Hey guys, welcome back to your daily self-love practice. My name is Vivek George, and today we're going to practice self-love like a CEO. So today's practice is about journaling our emotions, to tap deep inside ourselves and to just write out on paper or on a computer or wherever you can what you're feeling, what emotions are going through you right now with What deep thoughts are maybe causing some anxiety or stress? Or if you're feeling good, even share that, put that out. You know, taking some of these thoughts out of our heads and putting it somewhere on paper or on a computer somewhere else frees us, gives us space to just be, to just be at peace, to just be joyful instead of floating in our heads over and over and over again. And that is a beautiful practice of self-love. If I know of any practice about self-love, this is certainly one of those. And self-love and working on our self-belief, our confidence, is so important. And so many executives and CEOs of the past and the present have talked about it. And in preparation for this video, I found a few that I thought were totally indicative of this idea. So the first one comes from the famed investor Warren Buffett. He said, the most important investment you can make is in yourself. And for sure, I'm sure he means partly, you know, going to schools and learning skills and all that stuff, but it's also about believing in ourselves and working on practicing and growing. That's a part of investing in ourselves. I think maybe the most important investment in ourselves. Because if we are successful, we do make money, we, we get different accolades, we're going to be like a ship that has holes in it. Sooner or later, we're good— the ship's gonna go down. It's just because if we don't believe in ourselves, we're not on firm footing, firm ground. The next quote is from Steve Jobs, the late Steve Jobs. He said, Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. So a different take on self-love and self-belief, you know. If— yes, it's important to listen to others' opinions, but if we don't believe in ourselves, we don't have enough self-worth, we're going to let other people's opinions just drown out our own inner voice, our own inner thoughts. You know, and so it's important to build up that confidence so that we don't let our own voice disappear in the crowd. And the last one is from Ginni Rottenmich. She is the former CEO of IBM. She said, growth and comfort don't coexist. And if you're watching this video, you're probably somebody who is working on Growing, working on developing different skills internally, trying to be a better person, a different, better man or woman. And as you're doing that, I'm sure you're feeling uncomfortable at times. I certainly am. And I think it's important that while we want to become better people and to love ourselves more, we have to also be ready to feel uncomfortable at times. It's an important reflection, but it's also good to realize that, yeah, I'm uncomfortable because I'm growing, and I should actually probably appreciate that, uh, celebrate that, because that's a sign that I'm doing the work. Awesome, guys. Cool. So before we get started with the journaling, we're going to journal for 3 minutes, but before we do, we're going to do a quick check-in, how we're feeling now and how we're gonna feel, how we feel after we've done the practice. So I'm feeling a little anxious, I guess. Um, yesterday was a pretty raw day for me. I wasn't feeling my, um, best. I was actually feeling pretty low. I guess that happens, you know, that's part of life, right? And so I'm feeling a little raw, a little sensitive. I decided to take some of that stuff that's in my head and put it on paper and to do this practice with all of you. So let's see how it goes. And yourselves, how you feeling? Let's take a deep breath in together and to reflect on that feeling. Awesome. Cool. 3 minutes. I'll set the timer and then we will get started. Cool. Okay, minute 40. Dig deep, guys, dig deep. 20 seconds. Let's wrap up soon, guys. Okay, that's it. Great. How'd that go? I'll share a little bit of mine just so you have some picture of what I was writing. I said, um, I was feeling a bit raw after yesterday. I'm not sure where this journey will take me. I'm not sure if I'm going in the right direction. Definitely feeling a bit anxious, but better because of— as I'm journaling. I'm a good person. I'm fine just as I am. Some more stuff. I won't bore you guys, but yeah, that was good. If you feel like sharing what you wrote in the comments, please do so. I would love to read them. And if this video was helpful, consider liking it. It would be really helpful for me. But if you need a little bit more practice in regards to self-love, check out the video over here. Okay, have a great day and don't forget to love yourself. Take care.
