Hey. Hey. Welcome back to another episode of the Leadership Formula. The podcast and my day today has been spent in the trenches with high level leaders. And I'm talking like CEOs of multimillion dollar corporations as well as CEOs of some smaller businesses. I have had the full range of CEO today and it had me thinking about, like, how the Enneagram is such a beautiful and powerful tool when you have the right expert and coach and how it can 10x your business performance. And like, what are the real facts about that? Now, you've heard me talk about this before, and if you're new to the show, you're going to hear us very quickly. There are a lot of amazing Enneagram information teachers out there. They, they do the cute quot graphics, they give you great content as far as information. And all of that's great, all of it's great, but it's kind of like, you know, we all know how to get the information on what to eat and how to exercise. We can write up a beautiful nutritional program, we can write up a great workout plan. But unless you are actually in. In the thick of it implementing all of that, all you have is a lot of really great information. And actually knowing the information, doing the beautiful things with it actually can lead to more shame, frustration, sabotage, procrastination. You know the routine. I know I've done it before. You can too. And with the wave of the Enneagram becoming trendy in the last few years, I see a lot of this. You know, people drink the Kool Aid and it's cool and it's fun and it's awesome when you have a new awareness about yourself. But a lot of you are using this information maybe not in the way that serves you or the people that you lead. And this is why, like, it's crazy what's been happening in 2022. I am I joke all the time as an eight. Like I don't like marketing myself. I really don't. It feels very vulnerable. Eights don't like it. You know, typically I can do it. I can do it and I can power through and I can check my ego and you know, use the framework of the Enneagram to navigate that. It's still not my favorite thing. Not at all. Now that being said, you know, whatever career I've been in, whether it was this kind of executive coaching, performance coaching, health and wellness, the restaurant industry, the car business, any kind of career that I've had, I have always been that word of mouth relationship builder. I am kind of like the secret weapon behind the scenes that's like, oh, you need this girl, you need this girl. And I've always liked it that way. It's very stealthy, which as an enneagram8, I love that. But, but the word of mouth has spread about what I have done and can do for teams, organizations and leaders of all types. And it's been very cool. You know, I've been working with companies like Google, multi million and billion dollar health and wellness companies, law firms, legal teams, mortgage companies, real estate firms, tax accounting firms, like all different kinds of businesses. And it's been so amazing. And at the end of the day, effective leadership and empathetic leadership will really take you to the 10x level. You can have great strategy, you can 10x your your numbers on a spreadsheet and that's great. I'm not saying that those aren't important. I'm a numbers girl. I get how important the bottom line is. I'm a bottom line, we kind of girl. But then there's this whole other level of non measurables, the things that don't show up on a spreadsheet. Employee retention, employee satisfaction, employee fulfillment, employee growth, leadership development. A lot of those things you can't see on a bottom line or a spreadsheet but you can see when those things are in place what it does to the things that do show up on a spreadsheet and in the hearts of yourself and the people that you love and lead. And you know, it's been pretty cool. You know, the Enneagram is just a tool. It really, really is. And like I said, there are a lot of cool information teachers out there. And why I am different and why I am being brought on by teams like Google and all These other and YouTube and other companies is because I use it as a tool to harness that and help performance at the next level. And, you know, approach conflict in a healthy way. Conflict, which I know a lot of you are avoiding, is one of the great, greatest catalysts for change 100%. And especially when you know how to handle conflict in an elegant, helpful, effective, empathetic way. Like that's next level. Anything in your life, I guarantee if you look back on it, any kind of growth you've had in your life, you can see where, when there was conflict, even though it does not feel good, it is not fun, it is not pretty, it usually is like, oh, painful, Right. But on the other side of that, you can see where the measurable growth came into play. It's hard to see it when we're in it, but when I am working alongside leaders that, you know are in charge of a lot of responsibility and people that their ability to get on the level of every single person they love and lead creates revenue streams and a bottom line, higher profits, less turnover, all the things. So some of the things I want to give you an insight because you, you might be thinking like, well, I definitely have a team, but I have a team of two. Or, you know, it's just me and one person, or, you know, I have a home team. All of this is a team. And I love helping you put all the puzzle pieces together. Yes. Do I work with high level executive teams? Yes. I'm like the Wendy Rhodes from Billions for a few different companies and I freaking love it. It's like putting human psychology pieces together and showing them why all the pieces fit together or why they don't. Amazing. If you are or know somebody that has a large corporation and is passionate about creating culture and harnessing the power and leveraging every single person that they have in a way that people feel seen, heard, understood, valued, and have the ability to grow because we're all, we all want to grow. We really. Unless you're just punching a clock, we want to grow. If we're not growing, we're dying. Right. Tony Robbins. Now, like, that's obviously for next level. If you know somebody that or are part of a large corporation, you want somebody to come in and speak. Even as a keynote to kind of intro the enneagram to it. That's usually how it happens, is I was a keynote speaker for a few different companies and then they ended up hiring me as their executive coach. They're like, oh, this is way deeper than the enneagram. That's just the tool. Those are facts. Now, I also work with smaller businesses and organizations as well. And can you imagine, like, if you have this big vision for your company, and it might be less than 10 people right now, but you have a vision of how this is going to go. And you may not have, let's say, the bankroll. To hire the people that you need, you're going to need to squeeze every bit of juice out of the very best juice out of each individual. And you want to communicate with them in a way that they see the vision and they're here for it. So leveraging each person will be very important. You'll also be able to see the superpowers of people. I've been asked a lot. I've had a very successful network marketing business. That organization is upwards of over 120,000 people today, almost a decade later. But in my first two years, I made my first million dollars. Like, made my first million. That's not revenue, that's like income. And I did it with 82 people originally. This is what, you know, the power of leverage can do. When I had 82 people, I was able to really see the superpowers in each of those people and harness them not just for the greatest good of the organization, but for them individually. And so much so that when I took a step back to do my consulting business, those teams flourished. And that organization is still cranking without me. That is leverage. That is empowering leaders. That is not micromanaging. That is not being the queen bee and ego driven in a way that I want everybody to rely on me. That's not leadership. Okay, so I have worked with many network marketing organizations, not just the one that I have been a part of, but she's, I think probably seven or eight different network marketing companies at the corporate level, as well as pockets of teams. So if you lead a network marketing team and an organization, you know, like most of the bulk of the sales and revenue in your organization come from 20% of the people in the organization. Now, can you imagine having somebody like me bring this tool in and consult with you on how to bring out the best in that 20%? It's game changing and it's working smarter, not harder. It's how I've made over. Gosh, I'm right at $5 million in that organization. Pretty powerful, right? And I've been hands off of it for about four of those years. So it's pretty, pretty cool. I also am really passionate about the home team. And you know, a lot of these corporate executives that I work with, they see the value in this leading their team in the workplace that they bring me into their home team as well, and, you know, there's a lot of, I don't want to say controversy, but opinions around the Enneagram in children. And obviously, we are not putting assessments in front of little children and slapping labels on them and telling them, hey, you're this or you're that. This is not what that's about. I do, especially with the younger ones, with parents, I consult them. I really ask some beautiful questions if I can. I love to be in person with the children. I've always been very in tune with the innocence of children. That's also an eighth thing. And I have the ability to consult the parents, you know, with the littler children and say, this is what I believe you might have on your hands. Let's try a few things and see, and you'll know when you land. And this is how to build the confidence in that child. This is how to speak to that child, to bring out the best in them. This is how to handle conflict with this child. This is what not to say, maybe to this child, you know, So I love working with parents and consulting with them on that. I also do couples because, you know what you guys, you know, any kind of partnership in the home, traditional or not, I'm passionate about leadership in the home. And if the. The partners in the household aren't on the same page, this creates a compound effect in the children that they carry on. And this is why generational shit can show up. This is why if you don't repair it, you repeat it. So working alongside couples of any sort is something I'm super passionate about. Had I had this information, you know, in my marriage, would it have turned out differently? I probably wouldn't have married the person I did, you know, and I would have operated at a healthy level and probably attracted somebody different. Not that he's a bad person at all. He's a great person. But there's a reason why our dysfunctions met. You know, we both had parts in that. But knowing what I know now and in the relationships I'm in now, I'm a way more effective partner. And I am able to support in a way that isn't me just being in my eight flex. And I have the ability to bring out the best in them in a way that's supportive and safe. Can you imagine partnerships in your household? If you can, really, even though you could be very, very different, which is usually the case, there are very few that are the same enneagram type. My daughter is an exception to that. Her and her partner, who she'll probably marry are the same Enneagram type. But very often we have somebody who's different than us and that is fun and exciting and we can learn from each other. And it's also the source of conflict when there's misunderstandings and, and having this tool and knowing how to implement it into all relationships will allow you to be a better partner, spouse, parent without all that extra conflict that's unnecessary. I mean healthy conflict is definitely great and good for growth, but an unnecessary conflict is an energy vampire and we don't need that. And I also have been working with families with teenagers and 20 somethings. You know, I have two children in their 20s, they're 24 and 25 and it is a sweet spot. And Most of those 20 somethings are raised by Gen Xers like myself, right? If you're a Gen Xer, you know what I'm talking about. It's like 1982 to like 1967. If you're born in any of those years, I think you qualify as a Gen Xer. I could be off on those dates, but you know what I mean. And so Most of these 20 somethings are raised by Gen Xers. And being a Gen Xer, most of us didn't have parents that most, not all, but most of us didn't have parents that were exposed to, believed in personal development. In fact, most of our parents like didn't even want to talk about therapy or counseling. That was like a taboo subject and if you were doing that there was something terribly wrong. And we grew up in the households that like what happens in our house stays in our house. And so we weren't exposed to a lot of that kind of development. So these 20 somethings are being raised by first generation personal developers or maybe you haven't even ventured into it. But you see like how I was raised, even though they did the best they could, it's not going to work for the way the world is today and the children that I have with everything that they're exposed to. So bringing me in as somebody who you know, blazed the trail as a Gen Xer in my home and you know, I have the receipts to prove like, you know, I didn't always get this right the first half of my children's life. I was a great tactical mom, but I wasn't well rounded in the nurturing department. I really, really wasn't. And you know, really harnessing the beautiful power and tool that the Enneagram is has not only changed everything in my household, but I've been really able to Meet and speak at a level with my adult children in a way that has made them better critical thinkers, more confident, self assured, have healthy boundaries, know what they're worth. It's so fucking beautiful, let me tell you. So working with families, with teenagers, teenagers and 20somethings, I'm obsessed with. I love teenagers. They love me. A lot of times I'll get a mom or a dad that want me to do the workshop and I ask them, I'm like, is your teenager or 20 something excited to do this or annoyed? And sometimes they're annoyed. Yep, sometimes they are. And it's so cool when I get on the call or a zoom or in person with a teenager, they realize, oh, this is something really, really great. And the teenagers love working with me. So if you have a family and you realize that, like, ugh, I'm not getting it right, I don't know how to do it right or something's not working, or I just want to enhance what I already am doing. You know that you've got someone special in your grip and they're different than you. I mean, my daughter is the number one reason why I took the Enneagram further than my first initial meeting with it. Because I recognized I had a free spirit that's very different than me. And I knew my tendency was to lead her the way that I would be led. And I knew that that would not only drive a wedge between us, but she would seek understanding outside of herself. And I didn't want that for her. I wanted to be that safe place for her. And, you know, I'm happy to report. Report. She's almost 26 years old and God, she's my greatest teacher. So if you need help with that, that's something pretty cool. Now, I know I titled this, like how this can 10x your business performance, but when your home life is feeling fulfilled and you feel like you're getting it right, everything about your life is enhanced, including the way that you show up in the workplace as the leader of the group or, you know, as somebody that's being led. It's great. Okay, now, one of the other cool sweet spots that I have, if you are a coach, I have been doing a lot of this. A lot of this is bringing me in as a specialty person. A lot of you maybe run masterminds or VIP days or, you know, retreats. Bringing me in is a great gift to give your client and you can build this into your pricing. Seriously, not only is this a beautiful gift for your client, you're going to get Insight and consulting from me on how to help them best as their coach. And you know what that means is you're able to move the needle. You will get referrals from them, you will get resigning of them, you will get testimonials that are sparkling because you are able to actually help them. It's one thing to like, like I knew how to lead eights no problem. Tell an 8 to flex and no problem. Like of course we're going to move the needle. But like let's just be real. Gravity was already in mot ocean in that one. I just kind of gave him a shove down the hill. Right? But the real flex is when you are able to coach somebody very, very different than you in a way that is sustainable, goes the distance, isn't just for a short season. That is how you get next level testimonials, repeat business and referrals and you won't have to market yourself as much. I am marketing myself in air quotes a lot less. I am on air quote social media a lot less these days because of the hefty referrals I am getting doing this kind of work. So if you are a coach, you know a lot of times when, when somebody starts working with me or and they're a coach and they want to know how to learn the Enneagram and, and you absolutely can learn the Enneagram. You absolutely can and it's great. But if you have a, a zone of genius, like learning the Enneagram is going to distract you and pull you away from your zone of genius. Like leave it up to me. I've been not only studying this but integrating it for a decade. This is my zone. Let me come in and make this a hell of a lot easier on you. And quite honestly it's because I've been integrating and building this muscle for 10 years is why I can move that needle and help you and help them as fast as I do. You just learning the Enneagram until you're in this, you know, the gym, so to speak, adding resistance and working this muscle. It's going to take you a lot longer to really help with the tool of the Enneagram. I mean you can absolutely a little bit of understanding. I have plenty of clients that have enough understanding to get by. But having the expert on speed dial is something that's super valuable. It proves very effective for the way that you're able to help your client move the needle. And like, like I said, this goes into network marketing, it goes into professional coaching. One on one coaching VIP days, Masterminds. I love when you have a mastermind, let's say. And you know, let's say it's six months or a year long having me type everybody properly and then being on standby for you as the facilitator. Because there are a lot of times if you're facilitating a mastermind, let's say you have 20 people or 10 people or 5 people in it. You know, there are certain people that you'll gravitate to and you'll be able to support them better. And then there'll be those that fall through the cracks and maybe even you get a shitty review or a complaint or whatever that looks like, or you feel like maybe you couldn't do for them the way that you wanted to. Imagine having somebody help you, help everyone effectively and helping them in a way where they can harness each other in a mastermind. I have helped many masterminds every year that they run it. I know I have three or four of them that I have been four years in a row at the front end, beginning of the Mastermind. Although it's a gift for each person in the Mastermind, it's really a gift for you, the facilitator. So if that's something you do, I promise you there will be more word of mouth about your mastermind. There will be more buzz and excitement around Your mastermind, which 10 x's your business, bottom line, and the performance. And you're gonna have a fucking blast doing it. You're gonna feel like, yeah, this is what I was made for. This is why having the right Enneagram expert and coach, not just the information teacher, but like the person that has used it in all areas of not only her own life, but has helped thousands and thousands and thousands of people with all parts of their life, personally and professionally. This is why I am so passionate about what I do. Seriously, I am so excited. My calendar is getting full fast.
