In this short daily self‑love video, Vivek George opens with a quote from psychologist Robert Holden—“your relationship with yourself sets the tone for every other relationship you have”—and uses it to frame a discussion about the importance of self‑relationship. He distinguishes genuine self‑worth from cockiness, emphasizing that self‑love is about recognizing an innate, natural value rather than over‑compensating. Drawing on his own ongoing journey, he shares how cultivating self‑belief reduces the need to over‑think others’ opinions and allows him to be present without constant self‑doubt. The core practice for this episode is a “treat yourself” exercise: he plans to step out for a coffee and pastry (or any activity that feels indulgent yet aligned with personal health goals) and encourages viewers to choose their own simple, enjoyable act—whether a treat, a walk in nature, a movie, reading, or time with friends. He includes a brief check‑in (feeling good, relaxed) and a minimal checkout, then asks viewers to comment on what they did, like, and subscribe, reinforcing the message that regular, even brief, self‑care moments nurture healthier relationships with others.

Hey guys, welcome back to another day in this daily self-love practice. My name is Vivek George, if you don't know me, and every day we do a different self-love practice to make sure to cultivate more self-worth and self-belief. And by showing up every day doing different practices for ourselves, just for ourselves, in time we'll grow in our confidence and our self-belief. Uh, and so the way these videos usually go is I start off with a little quote or an idea to reflect on, well, as we do this practice and for the rest of the day. And today's quote is from the author and psychologist Robert Holden. He said, your relationship with yourself sets the tone for every other relationship you have. And I think that's so true. If we, if we don't love ourselves, if we don't care for ourselves, then we sort of look at the world through that lens. You know, it's like if you're wearing dark lenses, you know, you sort of see the world more dark, dark shaded. And that's the same thing, is if we don't love ourselves, then we really doubt the nature of the relationships we're having with others and that we might have to do more for that person because we're not good enough. Or, you know, if we don't think we're great, then you might think that people don't like us and that might impact how we are with those people. And we might be too needy, we might be too shy, all types of things. So while practicing self-love, it helps us believe in ourselves and just be calm and confident in ourselves. Not cocky. Sometimes people think that self-worth practices, self-belief practices will make us cocky. But the truth is, no, we're not trying to get cocky and overcompensate. We're just trying to know our natural self-worth. You know, that we're naturally born with. And when we're there, when we sort of get to a good state— I mean, it's a constant practice, you know, never there per se, it's like a constant journey. But as we grow and develop in that, there's sort of just a natural peace. That's what I've seen in my own life, you know. It's definitely— that's why I'm doing these videos still, is I definitely haven't reached a destination that I'm fully content with, I would say, and probably never will. But as I've grown in my self-belief and self-worth, it's, it's been nice to not feel like I have to overcompensate. And I don't always constantly doubt myself around others. I, I realize, okay, people probably like me, you know, and I, I, I can just be here, just be present, and that can be enough. And if that's not enough, okay, no big deal, you know, that person doesn't resonate with me. I don't need to resonate with everyone. And that's Okay, I'll resonate with the people that know and see my self-worth, and that'll be good, that'll be great. Because actually, you know, the people that don't resonate with me or don't understand my, my vibe or my— what I bring to the table, that probably would be very distracting and not beneficial for my life. So it's okay. Okay, so that's the quote of the day. It's: your relationship with yourself sets the tone for every other relationship you have. Cool. Okay, before we get into the practice, we just usually do a quick check-in, okay, how we feel before the practice, and then a check-out at the end. So today it's a little different than I usually do it. So the check-in, I'm just feeling good right now. I am feeling good, I'm feeling relaxed. It's a little bit of a foggy Sunday here in Lisbon, but all's good. And today's practice, unfortunately, we won't be able to really do it here. It's about treating yourself. Um, it's treating yourself to something nice. Uh, I was thinking something like a nice food that maybe you don't usually treat yourself to. So for me, I usually, uh, like to make coffee at home and have a croissant. I have, you know, something I make at home. But today I'm gonna go out, have a coffee, treat myself to a coffee outside, and and maybe it's a croissant or whatever nice pastry that the shop has. Uh, I'm looking forward to exploring and doing that for myself. So I would encourage all of you to do something similar if that feels aligned with maybe your health goals. If it's not, then maybe treat yourself to something else that you would like to. Maybe watching a movie, going to see a movie, uh, maybe taking some time for a walk or being in nature. Treat yourself to some time to read or, or just be with friends or something that you wouldn't normally do. Treat yourself to that if it really feels good. Okay, I think that's it for now. It's a really quick short video today, but don't— but take this, the time that I'm giving back in this video, to do that thing for yourself. Please do that, because once again, like Robert Holden said, you know, it's about that relationship with ourselves. And so if we don't make that time for ourselves, you know, every single day, even in just like 2, 3, 5 minutes, whatever it is, then, you know, we don't— or we're not able to come to the relationships in our— around us in a healthy way. Awesome, guys. Uh, not much of a checkout today, so, but please leave a comment on what you end up doing. I would love to hear about it. Let me know how your check-in is and, and let me know how it goes, whatever you end up doing. Either way, have a great day. If this video was helpful, please consider liking and subscribing to the channel. And don't forget to make sure to love yourself. Take care. Bye-bye.
