You need 200 views to make $10K a month, here's proof

William Brown shows how 200 views can make $10K a month if you convert 1% at your price. He earned $8.2M in 22 months from a small channel by posting raw, unedited videos instead of polished content, and a client named Jordan Welch made $150K to $1M the same way.

Hey guys, it's Will, and here's what I'm going to show you in the next few minutes. First, the exact revenue formula that's made me $8.2 million in the last 22 months from this very YouTube channel that you're watching right now, despite my tiny video views, a few thousand per video if that. And this is a formula so simple you can actually calculate it on a napkin in about 30 seconds, and this will show you how you can make $10,000 a month plus selling coaching or consulting with just 200 views per YouTube video. And then second, why everything you've been told about YouTube is completely backwards. Most of it is a complete lie made up to frustrate you and leave you lost and stuck. And I'll prove that with real data from real tests, not theory. And third, the embarrassing truth about why I hold a coffee cup in every single video that I make, and why that same flaw might be worth $20,000 or more per video to you if you learn this and you copy it, which I hope you will. If you're a coach, consultant, or expert selling high-ticket coaching or consulting— that, and that means really $2,000 to $3,000 or more— stay tuned. But I need to warn you about something. Ignore the gurus. They are lying to you. What I'm going to teach you in this video goes against pretty much everything that you've ever heard about YouTube ever, and it contradicts what the algorithm experts preach. It contradicts what the gurus say. It contradicts what feels logical as well, but it works, and I'm going to prove it to you with math. Simple math, the kind that you can do on a napkin. Now here's the thing, in my previous business that I used to own, I made £16.4 million in total over just above 5 years, which sounds impressive, right? But here's what nobody knew. I was spending 6 figures a month on paid ads, sometimes multi-6 figures a month. And by the time I paid for ads, agencies, acquisition costs, my profit margin was somewhere between about 30% to 40% depending on the month. In my new business that I currently run and own, we have an 84% profit margin or thereabouts depending on the month, with pretty much zero ad spend. Same level of knowledge, same skill, different vehicle. And that vehicle is what I call a micro YouTube channel. The foundation of everything I'm going to teach you today comes down to one idea. Write this down: the right 200 views will always outpay the wrong 200,000 subscribers. And that's not opinion, that's math. And I'm about to show you exactly how the math works. So let's get into it. Now here's what most people believe about YouTube: oh, I need to crack the algorithm. Oh, I need to post more content. I need better thumbnails. I need more subscribers. I need better editing. I need more views. And it sounds logical. Doesn't it? More views equals more money, right? Post more, earn more. Better production, better results. But here's what I've discovered through years of testing with myself and with my clients: that is completely wrong. It's not true. It's completely backwards. And if you do that, you're not going to make more, you're going to make less. The more I chased views, the fewer sales calls that I booked. The more I edited, the worst my videos performed. The more I posted, the less I made. And I know that sounds insane, and I know it sounds illogical, but I tested this thoroughly, not just with myself, with a batch of clients. Scientific testing in real life. And this is what we found: by doing more, we got less, much less. More posts meant fewer leads, more editing meant fewer calls, and more effort meant less money. So who's teaching people this nonsense? I'll tell you who. People who say just post more content. That is the true villain in this story, the just post more crowd. And it's not just bad advice, it's expensive advice because it costs you time, it costs you money, it costs you sanity, and it doesn't work as well. So it's harder to get less. Stop scripting and editing your videos. Today I'm going to show you a different way, a way where 200 views can generate $20,000 or more, a way where you post one video per week, a way where you don't script anything, a way where you don't edit anything. And if that sounds too simple, good, because it is simple. That's the point. Because here's what the just post more crowd doesn't understand: you're not trying to build a massive audience. You're not trying to be a YouTuber. You're not trying to get famous. You're trying to book sales calls and close sales calls. You're trying to fill your calendar with people who will pay you $8K, $10K, $15K, $25K, even $50K for your coaching or consulting services. And for that, you do not need 200,000 subscribers. You need the right 200 viewers. That's it. Hopefully that makes sense so far. Let me show you exactly how the math works. And by the way, guys, if you haven't subscribed yet, I would really appreciate if you would do that for me. I put a lot of time and effort and energy and thought into making these videos for you for free, and that would just, uh, pay me back essentially. So I'd appreciate if you do that for me. Now, why should you listen to me? Well, I've scaled the coaching business to $824K a month and $16.4 million in total, uh, over just above 5 years. I exited that business to a private equity firm in America last year. I've scaled my new consulting business to $580K per month in just the first 9 months. I've grown a 100,000-person YouTube and Instagram audience from zero, from scratch, in just 22 months. And I've made $8.2 million cash collected in that time and helped 741 other people, uh, do this too. Now let's talk about the 200-view math. Okay, let me show you the math. That changed everything for me. And I want you to actually write this down. So pause the video, get a pen, get a napkin, get your phone, right? Whatever. Just write this down because this is the formula that is going to change how you think about YouTube forever. And if you write it down, it will really sink in. 200 views, 1% conversion, $10,000, or insert whatever your price currently is at $10K, that's $20,000 per video. 2 sales in 200 people. Look at this, 200 views. That's it. Not 200,000, not 2 million, 200. If 200 people watch your video and 1% of them book a call and buy your, let's say, $10,000 offer, that's 2 people. One video has just made you $20,000. Now let's play with the numbers. What if your offer is, say, $5,000? Well, it's $10,000 per video. What if your offer is $25,000? Well, it's $50,000 per video. What if you get 500 views instead of just 200? Well, now you're looking at 5 buyers at $10,000 each. That's $50,000 from one single video. This is napkin math. A child could do this. And yet most people are out here chasing millions of subscribers. Like that's the goal. Question for you: do you want fame or do you want income? Let me ask you something. Would you rather have a million subscribers and zero sales, or 200 viewers and $20,000? Now, it seems obvious when I put it that way, doesn't it? But here's what happens. People get seduced by the big numbers. They see YouTubers with like millions of subscribers and they think, oh, that's the goal, that's success. Look at all the views, look at the subscribers, they must be making money, right? Wrong, wrong. I know that for a fact because these guys— we had a guy last week, obviously I won't say names, but we had someone with like 4.1 million Instagram, uh, followers and a smaller YouTube channel. He wasn't even making $5,000 a month. Wasn't even making $5,000 a month. Millions, million. How? I— how? Right. But, and equally on the other side of that I've had clients in the past who've done $20K, $30K, $40K per month with a YouTube channel with 2,000 subscribers. Again, that get 200 views, 700 views, 400 views, 900 views, 300 views, and they're making tens of thousands of dollars. So don't be distracted by vanity metrics. That is a vanity metric. You're not trying to be a YouTuber. You're not trying to be a content creator. Fucking hell, come on. You're trying to make money. You're trying to book sales calls. You're trying to fill your calendar with people who want to pay you $10,000, $25,000, $50,000. And for that, you don't need millions of anything. You need the right 200 people. That's what the just-post-more crowd will never understand, because they're playing a different game. They're playing a game where views matter, where subscribers matter, where the algorithm matters. And that is not our game. Our game is simple: find 200 people who have the problem that you solve, speak directly to them, and let 1 to 2% of them become your clients. That sentence is so important. 200 people who have the problem that you solve. You speak directly to them in your videos about their pains, their problems, their desires, their situation. And believe me, over time, 1 to 2% of them will buy from you. And if you charge $5K, $10K, $15K, the right people will pay that. That is the whole game. That's the real game. The right 200 viewers will always outpay the wrong 200,000 subscribers. That's not opinion, that's math. Can you see how that changes things? Because now, look, I didn't just come up with this theory in a laboratory, right? I discovered it by accident. Let me tell you the story of how I stumbled onto the power of 200 right viewers. Before I figured this out, I was doing everything right. I was making edited videos, scripted videos, multiple camera angles, fancy lighting, expensive thumbnails. I was paying editors. I was following all the advice. And you know what I got? Pretty much no views, pretty much no sales, nothing. I was burning money and getting nowhere. And then one day something changed. So I was having a coffee downstairs with a woman who was telling me about her business. This was back in Dubai a couple of years ago, and something she said really inspired me. And I got an idea for a YouTube video and I was really excited about it. So I went back upstairs, right, because I lived in the building. And now normally I would have spent hours setting up, scripting the video, setting up the 3 cameras, fixing the lighting, getting everything perfect. But I couldn't be bothered. I didn't have the time. I was excited and I just wanted to capture the idea whilst it was fresh. So I sat down at my iMac, which I am right now. I opened up the iMac camera that I'm using right now to film this video. I hit record. No script, no editing, no fancy production, just me talking. I uploaded it straight to YouTube, didn't overthink it, didn't second-guess it, just put it out there. And then something happened. That video got half a million views and it's made me well over $1 million cash. That one video. And I've got the Hiros tracking to prove that as well. Now, here's what's interesting. Half a million sounds like a big number, but just think about the math that I just showed you. I did not need half a million views to make that million dollars. If my offer was, let's say, $25,000, I needed 40 people to buy. That's less than 0.01% of those half a million viewers. Now, the half a million was nice, but what actually made the money was the right viewers, the small percentage who had the problem that I solved and who were willing to pay to fix it. I sat there staring at my screen thinking, like, how did this happen? When that video did so well, I thought, well, it must just be a lucky fluke. So you know what I did? I went back to the edited videos, back to the scripts, back to the production, and back to getting pretty much no views and no sales. And then a few weeks later, I thought, hold on, what if I tried the iMac camera thing again? What if it wasn't a fluke? So I did it again, raw, unedited, one take, and that video got a quarter of a million views, hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales. And that's when it hit me. I discovered something. Not only was the raw approach getting better results, but it was also way easier, faster, takes less time, less money, less effort, and it produced more revenue. Everything that I've been taught, everything that you have been taught, is wrong. Editing was hurting me, scripting was hurting me, production value was hurting me, and what actually worked was being myself, talking like a normal person, sharing what I was thinking. Simple, easy, and profitable. And in both cases, the how I'd make $10K a month video that got half a mil views, the step-by-step how I made $16.4 million video that got about a quarter of a million views, like, you know, I was just keeping it real. And being myself. And what mattered was the right viewers, the ones who watched, connected, and said, I need to work with this person. The right 200 people in those audiences were worth more than the other 499,800 people combined. Now, I wish I could tell you that I learned my lesson right there, but I didn't, because here's what happened next. Even after discovering that real videos work better, I went back to the old way. And I know this sounds stupid, and some of you are probably thinking, Will, are you serious? You were blowing up and you went back to the style that didn't work? Yes, I did, because I'm human. I'm a bloody idiot. And I thought, let me just test it one more time. Maybe I was, I was wrong. So there was a stage on my channel, and maybe some of you remember this stage, where I went all in on edited content. I was paying $750 per edited video. Seriously, I invested in fancy thumbnails, multiple cameras, all the bells and whistles. I basically went right back to everything that didn't work. And guess what happened? Well, it completely backfired. I wasted loads of time, loads of money. It was a costly mess. And here's what made it worse. People started reaching out to me and saying, well, what's going on? Why are you doing this? Should we copy you? Oh, so, so funny. This is why you should never just blindly copy people, because you don't know what's happening behind the scenes. And some of the people did copy me, and they same— made the same mistake that I made, and they felt the same pain. And then they had to watch me go backwards and admit that I've messed up. And it was embarrassing, it was expensive, and it taught me a lesson I'll never forget. The raw approach is not just better, it's the only approach that works. Anytime that I've swayed away from that raw, genuine, organic, helpful, valuable style I've paid the price. So when I tell you that editing and scripting and fancy production is killing your results, I, I am not guessing. I've tested it multiple times on myself, on my clients, and the data is simple. Simple wins, raw wins, authentic wins. And when you combine simple and raw with the right 200 viewers That is when the magic happens. That's when 200 views turns into $10K, $20K, $30K in cash. Now let me show you why this works, because there's actual psychology behind it. 100,000 people versus just 5 people. This is how YouTube really works for coaches and consultants. Let me give you a scenario. Let's just say you're selling a $25,000 consulting package. Option 1, You stand on the busiest street in London. 100,000 people walk past you today, and this is what it looks like. You try to stop them, you try to pitch them, you try to get their attention. They're rushing, they don't know you, they didn't ask for this, they've got headphones in, they're looking at the phones, and they're actively trying to avoid eye contact with you. How many sales do you make? Probably zero, maybe one if you're lucky. Right. Option B, you have 5 appointments booked in your office this week, and that's what you look like. I imagine these people found you online, they watched your videos, they requested a meeting, they drove across town, cleared their calendar. They're sitting across from you right now with a notepad out asking questions. How many sales do you make? Probably 2, 3, maybe even all 5. The street had 100,000 people, the office had 5, but the office made you $75,000 and the street made you nothing. Why is that? Well, it's because the people on the street did not choose to be there. They didn't choose you. They don't trust you. They don't really even know who you are. The people in your office, they chose you. They sought you out. They already trusted you before you said a single word to them. That is what happens when you chase views on YouTube. You're standing on a busy street trying to get the attention of people who don't know you, they don't care, they're not looking to buy, when what you actually want is a booked office. 5 people who found you, watched your content, and thought, man, I need to talk to this person. Your micro YouTube channel isn't trying to be a busy street.. It's trying to be a booked office. 200 people who choose you will make you a lot more money than 100,000 people who don't know you exist or don't really care, right, that are just watching for cheap dopamine hits. And this is the same principle we've been talking about here today. The right 200 beats the wrong 200,000. A booked office is just 200 right viewers who took the next step. Right, a booked office beats a busy street because buyers who choose you already trust you, and trust is what creates sales. So hopefully you're starting to see now why everything you've been told about YouTube is backwards. The gurus tell you to be on the busy street, go and get views, go and get more eyeballs, cast a wider net, make broad content. I'm telling you, fill your office. Find the right people, speak directly with them, and let them choose you by making pain and problem-based content that actually adds value and attracts buyers. That is a completely different game, and it's the game that actually makes money. Now let me share a client example. Let's take Jordan Welch. Now let me show you what this looks like when someone actually applies it. So Jordan Welch came to me as a famous e-com entrepreneur and a YouTuber, and he's amazing at getting views. He's incredibly talented at e-com. He's made I think tens of millions of dollars by, by this stage. And he's a very talented entrepreneur and also a very good guy as well. I really like Jordan, very down to earth, very, you know, he really cares about helping people. Now he wanted to copy my raw style that barely gets any views but that prints high-ticket clients like clockwork. He'd seen my rubbish no-effort videos like this one that I'm making right now where I just tell you stuff, and that's how he found me. He then learned through a mutual friend that I was making about $450,000 to $550,000 a month cash, and he got in touch with me to join my Done With You consulting program to learn how to do it himself. In fact, he even gave me this testimonial after we'd worked together. When he joined, he was at zero with that offer, with his new consulting offer, completely new to this whole like low view high-ticket raw YouTube stuff. No clue how it worked, no offer, no price, nothing. Just an idea to teach people how to get views on YouTube, which he's amazing at. Now, some people might look at that and think, well, if he's a massive YouTuber and you're a tiny YouTuber, then why is he coming to you, right? And that's because conversion is the skill. Building a killer offer, the right price with the right funnel, that's what people come to me to learn. How to turn traffic, even low amounts of traffic, into a lot of sales, into tens of thousands of dollars. That's what I'm best at. That's what I do every day. I've already made about $20,000 today and it's bloody not even 1 PM. Bit of a humble brag for you there, but it is true. And then Jordan applied the micro YouTube channel method with me. Raw videos, no editing, speaking directly to his dream customer. People and brands who want more views to boost their reach. And Jordan didn't try to speak to everyone interested in this. That would be millions of people, most of whom would never pay him anything. Instead, he spoke to a very specific person, people who were struggling to build their brands, mainly in the e-com and info niche, a much smaller audience, right? Maybe, you know, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25,000 people. Not millions. But within that small audience, the right 200 viewers were worth everything. And within 2 months, Jordan had scaled to $150,000 per month in cash collected. Let that sink in. $150,000 a month cash. And since then, he's collected over $1 million in cash, I believe, from this consulting offer. He didn't need millions of views. He didn't need fancy production. He didn't need to crack any algorithms. He needed the right 200 people, the people who were struggling with what he's great at, the ones who resonated with his raw, authentic message, the ones who watched his simple videos and just thought, this guy gets it, I need to work with him. 200 right viewers, not 200,000 random subscribers. That's the power of the micro YouTube channel. Doesn't matter what niche you're in, doesn't matter if it seems small or unsexy. If you're solving a real problem for people who will pay premium prices, at least $2K, then this works. The right $200 will always outpay the wrong $200,000, and Jordan is living proof of that. So am I, and so are my clients as well. Now I want to share something with you that I don't usually talk about publicly— the coffee cup. That some of you know me for and some of you tell me to put down sometimes. Now, when I first started making these raw videos, I was— let's just say nervous, right? I was terrified, really. And I was physically terrified. My hands would shake a bit, I would stutter, I'd feel like a bit of an idiot. And do you know why I hold the coffee cup in my videos? It's not a style choice, it's not branding. It was a coping mechanism. The coffee cup stopped my hands from shaking. It gave me something to hold on to, something to ground me. It calmed me down. And here's the other thing I did, and this is embarrassing to admit, but I pretended— whenever I make a video, even right now, in my head I pretend that I'm chatting to a friend. And I'd look at the camera and imagine that a friend was sitting there, or my girlfriend, or my my best friend or, or someone that I know, and I imagine I'm just having a chat. I'm not performing, I'm not presenting, I'm just, just talking like a real person in real life. And it's funny because that's what everyone tells me they feel when they watch my videos. People say to me, well, it feels like you're just talking to me, it feels like we're having a coffee together. And that vulnerability, that rawness, that's exactly what made the videos work, because people don't want polished they want real. And sometimes being real means being scared and doing it anyway. So here's what I've learned. The things you think are your weaknesses, the nervousness, the imperfection, the not being good on camera, they are not weaknesses. They what make you relatable. They are what make people trust you. They are what make the right 200 viewers think, I really like this guy. You know, this guy's just like me. I, I think I could work with this person. I think I like them.. And the polished, perfect scripted presenter, well, they attract viewers who want entertainment, cheap dopamine hits. They're just flicking from video to video and don't really care. The real, raw, authentic person, they attract buyers who want help. And buyers are what we're after. Now here's your next steps. All right, let's bring this home with your homework for today. And you've got two assignments to help you go and do this for yourself. So homework number one is the revenue math. I want you to calculate your personal 200-view revenue formula. So get out a calculator, and here's what you're going to do. Write down your average sale price, and if you don't have one yet, just write down what you want to charge. Multiply it by 2— that's 1% of 200 views— and write down that number right now. Get your phone, get a— what, I don't know what I'm doing with my hand. That's, that's a phone apparently. Get your phone and type on your notes. So I get a pen and a piece of paper and write that down right now. As an example, let's say your price is $15,000. 200 views, 1%, 2 buyers. 2 times $15,000 is $30,000 per video. That number that you just wrote down, that's what one raw video is worth to you. I want you to look at it, feel it, let it sink in. That's why we're not chasing views. That's why 200 is enough. That's why the right 200 viewers will always outpay the wrong 200,000 subscribers. That's your math, that's your game, that's your path to changing your life and making a hell of a lot of bloody money, uh, if you do this right and you are patient and you do it right. Basically, homework number 2: your first raw video. And you're not going to share this yet. I want you to record a 2-minute video on your phone or on your laptop camera or your iMac camera like what I'm using right now, and just talk about one problem that you solve for your clients, just one. Don't overthink it, no editing, no retakes, no deleting and starting over. Hit record, talk for 2 minutes, hit stop. That's it, that's what I do. Don't upload it anywhere yet, don't share it with anyone, this is just for you. And the purpose of this is to prove to yourself you can do it, and just to notice how it feels. If it's uncomfortable, Good. If it's awkward, that's okay. If it's embarrassing, well, at least it's real. At least it's genuine. That's okay. And that's exactly how I felt when I started. The coffee cup shaking in my hands. You're becoming someone new, right? Someone who shows up raw and authentic and someone who doesn't need 200,000 viewers, just the right 200. That's your first step. Now let me leave you with the one thing I want you to remember from today. And if you forget everything else, remember this. The right 200 viewers will always outpay the wrong 200,000 subscribers. And it's not a theory, that's math. 200 views, 1% conversion, your price equals revenue per video. And that formula is the foundation of everything. Again, write it down, put it somewhere you'll see it, let it rewire how you think about YouTube and about content and about what success actually looks like. You don't need to go viral.. You don't need millions of subscribers. You don't need to crack any bloody algorithms. You need 1, 2, 3, 400 people who have the problem that you solve. That's it. And if you want my help implementing this, by the way, just go to the Work With Me link in the description of this video, book in a call, and my team will see if you're a good fit for one of my consulting programs. Bye for now.
