How to scale from $5K/month to $50K/month in 100 mins

William Brown coaches Joey on scaling his creator consulting business from £5-6K to £50K monthly. They redesign his pricing structure, fix his ideal client targeting, and add personalized outreach through video notes and refined content. The plan: better sales calls focused on value, a pre-call VSL, retargeting ads, and service tiers to capture more of the market.

Let's see how much we can solve today. So tell me a bit about like the business, the background, when you started it, that stuff.
Yeah, sure. So I essentially help content creators monetize their audience in the nicest and shortest way possible.
Yeah.
So anyone with an audience on Instagram. Mainly backgrounds, predominantly being YouTubers. Mm.
So help content creators to like monetize their audience.
Their audience by themselves, like not with external brands, with internal sort of ecosystem. So whether that be. It used to be physical products, events, but my transition is now more digital, digital programs, digital communities.
And you said mainly YouTube.
Like my case studies have all been YouTubers. So YouTube first. But as I've just like transitioned more into digital, anyone with a really cult audience. So it could be.
Do you work with. You don't work with new people, do you, with like small audiences?
I've started. I'm quite broad at the moment. So there's people like with 6 to 10k followers, let's say on Instagram, who are pulling better views than people with 100 to 500k followers, for instance. So I still open, I still have the conversation and I still pitch. I'm not really looking at a follow account as such.
Okay. Okay. Yeah. And how long have you been doing this for now?
Years.
Years.
Yeah. I've. I started back into 2019. 2020.
Oh, wow. You're damn. So like six, seven years.
Yeah. Yeah.
Where did the journey like begin?
Probably when I was like 12, 13.
Yeah.
Editing videos, graphic designs, anything in and around working with creators.
I was a nice. It's a. Sounds like a passion. Yeah, yeah, that's really good, man. I love it when people are really. Love what they do. Okay. And give me like your dream customer, man. If you could pluck a great customer, male, female, age, audience, platforms.
A dream customer, ideal customer. I would say YouTube first. So they are a YouTube creator. And I would also potentially say. I don't know, I don't know, I haven't put a name on it. But like, I just have a sense of like, I know when someone's got like a cult following. So like they might only have like 20K subscribers, but their comments are like, they're getting like 500 to a thousand comments. Like it's like an authentic audience.
So kind of, kind of like a. It's not about the number of followers, it's about the, the. The following, the depth of the following. Engagement.
Yeah. Which is not easy to decipher. Like it's. Yeah,
cult following helps.
Yeah.
Following. And what about like content creators? Like, is There any ones that are better, like fitness content, business content, E com content.
My. I would say from my past experience I've got a completely contrasting two case studies. I've got two big case studies that I've worked with like football content creators, two of the biggest in the uk. And then like I've got a group that basically going out to Ibiza, Marbella, Bali, getting girls, partying. So I've had a complete like contrast of people I've worked with. I would say they both have similarities and it does go back to like the high engagement cult following. Yeah.
Okay. And yeah, the common denominator is people really love the content and engage with it. Gets a lot of likes and views and shares.
Yeah.
Okay, highly engaged. Well, let's come to the offer. So what, what's the offer that you're making to these people, man?
So as it sort of stands right now and this does get changed depending on, depending on how the call really goes. But yeah, I start off with a 2K GPP.
Yep.
One time and then a rev share for like a three month period once the digital program is launched.
I see, I see. So 2k pounds plus rev share, 90 day agreement.
Yeah.
And you basically build a product for them to sell to their audience. Yes. Build and what? Build. So build plus launch. Product. And what's the most common type of like product? Is it a course, coaching, consulting event?
So this is where it gets a bit, not tricky but it's
the,
the two recent have been like course based, video like transformation sort of programs. And then the other big case study that I've had is paid community. So I basically went to them, built them the whole school community and then ran that for a period of time.
Cool. Yeah. So most common is a course or a community. And how much are you doing roughly per month right now?
To be blunt, I've. Within the last. Yeah, within the last month I've signed two clients. One paid 50 and that was a 2.250 and then the other one was a straight 2K. So if we go off those numbers. Yeah, 5K, 6K. Yeah, but that's not consistent. Yeah, it's not consistent but we'll go with that.
Yeah. And you probably have some months where it's a bit spiky as well, where you just have like a bit really big month. What's been the biggest month ever in like this whole company since?
Are we talking specifically this offer or are we talking just me working with creators in general? Like monetizing.
Give me both.
Okay. With this this is what you're, what you're seeing and hearing right now is this. So those numbers, what I've just said in terms of what I've. I've done in total, I would say circa 15, 20K.
Cool.
Yeah, cool.
And where do you want to go? What. What's the next income goal you want to hit?
I would say based on what I've been exposed to and like what I know is possible, I would say I should be clear in 20, 30k months with ease. Especially with, with like the rev share model if I'm working with like my true like avatar.
I agree.
Even like honestly even more to be. To be honest.
I agree.
Yeah.
Hell yeah. Yeah. When this is dialed in, I mean 50, 100. Yeah. More. Hell yeah. Because what's the average rev share?
I would say it's mainly been 25 to 30% above 5K dollars. REV.
That's really good. That's really good.
Some who are put off with the one time fee are happy with me to take a bigger rev share. I would say when I first got into the space I only. All I ever knew was rev share and I think part of reason why I'm sort of struggling now as well as probably 1 sales but 2 is like my focus has always been rev share and then now trying to sell at one time has been quite tricky but it's needed for me to have stability. And yeah from everything that I've learned from just doing rev share only it. Yeah. There's no predictability. Yeah. I end up doing. There's no and one. There's no commitment from the no skin in the game. Yeah.
Just about to say that.
Yeah. So things could take four weeks and or they could take four months. Yeah. When realistically it should be a tighter period of time.
Yeah. Yeah. What I usually find is like the more big and famous and respected the person, the higher the fee and the lower the profit share.
Yeah.
And people are new with no audience, no nothing. Usually the lower the fee, the higher the profit share and you kind of want to get the fee as high as possible and vice versa, which is the goal. So just tell me dude, like all of the problems and bottlenecks that you have right now that we can solve
today, I would say near enough zero. ICP are engaging with my content.
Okay. So like yeah, ICP isn't being attracted.
I would say. My personal profile following has quite a lot of potential. I like ICPs on there. Like I have a lot of YouTubers that follow me. A lot of people with high following follow me. I wouldn't say it's being reciprocated. Like I wouldn't say there's any sort of engagement from them as such. I get the odd story swipe here and there.
So they follow you but they don't interact.
Yeah, yeah. Okay. Bear in mind I have only been making content intentionally since December.
Okay. Targeting problem content. The n. Personal outreach. You're not running cold ads yet, are you?
No. I have tried running on one of my case studies that did well organically. I did try running profile visit on that, but it was just attracting lads that go to Ibiza. It wasn't attracted in the icp.
Okay, interesting. Yeah. So ICP is not being attracted, but they do follow.
Yeah, yeah. I have over time built a good okay sort of following with creators. I would also say this, this next one is a bit of a. I put down outbound getting ignored. However, I do get replies. So it's. It's a weird one. It's. I would say out of 10, 20 people I would outreach to, I may get three replies back, but the outreach to them may not be something that's like very personal. It might literally be something about like, I can guarantee you minimum. I can guarantee you minimum 5k with your digital program launch, or it might just be like a simple. Are you doing anything more apart from chasing brand deals? So I am good at getting replies. I've been able to get replies from people with millions of followers, but I wouldn't say there's a. I wouldn't say there's a strict sort of strategy. It's more just anything that's going to get them terrify initially and then I sort of hit them with the. The right hook, depending on who it is. I'd also say. Two things here. I would say is because I'm pitching a creator who potentially might have never thought about monetizing their own audience, they sometimes then have the discovery call with me, see the idea, see everything, and then a few weeks later it becomes their own idea and they either do it without me, take some parts of it and do it by themselves, or it never goes anywhere. So I've had that recently. Where to the name. It's been taken and run about me. But damn, I guess because there is no. There's nothing there. I've got to be. All I've known is to be open and present the idea before.
I didn't think of that problem actually.
Yeah.
Because you've kind of got to educate them on what to do.
Yeah.
But if you cross the line, they do it themselves. I never thought of that problem.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Interesting.
And also price objection as well on the one time. But that might just be down to the type of people that I'm having conversations with as of recently.
Can't afford it. Objection.
Yeah. But to be honest, I don't think it is a can't afford it. Like an actual can't afford it. I mean, I try and reflect on every after call, every sales call. I do.
Yeah.
And I just don't, I don't know.
They've got the money.
Yeah.
They just don't want to spend it.
Yeah.
Do you ever ask them on the sales call that stuff and say like, you know, something like a. Give me something that you would hear on a call in that situation, as if you're the prospect.
Something like, I can't, I can't afford that.
Yeah.
Right now. Or it would literally be like, it's a, that's a bit too much for me.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. One thing that might help you on the sales calls is, let's say, let's say they say, like, yeah, I'm just not sure I can afford that right now. One thing that I'd love to ask them is to say to them, okay, no worries. Well, listen, I really appreciate you being like transparent with me because if you're transparent with me, that just allows me to help you. So let me ask you, when you say you can't afford it, is it like you physically do not have the funds liquid to afford it? Or is it more like, listen, you've got the money but you're just on the fence about spending it, which one is it? And that's a really nice layer down question to ask these people because then it sounds like they're probably going to say something like, well, listen, yeah, I've got the money, but real objection, you know, like, but I've got a big bill coming up or I've, I just, I don't think it's maybe going to work or something. And I would even say to them, if they kind of made an excuse, I would say, listen, man, would you mind if I, if I shoot you straight? They're always going to say yes. And I'd say to them, like, sounds like you don't see the value because if you did see the value, you would understand that the fee is worth it. What are your thoughts? And I love these gentle, probing questions because with everyone that you ask, you'd get closer to the truth and they would probably say, well, yeah. And then Like, I've got a client in a totally different niche. But what he does on the. In the pitch is he does the math with them. Okay. And he's like. He's got this little mini calculator, and he's like, how much do you have to invest in property? And then he puts that number in and then some other numbers, and then it spits out, like, the average roi. And then he's like, so can you see? If you started with 30K, you'd be here in one year, here in two year, here in three year. And he, like, visually shows them the impact and it anchors the value and the timeline as well.
Yeah.
And when we started implementing that, his close rate went from like, 17 to 22%. It's not massive, but it adds up over time. So maybe you could do something similar where in your pitch, you do the math and you say, right, you've got a 50k audience right now. And let's just take 2% of that audience, which is X number. Now, if we were to build an offer, let's say for easy math, 997 or whatever, for a training program, and we just closed those, say, I don't know, 30 people, 2% would put $30,000 in your bank account. Does that make sense? Yeah, that makes sense. Awesome. And can you see how if we just close 2%, forget 98%, 2%, how you'd make 30,000. Can you see that? Yeah, I can see that. Amazing, right? And you're kind of bringing it to life and that might help to reduce that.
Yeah.
When you put in the genuine numbers in front of them, you know, do you. When you do, you close through sales calls? Right?
Say that again.
You close through sales calls.
Yeah, yeah.
Do you have, like, a pitch and a pitch deck?
Sort of. So I show them the four sort of steps. So I call them phases. So four phases from idea to launch. Bear in mind, I've never had to do sales calls in my life. And I kept going back and forth with a friend about this. It was like, he was like, no, you need to do one call closes. One call closes. And I was like, I tried it. And I was like, bro. Like, it's just not. Like, one, it does not feel right for me. And two, it's just never. I've never. I've never had to do it. And for a period of time, a few weeks of getting on calls, I was like, is this just, like a me problem? Am I just, like, saying that I can't do it?
Then?
I was just like, no, it just doesn't work. So for me, it's always been reach out. Whether they reach out to me or I reach out to them. Choosing me, reaching out to them. Discovery call first. Just literally not a sales call at all. Like, literally just one, get to know them as a person, but two, get to know their audience. Like, how long I'll be making content. Like, have they tried anything in the past? Like, if they've worked with any brands, like, what. What has that relationship been like? And then sort of like, sprinkle the idea, say that I'll go away, put it together, and then on the next call, I'll actually go through them, how we launch it, how we do everything, and then. Then close it on that call.
I like that. I like that. And what's the short rate to the second call?
I would say based. I would say like 60, 70%. Yeah, it's quite high. It's quite a high short rate based on, like, what I've done recently. Yeah.
Yeah. So, yeah, some people ghost, but most people don't.
Yeah, most people. Yeah, most people don't. Yeah.
Okay, that's. That's really interesting, man. Yeah. So you're doing like a discovery and then you don't pitch them. You go away, you rebook them on the spot for their next call.
I try to. Near enough. Or I would say, like, yeah, I do try to. Otherwise I would just be like, okay, cool, let's say we have the call on Friday. I'd be like, I'll have. I'll have it all mapped out for you by Monday. And then we'll get. We'll sort of call. The issue with that I've. I have faced where they don't end up turning up for that call. And then they'll probably. Other problem within that is them having all of the information, them seeing, like, what it would do for them. And then I'm then chasing. And when I'm. When I'm following up and I'm very relentless. Maybe a bit too much. Too much?
Like, good.
No, no. Like, I'd say, like people that maybe I pitched like two years ago. I'm still.
Yeah.
I don't know. To me, it just seems. I think it's because I look at it.
Yes.
Okay, cool. I want to make money for myself, but I think I just see it a bit further than that to the point where I would even probably do it just some of them, I would probably even do it just for a case study, just because I enjoy the idea. Like, recently I pitched a Fairly popular creator who's out here. She makes paddle content out here. Got, got in, had a meeting, used a friend to sort of like give me the sort of the referral. Met up with a picture of everything. Everything sounds great. Tried to get a deposit on there on the spot, but transfer wise decided to start asking financial questions.
So.
And I didn't have my stripes up, so yeah, yeah, I've learned that lesson now.
Damn.
And I knew what was going to happen. I knew if I didn't get even if I didn't get 50 quid, I knew what was going to happen because I've just had this same problem.
Yep.
And, and then it happened.
Yep.
So it's never, it's never about how good the. Well it may be, how good the idea is. It's if I don't get commitment when I've got like their full attention in my eyes and my past experience, I've lost them 100%.
Yeah, dude, we, in my old company, we track the data on this across like 500 sales calls. What's the close rate on the first call and if they get off the first call, what's the close rate on any follow up? Dude, it was, it was insane. It was, dude, it was mad. Like if they got off the phone, the closer it was like 9%, you know. And when we learned that we had the data, we were basically like, it's that first call, you know. Yes, follow up is important. Of course it is.
Right.
But that first call is absolutely critical based on what you told me. Dude, I would. If you're okay with it, I would go back to a one call close.
Right.
And because you can't, you can't, you can't close them on the first call. If you do it well, you know, you just need a good discovery, a good pitch and pitch deck. And I would do the data with them in the pitch deck to give them the belief and the proof and everything and fucking drill it home. Audience size average, offer price tiny.1% of your audience, 2% of your audience, and make it almost stupid. Literally 99% of people can say no 1% says yes and we can still put 40 grand in the bank over the next 90 days. Can you see that math blob, you know, and really kind of drive it home. And if you do that, it makes the offer even more compelling. Do you have a guarantee, by the way?
I've started saying it.
Yeah.
I've started saying they'll make minimum 5k USD on launch. I haven't put that out There in terms of that they'll, they'll see that in like either direct messages or on calls.
Yeah.
And that's only been like the last like one or two. I've only been really doing it when I've been doing outreach.
Okay.
And I think. But it does go back to the avatar because I can guarantee them that if they are the right person. But I feel like I do find myself over the last few weeks just sort of like spraying and praying with like who I, who I just work with just to get some traction through the door.
Inputs.
And I think that does also. Yeah, definitely. That word resonates in terms of like even fulfillment to a fulfillment level. Because spraying and praying is all well and good.
Like I love that term.
Spraying and praying.
Spraying and praying.
Yeah. It's all well and good until you end up landing all of these different people and then you're like, can I swear? Yeah, yeah. I was like, oh. And it's like now I've got to fulfill, like got. I've got a, A men's like mental reset. Oh, program over here. I've got some booty program over here. And I'm just.
What? You don't make the course for them though, do you?
No. So I just give them, I give them the framework, I help them ideate what should go inside of it. They put the content inside of it and then I just add things around it. So like worksheets and it's kind of
like an agency in a way, isn't it?
Yeah, I would say the. I'm in that. I mean. Well, I mean everyone that's now like trying to get people to do high ticket coaching. I'm in that sort of middle where like my niche. The only other person in the space, I was doing it. You probably know him, Sean Hanif, Shannon from, from Jennifer. And he's probably the only person sort of what I was sort of doing.
Yeah.
Oh, just on. I was doing a much more scale.
Yeah.
That was probably my only other person that I could like, sort of see. Now it's like I'm in this period where it's like digital programs, like high ticket coaching. Like. Yeah, yeah.
Okay. Okay. How many sales calls do you book per month roughly?
I would say, Say for say four or five right now.
And across the last 30 sales calls, what was your close rate?
20%.
That's good.
No, I would say out of the sales calls that I've done, it would be about 10, 20%.
That's a big gap.
Okay, cool. So let's say Actual sales calls.
Yep, yep. Like, like closing calls. Last 30.
I would say two out of the last 10.
Two and 10?
Yeah, I would say two and 10.
About 20.
Yeah, yeah. That's industry standard.
Yeah. So 20.
Bear in mind, I've only like really, only really been doing closing calls since probably in the last like six. It's mental actually saying out loud because it feels like I've been doing it a lot, like doing it long. But I would say. And since like December is like as this sort of system. I would say yeah, since like December, January, But going in. Yeah.
And that 2k fee, that's just one time, isn't it? Yeah, it's a 2K to come in.
Yeah.
For 90 days. 30 of. Is it revenue or net profit?
Rev.
Top line rev.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But I would say that does get it. Does it just flip. It does get changed a bit. So if there is, if, if they are really like, I, I just can't get that like 2k out of them, then when I do go away and then sort of like say, okay, cool, let's try and work that fee into, into the first sort of 90 days worth of rev.
Yeah.
So then build that into it.
Yeah.
Because one thing that I have been thinking and it's, and it is part of me is like, okay, cool, let's say I completely remove that 2K. Right. Would I have signed everyone that I got on calls with? Probably. I generally believe. I, I, I think, however, I don't like saying that because it goes against me wanting to have a flat. But I do believe if I was to remove the flat, it, it would, it would, I would start working. But I can't say how much commitment I would actually have. That's, that's the. Yeah, yeah.
If they all said yes and you worked with them all, how, how difficult and stressful would it be? Is question one. And how much money do you think you would have made is question two. I know it's hard to say, but
yeah, I would definitely say there was one specific in January that I don't know. I, I can't, I can't remember word for word what I said or I said something on. I basically I got a phone call in the morning and it was like this was after the, we had an initial, we had initial discovery and we met up in person here and I got, on Monday morning I got a. Basically I panicked. Like, I don't, don't think I can go ahead with it like blah, blah, blah, and went a bit back and forth Tried to object, handle it a bit. And I don't know what I said, but I said something and it was an older lady, much wiser, let's say. And I just got it down, I got it down the phone. I don't know what I said, but I must have said something. And part, I think part of it was previously maybe she's had to spend on a course or to spend on coaching or whatever and she'd been burnt so obviously that all that emotion came up again. And I think if I didn't have a one, if I didn't have a flat fee on that, that probably would have put maybe circa 10, 20, maybe even 30k a month in my pocket. If on a rev. If we just did like a rev share. Yeah, yeah. Just because of like her audience. It's retired. Retired people wanting to move out of the states. And there was a. There was def. Yeah, there was definitely something there. So it goes back to the avatar because if the avatar is good, I'd happily just do, do a rev because that's what I am used to. That's what I have. It was only until last few years where I actually implemented a fee. But there is no sort of predictability in terms of when you get paid.
Right. Let's come back to the problems for a second. Any other problems to add to this list?
Let me just see. Icp, the interaction with the four outbound being ignored. People don't vote. Oh, you can't afford. Objection. Some. One thing that I've had a few times is. Some people are telling me they don't actually understand what I do.
That's a bad sign.
Yeah. So when I heard this bad sign. Yeah, I heard this. It was actually a friend who said it last week and that. Yeah, it definitely, definitely didn't sit. Didn't let that sit.
Right.
When I went back home after walking the beach, I was like, right, okay, so clearly I'm doing something wrong here.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What does your Instagram bio say?
So right now it says I help creators make. I help creators make 10k plus dollars per month. I recently changed that to that. Yeah. I would say for a long period of time it was I help creators monetize their audience. It was that. And then January it was, I, I build passive systems for creators.
That does sound confusing.
Yeah. And I think it was that for a period of time.
Yeah.
Or I, yeah, I build past. Yeah, I build passive Inc. I help creates. Build passive systems or something like that.
Yeah, I, I can understand what you're getting at. Like, if I was going to write your bio, I would just say I help creators or people with large audiences. But say I help creators monetize their audience through digital products.
Yeah.
You know, I help creators monetize their audience through digital products. Yeah, that's what we're doing, isn't it? Basically. And if you said that to your friend, would he understand that? Would he be like, okay, that makes sense. Yeah, that's what the bio should be then.
Yeah, yeah.
It needs to be stupid simple because this avatar, bless them, are a bit. They're just unaware of our side of things. You know, the back end stuff.
Yeah.
You know, they're not. I was gonna say stupid, but that's not fair. No, it's just not.
It's just unaware, innit? It's just. Yeah, they don't know.
Yeah. So we need to keep it stupid simple for them. And on, on the sales calls, I mean, right, number one, if your close rate is 20%, that's good. Like industry standard is 20. So if you're closing. Closing calls.
Yeah.
At 20%, there's nothing wrong. It could just be better, basically.
Right.
So based on that, fine. This I'm worried about because one thing I will say, volume solves a lot of problems, man. If you were having 30 calls a month, I don't think you'd be unhappy. You know, I think you'd be closing three of them, five of them, and you'd be rocking and rolling because this is good. It's fine. But I'll give you some ways to make it even better in a second. But lack of understanding. We can solve that through what we've just said. There anything else for the problems list before we talk about acquisition? I want to scale this thing. I'm getting excited about this business. I want to go and get this thing to some numbers.
I would say, okay, cool. In terms of my funnel right now, it's either me outreaching through DMS or if I see like a new ICP potentially or like a potential ICP like, or comment, I'll DM them instantly. That's probably the only other thing that. In terms of like my actual funnel right now.
Yeah.
Not doing a vsl. I've got a tally like an audit in my bio right now. No one's. No ICP has actually interacted with it. Yeah, that's probably the. That's probably all I'm doing right now. Content wise, I'm only doing IG content. Have two pages, but I put my carousels on at monetized by Joey page and then I just sort of collab all my reels with that. But post on my main.
I love the name. I love the name. So good, man.
Yeah, it's just clean.
No vsl. That's just madness, man. Yeah, because, I mean, but I guess because, because my brain is saying like, well, how do people understand it before they like get on the call? But I guess you explain in the DMs, don't you? In a way, yeah.
Yeah. So yeah, it's a weird one.
Yeah. All right, well, let's talk about acquisition for a sec. Right, so tell me, tell me. Let's start with traffic. Right, so how do you get traffic right now? You've got an Instagram. Do you have a YouTube?
I do, but I don't. I haven't posted on it for a long while.
Okay. So yeah. And do you have anything apart from an Instagram, like email list?
No, I use X a little bit, but yeah, nothing, not really Got too much traction on there.
Okay, so sounds like Instagram's the kind of core driver.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay. So not really any YouTube? No email, no ads? No, not yet.
Not really.
Okay. Okay. And what is your system on Instagram? Do you have like a specific times and days you post and stuff you post?
The one that I've been following at the moment is being like one main feed reel, two trials, one carousel and do it every day.
Well, what's a trial?
Trial reels, what's that? So it basically post it to a non following audience. So it basically goes anyone but the people who follow you. Which basically I've got my Claude set up to basically take and I'm also potentially going to change how I do my content as well. Yeah, been following a, like a storytelling sort of framework and then my trial reels are basically a bit more like cutthroat. And then people say like if your trial reels do well view wise then like you can, you can instantly take it, share it to your main. So it shares it to everyone. But yeah, I'd say like half people on Instagram say keep it in trials and half people say share it to everyone. So I just sort of, I just leave it there for now. Okay. But I use my trial reels more for like punchier content and I use my mainfield reels as more as like storytelling flow.
Yeah. What's, what's some of the content? Is it like three steps to how to monetize your audience and stuff?
It's not, it's not even that. It's. I would say it's more, let me just go off like what was yesterday's. So yeah, I've been in the credit space for 13 years. Here's what most people don't realize about it. That's like more of my new content but like my previous ones would be like story based where it's like I went through this and this is what I learned more Top of funnel. And then my trial reels would be more like after 13 years working with creators I can spot who's going to make it in about 30 seconds and then talk about like I observe and my other one's more like pattern recognition. So it's like most creators are one algorithm change away from being irrelevant. Here's why. So it's less like top tips but it is, it's like insight story. Yeah. However I will say. Yeah, I trained with, with a lad this morning who's absolutely killing it, like killing it doing like 200k plus a month. And like one thing that he said to me this morning that does resonate is people can, people can tell even just by like how you sound in content. And his is very like almost as if he sat all day, the idea is pondered in his head and then at the end of the day he's made that video. It's funny I say it like that because that's what he actually does. Like he might, it might be something that comes in, he writes down, he write it down or whatever and then throughout the day he'll just let his pen write and whatever and then eventually at the end of the day he'll make that video and it comes across like as if we're just having a conversation.
Genuine.
Genuine.
Yeah. You know what top of funnel, middle of funnel, bottom of funnel is obviously.
Yeah, yeah.
Do you think about those levels or not really?
Yes. However, I think my top funnel, middle funnel, bottom funnel is a bit all skew with in terms of when I say top of funnel I actually think my top of funnel is still quite middle. Yeah.
So this is the way that I think about this stuff. I think like all of my kind of main content is always about the problems that my ideal customers have. So for example, probably what brought you here today to fix the systems and get more customers basically middle of funnel stuff is actually this video that we are making right now which is the solutions to the problem, which is what we are doing is the friggin solutions to the problem. And then the bottom of funnel which I'm going to talk to you about later is making people take Action. And I don't think that's your problem. I think this is your problem. I think one thing that you need to do more of is a mix of short form and long form problem content about the making them aware that they have a problem. I think that would get you a lot more leads and calls and sales. Because your content right now, just from what you just said there, I might be wrong, but it's a bit fluffy, you know, it seems. And dude, you're seriously missing a trick by not doing YouTube. Friggin bloody hell. Like you should be doing just one great YouTube video a week and then pushing your Instagram people to that video to learn and book a call. And then you're kind of like Instagram getting them in with the problem, pushing them to YouTube for the solution, pushing them to a sales call to take action. That's kind of what we do actually. You know, we do Instagram for top, YouTube for middle and call to actions for the. For the bottom. And one thing I just wrote down over here that works well for us is doing story sequences with call to actions where we just do like one story and dude, these fucking crush. We get like hundreds of replies. And yeah, it works really well is like story sequences with problems. I'll send you one later on. I'll send you our highest performing one later on. So you can model it. But it just says something like, you know, most coaches struggle to raise their prices because blah, blah, blah. One thing I help my clients to do is raise the prices and double or triple their income. I've put together a free training on how this is done. Comment the word whatever and I'll send it. So just very provocative problem shit. Like you've got this problem. Then they're like, shit, yes, I do have that problem. I sold this for people. Comment this word and I'll send you a training to fucking show you how. And then they reply in the Instagram and we send them over to YouTube. YouTube is. The videos are so long that they spend so much time with you and they connect with you more as well. And then we push them into the funnel onto a sales call. That's one key mechanism you're missing, man, is long form YouTube videos for sure. And do you run story sequences very often?
Just not like how you've just said it. The ones that I do run, I'm more just sort of like calling out, Let me see if I can pull one up.
Yeah, if you've got one, it'd be good to, good to see.
But I would Definitely say they're nowhere. Like they're not
good.
Well, yeah, they're not good.
Yeah. Show me one. Let's have a look.
Let me see where we are. Where are we? Where are we?
Sales process is a dm. Dm to a call.
Where are we? Yeah. So I've done one like.
Let's have a look.
Where are we?
Better not see anything naughty in these pictures.
No, I've literally just had it up here. My. Here we go.
Yep. Right. Most people sell a dream. Not me. I treat every launch like it's my own. Work with me and get results like this. 3.49.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I would say the easiest way for me to do this is who's gonna let me. Where are we?
Most people don't avoid monetize because they can't. They avoid it because they don't want to become someone they don't respect. How I generated 1.2 for creators. Yeah.
And if you're on the fence about it, give us a read. But then I do ones like this
where it's different, not louder, just clearer. Less reacting, less numbing, more intention.
So this is more personal.
I ain't rushing anything in, more building up P. I can stand behind. Yeah, but there's no like. Yeah, like copy written. Yeah, dude, I'm gonna send you one later on that you can just reword basically.
Okay.
And I think that alone doing that once every 10 days would get you way more leads and calls. So I'll send that to you later on.
I'll definitely say thank you for that as well. I would definitely say right now I'm trying to be detached from this, but I do find myself sort of like. Just almost like scraping the barrel at times. So like I might not have like a mass amount of people that come through the funnel, but like I said, I'll be chasing people that I've pitched like for the last like few months. And I think that's the cycle that I'm keep going around in. However, I'll still do outreach, but it's still that vicious cycle of chasing
and
say it's only beat. I would say like, say this offer realistically is only being active within the last like three months. Yeah.
Okay.
I would definitely say that that's the.
The vibe when it comes to these businesses. Right. There's a few inputs. So usually like say you make a YouTube video and you get attention. That's like the traffic. Then you'll have a vsl, which is the sales process. Then from there they book a call which is where you close them and then you provide them value. Right. Where would you say your main problem is right now? Is it getting traffic, getting them on a call or closing them? Don't think it's closing them, is it?
I don't think it's closing, no.
I think it's either the traffic or the sales process or go off.
I would say traffic and sales.
Yeah, yeah, because.
Yeah, because we can hand like I can. At worst case, I can handle the objection on the prize by just reworking it into rev. But if I'm only getting on one or like one of those calls a week, it's a problem.
You need systematic Instagram inputs and YouTube inputs to give you consistent traffic. You need to send it all. DM is fine, you can keep doing that, but you need to build out a VSL funnel with a really clean, clear VSL with proof in it, with math in it, with examples in it where they can watch it before the call and it will warm them up. Right? That will, number one. I mean, it will help you with closing on the first call, that's for damn sure.
Right.
And you need to do YouTube.
So.
Sure. I'll run you through some of these things I wrote down.
Right.
So if I, if I, if I owned your business, you sold me your business today, this is what I would do. I would do two Instagram reels per day, every single day, content all about just the problems and the pains of my ideal customers that I wanted to come to me and buy from me to Instagram reels a day. I would do one YouTube video per week and I would make it as long as I could, 20, 30, 40, 50 minutes. And I would do a deep dive on the problems and pains that they have. How to add an army, make a course that sells, how to price your culture course or coaching program or whatever, how to close sales calls. All the problems that they have and what you want to do in the videos is remove their limiting beliefs and install beliefs that will make them want to buy from you. That's a bit complex. We can talk about that later. But that's kind of the point, right? And it's going to build a lot of trust and respect for you, which makes it easier to buy as well. Then what I would do. So We've systemized Instagram two reels a day, one story sequence a week. We've systemized YouTube one video a week that is going to give us regular, reliable, systematic inputs into the machine. Then in your bios and your descriptions or whatever you're Going to push them to a VSL so that they can book in a call with you. That's the system, the sales process in the middle to get you calls. Right. And that systematic traffic is going to get you systematic DMs and calls. One thing that I would suggest as well is run some retargeting ads on Instagram. Even if you only spend $5 a day, $10 a day. You know what retargeting ads are? Yeah, obviously.
Yeah, that's set up through the ads manager as opposed to just boosting. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And just anyone that views your Instagram or follows you or engages in the last, say 180 days, just run retargeting ads to them that are very fucking on point. I'm talking like, hey, if you're seeing this ad, that's because you have engaged in my content or you want to my followers. You probably have a large audience. Did you know that? What I do for a career is help people to monetize them. If you have at least 5,000 followers and you're actually getting engagement, there are people in your audience that want to buy from you. They just need to be made the right offer in the right way at the right price. Click this ad. I've put together a short free training video that will walk you through exactly how to do that step by step, right now, today. Click the ad. Go and watch it. I'll speak to you later on. Done. And that's just going to pluck out the buyers, right? And get them to that frigging BSL to book calls. Yeah, right. Just spend $10 a day and that might get you another 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 calls a month alone.
Do you think Avatar needs better sort of filtered, but it needs to be like more filtered. Do you think? Or not because of depending on the avatar or almost kind of sways the fulfillment as well a little bit.
What is it? Is it. Do you have a team? No, just you for now. That's good Avatar wise. Well, within reason. Anyone that's got enough followers can sell something.
Yeah.
So for me, I would keep it broad in the top of funnel. Basically the messaging is if you have a lot of followers, some of them are going to want to buy from you. But the problem is you don't know what to sell them. You don't know how to make it, you don't know how to price it, you don't know how to sell it. Voila. I can solve that. Come in, let's do it. So I'd keep it Broad at the top and filter them in the vsl. So in the vsl you might say, now you're probably wondering, who can I help and who can't I help? So if you have a, let's say this type of niche, this type of following, I can help you, bloody no problem. Blah, blah. If you have like a fucking, I don't know what's a really shit niche that you could just never help?
Pointless entertainment. Like, yeah, entertainment content, but to the point where it's just like, just stupid.
Yeah. So you could say like now if you have a Instagram where you make police chase videos. Right. I love.
They're good though.
Yeah, you could say, I love watching them. I love, I love them. But I'm sorry, but you ain't selling anything to that audience. So if you have an audience that's full of just high dopamine, random people, this is not for you. But if you have a brand and a niche and a following of at least 5,000 people.
Yeah.
I hope you're selling something to them because if you're not, you're leaving a lot of money on the table. Great. So you're going to filter them in the bsl.
Yeah.
And you're going to filter them on the call. So you will get some like rubbish people on the call, say, I can't help you and get them off.
Yeah. I would say right now as well. There's especially like with, with other people in this space with what's. Where things are going. Obviously you've got your man pushing digital. I mean, I think his was more faceless, I believe. And then obviously with. I'm going to butcher his name. Is it John Yoon. Some Asian creator, not.
Not Kim Jong Un
just launched Creator College with. With Sean. I can't remember. I think, I think that's his name. Who some. Some Asian creator launched with Sean. Some creator college. And that's basically, I believe if I'm butchering this as well, I believe that's basically helping smaller creators monetize themselves.
Yeah.
So I think what's going to happen in the next, especially over the next year or two, more people are going to become aware and potentially even try. But I would say nine are going to fail.
Yes.
Like a lot. It's like the drop shipping days. It's like everyone was pushing drop shipping. So everyone. Everyone and their nan was drop shipping.
Yeah.
And then I. There's, you know, if someone's actually making money, most people who do drop shipping are running it like an actual business.
Yep.
Everyone else has Been burnt. And I think that's where this sort of space is going. And I'm in that middle bit where it's like I'm not, I'm not helping them build one to one high ticket coaching because I don't, I don't know that. But I do definitely think there's still legs with this. I don't know.
Yep. In my old company, which was a trading education company, we didn't work with beginners. We didn't teach people to frigging trade. We. Our avatar was people who are trading and who are losing money. People who are trying and failing.
Yeah.
So we're not selling them on doing it. We're not teaching them how to do it as such. It's just you're trying, you can't do it. We can do it. Come in. Let's fix it.
That excites me.
So that could be your avatar. Your avatar. Like, I mean you can test this with content.
Yeah.
Hey, are you a creator and you've tried to sell courses? It didn't work. You've tried to sell coaching, you tried to do a launch, you might have made a few sales but nowhere near what you thought was possible. Well, that's because you're doing three things wrong and blah, blah, blah. Dude, that could rip and watch. One more thing to share when you start making this problem content and it pops off and you get a big reel with and you get DMs and it works. Fucking sponsor that reel.
Yeah.
And run it as a profile visit ad.
Yeah. That's what I tried the case study one. But yeah, it just, it's got to be done right. Yeah, yeah, it's. It's got to be. But I mean majority of those people that were coming in organically weren't ICP. I had like maybe 10 ICPs. Yeah. I would say with everything that I like, content wise, I don't think I'm getting any like any Americans and I don't know why I would like, I've not, I've never, I've never hopped on a sales call. I think with an American YouTuber or
American content creator, that's a bit of a problem.
Yeah.
Because America's are the number 100%. Well, you could, you could run retargeting to us only.
Yeah.
To pluck them out of your audience. You can have like one ad set just for American people. So you can pluck those out if they are in there.
Yeah.
And you could also, if you do sponsor any reels that work well, you can sponsor Them and just run them from the ads manager to us only.
Yeah.
And then you're going to start filling your audience with us people.
Yeah.
Rather than broke.
Yeah. You know, but I would. That's. That's where like, that's one thing that I've noticed as well is like, yeah, I'm just not getting. If I'm not getting any ICP at all, I'm just definitely not getting any Americans, which is, is especially in the YouTube space. Like, yeah, there's a lot of
good
channels, good audiences compared to like, UK is like, it's a lot more rare to find. And I think that's one of the issues I've had is like, why I've had to like, niche down to anyone that's got a cult following. Because otherwise. Yeah.
I'll tell you something funny man, and this will really. I think this will, this will help you. Now, I once made a mindset video for YouTube and Good God, it did well, man. It got a lot of views, a lot of booked calls and we track it through hi Ross. So we can see where the calls come from. And it got us a handful of sales. And then about a month and a half or so later, those customers, one of them asked for a refund and we never get refunds. It's so, so rare. And then another one asked for a refund and then one of them was just being really hard on the calls and we realized they all came from the mindset video. And we was like, why is that? It was like, well, fix your mindset videos attract me people with fucked up mindsets. And it kind of made me realize my content is what brings in the people that I want or don't want. And that's happened a couple of times where I've made a video on a subject, got people on that subject, you know, and he taught me that if you're not getting the right people, it is what you are saying. Because if you say the right thing for. If you make a video about cushions, for people that love cushions, you're going to get people that love cushions. Right. As stupid as that sounds.
Yeah.
So honestly, it's in the words that you say.
You know, it's funny you mentioned this because I actually made. I made a real. About the other day about the black coffee theory.
Yeah.
About basically creators who are saying that they, they don't want to be scammy, they don't want to be selling out, they don't want to do all this. And you ask for what you like, they're the words that are coming out your mouth, you. That they're not really instilling, like positive
words. 100. Yeah. It's what you see, what you're saying.
But I definitely say like a big one is the American side of things because there's so many, like there's so many YouTubers in America that just pop off every so often. But it's not just one. There'll be like 100 in that period of time. That'll pop off.
Yeah.
So I definitely think it's a region thing. But I don't know if that's just down to like my case studies, because my case studies have all been UK creators.
A bit. A bit, yeah. Because, like what people see is what people attract.
Yeah.
You know, so there is a bit of that. What was I going to say then? So we've talked about retargeting. That's going to help you a lot. Problem content. That's going to help you a lot. When you get followers, like roughly how many followers do you get a day right now? Like roughly
five.
Yeah. Five. Yeah, yeah.
Some days better than others, but I'd say about five.
Yeah. Do you reach out to them all?
If there's someone that I potentially would work with. Yeah. I'll just be like, yo, yo. Yeah.
What do you say to them?
I just open the door. I literally just. Sometimes I'd literally just open the door.
Give me, give me an example.
Yo.
You literally just message, yo.
So dependent. Depending on.
Please tell me you're not serious.
It depends. No, like, depending on, like true avatar versus. Yeah, potentially someone I might work with. If a Carl Freezer came through the door.
Yeah.
Obviously I'm always gonna say, yo.
Yeah, yeah.
But if there's like a young lad who's maybe got like 10k followers posting like gym content, not got anything in his bio, I might say yo.
Okay.
If he, if he, if he followed me first, then I'll just say, yeah, we'll do this.
Do this instead. Voice note them.
Okay, right.
And just say something that is. It can't be pre recorded. It's genuinely for them. Okay. So say like, hey, Will, just saw that you followed me earlier and that you are in the fitness space and I can see you've got 10.4 thousand subscribers. So now they know. Oh, he's. He knows me and he's looked at my shit.
Yeah.
Builds a bit of respect. It's like, oh, cool. You're like, I don't, I don't know where you found me in fact, like, let me Know how you came across me, but I just wanted to ask you like, are you monetizing those followers? And if so, how. Just let me know those two things, why you followed me and what you're doing right now and I'll send you some ideas that could help you to do it bigger and better speak later on. If you send that to every person that could be a customer, you're gonna, you're gonna get way more calls and sales. You know, it takes time. But yeah, it is g that because no one does it.
And I think what, what you just said there as well is like, it takes time. However, if it's the. If it is a true and I don't know if my perfect like hero avatar is going to be coming through this funnel or,
or not.
But I do believe like it taking time because let's say for instance, the guy who I I've got my biggest case study with started working with him when he was on had a million subscribers. He's got over five point summit now and he's like killing it, killing it. And I worked with him for over four and a half years.
Wow.
So like if it is true, icp.
Yeah.
I could spend a whole week do. I mean I could spend a whole week putting together something. I could fly them out, I could fly to them.
Oh, dude, I'm so happy you've said that. I'm so happy you've said that. I would have forgot this because I've
got no, I've got no ties to location either as well.
So yeah, so happy you've said that, man. We'll talk about that in a minute. Yeah, so what? One thing that we tested for a while was we would send a paperback copy of my book and a coffee mug with our logo on it to people that had a call, should have closed but didn't. And it's a bit of a longer term play but it really made a difference and people would get back in touch and be like, man, thanks so much for sending me the book and the coffee mug. This is great. They read the book and then you buy, you know. So I'm not saying write a book. You could do that in the future because it took me a year and
a half, but you should see some my follow ups. Yeah, I love it, man.
I love chasing people down. But. But yeah, dude, like you, you should really do that. One thing that we do is I've got this selfie video that I made in the office and it just says like, hey, thanks for following me. Where did you find me, blah, blah, blah. And we send that to everyone.
I hear you say this. Yeah. Never had it.
You know I had it.
Nah.
When did you follow me?
Maybe like two years ago.
Oh, that's probably why then, because we only started doing four or five months ago.
Okay.
So that's probably why. But yeah, we. We send that to everybody. Some people do know it's prerecorded. You know, if they're in our world, they can know that I'm not making the video for every person. And what we do is we've also got a voice note and it's like me coming out of the gym and I'm like, hey, I'm a bit out of breath. I'm like, oh, I just came out of the gym. But I saw that you follow me. I just wanted to get straight back to you and just say thank you and all this shit. Because we were just trying to make it feel as genuine as possible. And depending on who follows, we'll send them the video or the voice note.
But for you, what's the decider between that?
The decider is my setter looks at their profile and just looks. Are they a normal person? Are they big? What are they doing? Kind of. And if it's someone that is more of an ideal icp, they'll get the voice note instead. It's a bit more, yeah, real, but they get either or. And that works really well. Right. And we. Our. Our conversation rate is 12%. So if we message 100 people, we book 12 calls on average, and the calls close at 17%. So we book about 90 calls a month from Instagram right now. So not massive, but it all adds up. So definitely do that. That personalized voice notes. Well worth your time. Another thing I'm going to say don't do this yet, but later I would test cold ads. Right. Don't do that yet, do that later. One thing I think would really help you is the. The visual pitch deck.
Yeah.
For the sales calls, where you do the math with them.
And I would say another. Now you mentioned that I would say another thing is like, say if I get on a call with them when I haven't shown them potentially what a landing page could look like for them, it creates objections. Yeah, yeah. But once I actually show them and
it could be something.
So like in my head I'm thinking, what?
Yep.
And they're like, what?
Yep.
And it could be something so basic. But once they see it, then maybe their photo on it, their video, their name, whatever it is, it does Something
that can be your vsl and the VSL can act as the pre call video. So if you set someone through a dm.
Yeah.
Then when you've booked them, say right now before the call, watch this video.
Yeah.
And then the VSL is going to be like who you are, testimonials, your background, who you do and don't help, what it looks like, the math behind it. Just so that everything that they would need to know before they get on that call.
Yeah.
And then you're going to have a visual pitch deck where you do the math with them as well. And dude, like this shit is going to make a big difference.
Yeah.
God damn big difference.
Right.
Pitch deck, authority, content we've talked about. Right. Problem content. Stuff that you've solved. Stuff you've done for clients.
Yeah.
One thing that book says a lot of calls is when I do a client case study for YouTube. Like that thing's just God damn unbelievable. So make you know, this is, this is Mike. He came to me with this audience and selling nothing. Fast forward seven weeks. He made this money. Here's roughly how we did it. If you want me to help you with that too. DM me the word help. Stuff like that.
It's basically how I turned up today.
Yeah.
I turned up today. Don't get me wrong, I've been watching content for a while but it's l literally sat down in the evening watching you break literally this.
Yeah. And now you're here. He's so funny, man.
Yeah.
Yeah. So you're living proof this stuff. Yeah. I am so cool man. And yeah, dude, I got so many messages off that freaking thing saying can I come? How much is it to come? And I'll fly over. There's a guy flying from England to come and do a session. But anyway yeah, so that's that VSL we've talked about story sequences. I'm going to send you hours later on so that they're stronger. One more thing, that 2k price is too low. You know it's annoying me how how low that is.
I've got a reference to but then
again the rev share is high.
Let me see if I can pull this up. Where are we? Yeah. So a reference to like potentially maybe how someone else is charging in the space. Seen them posting on X. I think it's mainly like yeah, faceless. Is it? We build, launch and scale your entire info product business. Product funnel, content sales done for you. You bring the knowledge, we bring the machine.
That's good.
It's. There's no vsl. It's all text. Let's have a look. It was called Info Arbitrage.
Your knowledge is worth 10 more than what you're earning from it.
We build watch. Go.
Info Arbitrage. Nice. Client revenue DM arbitrage on telegram.
Yeah, yeah. So they're closing through the DM and then the problem.
Yeah, yeah.
The shift. Yeah. And this is where how it works. They do it in 60 days and then so they've got phase one, the build, phase two to scale receipts. So this is. Yeah, nice case study.
That's good.
And then this is the investment.
It's really good. Wait, so it's a setup. Phase five. Oh, it's funny dude. I was going to say five to you monthly retainer. Ah, wow.
So look at.
That's nice.
Look how like. You know what I mean? So I really like that.
Yeah, yeah. Five to get in, three to stay in and a profit share.
And then in the small print under here it says the rev share means we only win when. When you win. Which I go with anyway. Hiring a ghostwriter, funnel builder, copywriter, all of that would be 15 to 40K. And those people don't talk to each other to. True, but these, but these smaller type of people have no idea of any of that. They just know shit.
You know what you could do as well in your pitch deck? You could have a slide where it's like mid line down the middle. Work with me. Do it yourself. And on the do it yourself side you could be like hire a copywriter, hire VA to post, hire a systems manager, buy seven softwares, blah blah blah. Total, you know, 9114amonth. Work with me one time, 2K setup fee, everything done for you.
But now you say it like that the 2k is too low.
Yeah, yeah. How you say it?
Yeah, yeah.
You know and that's like per month.
Yeah.
As well. This is what the pitch deck is all about. It's like making them realize how hard it is, how slow it is. All the mistakes, all the shit, the size of the opportunity and then if they don't do it, it's like you're costing yourself 30k or some shit to work with me. Just five. Five, one time. And a fucking profit share.
Yeah.
For God's sakes, come on.
And a lot of when I do do the follow ups as well is saying like they might have not spoke to me for three months in that three month period they would have already made back what they would have paid me.
Plus dude, there's a retargeting ad for you.
Yeah.
You could say. Let me ask you a question. How long have you been following me for right now? Weeks, months, maybe even years. Think about how much money you've cost yourself in that time.
Yeah.
By not forget working with me. Just by not doing this and getting it right. If you want me to come in and solve this for you finally so we can stop losing that money and put it in the bank, click this ad book in a call now. Break down how it works.
Yeah. You know, on my offer, I know you said something about 5k them for a second. Like if you, if you were, if you were me, what, what would the offer be and how much different to what it is right now? Because I do feel, I do feel it's cheap. Even though I'm struggling to sell.
Yeah.
I still do feel like it is cheap. And when we look at this,
I,
I, I wouldn't have to complain. I wouldn't be complaining.
There's usually two ways to price. Either higher price and you work with less people. Lower price and you work with more people.
Yeah.
Right. You've kind of got to decide that first. I feel like you want to do what we do where it's higher price, lower volume.
Yeah.
Right. Now, I think a fair offer for what I imagine your ideal avatar is would be 5k to get in 1k to stay in and around, around 30% rev share. But I would tier the rev share based on their following size.
Yeah.
So I'd be like, right, if you've got a million frigging followers, the profit share is 10%.
Yeah.
Because we're probably going to make so much bloody money.
Right?
Yeah. Or whatever. If you've got less, you know, I don't know, between 100,005, whatever. It's X percent and if you've got under 25,000, for example, it's 50% or something like that. It gets a bit complex. You might want to just start with when I think a clean offer is 5k to get in 1k to stay in 30% rev share.
Is the 1k stay in just a retainer of 1k every month?
Yes, it is. Okay. Just so that they've, they've got skin in the game.
Yeah.
They don't just forget and bloody go away.
Yeah.
Good for your cash flow as well because that will build as you get more clients and it's just, just makes sense. It's a retainer.
Is rev share with sort of a threshold, are we saying? Because I only added the threshold in recently and that was mainly because I didn't want to come at them in terms of I want to take, take, take. I want them to feel like they've got a bit of juice themselves. I mean, so even if it is like a. I don't know, maybe, maybe not.
I don't know. But no, no, I would just do 30.
Yeah.
Flat 30.
Because end of the day, if I've. If I've got that, I'm. I'm gonna be working way harder than it is if I'm not getting anything.
And they still keep a lot. They keep 70%. And you do all bloody work, for God's sakes. You know, and if they just understand the math, if they trust you, understand the math they're in.
Yeah, they trust you.
They. They can see the freaking math. They. How can you not buy.
Yeah.
You know, I would even say that to them if someone gave me the object, I'd be like, dude, like, look, look, come like, come on, man. Yeah, you know, geez.
Yeah. No, it's true.
Yeah, Yeah. Those are your next few moves. So let's just come back to the problems. ICP isn't being attracted. So if they.
I think that's the main problem.
If they follow you, go to them.
Yeah.
With a customized video or voice note to build trust. Right. Or if best. Yes. If they're in your audience, you go to them. If they're not in your audience, you need to revise what you're saying and how you're saying it to get them. Outbound is being ignored. That's just part of the game, you know? I mean, our set rate is 12%. I think it's good. 12 people in 100. What? Do you know what your set rate is right now? For every 100 messages? How many calls you book?
No, no. And I would also pretend. Do you reckon I get a DM setter?
When you've got volume, yes.
Okay.
Yeah. Do it yourself for now.
Because I do cardio, and while I'm doing my cardio, I'll just reach out.
Yeah, yeah. Just do it yourself now.
Yeah.
People do it themselves. You. You'll always get that. That's just the nature of. Of the game. But if you warm them up properly before the call and you conduct the call properly.
Yeah.
You will close enough to not be bothered the best.
Like, if I try and, like, figure out what works in terms of my outbound and what I know, speaking to creator friends is it has you. I have to relate. And the only way I can relate in terms of. To a piece of their content. So it actually has to be like, I physically watched them. I can't, I can't just spray and pray. Spray and pray.
Stop spraying. Yeah, I try.
Don't, don't go on. I do still spray and pray.
We all spray and pray.
But yeah, the main one when I've spoken to a few creators about it is where they've. Everyone checks their message requests.
Everyone? Yes. Yeah.
Like everyone.
Yeah.
Regardless of how big you are, everyone checks them. And if it is like, oh, I help, I can help you build xyz, the chances are it's not getting a reply. Yes. Usually if it's like, oh, I've seen you in Bali, like, you having this problem. Oh, I can help you with that. Do you know? I mean, something that's like might not be related to my offer. That's been. That's helps.
Yeah, yeah, that's.
That's got me a quite a few big, big creators before, like in the pipeline.
It's funny, the guy that is coming next for a session today, his first message to me was like, will, you're in Bali. Have I seen you in Omni Gym? I was like, yeah. And it just stood out and just caught my attention.
Yeah.
Sounded real. And yeah. Just. It just stuck in my mind. It's funny, man. Those little relatable things, they stand out in a world of fucking stupid messages, you know, so.
Which does slow down that process. And it is very unscalable.
Well, yeah, it is.
But if we come back to what I first said is like four or five people which like true, like avatars could be making.
Yeah.
You know, you know the game.
Yeah. 100%. Yeah. It's. I, dude, I'm a big fan of doing the unscalable things.
Yeah.
Because that's the shit that no one does. And if you do what no one does, you get an edge. So 100%.
Yeah.
Can't afford it. We all get that our close rate on paid ads is 8%. But 92% of paid ads calls don't buy and we're still profitable. So can't afford it. You're always going to get that as long as you've got everything else so you can close as high as possible. Lack of understanding we talked about earlier and yeah, Avatar, keep it broad. Filter in the VSL filter on a call. Job done.
No.
Feeling, Feeling good, feeling organized.
Yeah.
What else you got for me?
Have a look. Sure. Niche down. Smile for too vague. Should it be more expensive with a payment plan in place? Feel like it Went smooth if you're not getting DMS up. But I'm not asking referrals. Yeah, yeah. I put something down. I mean we've kind of mentioned it about the different tiers. I put like potentially need to add tiers so different levels of creators feel more heard and respected.
Ah yeah. That's one thing that we forgot to cover so I wrote it down earlier. So do you know what we do in terms of our tiers?
No.
No. So we've got like group for 5k a month, 1 to 1 for 10k a month, done for you for 15k a month, us. And it's really nice man because people can kind of choose where they go and you. And you capture more sales as well.
Yeah.
You know, because if you only have like say the group, you lose the people that want one to one or done for you or vice versa.
Yeah.
So yeah, you could think about maybe then again, I mean for your offer. It's clean. It's clean. 5k to get in, 1k to stay in 30 rev share. It's clean.
Yeah.
I don't think you need tears.
What would you say? I'm just thinking based on maybe like some of the people that I've got on calls with recently, good following, maybe like circa 50 like around 50k followers let's say. How are you handling the. If I'm already getting an objection on the current price and I know that potentially is because of like not having the pitch deck, the visuals and making it like literally in front of them, if you don't pay me this money, you're going to lose this amount of money by not doing it sort of thing. How would you handle objection in terms of price? Like if they can't, let's say for instance say like Joey, I can't, I can't pay that 5k today.
Yeah.
How are you making that? Because it is, it's not just like a one time. It is a one time fee but it's not a one time. We're working together for a period of time. Do you know what I mean?
Yeah. Well if someone said to me, oh dude, Will. Yeah, I'm sorry man, I just can't do that. 5K. Yeah, I'd say okay, no worries. Well listen, I just want to check. Do you really want to do this? Probably say yeah, I really want to do it. Amazing. And truthfully, can you see how this is going to work for you? You probably say yes to that as well and say okay, cool. So it sounds like it's just the money and if the money works, you're in. And if the money doesn't work, you're not in. Is that true? They're probably going to say yes. Another way to say that is, listen, if this was free, would you be in right now? And everyone says yes. And then you say, okay, so it's just the money stopping you then?
Yeah.
So you're just trying to fucking clarify when you've done that. I need to stop swearing so much. When you've done that, then I would say to them, right, cool, well, listen, how would you feel about this? Let's just do half now, we'll get started. Yeah, we'll clear the other half in 30 days. I will scratch the first 1k fee that you would have paid. Half now, half in 30 days. And let's get cracking and make this thing real. What do you think? Does that help? And if I really liked them and really wanted them as a client, if they said no to that, the furthest I will go is three and be like, right, let's do this. 2K for three months, two now, two 30 days, two 60 days. But I can't do better than that because it's offensive to the other people that pay 5k. I had someone yesterday jump straight in at 5k and it's just not fair. Does that make it easier? And if they say no to that, they shouldn't be a customer in the first place.
And. Yeah, and that's where my head goes at the minute as well. It's like I've just had someone pay 2k flat, like, no issues. Yes, it came for a referral, but I've had that and now it's almost like I can't see myself going any lower than that.
No, no, no.
And even the one before it, they. I mean, they only paid 50% and they've halted the program. They've halted it, but they've paid essentially for a 2.25.
Yeah. And also if someone's going to pay 2k pounds, they'd pay 3k pounds.
Yeah.
And if someone's going to pay 3k pounds, that in USD is like four and a half, so you might as well be at five US.
Yeah.
You know, and then one customer is worth two anyway. More than two, you know.
Yeah.
And just one caveat, if you get someone that comes along and they are like, amazing, massive audience, you love them and they can't pay the fee, I would let them in for free.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like just depending on a few factors, you know?
Yeah.
What else on your Mind, dude,
You know, I feel like the. The biggest one was, am I targeting the wrong avatar? Is it a content problem? But I think we've already realized it is a content problem.
Yeah.
Because realistically, regardless of the avatar, like we've already said, if. If they've got a decent following size, they've got engagement, it's not fake.
Yep.
Then everything that I can do for them, they'd want to do.
Yep.
And that's just blunt.
Yeah.
People want to make money. They've got an audience. People want to make money. That's plain and simple.
Exactly.
How would you differentiate yourself to being, like, an authority? Because I feel like right now, and potentially it might have been the way that I was sort of being directed with content prior is more of like, oh, I'm still figuring this out. And I don't think that is really and truly, I don't think that's the right angle. Because if I'm trying to ask for 2k, 5k, and I'm my content saying, I'm. I'm out here trying to figure this out.
Don't say that. No one, do not say that.
And the thing is, I'm really. I'm not trying to figure it out. Yes. I might be trying to figure out this new system. System. But I've done half a mil with one of the biggest craters in the uk.
That's what you should be talking about.
Like, I know my.
Yeah.
I've just. It's getting out of my own head. Yeah.
Well, one of the first things you said to me today, I was like, what's the background? How long you been doing it? And you were like, gee, since, like, fucking. A long time ago.
Yeah.
And straight away my brain was like, gee, like, nosy shit is all in. Yeah, he's on the ball. And I kind of felt that click in my head as well. So you need to talk more about how long you've been doing it. The client that you just mentioned.
Yeah.
The money that you've helped people make. And if you want to have authority, authority is just about accolades. The biggest accolades that you have. And you need to try and get more as well. And this can be famous. People you've worked with, large amounts of money that you've made, the time that you've been doing it for as well is a big thing because most people are new to doing it and things like that. And the more accolades that you can stack, the more authority and the more authority, everything works better. And you can charge more as well.
Yeah. Mentioned it, but I don't know if we spoke too much about it. It's like after they've been pitched the idea and then running away with the idea, I don't. I think my gut feeling with that is like, I don't think we can do a whole lot.
No, not really. And also they're likely to fail.
Yeah. I guess the only thing to prevent that is just make my pitch deck and visuals and that so good that they almost feel like dumb that they can't go. And regardless of the idea, they can't go and do it.
Well, do not tell them what you're going to do. Right. So don't say to them, like, what we will do together is we will build a course.
Yeah.
And blah, blah, blah, we will launch it like this. Never do that.
That's what I'm doing.
No, no, come on.
I'm literally like breaking down each phase. So, like start like.
Yeah, no, don't do that. That's for your. This is called wow. Not how. You're giving the how. You've just got to give the wow instead.
Yeah.
So you would say to them, now what I usually do with clients on the first call that we have when you come in, then I. We break down what we're going to sell. Could be a course, could be a community, could be a coaching program, could be consulting, could be an event. We won't know until we are in and we do an audit session.
Yeah.
So that is basically saying the same thing.
Yeah.
But saying we will do that when you're in.
Yeah.
Right. And that's because then they can't, you know, if they ask any questions like, what do you think I should charge? Right. You'd say, really good question. Actually, that's the entire reason I have a training program. So you're going to go through that in module two, then we'll discuss that on our first session together. So don't worry about that. I got you covered.
Yeah.
You're not giving them the answer because then you'd be giving them the how and they can go and do it themselves.
Yeah. And also, like, once they know that much, it also then becomes another thing that they can just spiral.
Yes, exactly.
Because I might say something like, oh, we're going to try and extract some data from your story and then be like. And show them like a reference of like some story polls or questions. And like. Yeah, that might not resonate with them. And that might be the thing that tells them, no, I'm not paying.
Yep. Yeah.
And it could be something like Is that, that we just change. But they've seen that one thing. Do you know what I mean?
You have to be very careful with that. Like I, I see bad sales people planting objections, creating objections as well. Making the life harder.
Yeah. You know, because, because realistically the, the, the bottom line is this. You have an audience, you're broke. I'm the solution to making you money and turn this into like something that you're actually proud of. Not just oh yeah, I've got a few followers and like do what I mean.
Exactly.
Yeah. Yeah.
Was this, was this valuable? Do you feel a bit clearer now?
Yeah, yeah. I'll definitely say. Yeah.
This is a whole blueprint. You've got a lot to do.
Yeah, I've got, I've got, I've got a lot to do. But yeah, it's definitely. I would. Yeah. Is there anything that sort of stands at the. Where would you say the massive lever? I think my gut feeling with this is it is the content.
Yeah. I would agree. I think of everything on this board.
Yeah.
If I could give you the three most impactful things, number one would be systematic inputs on Instagram and YouTube specifically where you are regularly posting like a system making problem and solution content. That's number one. If you do that, that alone is going to be amazing. Number two is the VSL that pre call vsl and I would say number three is the sales call, pitch closing and wow. Not how thing and doing the math with them to sell them. If you did those three things and I'm going to add one more. Four is retargeting. Just do those, those four and you'll double and triple this business. No problem. Probably a lot, a lot further.
Yeah. Yeah.
You ready to get to work?
Vamos.
Amazing man. Anything else you want to cover? Are you feeling solid?
I don't think there's anything else.
I don't think so.
Yeah. Like I, I don't think there is anything else. Yeah. If I look at like even what I wrote down that I really wanted to, to focus on it was
I
guess the other, the only other thing.
Yeah.
Is because I know what I can do.
Yeah.
How do I make it like a no brainer? How does this become a no brainer?
It becomes a no brainer through doing the math with them.
Yeah. Yeah.
Right. And if you really want to make it a no brainer offering a guarantee, that's the only way to make it a no brainer. And I'm talking about the most ballsy guarantee you can offer if at any time you Feel like it's not for you, you get a full refund or questions asked.
Yeah.
Now I wouldn't offer that personally.
Yeah, right, yeah.
Because you'll just get people out. Right.
But if it is like a, if it is someone I am actually convinced, like. Well, yeah, there's conviction there.
Yeah.
Then it exactly.
Like I would keep that in my back pocket or carry on or I'll
still carry on working with you until we reach that.
Yeah. That's less of a no brainer. But it is still good.
Yeah.
Yeah. Like if you want to make it a goddamn no brainer, do that anytime. Any reason. But it's not ideal.
Yeah.
So only offer that. I mean personally I wouldn't offer it.
Yeah.
But because you can't really, you certainly can't guarantee anything.
No.
You know, it's just, that's just not possible to make a firm definite guarantee. It's not real. That's just not real life. But if you do want to make it a no brainer, you can offer in any time, any reason. But otherwise, dude, I don't really think you have to. Okay. You don't have to. If you do everything we've covered today.
Yeah.
You'll get a lot more people buying, better people buying, bigger people buying. And with the rev share alone, you're going to make a lot of bloody money. If this is worth half a million, one million plus to you.
Yeah.
When this is done properly. So yeah, I'll invoice for my 30%. Killer, man. Killer.
Yeah, I think, I think that's, that's really, I think, yeah. The only, the one thing that we mentioned about the American side of things because I don't know, I don't know why that's always just. I know how big that space is. Like I know tap into it.
Yeah.
Fly over there.
Yeah. Could do. Well, I just mean running reels to the U.S. running the target into the U.S. yeah. And just get them, grab them and pull them in. That's the best thing about ads.
And I guess the only, the extension to this sort of offer business would be your big creators who are like moving to Dubai or moving to Miami who are already running stuff and then helping them scale further. That's probably the only extension to this that I can kind of see fit because I've had it a few times like recently where they might already have like a high ticket coaching business. I know I don't really want to focus too much on that, but they might already have something and I potentially shut it down just because it's like I like to go from zero to one. That's my, that's what I, that's what I'm passionate about.
Yeah. I mean you don't have to help.
Yeah.
You know, but you certainly could if you wanted to. You. Yeah, maybe they come to you and they're like, dude, it's, it's not selling like it used to. Yeah, something's wrong. I don't know what. Go in and, go in and help them or if you don't want to send them to me and I'll do it.
Yeah, there's, there's one, there's one sort of niche that I'm doing at the moment. There's a, there's a, like an app or something like a gym app who are like trying to like take over like all the creators and like trying to offer them like I don't know what, I don't know what the deals or splits are but they basically launched their program for them like and do it challenge based programs. And I've been just tapping into like people that I've got them and just sort of like just on, just on it and saying like that that app's not going to care about you after that period, like contract period or whatever.
Yeah.
I say it in a better, like a nicer way of course. And I am getting replies through that.
That's good. Yeah, that's good.
It's true though cuz like I know how them type of like apps or whatever. It's more corporate and it's a number, it's a metric. Yeah, you're just a metric.
Yeah.
Whereas like I actually have. I care.
Yeah. So. Yeah.
Yeah.
Feeling good.
Feeling great.
Awesome.
Good stuff. Feeling absolutely great.
Awesome man.
Appreciate it man.
Big pleasure. Big pleasure. That was a fun session.
