Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of the Leadership Formula Podcast. And we are kicking off this series with the Enneagram Ones. And you listened last week on the ins and outs of kind of the heart and soul and what it is like to be a One. And although I can give you the facts and the information, I'm not an Enneagram One and I have been transparent in the past that I love that we're kicking off the series with the Ones because it is the type I do personally struggle with the most. Probably because of the Ones I've had in my life have been very challenging to me and are quite honestly not here for personal development. So I've seen the darker side of Ones on a firsthand basis and so I am so excited to bring you my all time favorite enneagram1 because of her humbleness, her willingness. She came to me at a time that was really challenging in her life. We're about the same age so she's starting to get taste of what real empty nesting feels like. And you know, she's a mom, she's a business owner, she's a wife, she's a hell of a human being. And what I've seen her do just in the time that we've spent together over the last two years, there's nobody else I would have brought to represent the heart and the soul of the Enneagram One. So if you are like me and can't always see past sometimes their black and white thinking, their harsh criticism that some of them are a little bit more aggressive with or just even the undertone of, you know, you can't live up to their standards so you kind of like check out on them. I want you you to know that the Enneagram Ones really are the integrity champions of the Enneagram. They are the high standards. They make us all better. And when they have the ability to really kind of lighten up and find their own free spirit in themselves. That's when their messaging and their gifts really come to fruition. And I gotta say, Amy, Lindsay has provided that in my life when I had kind of low key, written off most of the Enneagram ones that I've ever known and, you know, roll my eyes at if I'm in true transparency. She has shown me the other way and I can't wait for you guys to meet her. So, Amy, hi. Thanks for being here. Beautiful soul.
Thank you for inviting me.
Oh my gosh, like I told you, we. I wish we had been recording the last 30 minutes. We were catching up because I hadn't talked to her in a while other than like, you know, here and there on Instagram, you know, in the DMs. But I was excited to see, you know, where are they now? You know, it's been probably over a year since we actually did work work together, right?
Yes, it's been over a year. And like I said earlier, that work, if I just had you in my hip pocket, I can hear what you've said to me, I can hear your words and even just the nuggets that you gave earlier when we were talking. I mean, it changes lives. It simply can change your life. Yeah.
So one of the, you know, and I like thinking back on our time together. I was hard on you. I was really hard on you. And obviously the intention was pure love, which is something that we touched on because you as an Enneagram one, you have such high standards and you can be a hard driver as well. Our delivery is obviously very different. Right. But what was it in your life that made you ready to not be so in that black and white thinking because you knew, like, it wasn't helping the situation. Where were you in your life, what was going on and what was missing, would you say?
Yeah, well, relationships are super important to me. And especially, you know, close relationships, your family or whatever. And Tracy, when I first reached out to you, I thought I was going to do a business thing. You know, it's like, oh, just sign up. I'll do this as a business thing and kind of know how I can whatever, improve in that. And then it just led to my family and I personally was struggling with really kind of trying to control the family in a way as well as my relationship with, you know, one of my daughters. As we shared it just. It was non existent and that was breaking my heart. So that's what brought me to an area where I Was like, I've, I've got to fix this. That's not what I had anticipated for any relationship in my life, let alone someone I love so much. So that brought me to the point of like, oh, I really need to share this with you. I need to. And the questions that you asked, it just kept leading to more family relationships and I needed to improve that. It was, it just wasn't that great.
So I love that you, I love that you said that originally you reached out for business because that is what most people end up like pulling the trigger on me for, with me for is. Well, because I can do that. But as you quickly found out, where we are personally in our lives and the, the relationships, the most intimate relationships in our life, which is the people we and the people that we raise. Right. And if there's something off the mark there, it affects the business and it doesn't even matter.
Right, Exactly. Totally. Yeah.
So what would you say to the person that's listening, that thinks like, well, if I just get this business part right, everything will fall into place, or if I make more money, this will fall into place. Or can you look back now and see where maybe that was a cover, whether you were conscious of it or not?
Oh, yeah, for sure. I mean, I'm an architect and so I work with a lot of different clients, different personalities from contractors to, you know, your client, from a residential to commercial. So anyway, I have a knack, I can say, and maybe that's just a gift that the relationships that we have with all of those different personalities and characters is joyful for me to do and I enjoy it and, and it's usually pretty successful. I mean, I have fun, I have fun on the site or with it, but I could tell my joy of doing that was on the diminishing side because I was hurting inside. I was hurting because of, you know, my relationship either with my daughter or I was self sabotaging myself because I, I wasn't doing as good as I thought I should be doing in, in any area of my life. And then I've got a work partner who I love and cherish and believe it or not, she's a one. I know, working together girl, that's crazy. But we're ones. But we're a different, very different, a very different feel and we're complementary ones, which is crazy. But I knew there was a joy and there were some things missing and I needed to get my crap straight up. I needed to fix things, I needed to work, work on myself. And I just Needed to focus on myself for a hot second, to make things, you know, see what kind of improvements I could do in relationships that I was. I was really hurting. I was hurting.
And I think that this message for if you are listening and you are an Enneagram one, or if somebody is listening that loves or leads an Enneagram one, this is probably the most pivotal moment for an Enneagram One is letting the guard down and showing the kinks in the armor, so to speak. Because the Enneagram one is motivated by a strong desire to be good and right. And there is no gray area with that. If they're not good, they're horrible. If they're not right, they're incredibly wrong and, like, at the bottom of the barrel. So when they're not feeling confident in an area of their life, either they're going to project onto you or they're going to guard it like their life depends on it. And so this was the pivotal moment for you in knowing. So this is important for those of you that aren't ones that love or lead them. I had to be a safe enough place without judgment for you to open up and say, this is what's really happening.
Yeah. I mean, even after one of our conversations, you were giving amazing advice, and I. I was really having a hard time. I was like, oh, my gosh, I can't do that. I don't think I can do that. And I even went downstairs and. And my husband could see it because I. I looked broken. Usually, I've got it all together. House is looking good. I try to look as good as I can, you know, on a. On a daily.
You do, and you do just doing all the things.
Because I think presentation is such a huge key to just any kind of goodness in life. But he was like, what happened? I'm like, oh, this is challenging me. I don't know if I can do this. You know, And. And so anyway, it just.
Do you remember what the advice was off the top of your head?
Yeah. You. You had actually said, you know, cut her off.
Oh, that's just.
I'm like, I'm already cutting her. I already felt like that relationship was cut off, but I'm like, how can I do that? I can't do that. But you said it in a. In a way that it wasn't so much like, cut her out of your shirt, but let her show. You know, you need to feel she. Anyway, I can't even describe it, but I remember the cut her off part. I was like, ugh, that Put a lump in my throat.
And not only because you are a beautiful, caring person, but also especially for an Enneagram one. If, If I do that and that's not successful, what does that say about me?
For sure, everything I feel like reflects on me on any. Anything that comes out of my own house, whether it's my child, my dog, my cat, anything. I don't have a cat, sorry, my dogs. It reflects on. Sure how I'm raising them. And you know, and you're right, Ones have such high expectations, not only on yourself, but you do. You put those on the.
And you have certain ways that work for you and you think, oh, well, that should work for you and you and you. And that's where I was getting into trouble. I was putting that on other people in what I thought was a loving way. It's just not everybody thinks that way. Not everybody thinks like I do.
Well, the. And this is something we were talking about before, and this is, you know, just listening to you reveals to me why I have struggled with ones is because you are probably more than any other type, the biggest mirror for me, even though it's a little bit different in the motive. Like, I have the same problem. Like, I want to build my kids to be strong and powerful where you want yours to be right and good. Very similar. But what happens is, even though there's nobody better at the high standards, the high integrity than you, and I mean, I challenge anybody to be as strong as me in a lot of areas.
When we project that stuff specifically onto our kids or the people that we're leading, if they don't feel like they're ever going to be able to meet that expectation, they withdraw from us and we create division. It's what happened with your daughter. It's what started to happen with my kids. It's happened with a lot of my friendships, quite honestly, and not an easy moment.
It isn't. And like I said, I don't remember how. Maybe it was with Jill Herman, a good friend of mine here in Fort Wayne. Love her. She was doing a brand new journey in life and she started bu podcast. And all of us that knew her were like, we're gonna listen to that podcast. We're on this. And so that's how I learned about your name, Tracy. So that was kind of the. The first nugget of enneagrams or thinking about outside of what. What I've always kind of perceived, you know, for living. And so that was a very. That was. That's. I mean, God knew I Needed that. He was like, there's a person and I'm going to start feeding you some information and Because I want to be resourceful and learn. I mean, I, I did. I was like, okay, I have to be intentional and figure this out because there are life changing educational things that I need to know and learn from. Enneagram.
I love that you brought this up too because you are a faith filled and faith driven woman and so am I. I am a very edgy version of that. I like to cuss. I like to. I mean, I'm very edgy, but I am one of the most.
Yeah.
But like it would be very easy for a faith filled woman and I've seen a lot of them that aren't as humbled as you have been because on paper everything for your life looked absolutely fine. Nobody would ever say, girl, you need some help.
Right.
But you knew. You knew. And to honor that call is. And, And I'm not. I mean, I'm not easy.
Yeah.
Not easy. So I, I want to continuously honor your faith filled steps that you had. It was very, very foggy.
Yeah.
And especially in this journey with me.
It is. And one thing I, I'm just. My daughter really felt like I was pretty judgmental and it made, and it made me think like, well, I don't mean to be judgmental. I just have core values. The things that I know that I'm going to live for my life. But she was just in a space, in a place too that it was hard for her to kind of see past anything as well. We both had work to do. Sure. And are continuing to work. I just love where it's growing and going. It's. It's beautiful and it is, It's God ordained, I believe. And I know things will continue to grow.
I mean, you got a daughter like I did that is very different from you and I. Yeah. And it's my oldest as well. And I knew in order for her to be the strongest version of whoever God designed her to be, it's completely different than me.
Yeah.
But the greatest shot she had at that was to reveal more vulnerably who I am and where I've been in my life to her to build that trust and credibility so that she knew, like, even though sometimes my delivery is still kind of harsh, it's not coming from judgment ever.
Exactly. Exactly.
I've seen you do that with your daughter and you know. Yeah.
It's.
She's at that age where she still wants autonomy and freedom. But I promise you this. I Can't wait to hear where you and she are in two, three years from now.
Yeah, for sure.
You're going to be so close. I have been transparent.
Very much so. And our conversations that we have is like, If I were 21 and had that conversation with my mom, I would have been blown away, like, oh, wow. Oh, I don't know, it was just. And we are more alike than we thought, which was really fantastic to talk about. And then the fact that for me there's also, you know, you talk about the faith base. I think forgiveness is a huge key. And of course I've asked, you know, will you forgive me for, you know, just to say to the audience, never anything I did was wrong. It was just. I kind of just raised in that way of that one way that enneagram1. And I thought, what's funny is I self diagnosed myself, Tracy. Before that I think we talked about that. I thought I was a two because I, I like to serve and do all the, you know, and. But afterwards I was like, no, I'm definitely, definitely a one. And being the nine wing with the peacemaker, it just, it just pegged me perfectly. But anyway, just being able to go back and talk to her about like our personalities and different things and ask for forgiveness and it might take her time, I mean, still, yet she even has said this will take me time and you don't.
And ones typically don't like hearing that. They're like, I want this fixed now and I want to know that I can move forward and all's good.
Yes. And you know what I said, Tracy, and I thought of you too. I said, you have my lifetime. I said, you have my lifetime to come to a place where you have, have true forgiveness because, because to me, I'm not forgiveness. But you have let that go, right? Because that's something that she holds on to. I mean, as soon as that's let go, there is a freedom of forgiveness that forgiveness brings, I think. And so I'm just, I am so proud of you.
What a beautiful thing. Because so often we ask for forgiveness with a contingency. We want a contingency. And that's not how it works.
It doesn't and it can't. And, and for me to say that, I was just like, wow, we're not resolving this right now. I can't check this off, you know, Bingo.
But I once again I had to go back to the nuggets that I got from you and from prayer and different things to say, you know, a one has to Step away from herself and just take a hot minute and just say, wait a minute. Think about other people and their personalities and what they're needing. Yeah.
And how they receive.
How they receive and respond.
Because you and I said earlier, like, everything I've ever done as a mother, as a friend, you have too, has never not come from a place of love and care.
Exactly. Right.
But if we miss the mark on, you know, the what's in it for them piece, and especially when we're dealing with friends, business partners, children, spouses that are wired very differently.
Yes.
If we're only operating in how we receive it and how we would want to, but we're dealing with people that are different. No matter how much love and pure intention is on our heart, it's never going to be received like that.
It is not. It is not, period. Ever. I mean, and a simple example of that is, you know, working with a one. Yeah, this is a great example. I'm on vacation and she's like, you know, hey, I'm going to take care of this, this, and this. So, I mean, we have to say what we're going to do. If not, we feel like we're out either outdoing someone and don't mean to be, but we're always doing something to help the other person. So we're on vacation and our family is. And she goes, I've got this taken care of. And what do I do? I answer an email that she just said and she texted me. She goes, did I not say that I would take care of this? And oh, my gosh, I was like, you did? Sorry. Stepping back.
Your ego took over.
Yeah. Moving back, setting back. And, and I'm like, why did it? But what's so lovely is she gets it because we both, we both understand each other. But I needed that accountability. I needed, I need her, like, step out of the way, please. Go vacate. That's why you left.
Go relax and let me take care of what I do.
In the past, the two of you, that was a, an issue for, like the, the two bulls kind of poking horns at each other.
Sure. Yeah. We have to make sure we know what our roles are. And sometimes it's a daily thing, like, what is our role today? We don't step on each other. And, man, when we go two ones full force, we get a lot done.
I, I, you know, there are days, gosh darn it, I wish I was wired like you guys, because you're, you know, my son, even though he's a two, he leans Heavy, heavy, heavy. One wing. My goodness. Like people of your word. When you say you're going to do something, you do it. And you like, not just do it, but at a level of excellence.
Yeah.
That most of us wish we even remotely had an ounce of. You're meticulous.
We are meticulous and we always want to go over and beyond and make sure we communicate everything. And communication is a huge key. Yeah. For what we do in our roles. And. Yeah.
And where this is important for a one is to understand. And just like I, I find myself in judgment, low key of other people. You know, I compartmentalize people into like, are they weak or they strong? Period. End of story. That's my black and white thinking.
It's like, yeah, exactly.
And I can end up like judging people if I'm not careful. Like not even consciously. It's just like categorized immediately. Where you guys can do that too. Because you operate at such high levels of excellence. If you see people that drop the ball or miss a mark, like, oh, I'm better than them and, and not even meaning to.
Well, you question like, why can't you respond? Or why can't you get it together? You just don't. And it's just a natural.
Right.
It's just a natural character. You just can't help it. It's like, well, why can't they do that?
And when we're in judgment, which I can be, you can be. When we're in that judgment, we miss the miracle that can happen in the beautiful learning experience that we learn from the daughters like you and I got. And had we not dropped the armor and been so. Continue to be so rigid and innocently.
Yeah.
And what was modeled for us, plus our natural wiring. I guarantee Macy and Casey, Casey's, yours are like single handedly our two greatest teachers.
Totally. I would agree, 100%.
That wouldn't have happened without us dropping the armor.
No, you have to drop the armor. I, I actually went and was cleaning out. You know, I had another daughter just get dropped off to school and she's a total different personality and it's. And I'm, I'm learning all these things, but I was, I was looking for something because Mallory was like, hey, can we take this to college? I'm like, yeah, I think it's in Macy's drawer. And I had a paper that I had given to, you know, my oldest daughter. And I opened it up and I was like, oh my gosh. Well, first of all, she kept it, which blew my mind. But it was from 4am to 10am all the things that she could do in the exact hour.
Wow.
That I gave to her thinking I personally thought that would help. And I looked at that and I. I folded it back the way it was and put it in the drawer just like she had it. I'm like, she didn't throw it away. She didn't burn it. She didn't whatever. But she. She's like, that's not me. And I saw that and that's me. I can do that because that's the way I roll. But I was like, oh, I'm sorry. But I thought it would be. And it was like, you at the end, I'm like, I love you. You got this. You can do this. That did all these great things. But I'm like, who wants to get up at whatever and check every single moment off of your day when that's not the way you roll?
One of the things as a mom, and I know that you're experiencing this now is especially with kids. I mean, you have three very dynamic kids that are all very different from each other. And you. That when we see, hear, understand, and value them, and this goes in any kind of leadership, not just as a mom, but whenever we really, without any kind of manipulation, subconsciously.
Right.
Really, truly see here, understand and value people and our children for who they are. What happens is, is they recognize the skill sets that we bring to the table and they're more open to our wisdom. Because I can meet my Casey and say, well, if you did this, if you did this. And that, like, her free spirit is like, that's a big hell no for me.
Exactly.
And I'm going to be the last person she asks advice to if she doesn't feel like I truly. Like, why would I give that advice to somebody like her? Don't you see?
Hello. Right.
And I'm sure Macy was like, this is great. But, like, not for me.
Not me. No. That just threw me. Yeah. That just threw me out. Yeah, I love that.
But because you are speaking to your kids for who they are today.
Yeah.
This, this is the beautiful part of when they're in their. The twenties are my favorite, like, parenting, because I'm seeing the value of really dropping down my own expectations.
And let my kids be my kids.
Yes.
Not only have I learned and grown as a human being because of that, but I am their first call if they ever need wisdom.
Isn't that. Yeah. And isn't that what any parent would want?
That would have never happened 10 years ago. Not A shot in hell.
Yeah. You know, you dream that as a parent, you want that to happen and you want to enjoy those relationships and. And I think, you know, taking that armor down and just letting them be them and you. There. There is a. There's a freedom to that.
And my God, there is.
There's a freedom. And I didn't know. I didn't realize how it would feel. You know, it's like, oh, and asking what their opinion is. I mean, you know, it was. It was easy when they're kids, you know, you put them in a carry or do that. They're doing everything that you want to do, you know, in your timing. And when, you know, they do their own thing and they're successful at all, they do. It's just very enjoyable. And there's a freedom. They've got it. If they need something, they know our number. They know where their home is. But so the growth.
The growth number of the Enneagram one is the Enneagram seven, which is so funny. Like, every time, like the one sees like the seven, you go from, like, this reformer perfectionist to this end enthusiast free spirit. Like, it's a big stretch.
Yes.
And, like, if you're left to your own default of oneness, that's never going to happen. And I love that you brought up the wings earlier. So as a one, you have the ability to tap into the two, which you do pretty well as a mom, specifically, and as a wife, but you also have that beautiful Yoda 9 wing as well. So how do you, like if you have moments in your life where you want to default to one, but, you know, like, that's not the right tool for this job. How do you beautifully and elegantly use your 2 and 9 to kind of lean more into that 7, which is. I hear it in you so much.
Yeah.
Any, like, case specifics for the ones listening or the people that lead them?
Yeah. And I think I'm hoping it'll become more natural. Right now, right now it's very intentional. It has to be intentional. And mainly I'm working on my seven with, you know, definitely my children, but they're kind of doing their own thing. So I'm working on the seven side, like, even with my husband, and he's an eight, if that helps with anything. So you. You could relate to him. Yeah. Welcome to our sergeant household. But. But being intentional with. And I think because I am, like, I'm 53, I want to do more things. I want to relax more. I have to be more spontaneous and just Let things happen. And when I say intentional, like, I'll have to say, I'm going to carve out some time to relax or say, I'm going to go and do this and not feel guilty about it, that I'm not accomplishing something at that very moment. So when we were at the beach, that was probably my very first year, that I didn't even pull my computer out. That's. That's pretty darn huge. And it had to be intentional. I take it back. I pulled it out once, but, I mean, it was for an answer. But other than that, I did not get up every morning and do a little bit of this. And. And it was so nice. I got to see sunrises that I didn't see before because I was working or on my computer. And so to make it intentional, like, I'm going to go do this, it was refreshing. I had moments that gave me chills, and I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't intentional. And you begin to love those moments of being free and more free spirit, more what the word is.
Well, we find this ability because I can be very much like you guys, you and your husband. It's like we got crap to do, blinders on. But we miss the miracles. And I think at the ages that you and I are at, and our kids, we realize how fast it goes and how many things we've maybe missed along the way, and we don't want another day to go with that. And if we're so armored up, we're going to miss those.
We do. We miss them. And. Yeah, so right now it's more of an intentional thing. And I think as we relax, go sit outside, go with a friend and get a drink, go. I mean, do it sporadically or. Or stop by somebody's house and, like, who does that anymore? But when you do that, it's incredible what happens. Like, oh, I didn't know you were stopping by. Well, I really didn't either. But, I mean, but there was. There was a reason for that stop by. You know, I mean, there's just nothing's coincidental either. Even if you are intentional about things, nothing in life is a coincidence. And I believe everything is just there's a great plan and journey out there for all of us, and we just don't want to miss it. And I'm realizing I don't want to miss anything. I don't want to miss those moments. I. Yeah.
And when we operate in that free will too much, like, we take the faith out of those Steps that have been ordered sometimes for sure. What would be the number one advice you would give for? I know I have a lot of enneagram1 listeners that are listening right now that really have a hard time dropping the armor or letting go of the righteousness or the black and white thinking. What would be the first and most important advice you would give to a fellow Enneagram one that might be, you know, in this perfectionism prison?
Yeah, you guys, she didn't give me these questions before, so just give me.
There's no right or wrong here.
Yeah. I'm thinking for me is recognizing how we act and how we live really affects other people around you. It's a very strong character. And so I think as a one. As I even like enter a room or do anything, you know, before some people might leave. Yes, I really. And now it's just like, no, they're not leaving because they already know. Oh, man. Mom's got an expectation for me, or if I walk, you know, whatever, and. Or she's going to say for me to do this or do that, and now it's not. When you let that go, it brings a freshness to the space, to your life, you know, And I'm kind of goofy anyway. I. I've got a side to me that's just kind of. I say crazy things and stupid things and I don't mean to. And it just. And it seems like a lot of it is sexual and I didn't even know that's what it meant. But I mean, you know, just allowing to be a little more free and all of that. It just recognize what. What people do when you come into a room.
That's beautiful. I used to get off on people leaving the room because I knew, like, that meant they were afraid of me. And, you know, as the eight in me, it's like, oh, they know that I'm the strongest person. Yeah. But like. Like my ego loved it, but my soul felt so lonely. And I know, like, for an Enneagram one, it can feel like there's people all around and I feel all alone.
Yeah.
I love that advice. That's beautiful. Okay, so for those that are listening that love lead care about an Enneagram one. What would be the best advice you could give them that would open up a deeper connection and a greater understanding between any other type and an Enneagram one? What's the most misunderstood thing that you feel?
I think, like I said, I'm learning this. I think it's the judgment side. An Enneagram one For me, I can portray to be very judgmental maybe, but really not. It's a different. I'm very open and maybe that's just my heart in general. But even though I stand very strong for how I feel or do things, I'm not being as judgmental or critical to how someone else does it. But they might think that that's what I'm thinking and that's not. Ones are so freaking busy in their minds trying to. We're not selfish, but we're always trying to make things perfect. Everything around us that we really aren't really trying. We don't have time to be judgmental sometimes. But yeah. Does that make sense? Yes.
So if and one of the other eight types is feeling like you're being a little Judge Judy, like instead of just writing you off or avoiding you, which typically happens when any other types feel A1 is doing that, what would be a way that could maybe get clarification without you backing up on your heels and getting defensive?
I think maybe being vocal for me as a one to kind of be a little more vocal and in tune to the people around and kind of kind of express that you're enjoying who they are and how they are and how they're created sometimes maybe I don't say it, but it's like I would not want a bunch of ones or me's around. I love the variety of others and other personalities. And I would never say it and somebody might think, oh, they don't want to be around me because I'm different. But that's just the opposite. Yeah, it really is the opposite. Like I feed off of different races, the way people do things differently. I love that because I think because I'm so structured on my own and I like who I am and I stand for how I feel and believe, but I still love the variety of life. I mean, that's what God created. All different things. So we can all enjoy that. And I think if we. We as a one, like if you knew that that's the way we feel inside, it's not so much judgmental. We're going to stand strong for who we are, but yet we. I, I do. I appreciate.
Me too.
All kinds. All kinds. And all too.
I think it's so beautiful when we can not only like honor who we are.
Yeah, right.
But also open our minds and our hearts to the divine plan that has been executed with all the different kinds of people that we meet along the way on our journey.
Yeah, I mean, I just.
So good. So good.
Yeah. It is good stuff, right?
What are you going to take forward in what, you know, as you move into this next phase of your life as a semi empty nester, reconnecting with your husband, business owner. We're stepping into our greatness in our 50s. Like what do you see happening for you next or what are you going to take with you?
First of all, I just feel like, you know, they talk about golden years and I want to say these are going to be the golden years. I mean, they're going to start earlier and I'm excited about just kind of loosening up simply and enjoying enjoying where, you know, my kids have landed and you know, they're all starting new journeys, I think and they have different things and you know, still I really have to work on, you know, letting things go, you know, so I'm excited that I know that I've seen progress in the past couple years and the people around me have seen progress and verbally have said so. So that helps me know that, you know, I've done some of this homework and trying to make it my life better, me better each new day. But I need to just continue to work on that loosening up the seven side. And I look forward to that.
I love it, girl. You are one of my all time favorite coaching clients.
Seriously.
And I don't say that to everyone. You know, I wouldn't just say that, but I know you really do mirror a lot of areas of my life that I needed to be reflected back to me. And you're a beautiful example of that.
Thank you. And it takes good people to surround you that's accountable. I've got some really good people around me and I think we all need to surround ourselves around those that help better you and challenge you in the right direction. So I feel very blessed by that. You know, I've got a sister, I've got a friend, I've got a husband that all are so, so supportive along the way as we all try to improve. Right. You know, and I think the more.
That we can open up our heart and our mind and armor down, we will arm down.
I love that. I'm going to use. That's going to be my new, you know, phrase.
Yeah. I have no problem armoring up even with God's armor.
But like, oh, I say, well that for sure. Yeah.
The real flex is armor down. So that like that vulnerability is where connection happens. So girlfriend, I love you. I was so loved to have you on and representing the Enneagram ones of the world. I know that there are many out there really struggling with armoring down. And you're a beautiful example of what can happen when you continuously lean into the that and the faith of what that might look like on the other side. So thanks for being on honey.
Well, we appreciate your work and obedience to help others. Man, you're. You're killing it. Love it.
