57: Helping mommies get the millionaire mentality with Cayla Craft
2 Jul 2020 · 46 min
Podcast episode (Becoming Bulletproof, ep. 57) featuring Tracy O'Malley interviewing Cayla Craft (the "Mommy Millionaire"). They cover Cayla's difficult childhood (single mother, father in rehab/prison), a formative broken-arm incident that sparked a drive for financial security, her rise from RN to high-earning network marketer, and the mindset/internal work (hiring coach Matthew Ferry in 2014) that supported her transition to entrepreneur. The conversation emphasizes the "Mommy Millionaire mentality": putting children first while teaching them money-mindset, involving family in business goals, repairing marriage dynamics (loving "little" parts of self/partner), and a mission to help 1 million women earn $1M/year. Hello and welcome to another episode of the Becoming Bulletproof podcast. And this is an episode that I have been wanting to record since even before.
I was going to launch a podcast. I knew that one day she and I would come together. I've been on her podcast, I think twice now, but I knew that this would be a great interview. And you know, I've known this beautiful woman for, gosh, seven years now, and especially the last three or four we've gotten close and it's been so beautiful to have a front row seat to watch. Just the evolution of Kayla Craft, the Mommy millionaire. And I know that for those of you listening, you hear Mommy Millionaire, you're like, yeah, this isn't for me. But I'm going to encourage you to listen right now, whether you're a mommy or not. If you're a man that loves a powerful woman, but you also get scared by them from time to time. This is going to be an episode for you because we will touch on that. I'm sure.
You know Kayla Craft was an rn. Was it in the ER that you were an rn?
Yeah.
And she found network marketing and still worked, gosh, a couple years into and she was already making like multiple, multiple six figures and was still working that job. And the mindset that it took for her to say, okay, I'm gonna leave the safety net and move forward into what I know God's calling on my life is, was really, really scary. And I've had the pleasure of watching it as she navig that as she navigates being a mom to three beautiful, amazing, well versed, respectful, contribution driven children all under the age of, I think 11. Right. Is Coop 10?
Yeah, Coop's 10.
All while being an incredible wife to Chase, who I absolutely love. They got married I think chase was, like, 20, and you were 21, right?
He was 19, Tracy. Isn't that crazy?
That's crazy. I thought I got married at 21. Like, that should be against the law. But you. You guys have made it work. And I've been so honored to watch you guys in real time, in real life, and the real hard stuff go through this stuff. And I think what you are bringing to the world. I have goosebumps all over. What you're bringing to the world today, both of you, is something that not a lot of people talk about. Enough. The real hard crap, right? The hard stuff that you see mommy millionaire and the pretty girl and the cute kids and living in Orange county, and you see the glory, but you don't know the story. And there's so much more to the story to be where you're at today. And, you know, for those of you listening and maybe have even watched me or you know who Kayla is, and you think, well, that's great for them, but that's not possible for somebody like me. I encourage you to just buckle up and listen, because we're both straight shooting. Tell it like it is kind of girls. And I am sure that we will bring something that you can walk away with to shift your life, move the needle, to say, I'm done. I'm done playing small. I'm done not stepping into the calling that God has on my life, and I'm just gonna freaking do it. Craft.
Hi.
Hi.
I love it already.
I know. Okay, so, you know, you're the mommy millionaire, and, you know, I think that people throw that around, like, I want to be a millionaire. I want to be a millionaire. I know you did. I know I did. And then we get there, and it's like, now what? Right? And something that I'm really passionate about. What you're talking about is not just getting to millionaire, but the mommy millionaire mentality. The mentality that it takes not only to get there, but to stay there and then explode beyond that, right? Because I know when you hit the millionaire status, I know when I did, I was like, okay, yeah, now what? Right. So what was that like for you?
You know, it was kind of like. It was like checking it off the to do list, right? There was no celebration that happened. And it was kind of like, all right, like, moving on to the next thing now. You know, my thing was like, need to make a million dollars a month. So, like, we're going. We're going, right? And I remember, like, it was. I think it was maybe six Months after I had become a millionaire, I hired my first business coach because I'm like, all right, like, there should be some fulfillment, some happiness that should be taking place right now, but still I felt like a fricking bulldozer when I was really meant to be a Ferrari, you know, and so I had to do that work on myself for sure.
So when we talk about that, you know, I know your whole story and I know your whole history, and I think it's really important that people understand, like, where you came from. You were raised by a single mom whose. And your dad was in prison for drugs, right? Yeah. Yeah. And you know, one of my favorite stories. Not favorite stories, but one of the most, like, impactful stories that you've told. And I know you've shared it about when you broke your arm. Right. I want you to share that because this is, this is like where our beliefs are born, is when we're young. Right. And what Kayla bought into, what belief she bought into, moving forward, is kind of like where that fulfillment doesn't come because you're waiting for the other shoe to drop usually. Right. So if you want to share that.
Absolutely. So I have to take it back to when I was five years old because that was when my parents got a divorce. And I remember my mom, like taking us to the rehab facility to go see my dad because he was trying to come off of drugs. And at that moment, I remember like looking up and saying, okay, like, my life is not going to be normal from this moment on. It's time to be an adult. Like, I can, I can just feel my like 5 year old self being like, alright, like, this is the new normal. You got to toughen up, girl. And I started to learn back then, like, you need to take control whatever you can because this is a unstable environment. And When I was 7, my mom started dating a new guy that I did not like. I mean, I hated him. I would call him a loser to his face. I was like, why are you dating this loser? You know, he doesn't even make any money. He's. I was like, mean, okay. Like, oh, I can see little Kayla.
Being like that, right?
And I'm like, no, this is not happening. Well, he liked horses. And I had never, like, done anything scary in my life because again, I learned you'd only do things that you have complete control over. And he wanted me to ride a horse and everybody, like, put me on this horse and I fell off the horse. It was galloping too fast and the saddle wasn't on Fell off the horse and I broke my arm. And.
I remember falling to the ground looking and like I saw the deformity in my arm. And my mom, like, I just still picture her face because she was like completely horrified because, oh my gosh, what have I done? Made her get on this hors. Her arm's broken and she was just crying. I was crying and I said, mom, don't take me to the er. I know we can't afford it. And again, more shame just covered her face in that moment. And you know, she ended up taking me to the ER. Thank God she didn't listen to my 7 year old self. But that was the moment I decided that I was going to be rich one day. That I would never have to look at my kids in the eye the way that my mom just looked at me. And that I knew I was gonna help moms help themselves to never have to look at their kids that way. And at that moment I thought I was gonna become a lawyer, Tracy. That's really what I was.
You would have been a kick ass freaking lawyer.
I always, I still have it in the back of my mind, maybe one day I'll do it. Yeah, but I mean, I was gonna be a lawyer. I mean, I remember playing how, you know, girls would play house. I would play lawyer when I was seven, eight, nine years old. Okay, so that was the start of like fight for what you believe is right and everything. I mean, talk about. I was already like a little mini adult Kayla. And then I became full on adult at 7 years old. And I think so I think about her often. I talk to her every morning usually because she wants to come out and play and be in control. And I just love her tenacity and her grit. Right then and there. She just started to like, be gritty and figure out a way to get what she wanted. But, but I remember just loving my mom so, so, so much. I still, I spent the whole week last week with my mom because she just wanted to be loved. And there was this guy that loved her and gave her attention and you know, here I wouldn't listen to my 7 year old on what. On life decisions either, you know, so, you know, there's been a lot of healing that has happened between me and my mom too, because she was just doing the best she could, what she had in the moment, you know?
You know, I think when I listen to that, you know, I've heard this story before, but I mean, this, this even like I felt this huge warmth in my heart. It's it's almost like our little girls that live inside of us really knew each other when we met. Even though we really kind of like we knew each other, but we really didn't. It's like those littles in us knew each other. And I keep, like, my little picture close by because I was four years old when I remember that moment very, very clearly. Like, you did. Like, I will never forget the moment that I was like, oh, this is how this is going to go down.
And. Yeah.
And when I was six years old, I don't know if I've told you this story, I actually broke my arm and I didn't tell anybody for two days because I knew that it would become a fight in my house. Like, my dad would say, why is she being watched? Do you know how much money this is going to cost? And all the things. So I took it upon myself to not tell anybody that I broke my arm. And because, quite honestly, I was like the little quiet mouse, nobody even paid attention to me. That two days later is when it couldn't be hidden anymore because I was in so much pain. And of course, the fight happened anyway, but I didn't really connect our stories. Like, yeah, like, I. I was like, yeah, we're not going to the hospital. And I know, like, you've got kids that age. And. And I know when I look at my kids when they were little, I was like, that's when I knew I needed to do a lot of this work because I was filled with so much resentment, even towards my own kids. Not to their own fault, but it's like, God, do they even know how.
Like, they have it?
Like, they don't have to worry about breaking an arm and not going to a doctor, not telling anybody. And it was then I was like, okay, they're not going to get this stuff. Let me start digging in. So when you hired that business coach. Because obviously by then, this was probably about five years ago, right? Five or six years ago that you hired that coach.
2014. Yeah. Oh, gosh, it's been six years.
Okay. Crazy. So other than not being fulfilled, because I know a lot of people, a lot of you, that are listening right now. You're marketing, you're looking for a coach, you're starting new businesses with COVID and everything. You're like, oh, shit. Like, I really have to have more going on than what I do. Like, perspective has totally shifted the last few months for a lot of people. And I know I've been very careful about the coaches I hire. What was going on in 2014, other than not feeling fulfilled by the million bucks that Kayla looks in the mirror and says, okay, I need somebody to call my ass to the carpet. Because girls like you and I, we handle things, and we don't always like to be told what to do. Let's just be honest. Right?
Well, so at that moment, you know, I had just had a baby. So I had a newborn baby. A couple. Like, when he was a newborn, he was like six months old. Is he six already? Huh?
Channing, six already?
Channing is going to be six in September. I know. It's insane. So here's the thing. Chase and I were on the rocks, and I had somewhere. Somewhere picked up a belief that if your marriage is rocky, you're not going to financially reach your potential. And so I was like, I got to. It's me. I'm the problem in my marriage at that point. That's what I believed. I was the major problem. And so I need to get fixed. And so that was the reason I had a lot of anger, and that was, like, very apparent in my marriage. And so I was like, okay, like, I need to work on my anger, and then that's gonna help with my business. And so it was so funny is that that was the only reason I wanted to work on my marriage, was because then I was gonna make more money. That's how, like, twisted I was. Okay, you guys.
So I started. Started working with Matthew Ferry, who I still love and adore. And the reason I knew him was because of our mutual friend Susan Sly, who had worked with Matthew years prior to that. And so I got Matthew. He normally only works with real estate agents, and I begged him to take me on. And I spent a year working with him, and it completely transformed my entire life. And still, like, it's still paying off. You know, six years later, I'm still doing this type of work. And I still give him credit so often because he said, you're gonna hate me the first six months because you want to come in and you're want to know the strategy, and I'm not going to even let you go there because we got to fix what's in between your ears. And so I remember, I want to cancel the calls. I'd be like, oh, I'm sure you did try again on this call. And he wouldn't let me. He'd be like, no, you're getting on the call.
So it was, you know, I think that's. I mean, if you're looking for a coach, referrals Are always best. Right. Because it's like, what. What experience did you have with them?
Susan loved him totally.
And another mutual friend was working with him, too. And so it was like, easy, peasy. I'm doing this. And I just. I mean, I always tell him it was like, the biggest investment I ever made at that moment. And I'm like, I would have paid triple that, knowing what I have now. I mean, I would. I don't know. I would have sold my house for it, because it's just so invaluable.
I think something that you said is so powerful that, I mean, this is six years now removed. And the evolution of Chase and Kayla has gone through so much over the last decade and 1112 years. And the fact that you were hiring a coach because even though your marriage was rocky, you wanted to be able to make sure you could make money. Right? And it's funny, but it's not because, you know, my parents stayed together for a long, long time. And I know it was because my mom could not find. And I remember probably, like, you did, like, I am not gonna live that life. And so I was always like, I must make it, control it. So I was single for as long as I've been, You know, all the things that, like, I need to have control over this because I will not live that life.
Yeah, right.
So you're in this, and you're realizing, okay, I can be a great wife and mom and make money, and at the same time, and I have a lot of male listeners. I want you to know you got a husband who is like, what's my role now? Right. And how do you navigate that as a woman? And I'm guessing just because I know you so well and this is something I've had to work on is kind of my tongue and how I can, without even knowing it, emasculate a man.
Oh, my gosh. Yep.
How have you navigated that? Because we're living in a world where we're raising strong. I mean, your little Charlie girl is going to run the world, and my daughter is going to be like her own woman. And how do we do that with also nurturing that feminine part of us that doesn't, like, rip apart a beautiful, loving man that can support us in emotions and all the things.
Yeah. Well, there's two things to this. So I would say the first thing that really, I mean, Tracy, you know, like, I've called you before where I'm leaving him. Right. Like, it's done. And, I mean, I openly will tell that to People, because it's like they need to know how bad it was. And.
And now the main thing that has changed is the person that was saying those mean things, you know, emasculating him, saying, God, can't you do something? I remember telling him, can't you do something? Like, can you get up a little bit earlier and like work out or something like that? Like, come on, you see me working out. I would say things like that, where it's not like you're saying anything mean, but it's like put in. I would never talk to anybody else in my life like that. But I talked to my. The one person I'm supposed to love and treasure more than anybody in the world.
I realized that is just seven year old Kayla talking to her stepdad, right? Like, can't you do anything with your life? Come on, get it together. So the thing that helped me was realizing little Kayla is needs to be loved on, make sure she feels important and secure. And then you need to imagine little Chase because you're not talking to big Chase because he hasn't done the work yet. And so you're talking a little Chase and not like you're talking to him in a mothering way at all or in a loving way. Like, exactly how I would talk to anybody I love. I would say, oh my gosh, you know, like, I'm so proud of you. You got it. I would just start like complimenting him in different ways and it was like, what? Who is this person? I'd be like, oh my gosh, you look so cute when you make that face. And he would be like, who is this woman? You know? But all of a sudden he started to notice that shift in me. And so he wanted to do the work and he hired a coach. And now he's done all the work and he's working on little Chase. But I think that' biggest thing that people can do when they're having marriage problems and is realize it's not the big people that are fighting, it's the little people.
A hundred percent, right?
And so it helped me so much because I'm like, I'm not mad at big Chase. I'm loving on little Chase. And just, he's just, you know, he just needs love and he needs to be seen.
And I think, I think for our littles, like our own and then the littles that we're navigating life with, like, I mean, I know that I've talked about this, I know that you've done this work. Like when people are seen Heard and understood, like, anything's possible. The communication opens wide open. Like, it becomes wide open, and the trust is there to let down some of the walls. And I know that.
Kayla is fully independent. She doesn't need anybody.
Right.
I don't need anybody as far as, like that. But. But, you know, really honing in on the relationship and a partnership with love and passion and intimacy and all of that, you know, especially the last year and a half to two years, because I know it's. It's hard when you get married as young as you guys did. I've been there, and most of the time, it doesn't work out. And I love that you guys are committed every single day to not only do the work for yourself, for your businesses, but to show your children a different way.
Yep.
So how do you let Chase feel. That's not the right wording. Let him feel. How do you make sure he knows that his partnership with you as your wife, as your husband, as your business partner, as, you know, co parents, that his role is so important? Because I think with men specifically, they want to feel like a hero in some way.
Yeah.
How do you make sure he knows that?
Well, I think it goes. It just goes to the way that you. It's not about what you say. It's about how you make them feel. Right. Um, and so if you make somebody feel treasured and seen, the sky's the limit for them. Right. And so I always, like, just. I'm trying to always look for ways to build him up instead of tear him down, which I did for years. And he would do the same for me. I mean, he'll tell you that, like, he would tear me down too. It was just a cycle. And so now I always just catch myself. I'm like, okay, like, with the tongue, we build up, we don't tear down. And so what can you say nicely right now that's just gonna change his energy or whatever? And another thing, honestly, that we did that I think helps him feel treasured is having more sex. And I think a lot of, like, women, and especially, like, moms are scared to talk about this. They experience traumatic births or whatever, and then, like, their sex life gets all messed up, and, you know, we're gonna. I'm actually seriously gonna write a book on this because, like, a lot. A lot of damage can happen. And so anyways, I think you gotta have sex with your husband. And it's not like you got to, like. I remember going to marriage counseling. Okay, Tracy. 13 years ago. Oh, my gosh. And when we were like, babies.
Yeah.
And I remember the wife of the pastor that we went to, she goes, we had like one on one sessions with her, you know? And she goes, listen, your sex is whatever sex is for the men, okay? And you need to make sure. Yes, you need to make sure to have sex with your husband at least five times a week. Because if you don't, he's gonna look at porn or he's gonna cheat on you. So make sure to have sex with them, okay? It's your. It's your duty as a wife. And that was the sex talk. And so. Hello. You're telling me, like the rebel Kayla, that I have to just something. Of course I don't want to have sex with him because he's, you know, in fear of this, but I had sex with him because I don't want him to do all those other things.
Right.
And so. But it's just like this weird freaking thing. And the more people I talk to about this, I've heard this over and over again, that this is what women are told. Just do it. It's your obligation as a wife. And I just hated that. It felt so much shame. It felt like I was a sex worker. I'm like, this is not normal. Okay. But anyway, so now, I mean, I feel like Chase and I have a great sex life, and I think that helps because he really. That makes me drop into my feminine. And it's just a rule that, like, I mean, obviously I just had surgery, so we're not having sex right now. But we were having sex every day.
Well, hell, yeah.
Yeah, I know, but this is a huge. I mean, people. I tell people this, and like, my clients, some of them, they're like, why? I'm like, because, like, it's amazing fun and it gives you energy and it connects you guys. Like, if you're fighting, go have sex. If you're. If you want to talk down to your husband, go flirt with them instead. Like, do the opposite. And that'll help you drop into your feminine so he feels that masculinity.
You know, it's so interesting that you bring this up.
Let's just go here. We're just going to talk about this shit. So.
Hey, you prayed about it before I did.
Oh, yeah. Just lead this. And this is where this is going to go, because I think it is so freaking important. It's part of intimacy. It isn't. I was talking to my son, who is 22, about sex and premarital sex. And, I mean, we talk about all the Things in our house, you know, with 22 and 23 year old, it's real life stuff. It's not just like, you know, go get your football gear. It's like, mom, this is what I'm thinking. I'm like, oh shit, here we go. And I was talking about sexual in regards to also emotional intimacy. And you know, obviously with a spouse, somebody that you've chosen to marry or somebody that like you've committed to, you would hope that, that emotional intimacy is there and then the physical intimacy just enhances that.
Right.
And I think where a lot of people miss the ball in marriages also. I'm going to tell you a funny story about this, but I think that when kids start happening or lifestyle or businesses or whatever, it is like the emotional intimacy breaks down. And so that physical intimacy doesn't feel connecting, it feels like a to do list.
Yeah.
And I remember I've always been different than most my friends and most women. I was always like, oh no, this is, this is what I'm doing. Like, but I was raised in an environment watching my dad talk to me about this stuff, it's why I was like, not gonna be like my mom. I remember hearing like the fact that he told me this shit. I was like, what are you? Okay, so noted. Like be very sexual. Like, I was like, be powerfully sexual, not slutty. I was never slutty. But be very powerful sexually. Take good care of your, your physical self, be independent and make your own money. And those were all beliefs that little Tracy heard. So even as a little girl, I knew I was going to be very powerful sexually.
Oh, wow.
And I have the opposite. You know, my history and I haven't dated for a long time and all of that. And one of my big concerns was slipping into that very powerful sexual woman and not allowing that feminine energy.
Yeah.
As well. Right. And so isn't it amazing what we bring into like this and how it really can jack things around based on what we were taught, told, modeled, totally. And so I love that you share that. But I think that as amazing as like you said, you know, you've chosen him as your life partner. You have that emotional intimacy. And for all of you men and women listening to this, like, this is more than the physical act, as you know, because it's building, it's just strengthening that emotional intimacy that you guys have had for a child decade plus now.
Yeah, but I mean, but even the emotional intimacy was broken. Right. And so we had to start, no joke, by just looking at each other in the eyes. And we do this in my live events. Each other in the eyes and just seeing each other. And I mean, I was. Sometimes we would do that. We would give ourselves a goal of just five minutes a day doing that. Because at first I didn't want to have sex with them. I was just like, gross. Okay. And not because of him, but me. Right. No, I know she would say that about her husband. Not about that, but I would just find myself crying. Chase would cry. Like we would just have these breakthroughs looking at each other's eyes because it was like, oh my gosh, we forgot our souls are connected and our soul contract with each other. And so that's how it built up to that, you know, of like getting to that place where it's like, oh my gosh. Like we can have sex and we can have fun and it's like great, you know that you can start with just breathing and just looking at each other in the eyes.
It really is like, if you're committed to that, it's possible.
Yep.
And we watched each other.
We go long, far. I mean, we were.
I know you were.
I mean, it is. That's why I tell people all the time, believe in miracles. People believe in miracles.
And it's genuine. It's beautiful to watch. So about three years ago, I remember you and I having a chat, you know, because we both have been and have network marketing in our tool belt and we love it. And I remember about three years ago, you and I having the conversation about Mommy Millionaire and what you really, how you really wanted to help women and bringing little Kayla into this because little 7 year old Kayla knew that she was going to help women step into that, not only with network marketing, but all across the board.
Yeah.
Like you put on your training wheels and network marketing, I think, to really like sharpen those skills. And then you knew there was a bigger space to also do that. And I remember when you were telling me what Mommy Millionaire was gonna be about and even how it's evolved in the last three years through your own evolution of Kayla. Yeah. Why do you think you're so passionate about it? Not just from little Kayla's point of view, but from 30 something year old Kayla's point of view today and what you see. And so I know I see it in the eyes of so many women that sit across from me, whether it's on zoom or in person. What is it about it that gets you up every day? Because you are fired up every day to do this work with people.
Yeah. You know, for Me, it's just. I always think about the ripple effect that happens. Like, if I could just sit with one woman. And you probably feel the same way, Tracy, because of the work that we do. If I could sit with one woman for one hour a day, just from that one hour, their families will be changed forever. Now, if I could sit with that woman for a year, I mean, oh, my gosh, like, the impact that's going to happen in her home and. And, like, just, like, the legacy that will be left. That's what drives me. Like, even this morning when I was meditating, like, a new idea popped up. I mean, it's not a new one, but it's just. It got clarified this morning during my meditation about what we're gonna do, and it just. That's. It's things about, like, helping people realize that everything is in their control because it's up here. And we're not victims. Like, none of us are victims. Everything. We chose all of this. That's what I want to get people to see is, like, we chose all of this. And so it's like. Like, it's my life's work to help people realize that. And, yeah, I just am so freaking obsessed. But when it first started out, I was gonna do social media marketing, right? I was gonna help people that way. And then I was gonna do subscription boxes. It was like, all these different things. You guys. Okay, it's really evolved, but, like, we're on a mission to help 1 million women make a million dollars or more a year. We do that through lots of different modalities. But, yeah, I mean, even my team, we were on a couple morning meetings this. Today, this Monday, when you. I don't know when you guys will be listening to this, but, you know, we were all talking. Everybody's excited about the impact we're having. We're reading testimonials, we're reading reviews, and it's like, oh, my gosh, everybody on the team knows why we're doing this. It's not just about the mom that we're talking to or the woman. It's about the kids that are being impacted because of this, too. And so that's. I have a heart for children, first and foremost. That's it. You know, so it goes back to that.
I love that. Because that is. You know, when people ask me why I do what I do, I'd much rather sit across from one woman than on a stage in front of 20,000 any day. Because I do know the ripple effect of the power of one. I Mean, you think about somebody like Oprah, one person, and the ripple effect of that, just as an example, one. One person named Kayla Craft. And the ripple effect is millions of women.
And so I love that and I love the fact that I'm so passionate, you know, even though I do a lot of stuff in business and so do you and help people make money and, you know, all of that. And you and I both broke. Generational stuff.
Yep.
And I know that every day that I look at my kids in their 20s, I'm like, you know, what if I do nothing else? Right? I did that, right?
Yeah.
And I have raised children by taking care of myself, by, you know, doing my own work, by showing them what harmony looks like, you know, because we talked about balance earlier and we throw that word around, but anything that's on balance means it can be completely rocked off. And there's, there's a flow when there's a harmony. You know, there's highs and lows when you, when you sing it in harmony. So I love that you use that word rather than. And balance and how to have a harmonious life through business and momming and wifing and friending and healthing and all the things that make us us. But I'm so passionate too about the families. And when I get asked, and I know that when you get asked, you think about little Kayla too. And I know I think about little Tracy and how really nobody had her back very much.
Yeah.
And I know that I would have died for me two decades ago. And I know that that's part of your mission too. I mean, you think about 20 year old Kayla, 15 year old Kayla, and what that might have looked like. And so mommy millionaire and the social media thing like you just talked about, like, yeah, that was initially kind of things the thing that you were going for. But this mommy millionaire mentality is what, like I have gooseies all over thinking about how this has evolved because it is so important to not just make the millions of dollars. I mean, that's great. And it's important you get freedom and choices with that. Not knocking it. It's as important as oxygen, y'.
All.
Like, trust me, I get that. But if you don't have the mentality to back it up either, you're gonna lose it, you're gonna blow it, you're not gonna be fulfilled by it. You're gonna destroy your family with it. Right. So I love that you're doing this. So let's talk about the mommy millionaire mentality, because I know we're in the middle right now, you guys. So this is. I know we're speaking to you, and you're going to want to go right now and find out what this is about, because she's about to close this up. You're going to want to be a part of it. So explain to all of us what the mommy millionaire mentality is.
Yeah. So a mommy millionaire always puts her children first, right? And business comes much further down the line, because when she knows when she's taking care of her family, everything is in alignment and everything will be taken care of. And so I just remember in the beginning stages of being in network marketing, even starting Mommy Millionaire, I felt so much mom guilt because I'm just like, gosh, I'm working so hard over here doing the to do, and da, da, da, da, da. And I felt like my kids were missing out on and they were getting the leftovers of me. And so the more that I've evolved, I'm like, like. And my family is just so amazing, and I just have to teach moms how that if you put your children first, if you put them and you teach them the mentality of a millionaire now at very young age, your household will run a lot more smoothly. And, like, it's just incredible things will happen. I'll tell you a story. Yesterday, we were on the way home from. We just went down to the beach for a couple hours. We live in Newport. And we went down to the pier, and we just walked around and hung out for a little bit. And on the way home, we were telling the kids about how the next two weeks are going to be nutso because we're launching the mentality program. And when I say nutso, it just means that, you know, like, normally I don't work every day. Mommy's gonna be working every day for the next two weeks. And so they're like, oh, cool. How much money are you gonna make? This is my kids. You know, I'm like, well, you know, we're projecting to make around 500,000 from this launch. And I go, but this is perfect timing. We need to talk about this. We're going to at least give, you know, 10% to people in need. So who do you guys want to give that money to? Because you guys are a part of this. And so they go, oh, I heard my friend from school, her dad lost her job. Can we give them money? I'm like, yeah, okay. What's their name? Let's write it down. And they started just list out how they were going to Give the money away. And then they got. So then they started to get, like, more and more ideas. Well, mom, can we give to this? Can we give to that? I'm like, yeah, cool. Like, I'm just writing down all the ideas. And then Charlie goes, oh, and I can even give some money from my slime business to those people, too. And, okay, you guys, this is not. This didn't just, like, happen one day. This is because they see Chase and I live this out on a daily basis about giving back. And that money is very easy to make in our household. Money is easy. It gets to be easy. We don't use words like cheap or expensive. You know, everything is like, we love money. Money loves us back. And because we're good people, we help the world around us. And so this is just the way my kids think. And so I just got, like, super excited. I mean, that's just one story. And most kids don't do that. Most kids go, oh, well, we can't afford to do that. I mean, you know, I didn't think that that was a thing that you could do. But my kids are like, the possibilities are endless. Can we give a million dol. And my kids are like, I'm gonna make a billion dollars a month when I'm 19, Mom. And I'm like, sweet.
You are.
You know, like, they just think that the sky is the limit, and they have a whole business plan to back it up. Like, no joke. Cooper has a binder of business plans. It's the cutest thing ever, because he just thinks, you know, possibility. And so I want to teach more families, like, how to instill possibility into their family life. And it's not just like, okay, if mommy's in the office working, like, you're over here, and you get to do something else. No, mommy's office working, and you get to be a part of it. Here are our goals. Here are what we're doing together as a family. Here's how we're impacting the world. You got to bring everybody into that plan. It's not mommy and mommy's business. And then the kids. It's all inclusive. You know what I mean?
So I think this is so important, because I coach this all the time. I think that mom guilt and dad guilt, too, is so important to talk about, because I think the problem where people get into trouble and they're dropping balls, whether it's in their families or in their businesses, is they're compartmentalizing everything.
Yep.
And I know, like, in my previous business, before network Marketing. I had my own business. It was very compartmentalized and you know, the marriage fell apart and it was a shit show and all of that. And my kids were never involved. Even though, like age appropriate, your kids are under 10. Mine were at the time that I was doing that. And had I involved them in that? I mean, you and I both know we could feel uncertainty in our homes growing up, especially around money. And we could feel the stress around money, even if it wasn't talked about, it was a feeling. And so, you know, when I started shifting how I talked to my kids, they were early teens at that time, and getting them involved in it and them asking questions like, what is a 401k? What is a credit score? What is mortgage? What is this? What is that? And involving them in it, instead of compartmentalizing our lives, that guilt goes away because you're actually giving them an education that they're not going to learn in frickin school, let me tell you. And they're not going to learn from Susie's mom down the street. Even though Susie's mom may make great popsicles or whatever. I think what you're doing and showing your kids is something that's so beautiful, and I'm so grateful that that is part of the mommy millionaire mentality, is getting the whole family involved so you can build a legacy not just for Kayl and beyond, but like Cooper and Charlie and Channing and then every person that they touch and every person that they touch. And the legacy will go on long after we're gone.
Absolutely.
So for the moms or even dads that support some amazing women out there, who is this for specifically?
Yeah, it's for a mom who makes money. Okay, so it's not for like the stay at home mom, even though it would be great for you. But we're gonna get in here. If you want to learn how to make money, this is for you, right? It's for the mom who may work a job and has kids and feels guilty for leaving the kids at home. It's for the mom. It's just for the mom who wants to make money. I mean, that's the simplest way to put it. And if you're feeling any kind of stress around your family life, if you feel like there's anything blocking you and the money that you deserve to have in your life, this course will be for you. Because I'm going to teach you how to just release all those energetic blocks that are in your way. Because like, I mean, a lot of people think it's hard to make money and it's just so easy. It really is. When you decide it gets to be easy and you get to release all the things that are no longer serving you. So I'll teach you how to do that inside the course.
Let me tell you, like, me, like Kayla and me were a lot alike in a lot of ways and very different in other ways. Like when she talks like that, I'm telling you right now, she's no bullshit with that. And I watched her do it and she's like, it's easy. I'm like, okay, all right. Because I'll get all twisted in my head and all those things. So if you have any money blocks, this will definitely be for you. She's going to help you work on the mindset around that and creating like the harmonious life with being a mom and a wife and a business owner and having hot sex with your husband. And we're going to talk about that stuff too. And she, like, part of the mommy millionaire mentality, has a kids section too, doesn't it?
Yes. Yeah. So, yeah, it's a. I think if you sign up by a certain date, you get the kids only section as a bonus. So it teaches your kids like all of the things that we should be doing as adults, but just in the kid friendly kind of format. So.
Yeah, and that's really important because, you know, when I'm talking to people and they've got like two and three year olds, I tell them like, there's ways that you can, you know, drip some of this stuff in at their level that they'll get it. And then obviously your kids ages are different and then mine were different. And I think it's never too late and it's never too early either to start sharing this stuff with them. Kayla, I love you so much. And what is. I know that there's a lot of people listening right now and they're like, like, it sounds really good. Yeah, it sounds really good. But how is that possible for somebody like me? And I know that maybe not so much you, but I know that I battle that still sometimes. Like, how is that possible from a. For, you know, a girl like me that has been through what she's been through and, and it hasn't always been easy. What would you say to them right now?
Why not?
You know, like, I think so many of us, we fight for those limitations, for that belief of. Well, maybe it's just not for me. Maybe it's just, I don't know, it kind of sounds too Good to be true. And you're fighting for that limitation. Like, you know, and so what if you could just say, why not me? Yeah, why can't this all be for me? Why can't money be made easy for me? Why can't I have an easy family life? And you know, some coaches hate the Y word. I freaking love the Y word. Because all of a sudden it makes your subconscious mind go, yeah, well, why can't I? Like? And you'll start to find little, like, synchronicities throughout your day of, like, reasons why you're worthy of this and so much more. And so, you know, anytime that, like, little, like, voice wants to creep in, you know, challenge it. Always challenge everything. That's something I teach people all the time. Any belief that comes up, challenge it. Even if it's I love God, challenge it. Why do I love God? God, Right. Make sure you believe. You truly believe everything that you've been telling yourself so often. And instead of like, giving that, like, little voice type kind of like, oh, gosh, why can't I just, like, be nice to myself? Don't be mad at it. That's just feedback for you, right? Asking, oh, thank you for coming up and teaching me. I have something to work on right now. Thank you. And then go to work to prove the new belief that you're putting into place. And the new belief for you could be that, like, listen, I am a mommy who is going to make millions of dollars and help so many people by doing so.
One of the things that, you know, because a lot of people that are listening won't fight for themselves. Right? And I know you've experienced that with the thousands and thousands of women that you've worked with. And, you know, since you do help mommies and, you know, this is where I think about whenever I want to kind of play into little Tracy's belief system because she. She's scared out of her mind, right? It's just a scared little girl like, this does not feel safe. And if you can't kind of get there yet, I know it kind of sounds woo woo and little out there. And if you haven't gotten there yet, I totally get that. Like, me and Little T didn't have a relationship till I was in my 40s, so I get that. But because your mom, you're a mom, I want you to imagine, like your little three or four year old son or daughter sitting on your lap. And would you ever have them sitting on your lap telling them they could not do anything? Like, would you really Pour that kind of disbelief into them. And I'm almost 100% certain none of you would. So if you are battling this right now and you know, like this is something you need, but you're like doing the building the story and case in your head, I want you to imagine your little three or four year old sitting on your lap right now and what you would, what belief would you pour into them and then just pour that into yourself and find Kayla, Kayla, where can they find you?
