values like I would. Regardless of how I was being treated sometimes in the more dysfunctional environments I was in, I still had to stand in my core values to show up for my team because that's what I was responsible for. And my clients, obviously, because that's who I'm most responsible for. But leadership was always lacking in having that core value conversation. And so as I launched my book last year about lead with value, it was because that has been the undertone of everything I've done. And I found that when I even took the time to identify what are my top three core values, and if everything I do, I'm leaning into those three values, not only. Only am I feeling more aligned with my work that I want to show up even more for the reciprocation became so much easier from those who I was leading because they understood that about me. My most favorite thing I'm hearing lately is that, oh, so and so we were just talking about you and we love you, right? And I was like, oh, I love you guys too. And I love that you're using the word love, because that's my number one core value back in the day as an executive. If you use the word love in a corporate environment, what? But I'll tell you that my Team knew I love them. Like, even though we couldn't use those words in a corporate environment, they would feel it. They knew that if they had an issue and they needed to come to me, we were all in it together. But they knew that the core of that was love. Like, I cared about what they wanted out of life, not just the job they were doing for me. So I showed up that way. So there's different ways for you to step into leadership in an authentic way. I think it starts with knowing what your core values are and how you actually fit and create the systems around you that reflect that.
You know what's interesting about what you just said, I was thinking back to, you know, my time in corporate and when I was leading people or like pre 10 years ago, let's just say most of my life when I would lead people, love was not one of my core values in that, I mean, I'm a very loving person and create deep connection. But I was so afraid of it that that core value got shoved to the side. So I was leading from a place of fear. Right. It's either we're doing things out of love or fear. And I think a lot of you that are listening right now all of a sudden had. Sudden had an aha moment as well. Right. Like you can love deeply, but we're afraid to use it because what happens if we're not left back, whether it's in our work or in life? Right. And I know, like we talked earlier, and I know you very well that your core value has always been love.
Yeah.
And burned you.
Yeah, 100% burned me. I had to learn self love first before actually truly understanding what love meant and how to actually give it. And know that reciprocation is a choice from the other person on the other side. Right. Like you, that's the piece that gets you in trouble when you're loving with expectation of a return versus just loving. I mean, that's why I can meet people when they're in pain and stand there right next to them as they're in pain because I'm just loving on them. I'm not looking for oh, because you were there. Like, this is what happened to me. Like a validation of my love. But that comes first from self love. And I would not say that I knew that.
I would say, how do I want to phrase this in my most painful, most abusive times, meaning when I was being taken advantage of for the caring heart that I do have because my heart is on my sleeve always. Like, that's just how I was as a child definitely got taken advantage of over years of just having to neglect myself for other people. So I had to learn self love and also to find the language of what love looks like in the workplace. And what love looks like in a romantic relationship is different. So to me, love in the workplace is truly caring about everybody's expertise in the room and letting them shine. That's a form of love and in the workplace.
And that's a beautiful. Like how you just framed that is so beautiful because I think what you said, like there's a difference between leading with love and leading with love. Expecting some love back or.
Some kind of reciprocation. And I noticed for myself and I know many of you listening, like when the needle got moved really not just in.
Money, but when the needle got moved in fulfillment and purpose and passion is when I was leading truly out of love and empowerment of others and bringing out their gifts and not necessarily doing it Tracy's way or, you know, my ego way that I would really like it or like all of you to just love me because I'm just such a great leader. That actually was empty.
Yeah.
It wasn't until like I wanted to really, truly bring out the best in others that everything changed. And so I know there's a lot of people listening that they're like, yeah, self loving me.
Not there yet.
We're not there yet. So explain like where you were at and when you needed. When you knew you needed to do some air quotes work.
So I've always put myself in arenas to stretch me because I was fortunate to start the work.
In my 20s because there was this inner voice in me that always said it was, it's better than this, Karine. Like you are making choices to sit in something that doesn't serve you anymore. And so go find the help or go find someone to talk to that can help at least surface what the true problem is you need to solve. I'm a problem solver, you know, so that I'm very solution driven. That's another part of my value system is creativity. And my creativity comes out in problem solving a lot of the ways. It's my dynamic mind loves to work that way. But I also had that inner voice telling me, get the help. Basically, like, go seek out how you can find the people that will care about you as much as you are putting out into the world and caring for others. I was depleted because I was overextending myself for other people and highly functional in my dysfunction. So I'm like, you Tracy, where it's like, success will always happen. Whatever arena I put myself in, whatever arena I put myself in, I will find the way. Because we know how to make things happen. Like, we have a master of how. But what I didn't really take the time to think about was why and what I wanted to put out into the world. So it's been a journey of different type of workshops I've gone through, certifications I've done. To become a leadership coach and really work with top executives, you need to understand different modalities of how to meet them, where they are, and where to take them next. All of that I could do because I did it to myself. I put myself in the arena to really face myself first so that I can show up in an authentic way for everyone else. So it's all different modalities. I've literally tried them all. I feel like more to try. I love exploring the side of me because there's always something. There's always something else to open up and get to the other side of. And so if anyone listening is sitting in the fear of the discovery of what you will find on the other side, I guarantee it is much lighter than the heaviness that you feel burdened by right now. Because what you're holding onto is not defining who you truly are. It's a story. You're telling yourself that you are that person and get the person on the other side to draw out your truth so you can let go of that version of yourself and live in the light that you know you deserve. That voice that I had to listen to was a hard voice to hear for sure. But when I did actually step forward and go find the people that I could trust to talk through and go through the different therapies that I've been through, or put myself in a workshop and let others mirror me back to me. Like the dysfunction as well as the praise. It helped me stand much lighter in who I am, but also learn the practices of letting go and forgiveness and all the things so that I didn't show up heavy all the time.
So something that you were talking about when you did that discovery process. And I think we're living in an age, like I said, and a lot of you listening, I know if you're listening to me, you are open to the discovery process and you have explored it. And discovery is one thing, right? It's kind of like, how do we integrate that into an environment where we've conditioned people of how I usually have showed up, Whether it's In leadership or whatever.
So it's one thing to have that. And this is where the permission to stand and who you are comes in. Because I think this is really where the disconnect happens is because when we get resistance or pushback or even, you know, shade thrown our way, you know, I know when I postured a different way and everybody had expected me to be one thing, and especially somebody like you that was an over giver, like when you stop giving, you're going to get shit thrown back at you. Like, what the fuck, Karine? Yeah, like you've always done it this way.
Yeah.
And I know this is where most people will bail.
Sure.
Right. So when you say you give, you help people give, you help people have permission to stand in who they are is one thing or two things or three things that you can give them. When the resistance comes, when the shade gets, you know, thrown, how do you stand in that?
That? Yeah, it's a great question. Because what I find time and again is like, especially if you go into immersive workshops, right? And you're feeling that elate energy after being in like a four day, you know, immersive environment and all the love is around you and everybody's at that same frequency and you're all just feeling that warm and fuzzy. And then you go home and it's like, what the freak?
Like, who the fuck do you think you are?
Yeah. Not even that. You start talking to yourself in a way that. Or feeling like that's not possible. Right. Or it's not possible to create that around you. And the answer is, it's all possible. The actions you take when you come out of doing the work. So here's the deal. Everything that I have accomplished for myself is because I then decide in the moment when I'm feeling that elated energy, that connected energy, the truth of who I am. I ask myself, how can I actually, in this state of being every single day going forward, and come up with an action that allows you to ground yourself in that beautiful state in the truth of who you are? So what does that look like? It could be the journaling exercise. Because maybe you went home to an environment that is not conducive to your true self. Yet change is going to have to happen. Don't be afraid of the change. It doesn't have to be a drastic, overwhelming. Go fire everybody in your life unless. Unless it truly needs to be.
I mean, you. I did.
Yeah, you could totally be that. But not many people have that gumption. Nor I'm. I'm the same way, Trace. Like, I'm like, when I'm done, I'm done. That's it. That's it. And I'm 100%. Let me tell you how excited I get to end something in my life that no longer belongs. And it doesn't even matter what anybody else says about the reaction to me ending something. It is my choice to end it. It is also my responsibility to manage myself on the other side of ending that thing. So every time I literally had a phase where I would break up with friends or break up with a boyfriend or, like, end a job or whatever it was, I would get so pumped. Yes. If someone comes to me and says, I decided I'm quitting my job because I'm pursuing xyz, I start clapping. I'm like, yes, you're ending something that no longer serves you. I get really geeked out on the ending of something because something. Yes. Is meant to happen. Now, most people don't know how to clearly end something, and it does not in a graceful way. Because ending something is not graceful. Like, it's just not. And it doesn't have to be. You get to define how it goes. So the actions that you can take to stay in state, whether it is something you're ending or something you're transitioning through, maybe it's an up leveling. And up leveling even requires you to stop doing a certain behavior and adding a new behavior in to stay in the frequency of connection that you had in those immersive environments. That connection to self and the connection to others. So three things, because I want to give you guys some good tips because I got all excited about ending shit.
Seriously, I want all of you, if you're driving, like, screenshot this and just share it like, on social media. But when you get home, I want you to take a screenshot so you know exactly where this conversation happened. Because I want you to go home and write on a sticky note and put it in your mirror and in your office and in your car. I get so excited to end something in my life that no longer belongs.
Yeah.
Remind yourself like, I am fucking doing that. Like, yeah, Beautiful.
It is. It excites me. I get so excited.
I'm excited.
Isn't it so great? Like, if you allow that energy in to say yes, this means something new is coming in. If you don't create the space, you can't allow the new to come in. Right?
Yes. Karine.
Yeah.
My God, that was good. All right, three things.
Let's hear three things. Really Quick. So it's get the habit. So while you're in the moment next time. And even now, like if you just had an aha for yourself that you're like, I need to live in the state of true action that's authentic to me. Step number one is write the stuff down. Like, I know how simple it might sound to journal, but if you do not take a moment to really get your thoughts down, then that's why you're walking around in chaos and overwhelm. Because. But it's all of us, Tracy. Like we, we have so much information coming at us that our beliefs are getting confused. So when you go and you journal, I want you to answer the question of what do I believe about myself right now? And then answer I know I am capable of and be super clear with yourself, what are you capable of today? And just literally, even if it doesn't have to be ext, I think we stop ourselves from doing practical things because it sometimes feels too easy. But when we actually do the easy on a daily basis, we're standing in who we are in a very practical way. I don't do things unless they're actually practical and easy to do. But that's one recommendation is to take the time to just write a few things down to yourself to stand in your truth. The truth I choose to stand in today is like I'm just giving you some one liners to get connected to self.
Shit, I'm rewinding this. I'm going to re listen to this.
So good so that you can just jump into that energy again. The reason why those immersive experiences excite you is that it took you out of your daily noise and put you in an environment that lifted you up. There is nothing stopping you from creating that lifted up spirit every single day. You are the master of your domain so I just want to help you take control of it. Step number two is find your tribe that you can connect with. I've literally been thinking about Tracy, like starting a group called High Frequency Tribe because I know I need to surround myself with this and I know the way I lift people up when they're around me, but they do the same for me and I'm trying to figure out the best way to make it. Actually, I know how I'm going to do it. I think I'm going to start leveraging the texting platform and literally fall into people's pockets every single day to say, hey, think about this. This, this is who you are right now. This is how you're Meant to show up. The point is, though, get into your tribe, plug in to podcasts like this. Listen to things that actually put you in the state of being that you want to stand in every single day, get that into your daily practice. The third is connecting to your body. A lot of us get so cerebral. We are in our heads way too much, telling ourselves stories that do not belong, living in the doubt, living in the fear, and we forget to move our body and connect with it. As soon as you do that, you actually have clearer thoughts as to what it is you truly want. So I challenge you for number three. Is that when you're moving your body to ask yourself, what do I want? What do I really want? What I want to see happen today? What do I want to pursue further? What do I want to explore? And do it while you're actually moving your body, and then listen to the answers.
Because if you are someone who's moving your body and constantly looking at a screen and absorbing other people's information and not listening to the downloads that you're meant to get through your own mind, your own gifting, that's why you're not living in an ideal aligned state for yourself, because you're allowing other people to control your narrative, and it's 100% up to you to control that so that you can gift the world. With the leadership stance that I know you have, with all the gifting that I know you want to put out there, and these are the practical ways to get centered in self, to do it.
My goodness. I know. I don't know about all of you, but I know that I needed to hear all of this today. My goodness. My.
I really am. I'm kind of like, okay, I got nothing, because that is so good. And I want to hear from you guys. If you are loving this, please screenshot it, share it, tag us both, or tag me, and I'll make sure Karine knows how much this has landed on your heart. I know in leadership, it's. I know we want to lead with love, and it's scary sometimes and it's super vulnerable, but I know that's what your calling is. And honestly, let's just be real. It is the real way to success, emotionally, physically, spiritually, financially, all the things. So I know that.
You wrote a book called Lead With Value, and here's a little, little gift for you guys. I have five copies sitting here that the first five people that hit me up in the DMs will get a copy.
Sweet.
Yeah, it is an amazing, amazing Book. She's also got a PDF on her website. Right?
Yeah.
My Core Value Exercise. So if, like, you're not sure what your core values are, this would be a great way to start, right? Yeah.
Kareen Walsh.com valuesexercise But if you just go to Kareem Walsh.com, you can grab a cup. It's super easy. I have lots of resources there. But that one is literally the game changer for you, starting that conversation on sharing first, identifying what are your core values that you lean into, but then also being able to do the exercise with others, especially if you're a leader. Have your whole team do this exercise and see what comes up, and you'll understand why things click. You also might see why things don't. And then we got to take some action around it.
God, I love you.
I love you, too, Trace. I love talking with you.
You know, I know you've done so much work, and I have to. And even though it's scary and it's messy and all the things, every time, I am open and willing to discover more about myself because I'm here to tell y', all, you're never done until our time is done on Earth. We are never done with it. So just open up to it. And I know you have, and. And, you know, I think you've experienced losses, and I have, too, in ways that we realize. None of us, no matter how much money we make or how pretty we look or, you know, whatever, if I. Then I, you know, kind of statement we have for ourselves, none of us are untouchable. And I know that you really go all in in everything that you do, whether it's business or personal, like, you've shown me that over and over again. And something I love to ask people.
If tomorrow your time was called and we were all joining together to talk about who Karine was, what would you want us to say about you?
You know, it's. It's. I think about death all the time. And I know that might sound morbid, but it just helps me understand how limited, you know, time we have, really. So it's. I would love it to be a true celebration. And in that people would come and say things about how I made them laugh, how I made them feel loved, how.
When we spent time together, they felt seen and that they knew that they mattered. Because that is honestly what I would love to leave this world, making sure the people in my life know about our relationship.
Well, I would absolutely be able, with complete truth, say all those things about you. You bring that to my life every day and I know that everybody that chose to listen to our conversation today is feeling that from you too. So thank you so much for just being who you are in this world and showing us really what value driven leadership looks like. I love you so much.
Love you too Tracy. Thanks for having me.
