Millions of followers and $0. Why content creators are broke

In this 30‑minute motivational‑business video, William Brown argues that most creators with large followings remain cash‑poor because they stay stuck in a "creator" identity and ignore the fundamentals of running a business. He shares his own financial track record (multiple six‑figure months, a $16.4 M exit) and a case study of his friend Joshua, who went from a modest £40 K annual income to £72 K a month by packaging his personal recovery from alcohol addiction into a high‑ticket coaching program. Brown outlines five "mindset traps" that keep creators in "creator mode": (1) obsessing over tools and logistics instead of selling, (2) undervaluing oneself and fearing premium pricing, (3) fearing public scrutiny and haters, (4) chasing virality over consistency, and (5) wearing too many hats leading to burnout. For each trap he offers a concrete fix: start selling immediately with a simple offer, shift self‑identity to CEO, develop thick skin and block negativity, prioritize daily content over occasional viral hits, and delegate or automate all non‑core tasks. He also provides a step‑by‑step action plan – pick a $2‑4 K offer, announce it on social, run sales calls, hire a sales rep, use a basic VSL funnel, and focus on one main task per day. Throughout, Brown mixes personal anecdotes, aggressive encouragement, and a sales‑pitch for his consulting program, urging viewers to book a call to unlock the money they already have in their audience.

Hey guys, it's Will, and if you are a content creator with a big following making less money than you deserve, you know that feeling late at night where you're scrolling and you see some dude with like 1/10 of your following printing money, and you're sitting there with an audience of people who followed you because you're truly great, you know, you create great stuff for them. Well, let me ask you this: why are you afraid to charge them? And turn it into a real business? Why not do what you love and get rich doing it? Selling is not a sin, okay? In this new world, you're allowed to spawn money out of thin air by putting your thoughts out into the world and then monetizing that attention. And that's what I'm here to teach you how to do the right way today. Because all these people that chose to follow you on X, on YouTube, on Instagram, whatever the platform, They chose to for a reason, and they also want you to personally help them, and they're willing to pay you money for it. Now, if you're at the gym and some pretty girl keeps staring at you and smiling, she probably wants your number, right? Well, maybe she thinks that you're funny looking, right? But moral of the story, talk to the girl. And your followers are no different. They're waiting for you to talk to them right now. They're waiting for you to make them an offer. And I'm going to teach you how to do that in the right way in this video today. The problem is that the same obsessive mind that grew your audience, right, that part of you that wakes up thinking about content and goes to bed looking at engagement, spends hours studying what people, uh, post and what works, that same part of you is actually destroying your ability to make $50K a month, $100K a month, even a million a month. You became a content machine. You turned off everything else to grow, and it's worked, right? You've built a great audience, you've built a loyal following, but now you can't turn the machine off. So you're locked into creator mode, right? So much so that you forgot to build an actual business. And deep down, you're starting to realize this. See, here's what nobody will tell you: you don't have a content problem. That's for sure. You have an identity problem. You still see yourself as a content creator. That's the problem. You need to see yourself as a founder, as a business person, as an entrepreneur, as a CEO. Now, you can't really picture what it's like to make $100K a month just from talking to people about topics that you love quite yet. And until that shifts, You're going to keep making content for people who are never going to pay you. You're going to keep making content that attracts freebie seekers, that attracts dopamine seekers. It's not attracting people with a painful problem, positioning you as the solution. And we're going to solve that in this video today. This is exactly why I'm making this video for you, to help you finally make the shift and start earning what you deserve to earn. The curse of being good at growing an audience is you get addicted to the growth. You get addicted to the dopamine of new followers, the validation of engagement. Meanwhile, some guy with 4,000 followers is pulling in over half a million a month cash because he spent his time building a business instead of chasing likes and chasing engagement and chasing followers. And I know that because that person is me. I hit my first $580K cash month January of last year, 2025, and I had 4,012 Instagram followers and 16,671 YouTube subscribers. I've met creators with 2 million followers plus more— what, 3, 4, 5 million followers— scraping by on $5K a month. From brand deals, just useless low-ticket rubbish, completely oblivious of how to turn views into cash, which is a skill that I've mastered. One of the things that I am best at in the world is getting attention and more importantly, turning it into a high cash flow business. Now, you follow these people online thinking that they're rich. They are more far from rich than you could bloody imagine. You wouldn't believe it. If you knew how poor they were. They're famous and they're broke, and they are terrified that someone's going to find out. And that may even be you right now, but it doesn't have to be. Today I'm going to break down the Joshua story, so my friend who went from $40K a year to $72K a month in 6 months by fixing one thing that you can use to achieve the exact same income growth. Then we're going to cover the 5 mindset traps that are keeping you stuck in creator mode instead of CEO mode. And I guarantee you, you're stuck in at least 3 of these. And if you fix them, you're going to watch your income blow up. Then I'm going to share the exact system to turn your audience into cash without burning out, without becoming some kind of course bro that you would cringe at. Any creator can do this, and it works almost every time. And this is not another how to make $10K a month video full of tactics that you're never even going to use. This is about rewiring the part of you that's been sabotaging your ability to turn your gifts into cash. By the way, guys, if you haven't subscribed already, I would really appreciate if you would do that for me. I spend a lot of time and effort and energy and thought making these videos for you. This video has taken the better part of 5 or 6 or 7 or 8 hours now, so I'd really appreciate if you would subscribe. You don't have to, but if you would, I would, I would really appreciate it. Now, why should you listen to me? Well, I scaled a coaching business to $824K a month and $16.4 million in total over 5 years. I exited that business to private equity, uh, just last year. I then scaled this new consulting business to $580K a month in just 9 months. I grew a 100,000-person YouTube and Instagram audience from zero in just 22 months, and I've made $8.2 million cash collected in that time. In 22 months, and I've helped 741 other people do this, uh, as well now in this consulting company. So let's get into it, starting with the Joshua story, from broke to £72,000 a month. Now, to make my point and start this video off, I need to tell you a story about my friend Joshua, not because it makes me look good— it actually makes me look like an idiot for not helping him sooner— but because his story is probably similar to your story. Now, I met this guy in high school, sorry, in primary school actually, and he was the first person to ever punch me in the face. We were in the playground, we were angry about something. I went over to him thinking that I was a, you know, smart guy, and smacked me in the face, gave me a black eye. Now, we both grew up pretty normal, lower middle class, same kind of household, same kind of place. My mum worked at a supermarket her entire life. My dad went from job to job, and fast forward to a couple of years ago, and I'm in Dubai living the life that I used to only dream about. And Josh messaged me one day, he said, Will, he messaged me on Instagram, and he said, Will, how the hell have you ended up in Dubai? How the hell are you a multimillionaire, you know, taking 7-week holidays, traveling around the world, flying first class, all this stuff? And I'm earning $30K a year living in the same town that we grew up in, not rich, single. I have a van and a house and a mortgage. Like, what the hell happened? How did you end up as a deca-millionaire in Dubai and I— like, nothing's changed for me in like 15 years. And I told him the same thing that I've been trying to get into his head for years. Every time I see him, I say to him, start an info business, start a coaching business. That's the only difference. Right? I, I'm, I'm, I'm not smart, I'm not talented, I'm just a normal person like any of you watching this video, right? It's just that I am in a very good vehicle and I've learned what to do within that vehicle, and this is what I teach you guys here on the channel for free. So you know what I said to the guy? I said, you know— no, sorry, he said, he said to me, well, I can't do that. How can I do that? I'm a plumber. I live in Clitheroe. I'm broke. I'll never be rich. No one in my family's ever been rich. I don't know how to make money. I don't know how to start an online business. What if people call me an idiot or a loser? What if people judge me? What if people mock me? What if it doesn't work? What if I fail? Now, maybe you can relate to some of those fears, those limiting beliefs, those days full of anxiety. Just know I got through them, my clients got through them, and you are not alone. These are the challenges that come with success. But here's what changed everything for Joshua, and hopefully it will for you as well. Now, we met at a pub about 6 months ago when I went home to my hometown to see my parents. I bought him a beer and I said something that broke through all of his BS. I said to him, look, dude, if you believe you can never be rich, If you believe you can never be successful, you're never gonna do the actions that lead to a better life, the life that you know that you can have, but you keep running away from. And he looked at me like he'd never looked at me before, and he said, wow, that's true. That's so true. I've spent all these years truly believing I can't be successful. And if we keep going farther back into the past, look, I've been starting businesses since I was a kid. I was making skateboard videos, filming them, editing them, selling them to my friends. I made a graffiti magazine. I designed it myself in Photoshop, interviewed writers, took pictures, got it stocked in art stores. I became a musician. I pressed my own records. I made my own merchandise. I became a trader and made an education company to help other people trade. And no matter what vehicle I chose, the common denominator was always the same. I believed that I could do it. I just blindly believed that I could do it. You can call it faith, you can call it delusional confidence, I don't care what you call it. I just need you to understand that there are thousands of vehicles that could make money, but none of them matter if you don't believe in yourself first. Because when you get an idea, you're either going to naturally lean towards that you can do it, or you're going to naturally lean towards that you can't do it., and that is your choice. And people that are pessimistic, that think things are a scam, that think things will never work for them— well, they are right, they are correct. It will never work for them because they won't do the work to make it work for them. There's a tongue twister for you. But me, I've always just had this stupid belief that anything I do will work, and because I've had that belief, I do things that accidentally lead to success in the end. Because I don't think things are a scam. I mean, some things I do, of course, right? You know, I don't think, oh, that could never work for me, or that's not real, or, oh, that's a lie, that's bullshit. I don't think like that. I think that looks like it's working for that person. Let me go and see how. Maybe buy an hour consulting session with them, talk to them, whatever, right? So it all starts with the mind. And are you a pessimist or an optimist? Because that in itself will impact whether you succeed in life or not. Now, if you look at me right now, okay, stop wasting your gifts because you refuse to claim them. You were given your gifts for a reason. It pisses me off to see people waste them, and it probably pisses you off too. The difference between me and Josh, my friend, is that when faced with uncertainty, I kept telling myself I can start a business. I can make money. I'm good with people. I can help other people do it too. If I keep going, surely I'm going to get there one day. I was actively programming my mind for who I wanted to be whilst he just drifted through life. So I gave him an exercise. I gave him something called an Alchemy of Self document, basically a life planning document. And this is in my training program. If you're a client of mine, go to the bottom of the training program and it's at the bottom in the personal documents section. And I made Joshua fill it out. We had a Zoom call 10 days later, and I looked at his vision board and his goals and his step-by-step plan, and I asked him, what talent, what skill, what knowledge could you package up to start your own online coaching business? For Josh, the answer was always right in front of him, but he needed some help to find it. He was a plumber not making great money. You can't really sell that, right? But he had a skill that was worth millions, and he didn't even realize that other people needed it. And that was conquering alcohol. See, one thing about Josh, he's very, very fit, he's very healthy, he's conquered his alcohol addiction a few years ago, and he'd done something that took a lot of mental toughness and hardship, something that a lot of people struggle with. So naturally he could help people with that. And when he realized this, he like lit up and he was like, oh my God, wow, yeah dude, that would be amazing. So I told him go and make one YouTube video a week, do one Instagram reel per day, build a program, charge this amount, get this software set up. I'll help you along the way. Let's see what happens. And that was— it was about 7 months ago now. Last month he made £72,000, British pounds, selling his stop drinking alcohol program. And the thing that pisses me off, why did it take him so many bloody years for that to happen? Such a waste of time. And he just needed someone to tell him what to do. And after we sorted his mindset and we built this stuff together, all of that money was unlocked. And the money was right there the whole time. All that time, that money was goddamn sat there waiting to be made. And for a lot of you people watching this today, probably the same for you, whether you've got one of these businesses or not. You know, there's so much money to be made, and if you don't know how, you're just not making it. You're just wasting time. Again, for many of you watching this, the money is also right there waiting for you to unlock it. You just got to get the knowledge and the action steps that you need to unlock it. So when are you going to finally unlock it? That's my question to you. Now, next, let's talk about the 5 mindset traps killing your income. Let me walk you through the exact mental blocks keeping you underpaid Despite probably having a massive audience. If you're watching this video, you probably have some kind of audience, right? That's the point of this video. And this is based on working with clients who have 100K+ followers but were stuck at under 10K for months or years. And I guarantee you're stuck in at least 3 of these right now. So mindset trap number 1, you're obsessed with the wrong problems. You're asking yourself, How do I grow my email list? Do I need to hire a funnel designer? Should I use ClickFunnels or Kajabi? What's the best CRM for my business? Should I run Facebook ads or YouTube ads? Dude, you don't even have a business yet. Someone got on a sales call with my sales team last week and they were like, yeah, I'll buy your program, I just need to do my CRM first. What are you talking about? That's like saying, you know, you don't own a car and you've never driven a car That's like saying, yeah, just— I better just go and get some petrol first just so that when I'm ready, when I've got my car— dude, learn to drive and buy a car first before you worry about petrol, right? Don't worry about email lists or funnel designers or CRMs or ads if you don't even have a bloody business yet, you know? Jesus Christ, you're avoiding the real work. That's what this is. It's just procrastination. Right? The work that requires scaling your fears of rejection, right? Sorry, facing your fears of rejection and failing and actually selling something. But selling is scary. That means putting yourself out there. That means potentially having people say no to you. It means potentially failing publicly. So people avoid that by convincing themselves that they need to figure out the funnel first or get the tech right first or build the perfect offer first. No, no, no. That's, that's just nonsense. You're just scared. And I was too, right? Everyone is when they start, but it takes reps and the only way forward is to go through and do it and do the hard stuff. And this is so hard alone, right? The lone wolf usually dies without the pack. So let me walk with you here. Now, mindset trap number 1 is the fix. Stop researching, stop making content, start selling. You don't need it. You don't even need a funnel. You don't, you don't even need a website at all. You don't even need a CRM. You need an offer and a way to collect payments. Here's what you're going to do today. Write a post on your platform, Instagram, X, YouTube community tab, Facebook, whatever it is. I'm taking on 5 clients to help them solve specific problem, right? It's $3,000 or $4,000 for 6 months. DM me if you want in. 'Not for more info.' That's too soft of a call to action, and you're going to attract time wasters. The word 'Do you want in?' is direct and serious, and it attracts direct and serious people. Okay, so you've— it's sometimes the words really, really, really matter. When someone DMs you, just push them to a call, right? Get on Zoom with them, explain how you're going to help them, ask for their goddamn credit card details, Take their money, deliver the result, give them the value, give them the transformation. Voilà, you've got a business. Do that 10 times, then worry about systems later. Get a sales script, write a pitch, make a basic pitch deck that's going to glue the call together. And sales is a really simple process. You're just going to ask them, right, what's the goal? What's the problem? What have you tried already? Why now? Why can't you do it on your own? Do you have the time? Do you have the resources? Then tell them how you can help, share the price, get them closed. You might have to objection handle a bit. That's completely normal, but that's the process. It's easy. And if you've never done this before and you're thinking right now, you're thinking, well, like, I don't have a sales script, I don't have a pitch, I can't objection handle. Well, go to my channel and go and watch, uh, the This Sales Script Is Unethical video. I made it about 6 or 7 months ago now, and that will walk you through exactly how to run a sales call. Okay, mindset trap number 2: you can't shift your identity and charge premium prices. So you've spent so long being the helpful content creator that you can't see yourself as the highly paid creator. And I know you might not be a salesman, right? But with a warm audience you barely need to sell anyway. So stop thinking, who am I to charge $4K? Because here's the truth: your audience already sees you as an authority, and they want to pay premium prices. The only person who doesn't believe that you're worth it is you. Your mind is blocking you. Not the world, not value, not your audience. You, you are your own worst enemy. All of the bad things that happen, they happen because of you. All of the things that go wrong. They happen because of your bad mindset. Your bad mindset, all that shit going around in your head, oh, this little thing that I'm gonna complain about, that little thing that I think is wrong, oh shit, now I've gotta do that thing that you don't even have to do. That is your mindset ruining your relationships, slowing you down, making people think you're a twat, right? It's all your brain, no one else, right? As the saying goes, The world is neutral. We color it with our brain, right? When you look at something and I look at something, we see it totally differently. I see it probably very positively and as a learning experience. You see it as a negative or a hardship or a big challenge or some shit like that. So let's carry on and let's get this solved together. Now, I see this all the time. People come to me and say, Will, I'm thinking about charging $2K for my program. Is that too much? And I'm like, dude, you should be charging $5K, $10K plus. They look at me like I'm insane. But then I explain the value equation, right? If your program can get someone a $100K result, charging $10K or $20K is a steal. That's like 10% or 20% of the outcome that you're selling, the cost per outcome, the CPO. But the problem is they've been consuming free content for so long yours and other people's, that they think, well, if I give so much away for free, right, how can I charge money for it? And the answer is implementation is worth 10 times more than information. That's what you're really selling. You're selling certainty, control. You know, like when people work with me, they can be calm in the fact that I know what I'm doing, and that brings a lot of certainty. It brings a lot of calm. Because I can solve pretty much every problem that, that there is when it comes to these businesses, right? And that's what I am selling to you. I'm selling certainty, I'm selling control, I'm selling predictability, right? Because I've done it so many times and made so much money for so many people. So we're not just selling information, we're selling proper strategy and structure, personalized guidance, accountability, faster results. And that is worth 5K, 10K, 20K all day long to the right person. Okay, now here's the fix. Your identity needs to shift from creator to CEO. Not just making content. You're running a business and businesses charge what they're worth. Now here's an exercise. Write down every single result that your program delivers or your consulting delivers or your course delivers or your coaching program delivers. Every transformation people experience, every outcome people will achieve, every skill that they're going to learn and put a monetary value on each one. So if you're teaching someone to stop drinking alcohol, stop ruining their body and their mind and their relationships and their life, what is a life of happiness and health and stability and longevity worth to the right person? Well, to the right person, it's worth $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000, $25,000+ easily. Easily, right? If you're teaching someone to master a hobby that they live for, like wildlife photography, which is their only sanctuary in life. It's where they get all their peace and happiness and fulfillment and joy from. The thing that brings them all of that peace and fulfillment. Well, what is a life well lived worth? Again, to the right person, not to everybody, but to the right person, that is worth $5K, $10K, $15K plus easily. Or if you're teaching someone to meet their dream partner and have an amazing life with them and marriage and kids and absolute love and fulfillment, What is that human experience worth? To the right person, that is worth $5K, $10K, $15K plus, easily, easily. Understand what you're really selling and the true long-term value. You're not selling stop drinking, you're selling 15 years of extra life and a happy marriage and a good relationship with your kids and your friends and a bigger, better business, on and on. You're not selling wildlife photography. You're selling like happiness and peace and just the thing that you love and your passion and all the great things that come with it. You know, McDonald's is not a food company, it's a real estate company. Most people know that by now, but you know, McDonald's make most of their money not from food but from owning the land that the restaurants are built on and the franchising fees. And on and on. Yes, they make a bit of money from food, obviously, of course, right? That kind of thing. Now, yes, writing isn't worth 5K to some random person on the internet that's not really interested in writing, but to someone whose father was a writer and they lost their father at age 12 and now they live to write and master the craft, 5K is nothing. Yes, getting a six-pack is not worth 5K to some random person on the internet not really interested in fitness,. But to someone whose mother died due to being unhealthy and eating and drinking badly, and now they live for health and want to master the craft of health and fitness, 5K is nothing. When I tell people that one of my programs costs $35,000, people say to me, oh, no way, that's mad. $35,000? Who's going to pay that? That's ridiculous. That's a scam. Who has $35,000 to spend? But what about my client Andy Zoltan, who bought it and made $4.5 million cash in 2 years? Or Dr. Michael Diamonds, who bought it and went on to scale to a quarter of a million a month cash? That's almost $3 million a year, right? What about David Bragg, who bought my program and grew his coding boot camp to over a million a month cash? And by the way, if you haven't been to the William Brown Testimonials YouTube channel yet, go and watch some of those stories of these people. All those people have testimonials on there that you can see their face, their real name, their businesses, their numbers, you know. So it's— there's so much more to this stuff than just the price on the surface. That's what I'm trying to say. You know, I've transformed people's businesses and lives. I've made— brought people into millionaires. I've changed the world through my clients' products and services. $35K is a drop in the ocean compared to the value that I bring people. So just understand You're not selling to everyone. You only need 1 in 100 people to pay you $5,000, and you'll be a millionaire in 1 to 2 years, if not sooner. Never forget that. 1 in 100, less even, that's all you need to become rich. Mindset trap number 3 is the stress of being a public figure and that heaviness paralyzing you. People are gonna copy your content. Haters are gonna leave nasty comments. Competitors are gonna try and sabotage you. Opportunists are gonna try and exploit you. People are going to DM you trying to sell you shit. People are going to resell your stuff. They're going to buy your course and start reselling it. That happens to, to us all at one stage. And fans are going to turn on you the second that you do something that they don't like. This is the dark side of having an audience that no one talks about. It's going to happen. It's all going to happen. The bigger you get, the more targets appear on your back. And if you're not mentally prepared for this, it's going to destroy you. I've seen creators with massive audiences completely collapse. Under this pressure. They stop posting, they stop showing up, they disappear. But here's the thing, this is the price of success. Every successful person deals with this. Every big person that you know, that you follow, they've had psycho customers try and like, I don't know, talk shit about them, write bad reviews that aren't even true about them, make, I don't know, whatever stupid people do these days. They get called a scam, uh, people hate them because they're successful. This is just the world that we live in. That's just the price that you've got to pay. Alex Hormozi, right? He had 8 people sue him in January last year alone. One month, 8 people sued him in one month. People are actively suing the biggest guy in the business space who's loved, in my opinion, he's loved by almost everyone. When I think of Hormozi, I think number one in the space, globally loved and respected. Uh, you know, amazing content. And yet there's people out there that fucking hate him so much. He's had death threats. He's had people— I don't know whether you know this— he's had people when he's doing a mastermind, he's had people say, Alex, I'm coming to that mastermind, I'm going to kill you. He's had that with, with Layla. I saw it on Layla's YouTube channel. She made a video about it a few years ago. There's people out there that hate Alex Hormozi so much they want to fucking kill him, right? He's— 8 people sued the guy in one month. He's probably got, I don't know, I don't know, who knows, 10, 20, 30, 40 active lawsuits at one time. But he's going to be a billionaire, so that's the price. Do you want to pay that price? Obviously, if you're just making $50K a month, you're not probably going to deal with a lot of that, but, but there you go. Now here's the fix. Understand that that's the price of success. You need to develop thick skin and learn to ignore that 99% of the noise And here's how I do this. I do not read comments on my post ever. I post and I leave it. My assistant reads it and flags anything important. I block people liberally. If someone's being a twat, I just block them. I don't even think about it. I just block. Fuck off, right? I never waste time trying to win an argument with a stranger on the internet. If someone says something stupid to me, I do not reply. I do not reply. I just focus on my mission and I know why I'm doing this and I know who I'm helping and I know the impact that I'm making. And that is all that really matters. I truly believe that this is my purpose in life and I love it. Plus, the money's pretty decent too. When you see your bank balance going up by 3, 4, 500 grand a month, it does calm you down a lot, to be honest, and just remembers that Members, remember that haters are a sign of success. If you have haters, congratulations— I can't speak today. If you have haters, congratulations, you're doing something right. Nobody wastes time hating on losers. Nobody hates losers because they're losers. Like, oh, you're a loser, go away. But when someone is winning, you know, your success will annoy people because it reflects how badly they are doing. That is what creates the hate. It's not you, it's them. Like I was saying earlier, everything in life is neutral. We color it with our beliefs. We color it with our experiences. If you have a lot of hate and you know that you're meant for more, but you're not becoming more because of your actions and your mind, and you see people doing well, that's just neutral. They're just a human doing well. But you perceive that as, oh, fuck, like, that should be me, that could be me, but I'm not doing it. And then that's where the hate comes up, and then you start to project that hate onto them. So it all comes from within, and you've got to fix that within-ness, if that's even a word. One way to do this is surround yourself with winners, right? I only have a very small group of really good personal friends and also mentors. I still have mentors to this day. Who get it. They understand the game and they've been through it. And when I'm feeling stressed, I talk to them and they always have my back. And I'm there for my clients in that way as well. And a lot of my clients become friends. I run a mastermind specifically for people like me, like us, right? And if you're still watching this video at this point, this far in, then you're part of my tribe. And I thank you for that. And I love you for that, right? You should come to one of the masterminds, by the way. I'd love to meet you in person. The next one is the Bali Boardroom in April this year, 2026. I'll put the link in the description. So you can check that out if you want to come. But bottom line, focus on your mission, serve your clients, build a network of like-minded others, keep your circle small, attend events to gain connections and friendships, and just ignore everybody else. Just fucking ignore them. Just ignore them, man. One thing that I find, it is so much more powerful to say nothing, right? I just say nothing. Any stupid shit, I just say nothing. Nothing at all. And I never will. Mindset trap number 4: you feel pressure to go viral with every post. You post something, it doesn't blow up, you feel like a failure. You don't post for a week. Meanwhile, your competitors are posting on regular systemized schedules and making millions. That's the diff— that's the difference. Here's the thing: virality is unpredictable, consistency is not. You can't control whether a post goes viral, but you can control whether whether you show up every day. And over time, consistency beats virality because virality is a spike. It's a one-time hit and it feels really good. It does feel great, but then it's gone. Consistency is compound interest. It's just slow, it's boring, it's fucking painful sometimes, but it works. And that's why every week I post a YouTube video, same day, same time. Never missed an upload in 2 and a half years, and I never will. Right, until I'm a billionaire. Now I'll probably stop. That's going to take a few more years, so, uh, to say the least. Now I've been making YouTube videos for years. Some get 100K views, some get 5K views, some get 3K views, some get a quarter of a million views. But you know what? I post anyway because I know that over time the cumulative effect of consistent posting is what builds a real audience, not one viral video. Here's the fix: stop trying to go viral, start trying to be consistent. Post every day for 90 days, depending on the platform— caveat— and watch what happens. You don't need to hit, you know, you don't need every post to hit. You need volume. One viral post a month, or even every other month, is worth less, right, than 30 solid posts that get moderate engagement. Why? Because the algorithm rewards consistency, because your audience gets used to seeing you every day, because you build trust over time. And trust is what converts followers into customers, not virality. Again, I make one YouTube video a week. That's my one thing. I film it, I upload it, I move on. I don't know, I don't barely even look at the freaking views these days. I don't refresh the page to see if it's doing well. I don't, I don't even split test titles or thumbnails. I just do my best There you go, that's my best. Good, good luck. See you next week, right? I don't stress if it doesn't blow up. I just make the next one. And over time, the channel grows, the views compound, the audience builds. Slow and steady, steady is fast. Don't give up, do not stop, keep doing good work, and the people and the purchases will come. I feel like Tony Robbins today. Mindset trap number 5: you're wearing 8 hats and losing your mind. This is the biggest killer of content creator businesses. You're the customer support, fulfillment coach, content creator, web designer, sales guy, DM setter, marketer, editor, and you wonder why you're burned out. It's because you're trying to do everything, and as a result, you're doing nothing well. Here's what happens: you get a new client, which is a big win. Now you're too busy fulfilling to create content, then you lose. So your content stops, your leads dry up, your revenue stops. Or drops, then you panic. So you start creating content again, which is a win, but now you're neglecting your clients, which is the lose. So they churn and they ask for refunds and they leave bad reviews and on and on. So you're stuck in this vicious cycle of win-lose, win-lose. And this is the double-edged sword phase, and it's where 99% of content creators get stuck forever. So here's the fix. Stop trying to be Mr. Business Funnel Guy. Your job is to create content. That's what drives the business. Everything else, delegate it, automate it, simplify it. Now here's what I did when I was in this phase so that you can copy what I did. I hired a sales rep. I taught them my sales script. They took the calls. I focused on content and ads as well. Then I hired a setter to manage my emails and my social media inboxes. They field the messages, they book the calls, they answer the questions for me. I have a simple booking calendar, no fancy funnel. Just use Calendly, a white page with a video and a calendar. Keep it simple, stupid. And I focused on what I'm best at: creating content and doing consulting. Everything else I delegated or eliminated. And when I hate something, I just hire someone to do it. It's literally that simple. And by the way, you need a team. Don't— I mean, you can be a one-person business if you want, and it can work to a degree, But if you want peace and focus and consistency and longevity and stability, you need to hire a team. You just need to hire a team, man. Full stop. Fact. And I've learned that the hard way in my last business, in this business as well. So the fix— guess what? My business grew faster when I hired a team. Why? Because I was doing more of what I'm good at, what pushed the business forward, less of what I'm bad at. Everything else. So focused on what you are best at, creating content that attracts clients, and let someone else handle the back end and all the stuff that you're not the best at or that you don't want to do. Also, it gives you an edge when you're not good at something and you hire someone who's amazing at it. Your business will grow and you get your time back and your focus back and your peace back as well. So let's talk about the double-edged sword phase and how to escape it. Let me explain this in more detail because this is where most content creators are stuck right now. Here's the phase you're in: every time you, you get a new client, you win. You simultaneously stop producing content because you're too busy fulfilling. You lose. You can't scale past $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000, $25,000, $30,000 a month because your success makes you too busy to keep scaling. This is the double-edged sword phase, and it's a trap because the more successful you get, the less time you have to do the thing that made you successful in the first place— creating content. So growth plateaus, you hit a ceiling and you can't break through. And I've seen creators hit $20K a month and be stuck there for years, which is madness to me, but, but it happens regularly. Why? Because they're too busy fulfilling to create content, and without content they can't get new clients, so they plateau. They don't want to hire a team because it's new to them and they're scared, and they don't want to learn, but you've got to do these things to grow. You've got to build a real business, right? And that's what we're here to talk about today, is going from, you know, $10K, $20K a month content creator, if that, if that, to $100K a month, half a million a month. You know, we are not too far off a million a month cash now in this consulting business that I run, and it's because of all the kind of stuff that you don't see really. You know, you guys don't really get to see the ops of the tracking and the projections and the team and the meetings and the systems That kind of stuff is like what you don't see, but that's the most important part. It's a big part anyway. So here's the solution. There you go. You need systems and funnels running in the backend whilst you focus on what you do best, create content and drive the business, right? And you need a simple VSL funnel that prequalifies leads, a sales rep who closes the calls for you, a streamlined onboarding process, a scalable group program, or some or all of those components. And that way you can keep creating content which drives the business without getting bogged down in operations. And the business will grow the most when you have systems and funnels in place that run in the backend whilst you do what you do best— create content. That's what drives the business the most. Now let's talk about the gap in the market and why you are the perfect person for this. Here's something most people don't realize. There's no one teaching content creators how to actually monetize their audiences. Everyone teaches, here's how to grow your audience. No one teaches, you have an audience, now what the fuck do you do with it? There's no school or program that teaches you how to be a content creator or what to do when you become a micro-influencer in a niche space and how to turn it into a business. That's the gap, and that is what I specialize in. Now, most coaches teach B2B stuff, so how to run ads, how to do cold outreach, how to build an agency, all that bullshit, right? But you're a content creator. You don't want to learn Facebook ads. You don't want to do cold outreach. You don't need to build an agency or something like that. You just want to turn your existing audience into cash. And nobody is teaching that except me because I've done it. I've helped so many people do this now, really famous people as well. For example, Jordan Welch, the famous YouTuber. He's one of the biggest online money influencers in the world, millions of followers. And subscribers. He's phenomenal at e-com, that's his world, but he had no idea how to turn his YouTube audience into a high cash flow online education business until he worked with me. Same with Charlie Morgan as well, same with Nero Knowledge, same, same with all the other famous people I've worked with now. They all had big audiences, they all knew their stuff, they all had the ability to help people, but they didn't know how to monetize it through high ticket, through front end and back end systems, high impact programs multiple product tiers. And this is the stuff that I've given them, basically, that's, that's helped them progress and go further. That's where I come in. And this is why most people fail and how to avoid it. Okay, now let me be blunt. Your problem isn't traffic— you've got an audience. Your problem isn't attention— people are watching your content. Your problem isn't even the offer— you know what you could sell. The problem is you. You're getting in your own way. You are undercharging because you don't believe you're worth more, avoiding the real work by obsessing over logistics. You're stuck in the double-edged sword phase, paralyzed by the stress of being what you consider to be a public figure. You're burned out from wearing too many hats, and you're too scared to just go for it and do what needs to be done, basically. And until you fix your brain, until you fix your mindset, until you fix all the shit that you're projecting onto the world and to other people, no amount of tactical advice is ever going to help you. I can give you the best funnel in the world. I can teach you how to run ads. I can write your sales scripts. But if your mindset is fucked, none of it's going to work because you'll just sabotage yourself, right? You'll just get angry at people unnecessarily. You'll burn bridges. You'll piss people off. You know, and it's just not a nice place to be. You will find a way to make it not work. You probably either are, or you probably either have found a way to make it not work already. You're going to get in your own way and you're going to stay stuck unless this changes. So here's the brutal truth: most people fail because they don't know what they don't know. They try to figure it out themselves. They don't follow a proven system. They refuse to invest in coaching, or if they do invest in coaching, they just go and fuck it up and self-sabotage it anyway. Or they give up before it works. That's one of the most common things. People are making progress, they're doing well, they're learning, and for some reason they talk themselves out of it. They get scared. Even something I saw recently, someone's girlfriend talked them out of it. We had a client in our program, and every time I spoke to the guy, he was like, my girlfriend says that doesn't look nice. My girlfriend says I shouldn't charge that high. My girlfriend said my funnel doesn't look nice. My girlfriend said I should post more often. What the fuck does your girlfriend know? How many fucking 8-figure businesses has she built, right? She's probably— ah, let's not get into it. Let's not get into it. But it's just mad, the shit that people let get in the fucking way. That was a passionate outburst there for me, wasn't it? But honestly, it just annoys me so much, man. People are so stupid. This stuff is so simple. Learn what to do, do it, and be patient and fix problems. It's so simple, man. So simple. And they let fear paralyze them or they let people talk them out of what to do, or they skip critical steps or they charge too little. So those are all the mistakes and reasons why people fail. Here's the solution. Work with someone who's been there and done it, someone who's helped hundreds of content creators just like you turn their audience into 6, 7, even 8-figure businesses. Someone who understands the unique psychology of being a creator and how to navigate it. This is what I do, right? And if you're serious about finally monetizing your audience, hit the link in the description, apply to work with me, book in a call, have a word with one of my team members, and we will turn your followers into cash, right? No more time wasted because your audience will buy things. And if you don't sell it to them, somebody else will. And they're probably one of my clients that is just going to suck up your, your audience and your income. Slow is steady and steady is fast. Now, before I give you your action plan, I just want to share one more thing. And this is a philosophy. It's a way of operating. It's changed everything for me. Slow is steady, steady is fast. Now, in the past, I've been guilty of having a lot of work to do and just getting overwhelmed and not knowing what to do, not knowing where to start. And maybe you feel like this right now. Maybe you think like, well, where do I even start, man? Like, what's the first thing that I need to do? And one hack that has massively helped me is just do one main thing per day. And I've learned this the hard way, right? For the first few years of my first business, I just worked relentlessly, 7 days a week, man, 8, 10, 12 hours a day for years on end. I genuinely mean that. I genuinely mean that, man. I used to work every single day for years. Like, hand on heart, that is not an exaggeration, right? And sometimes you've just got to get rid of friends, get rid of family, get rid of distractions, and just fucking go in. Just go all in. And there's a season for that, right? And it is hard, it is stressful, and you can burn out, and it can be lonely, and it can mess up your life and your health and your relationships, right? It did for me. It was worth it, but it did for me. But then I found a better way, and the better way is what I do now. And I just do one thing per day. So today's Sunday, it's currently, it's currently, uh, 20 minutes past 12, actually, in the afternoon. And today my one thing is to make a YouTube video, do the title, do the video, do the thumbnail, and upload it. Done for the day. That's it. This is that video. When I finish this, I'm gonna upload it, do the thumbnail, schedule it in, I'm done for the day. I'm gonna go get in the swimming pool, have a cigar, have a, have a whiskey, relax. Yesterday my big thing was to build out all the scripts for my upcoming micro YouTube channel challenge, which is happening in April. Took me about 3 hours, maybe 4 hours, just sat there full 100% focus, getting all the copyright before it goes to the designer. That was my one thing, nothing else. If you just do one thing but every single day, you're gonna get further ahead than you are by trying to do everything. That's my point.. And I've done both. I've had periods where every day I work all day, and I did that for months and years, and you'll get a lot done, but it's harder, it's more intense, your health goes downhill, your relationships go downhill. It's not a healthy way of operating, but there is a season for that. But this is more of a slow is steady, steady is fast way of operating. So if you want to scale to real big heights and not burn out and stay in the game and go far, this is a very good way to do that. Okay. When you've only got one thing per day to do and you do that one thing very, very, very well, you do it with focus, it's going to be better quality and it's going to be more impactful. So it's funny, slow and steady is actually fast because most people don't do that. So doing that, it does give you an edge. I want to outlast my competitors, right? When my competitors eventually give up or burn out or move on to some other shiny object or business, I want to be the guy that's just slowly still putting out quality stuff helping people, adding value and progressing. And I want to be the one that lasts and goes the furthest because of compound interest. We've all seen those compound interest graphs, right, where it's like slow, slow, slow, slow, painfully slow, or a little bit— oh, still mad slow. Oh my God, is it ever going to work? I give up. But it's just before the big spike. YouTube is like that. Relationships are like that. Money and investment is like that. Hiring is like that. Scaling is like that. It's all like that. So those are a few things that I use to make sure I'm not distracted, I'm not too stressed, and I just slowly keep doing the right things all the time with focus, doing things well, doing things in a quality manner. And through that great work, your business is going to scale as you just slowly keep chipping away. Now let me leave you with an action plan and what to do right now. Here's what you need to do today. Stop researching, start selling. Pick one offer, charge at least $2,000, post a call to action, get on calls, close deals. Don't wait for the perfect funnel, just post I'm taking on 5 clients. Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to help you with this. It's $2K for 6 months. DM me if you're in. See what happens, right? If you've got a big enough audience, you're almost certainly going to get leads and calls and sales, right? But even if you've got a small audience, that's the starting point. Okay, shift your identity. You're not a content creator anymore. You're a CEO running a business. You're an entrepreneur. Start thinking like an entrepreneur. Start acting like one. Start pricing like one who values what you do. Develop thick skin. Accept haters, copycats, snakes. They're part of the game. Ignore them. Keep moving. Block liberally. Do not engage with negativity. Focus on your mission. Focus on consistency, not virality. Post every day for 90 days on more short-form platforms like LinkedIn, X, Facebook. You can do, you know, Instagram, YouTube. I would just do 1 to 2 videos a week, same day, same time. Volume beats virality. One main thing per day, that's all you need to do. Keep progressing. Delegate everything that isn't content creation. So hire a sales rep, outsource your editing, automate your onboarding. Focus on what you do best. Your job is to move the needle, do the thing that you are best at. Everything else you can hire somebody else to do. Build systems that run without you. So simple VSL funnel, sales call, group program, scalable business. Don't need complexity, right? Just simplicity that works and scales. Or you can do consulting, by the way, if you want to do that instead. Just do one thing today, not 10 things, one thing. What's the one most important thing you can do today to move your business forward? Do it, stop. Tomorrow, do one thing, stop. Next day, do one thing, stop. Slow is steady and steady is fast. Final thoughts for this video: you've already done the hard part. You've built the audience. You've You have the attention, you've got the trust. Now you just need to turn it into money. And the only thing stopping you is your own mindset. So let me ask you this. Are you going to keep making excuses or are you going to finally step up and build the business your audience deserves? My friend Josh went from $40K a year to $72K a month in about 6, 7 months. Not because he's smart, not because he learned some secret, because he fixed his mindset and then did what I just told you to do. And you can do that too. The money's right there waiting for you. When are you going to unlock it? That's my question. If you're ready to stop playing small and start making real money from your audience, hit the link in the description, book in a call with my team, and I will show you how to turn your followers into cash. And remember, some people will watch this video and overthink it for 7 months. Other people will watch this video, book a call, join my program. In a few months, they're going to be printing money. Which person are you? Good luck.
