So whether you're an Ironman triathlete or you're just trying to shed a few pounds, get ready for non of the mill cutting edge content from BenGreenfieldFitness.com. Hey, what's up you guys? It's Ben Greenfield and I'm standing here with the guy who a few minutes ago forced me to inject. Not really inject, but more just like dump elk antler velvet into my mouth and just like hold it there and swish it around. And apparently it's supposed to make me grow hair on my chest or something, but he's got all these bottles like Reishi and Chaga and pine pollen. What's your name, man? What do you do? I'm called Daniel Vitalis and I do a lot of things, my friend. That's what you're called or that's your name? Well, that's what I'm called and I really do like to carry around little bottles of magical elixirs. But really what I'm into is things that come from nature that have strong, strong pharmace like effects, but they're whole food form ingredients. Okay, so like this elk antler stuff, like how do you even make that? Like does somebody go out and like find antlers and like extract this from from the elk and stomp on it like wine grapes or how does this work? Yeah, you can imagine getting the antlers off an elk isn't an easy process. So we work with a couple farms in the Idaho and Utah area and they are large free range ranches and basically once a year the largest bucks have their antlers clipped off and we freeze dry those and we break them down in an organic grape alcohol to produce this extract in the method that the Russians developed during the Cold war era. And basically they were focused on adaptogen research. They were looking at substances in nature that can be used to adapt human beings to their environment, increase performance. They wanted super soldiers, super athletes, and they figured out a way to get the regenerative properties and the androgenic properties of antlers into themselves. And we're using that same method today. The thing to know is that the antlers of cervids grow every Year, in three months, and then they fall off and they regenerate every year. Cervid. Is that like an insect? So a cervid would be like a deer, an elk, a moose, a caribou, a reindeer. Now, in every species but reindeer, the cervid, only the males produce antlers. Antlers are different than horns. Horns are hollow. Antlers are the only mammalian organ that regenerate. And so you can actually consume that and get those regenerative properties into your own bloodstream. And they think about this. The elk is preparing the elk preparing to fight other males and get the girl. That's the point. And that's what those antlers are about. And so his bloodstream is filled with the stuff. And you can put that in your body and fill yourself with a stuff. It's like rhino horns, except it's legal. Except it's sustainable as well, because they regenerate every year. So we never kill these elk. These elk live out their whole lives on these ranches, and every year, the large bucks have their antlers put. What's more cute, a baby rhino or a baby elk? Man, I know the guy from Rhino wars, and he doesn't think this stuff is funny. You guys should see Daniel Vitalis. He's totally tatted up, sporting vibrant five fingers, but he's the real deal. You guys, you should check out this Sir Thrival, and he's here at the Bulletproof Biohacking Conference. So we'll try and get Danny on a podcast sometime and pick his brain, because he's obviously a wealth of knowledge. So, Daniel, thank you for filling us in on rhinos versus elks today. Hey, man, great to be here with you. Let me know how that chest hair grows in. Hey, so it's Ben Greenfield here. I'm at the Bulletproof Biohacking Conference, and the beautiful Dr. Lowe here is about to shove something into my vein. What are you even doing here? I just showed up and you started to poke needles into me. I'm uncomfortable saying this on recording. So we're doing glutathione. Do you know much about glutathione? I know it's gonna make me into, like, a stallion racehorse. We're about to poke you right? So, 1, 2, 3. Big old needle going into my vein right now. How was that? It was beautiful. You did a great job. Thank you. Nothing collapsed. It's my first time. So what are you shoving into me here right now? Is this legal? Am I gonna get in trouble for this? Probably. I think you do it anyway. Probably so we got glutathione right now, and this is a master antioxidant. I'm sure your listeners know this. And it's just amazing for your cells, for your brain, your liver, and it's 100% absorbed right into your bloodstream. So you've got Dave Asprey here, like the bulletproof biohacker, and he sells glutathione. He sells liposomal glutathione. Aren't you competing with his liposomal or is this just like that on steroids? What's the difference? I would say we might be competing, except Dave is the biggest junkie of our iv. Glutath lineup. Anyone? But, you know, the liposomal is great to do on a daily basis, but, you know, all supplements aren't 100% absorbed. Right. So it's always great if you can, you know, step it up with something like an IV, because this is 100% absorbed, so you really can't beat it. Yeah, I'm totally bypassing digestion here. Absolutely. Right in. Yeah. Are you gonna inject something into my butt cheek as well? Because I hear that's what all the athletes do. I mean, I really got into this just so I could inject your butt cheek. So I'm looking forward to it, but yes, so we can. There's lots we can do in. I wore my special bottomless leather riding chaps just so we could do that. This is a special, special day. I'm really excited. This is why I get up in the morning. Okay, so we just did glutathione, but you do way more than that at shine. What's the full meal deal that we're doing today? Are we doing just glutathione or are you going to make this fancy in the shot? Yeah, yeah. So I'm thinking for you, because you're an athlete, I'd like to do some CoQ10 Taurine. I think chromium would be great for insulin sensitivity. Also the different B vitamins, because you really burn through those as an athlete. Magnesium would also be great, too. So that would be the formula I'd probably put together for you. That sounds really good. Except the chromium. I'm an athlete. Why would I be insulin insensitive? Well, how's your diet? It's really good. It's bulletproof. All right. We probably keep the chromium out, but yeah, all the other ones would be a really good option for you since you are so active. Okay, cool. Whatever you think would help me to recover the best and I don't know if I told you this, but I'm racing an Ironman triathlon in two weeks. Okay. So. And I just found out about this. Any soreness, muscle pain that you have at all? Yeah, I just raced the Spartan World Championship, so my knee is messed up. I'm sore, so I'm. So I would also want to add some Traumeel into the shot, too. Sweet. Yeah, homeopathic for inflammation. Yeah. And you guys may have heard me talk about Traumeel before on the podcast. We actually talked about a little bit when we did the podcast a couple weeks about, like, the best topicals and the topicals that have nasty ingredients in them. And Trau Meal was on the approved list, except what we didn't talk about was getting Traumeel injected. Do we get to do that one on my butt? Yep. We'll put it right in your butt. We're just gonna inject Traumeel into my butt. And I also. And she's just sitting here holding the vein right now so blood doesn't come gushing out. I also heard you're a wonderful singer, Dr. Lowe. Are you gonna get to sing something for us? I can sing for you maybe. I know I'm really shy. Okay. What are you gonna sing? What do you want me to sing? What's your favorite thing to sing? Let's see. I'm on the spot now. What's your favorite thing to hear? I like to hear. Let's go with, like, a top 40. What's big on top 40 right now? Let's do Old School. Okay. We go Old School. Okay. Ooh, each other things are gonna get easier Ooh, each other things will get brighter that roll you got vibrato. She's actually got it. Roll the vibrato. Nice. All right, cool. So, you guys, it's called Shine Natural Medicine. Shine Natural Medicine. It's, like, somewhere. I don't know, in California. San Diego. San Diego. And it's Dr. Lowe, so check it out. And I'm gonna go get a bunch more stuff injected into me, so thanks for listening. Bye. Hey, it's Ben Greenfield here. And, of course, when you're walking around the bulletproof biohacking conference, there are a variety of tables where you attach things to your head. Of course, biohackers are obsessed with attaching things to their head. And we just wandered up on one called A Versus, and I'm standing here with. What's your name? Noelle Ford. Noelle. Even though your name take says David. Did you know that that's a business card. I was feeling like, oh, that's your business? That's mine. Okay, got it. Noel from Versus and what is Versys? Versus is actually our product line. My company is Sens Labs and we created the Versys headset to break down a lot of barriers to neurofeedback training. Because we strongly believe that neurofeedback training is an opportunity to really enhan your performance through training your brain. Are you referring to the fact that most people who do neurofeedback look like they could never get laid and this makes it cool? We are trying to enhance the cool factor, yes. We're also trying to enhance the availability of it. So by putting it in a mobile platform like this, it's using iOS apps, a headset that uses Bluetooth. It really requires so much less from the individual in terms of time and commitment as far as money, actually, because it's just a one time purchase and then you have the headset. You don't have to pay for an office visit going to a clinician. You can do it on your own time. Okay, so I know this is tough for audio, so I'll try and explain this to you. I'm looking at this guy and he's got like an iPad and it looks like it's a basketball player shooting free throws on the iPad. And he has this headset on with the electrodes attached to his head. Is he with his thoughts right now controlling what that basketball player is doing or what exactly is going on there? Not exactly his thoughts, kind of. It's more about the state that he's in. So we actually for this conference teamed up with Flow Genome, Steven and Jamie, specifically to create a flow protocol. So if you see the top left, he's got three little circles there. Those are reflecting three different frequency bands that we're measuring of his EEG activity or his brain activity. And when he's able to create a more flow state or more flow like state, then those circles are going to converge and the basketball player is going to make. So like the circles all line up and that means, does that mean he's getting into alpha brainwave? It's actually not just alpha. We have a flyer which I'll hand to you so you can have it. But it's, it's a little bit of alpha, a little bit of theta, and more importantly, a decrease in our fast frequencies which we don't need. The beta inflow. Yeah, gamma actually for this particular protocol, but yep. Okay, cool. Dude, this looks really cool. I Think I might actually try this one. Alright, folks, so check it out. And where can people go if they want to learn more about this? They can go to getversus.com or sense labs.com awesome. Getversus.com or senselabs.com thanks. David. Hey, it's Ben Greenfield and some guy just called me over and said, Ben, you gotta check this out. I have no clue what it is, but he told me it's a hypergravity suit. So I'm standing here. Now this guy has a shirt that says gravity products on it. So you must be the guy. So I must know what I'm talking about. You look like you must know something about gravity. Okay, right. Well, obviously. Do you know what hypergravity is, Ben? What hypergravity is? Yes, I'm gonna. No, I feel dumb now, but no, I don't. Don't feel dumb. Okay. Basically all hypergravity is, is more gravity than we run into on the surface of the Earth. Right now you and I are both at what we call 1G, which is the pull of gravity on the surface of the Earth. What I'm going to do to you in the next few minutes is I'm going to take you probably. How much do you weigh? I weigh 175, but that's rude to ask. No, it's not rude to ask. I'm just kidding. Okay, so 175, I'm going to probably take you to, let's see, about 1.22, something like that G. So I'm going to increase you by maybe 20%. Okay. Okay. And we're going to see what it does to rest of your movement. What are you gonna do, just like sit on my shoulders? No. Would you like that though? No. Okay. Neither would I. So basically what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna put you in a gravity suit. Okay. We're gonna give you resistance and compression specifically to the way you move. Okay. Okay. So any training that you do, okay. I'm gonna show you how to do it. Make it a lot, make everything a lot more efficient and a lot easier. And it's all gonna happen in just a few minutes. Okay? Nope. Okay. And if it doesn't work, you can say, you know what, get out of here. Yeah. Okay. So you're going to put, you're going to put a hypergravity suit on me that's going to increase my GS. So this is more than a weighted vest. It's way, way different than a weighted vest. Yes. Okay. All right. Okay. It's still a little vague. And for the people listening who aren't going to get to see the visual of this, explain what it is that you're going to put on me. Well, let me address the weighted vest. First of all, the right idea, wrong method. Okay. If you've ever worn a weighted vest, I'm sure you have for a period of time. You notice you've gotten probably some. Your traps get destroyed. Exactly. Okay. Because it's a downward force right here. Yeah, well, you're not going to get that here. Ours is an inward force. We use compression to keep everything in. So it's almost like we've added the weight under your skin. So you're combining weight with compression. Exactly. And is there any type of electronics involved? Like, is this, like. Okay, you're going to provide the electronics. This is what we're putting on you is a licensed medical device, actually. Wow. Okay. And it works with your nervous system. And we're going to program you for about four or five minutes here. Neural programming. Okay. Okay. And then when it comes off. I'm not going to say anything. You are. Okay. All right, cool. So we're going to do this. I'm not going to record this via audio. For those of you listening in gravityplus systems.com check it out. And if I like this, you're probably going to hear me talking about it in one of the main Ben Greenfield fitness podcasts. But hopefully that's enough to stem your curiosity. Gravityplus systems.com if you never hear from me again, I died. Okay, here we go. Hey, this is Ben Greenfield. I'm standing here at the Jing Slingers. Is that what it's called? You were just about to tell myself. And actually the fat Burning Man. Say yo. Hello, everybody. Abel James here. What exactly it is that you got going on? Okay, well, we're tonic Chinese herbalists, but most importantly, we are Jing, master alchemical culinary artisans. So we make this stuff to taste like ass. Taste good. And what was that that I just drank? So you had like, this little blue thing in a shot glass. Can you tell me what that was? Yes, that is our blucidity. And we call it blucidity? Well, obviously, because it's blue from the blue green algae. We've got two blue green algae there. One for your brain and one for the whole body. But both of them really work for the whole body. The first one is AFA, which is called Brain on by E3Live. Super clean primal food. Really good stuff. It has pea in it, which is the same Component in the theobromine that's in chocolate. So you might even taste a little chocolate when you were drinking that blue drink. Yeah, I definitely tasted chocolate. And this is like an herbal tonic that's actually designed to tastes like it came from, like it like Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Everything we do. In fact, if you go to our website, www.jingslingers.com, look at our Tastimonials, you'll understand why we've got. I like how you did that. Tastimonials. Yes, tastimonials. Because people tell us we wanted them to give us their love, but they asked to do it. So we put them up there. You can see. Anyway, back to the tonic. So we also have Lions Mane in there. Lion's mane is. It's a mushroom mycelium from Host Defense. Paul Stamets is like one of the world leading mycologists. You got to know him and it was. Were they sustainably grown lions, Were they sustainably grown? All kinds of mushrooms, but particularly lions mane in this, in this particular tonic. Because it has. Well, let's give a little science here. First of all, it's the mycelium, not the fruiting body. So it's got that much more power for it in it. Second, it's grown completely clean and organic. And next it was actually part of a Nobel Prize study because it gets rid of it helps to mitigate amyloid plaque in the brain and actually help remyelinate the sheath of the neurons, which makes us all more peaceful. More peaceful and brilliant. So you get to be beautiful and brilliant. The other components. Go ahead. Is he wanted to sound bite, to go sound novel. The other components are we did some pearl from Jing herbs for the muca polysaccharides because pearl is closest to human DNA, which is why women get great skin from doing pearl. So pearl powders in there also good for the endothelium. And overpriced necklaces. And overpriced necklaces that I think only grandmas wear. Exactly. And then we also have in there. Yes. Okay. I don't know what you watch. Sorry. Go ahead, edit. And so the next thing we put in there is Dave's collagen because it's grass fed and beautiful. We love Dave's collagen. Did you actually harvest this from Dave Asprey's collagenist knees or you're just saying Dave's collagen? No. Well, it's Dave Asprey bulletproof grass fed collagen. Yes. So now we've got that Protein, that clean collagen in there that speaks to all yours actually helps with cellular communication as well as gives you the building blocks, that great skin, great everything. A great endothelium, which goes back to your body being able to have more. No nitric oxide. And that's where you create it. So we kick your endothelium off the couch and make it work. I love it. And it's called Jing Slingers. Do you have some of these recipes on your website? Yes, we do. And some of them are on bulletproof. And our website is actually going to be loaded up with the rest of the recipes over the next two weeks. This is really cool how you can take superfoods and super herbs and make them literally taste, like I said, like Ben and Jerry's ice cream, which is really cool. And we are actually doing it. One of the things we're famous for is being able to pound ice cream and like, literally have ice cream any time of the day in like two minutes. And today at 4 o', clock, we're having an ice cream social. We're having chocolate, chocolate chip, sugar free, gluten free, jack the rafters with all kinds of superfoods and. And with supplements, because we eat a fusion of supplements, organics and tonic herbs. And I will be speaking during that time, but please save me some. I will. So nice to meet you. Hey, it's Ben Greenfield here and you've probably heard of lasers before. Maybe infrared lasers or, you know, the kind of little handheld lasers you can get for yourself to do home therapy. But you may recall that we actually had a podcast with the folks from K Laser, and I happen to be getting a K laser treatment right now on my leg. And this is intense. I am actually wearing a special set of headgear. Well, I'll turn things over to Josh with K Laser to tell me why the heck I'm wearing headgear while he's giving me a laser treatment. Well, Ben, basically we just like to make sure there's protection from the laser in the event that there was a reflective beam that hit your eye. But pretty much it's. And more importantly, why there's not headgear on my crotch right now. But no, it's safe. You're fine. Everything's going to work out fine. And yeah, we're going to do a lot for the inflammation that you're facing with your potential meniscal tear. I mean, that is the bread and butter of this laser is reducing inflammation, bringing blood, oxygen and nutrient to anything that's in Pain or inflamed. Very interesting. So I felt a little bit of heat there. And was that penetrating pretty deep into the tissue or is this kind of more like surface or. Yeah, I mean we're running four wavelengths simultaneously. So we're. And when you say four wavelengths simultaneously, that's unique, isn't it? Yeah, I mean there's no other laser on the market that's running four wavelengths. We're focused on melon in the skin for superficial wounds. We're getting into cytochrome C, oxygen is hemoglobin and water. So, you know, we're trying to create a bio stimulatory response, you know, and we do that by having four diodes or four wavelengths and you're just not going to find that in any other laser. Yeah, and this is the type of thing, it's that you can go and do a search for in your local area and find someone with a K laser, right? Oh yeah, yeah. There's a physician finder on our website. It's like K laser dot com. Yep. Dub, dub, dub. K-laserusa.com yeah, and I've used lasers before and I've never actually felt the heat that I'm feeling from this laser. Is that like the power or is that the four different wavelengths or like a combination? Yeah, it, well it's, it's really. The heat's coming from the, from the power. This is a 15 watt laser. We have, we have a few different lasers. This is the cube four, which is the creme de la creme. It's 15 watts. So you're going to get, you're getting some heat from that. It's actually super pulsing as high as 20 watts. So that's where a lot of that heat is coming from. Wow. Have you ever put this laser on a shark? You know, that's a good question. I've thought a lot about that, Ben, but no, I haven't yet. That would be the next thing. And I think this would actually look quite intimidating should you ever find it on a shark. So K laser.com Josh is treating my knee right now for some knee pain. I'll keep you guys updated on how it feels after, afterwards. Thanks, Josh. Thank you, Ben. Appreciate it. Hey, so it's Ben here back at the bulletproof biohacking conference again. I actually just flew in. I got in about two hours ago and the entire plane ride because I was so beat up from racing the Spartan World Championships, I had a device attached to my knee that I was operating at high capacity and literally have zero Knee pain after stepping off the plane after being unable to run yesterday. I'm standing here with the guy who actually is with that company, and it's Eric from markpro. Eric, how you doing? Great, Ben, how are you? Good. So explain to me this electrostim things like people know what electro stimulation is like. That's no secret. Why is the Mark Pro different? Why does it do what it does? Well, actually, that's where we specialize in. With newer technology, traditional East Emers really focus more on kind of antiquated technology and they're really focusing on different factors. We are not focusing on muscle education or muscle tone. We're specifically focusing on healthy tissue regeneration as well as bringing the muscles back to homeostasis. Okay, got it. Use the geek speak with me here. Is there like a different, like, wavelength of electrostim that's used or how. Why, why is it different? Yeah, so if you want to talk geeky stuff, basically we are. We flop the parameters. Most E stim devices get their power from high voltage and high frequency. We've really lowered the voltage and frequency to make it a much more comfortable contraction. And we've also made the pulse duration, which is the length of the signal staying in the muscle, last longer. And by doing that, the signal can go deeper in the the muscle and recruit muscle fiber. That's practically impossible to touch from a topical perspective. Yeah, it feels way different than any electrostim device I've used before. And you have this new the Mark Pro plus, right? That's what I had on, on the plane. And it's new. It has like a high frequency and a low frequency setting. Can you explain the difference? Yeah, you're literally one of the very first people to actually utilize our Mark Pro plus. We just unraveled the it to the public yesterday. So basically, the Mark Pro plus, for instance, has a high frequency and a low frequency. You're familiar with our Mark Pro product already? We've been on a podcast with you, talked about that for a few months now. So the Mark Pro plus does what the Mark Pro does. It assists with lymphatic flush exclusively from our low hertz setting. With a low. A low setting that you can press on the. On the device itself or you can manipulate it to a high frequency setting. So the low frequency is a 2 Hz system. You get two contractions per second. The frequency is two. The high frequency is 60 Hz. You're getting a 60 Hz contractions per second. You don't put that on the. Yeah, it literally was like it grabbed like the whole muscle. It was really weird. Right. So technically you don't even necessarily put it directly on the muscle. You put it more on the joints or through the bone of the knee, per se. Right, that's exactly what I did. I crisscrossed my knee joint immediately. Absolutely. So if you put it directly on the muscle, that intensity is going to be very fatiguing to the muscle. Not great for lymphatic flush. So what we're. You're telling me I accidentally put it on my quad? Yeah. And you probably felt pretty weird. It was like a spasm. It was like a spasm. Right. So by putting it through the joint or on the knee, what we're doing is let's say you have knee pain, like true knee pain, which you probably had after the Spartan race. Right. You were hurting per se. You want to. You could say that. Okay. You want to manage that pain control. We want pain management pain control now. So what's actually happening there is you got some overactive nerves that are basically inflamed and causing pain on your joints on your knee. So we have a signal, more like a TENS unit based kind of feeling a numbing, desensitizing sensation, basically with better technology. It's the same waveform that we're sending with our low signal, but we're making it happen now at a much higher frequency to basically numb it, desensitize that pain. You're not feeling pain and at the same time now you can hook up the Mark Pro low frequency setting and do a lymphatic flush around the quad while you're numbing the pain of your knee. But unlike a TENS unit, which is just hitting nerve receptors, you guys actually are hitting muscle with this thing with the Mark Pro. Yes, basically. But with the high frequency setting, we're still. It's gonna catch some muscle, obviously and basically do some simulation there. However, what we're really doing again is kind of the same benefit as a tens, but again we have a much stronger signal going in there now and creating a much more comfortable numbing sensation. Yeah, because I've used the TENS before and this didn't feel anything like it. So very cool. Markpro.com you can actually save 32 bucks. Use discount code. Ben@markpro.com check them out. And check out the new Mark Pro Plus. It's friggin amazing. Thanks, Eric. Thanks, Ben. Hey, it's Ben Greenfield here at the Bulletproof biohacking conference and I just got off of this like electromagnetic mat where you put these Earphones on and these special goggles over your eyes and it just like flashes these bright lights and you listen to sounds. I'm not even totally sure what was going on, but I've got Allie here with me who kind of is the expert in this thing. It's called, what's it called? The Enerpulse? Is that what it's called? No, it's called the Mrs. I was close. You were very, very close. It's a pulsating electromagnetic field system within the frequency range of human cell frequencies. Okay. And then when your cells resonate. You know how cells resonate with their own frequency? Yeah. Like all cells vibrate at a certain frequency inside the human body. Right. Okay, so frequency. Your cells resonate with their own frequency. So what happens now? The cell charge is raised. A healthy human cell has 70 to 90 millivolts to function optimally. Yeah. So some amazing things happen. That's why, like working on a computer next to a wi FI router can mess you up totally. You know, wireless radiation impairs cell function and drops the cell charge. Okay, so when I'm sitting on this thing, it's like all wired up. And how is that? Not bad for me. Like, is this, is this reversing that charge or what's going on? Exactly. It counteracts also wireless radiation, you know, and it uses the frequencies within the biological window of human cell frequencies, which is 0.5 to 25 Hertz. Now that's what the mat is doing that you're sitting on. That's right. Now, what about the goggles? Okay. Brain injury, so we can improve brain function, so your brain reacts to external stimuli. So sound, light relax therapy has been used for many, many years. And now we can combine that with a PMF application, optimizing every single cell in your human body at the same time as we are improving brain function. Okay, and then the audio is that. Are those like binaural beats? Is that what that is? Okay, that's what I thought. Very cool. Okay, so that's basically changing the. Changing my brain waves. So when I lie on this thing, I'm getting. I'm getting like a grounding or an earthing type of effect. I'm getting the goggles training my brain and then I'm getting the audio and it's all put together. I don't want to ask, like, what would it cost? Like, put this in my living room. You. Very easy, very affordable. Really? Okay. Yeah. Because our the new one, the Omnium, which is Omnium Android based tablet version. Yeah. Loaded with pmf. It's a full fledged tablet. Yeah. PMF application, brain entrainment. And we're coming out with a whole host of wellness applications, such as how to measure your blood sugar levels, your blood pressure, ecg, body analyzer. So you could just like, build a little room in your house and have this, like, one thing in your house that does all this. It does it all. That's pretty dang cool. Would have to sell my car, but I have to sell my car. Yes, you can, because how much? 2998. That's it. Oh, yeah. Okay, so we're talking, like, 3K to just, like, totally biohack the heck out of your body and have, like, your own recovery chamber. And you can use it on the plane. You don't even have to be plugged in because it runs. That would freak out my plan, mate. But that is pretty cool. I like it. Very cool. Thanks, Ali. This is fascinating. Thank you. Hey, it's Ben Greenfield here at the Bulletproof biohacking conference, and I am looking right now at. There's a lady sitting down wearing a headband that kind of, like, covers up the back of her ears. Looks just like a regular old headband, and it's called a museum. And I've got the guy who's actually standing by the booth here, so I assume that you know something about this. I know a little bit. Okay, tell me what this is, Adam. Yeah. So this is the Muse. It's the brain sensing headband by Interaxon, and it's an EEG headband. It syncs with your phone, either Android or iPhone, and it's walking you through a brain training application. Okay. Basically, it's teaching your brain to stay in a calm, focused, tentative state. Oh. Now, I think that Tim Ferriss just had an article about you guys on his website. Absolutely correct. That's. That means. Okay, cool. So you hold this. You wear this headband. You hold the iPhone. Yes. And it helps to tell you whether or not your brain signals are stressful. Brain signals. That's exactly right. And it uses eeg? Yes. Is it safe? Yes. How long do you have to do it for? So either between 3 minutes and 20 minutes. The 3, 7, 5, 12 and 20 minute settings. I do it for 12 to 20 minutes in the morning, and then 3 to 5 minutes if I'm walking into, say, a stressful business meeting or I want to be especially present for some reason. Is having something electronic like that on your head bad for you? No. Okay, so you're just doing it for, like, Short periods of time training your brain looks like this. This lady doing it right now. She's holding a cell phone. Is she, like, playing a game or, like, causing things to happen on that app with what she thinks about? So what is happening is she's. It's scanning her brain waves and it's looking for a stable brain signal. Right. And then if she starts to vary off of that, it's going to play a little bit of a wind sound. And her job is to calm the wind, to calm her mind, brings it back to a stable brain state. Over the course of three minutes or 20 minutes or whatever, you can get a lot of reps of coming back to an attentive space. Have you hooked this up yet to a psychopath or serial killer just to see what would happen, like, if the app would just explode? I personally have not done that. Interesting. That's. That's kind of the next step, I think. Oh, you know that we've got a lot of research partnerships with a lot of therapists, a lot of top tier universities. I'm sure someone will. Pretty quick here. Cool. It's called the Muse, folks. Check it out. What is it, like muse.com or choosemuse.com? choosemuse.com. Cool. It rhymes. Clever. Hey, you think there's some smart people here or something? All right, cool. Thanks for listening, folks. Hey, it's Ben Greenfield here, and I'm sitting at an oxygen bar. I'm at Dave Asprey's Bulletproof biohacking conference, and Oscar is standing here behind the bar. Oscar, I'm a little bit of an. Of an oxaholic, I guess, because I'm here sitting at the oxygen bar. Sweet. That's awesome. Like that joke? Never heard that one before, have you? That's right now. So how's this work? You pretty much just hook up the nostril piece here. So I stick this in my nose. Stick that in your nose, folks. I'm sticking oxygen like this. Yes. I don't stick things in my nose that much, so I don't really know what I'm doing. Okay, so I stick this in my nose, and I will get a photo of this, by the way. Oh, and you wrap that around your ear. Wrap that around your ear and you're good to go. Now just sit here and breathe. Just sit here and breathe. Now, there's different scents. I get to choose my scent. Choose your scent. Whatever aroma you guys want to do. I like the orange myself. Okay, I'll go for orange versus lemon versus grapefruit. Right. I smell that orange, for sure. So what is this doing? I mean, like, is this just, like. Because you see these things at airports, dude, and it's like. I mean, is this all just hype or what's going on? It's pretty much aromatherapy. But here's some of the benefits that oxygen actually has. So it's more of the aroma, do you think, than it is the oxygen? No, the oxygen itself is actually better for you, but. Yeah, but the aroma just, you know, is preferable for some people, you know. Yeah. As a soothing. Like we have lavender. We have. Yeah. So some of those aromas. Eucalyptus, you know, a little more soothing to people. Yeah. Relaxes them. Interesting. Okay, so, like, playing devil's advocate, can't you only, like, dissolve so much oxygen in your bloodstream before it just becomes. Yeah, and that's why, you know, already already saturated with oxygen. I mean, where is there a law of diminishing returns once you get to so much oxygen that you're breathing in? And that's why we typically say it's like a 10, 15 minute session. Typical session. So it's not. Yeah, yeah. So you wouldn't want to walk around like, with a cart, like in a stroller pushing this thing behind you all day. And so it's like a quick hit. I mean, I guess I'll know in like 10 minutes if I. If I feel it, but. Okay, really interesting. And I'll be sure to snap an oxy selfie for those of you guys who want to see this. All right, here we go. It's a good look. Hey, this is Ben Greenfield at the Bulletproof Biohacking Conference. I just walked up to this booth called the Pavlok, and I don't really know anything about other than someone said that it's a device that electrocutes you. Am I close on that? Manish? Manish is the guy standing behind the booth so he looks like he'd know. My name is Manish Sethi. It shocks you if you're being bad. It helps you break bad habits using Pavlovian conditioning. Okay, that sounds horrible. This is a horrible idea. You're going to go broke fast. No, seriously, how's it work? Is it like a Fitbit that. That shocks you or it's not wrong? Basically, the way that it works is that we allow you to program in the goals that you want to start doing and the goals that you want to stop doing. So, for example, every time I go on Facebook, it begins to vibrate, beep, and then eventually shock me. And what happens in the brain is your brain starts to associate the act of going on Facebook with the negative reinforcement, with the punishment, the feeling. I'm getting one of these for my wife, by the way, right now. Horrible idea, but I need it. She doesn't listen to the podcast, so I'm safe saying that. No, but it's true. I used it on myself for Facebook usage, and I realized that when I sat down on the laptop, my hands just reached over and typed in Facebook. But every time I got shocked, it made me stop doing it a little bit. Wow. And eventually, I had not logged in for several days in a row. See, when I log in, usually my search is for kitten photos. Well, you can help me Facebook. I would actually. We have a habit formation side if you want to start searching. So it can shock me whenever I start searching for kittens. Or you can help, you know, motivate you to do it a little, to search more for cute puppies or whatever. Right, right. Okay. So what I'm curious about is, like, is it just like a. Like a shock? Like, I mean, is it really, like. Okay, should we shoot it live via audio? You can. Okay, he's straight. He's strapping this thing in my wrist. Okay. About 40 right now. Okay, 40. Not too bad. No, do more. Just give me the full. It's gonna take. I can't give you full one. Give me as close as you can. Keeping it legal or whatever. Yeah, so the trick is scales for different people. Yeah, we have to make this good radio, but so I'll describe what he's doing. He's like. He just accessed the app on his phone that he's gonna use to deliver the shock to my wrists. Okay, so let's pretend I just went online on the Internet. Which one is this connected? I typed in. He's. He's finding one of the watches that's connected. Here, folks, I'll describe this to you play by play. So right now you're gonna feel. Searching for. That's slight. Okay, that's just a vibration. That doesn't even. Those beeping sounds really annoying. Yeah, Beep. Okay. Yeah, whatever. Okay. I'll give you a good shot. Okay, here we go. Okay. It's like beeping. Okay. It's warning me. It's warning me. I'm waiting. Dude, I didn't feel anything. Yeah. Am I just a beast? Ow. That one. Ow. No, but that. But. Okay, so that's what it's supposed to feel like. 70% shot. Okay, so that was 70%. Okay, so I could see how 100% would keep you from. Yeah. So essentially, every time you start to do something, your brain needs a little bit of negative feedback so it stops doing. There's no penalty for wasting time on Facebook. It's all dopamine rushes forming neural pathways. And if you start to add a little bit of pain when you start doing the habit you want to stop doing, your brain starts to realize that it's not always a good thing. So it can help cut down on the action and then eventually stop desire to do the action whatsoever. Was this inspired by, like, the Russian or Chinese Olympic Federation or something like that? It was inspired by an experiment I did where I hired a girl to slap me in the face every time I used Facebook. Boom. I love it. Okay, cool. So what is it? Pavlok.com, p, A, V, L, O, K. Yeah, Pavlok. And we're live on Indiegogo. The first day of October. I am so slow. I just realized. So Pavlok is the play on Pavlov. Yeah. And also can lock to your wrists. So that's another story for note that. Oh, my gosh, guys are so smart. Okay, cool. So pavlok.com, people, check it out. If you're masochistic and you have an addiction. Hey, it's Ben Green here at the Bulletproof Biohacking Conference. You've probably heard me talk about pulsed electromagnetic frequency before, or pemf. Like, I have this thing called an Earth pulse I've talked about on the podcast how I use it for sleep. I'm getting hooked up right now. You should see this. I'm getting, like, this coil wrapped around my knee, and this thing is like the Earth pulse on steroids. Actually, Joe decena over is sitting next to me, the Spartan guy, and his entire, like, upper body's, like, vibrating. What'd you call it? The Schwarzenegger? This is the Schwarzenegger pulsator. It's crushing me. It's like. It literally, it's like. Almost like. Like vibrating him off the chair. And so now she's got it on my knee. So this. This is like pemf. But it's more than something that you use for sleep, right? It's like, recovery. So what's your name? Katelyn. Katelyn, can you give me the lowdown on what exactly? This is why it's different. Yes. And different than the Earth pulse. Yeah. So the Earth pulse maxes out at 300 gauss in intensity. This PEMF 120 maxes out at 20,000 gauss. So that's two Tesla. So you're inducing a much bigger charge in your tissue when you use a big machine like this. So if you couldn't afford a Tesla car, you could get one of these just to make yourself feel better? That's correct. Okay, so right now I feel like a little. If you had a skateboard and you were running this thing, you probably could go from place to place and not need it. You probably could just like, just like kind of twitching and spasming. So right now I feel a little click, like in my knee every time that you're running that pulse through. And if you hear this. See, this is good radio right here. I'm actually letting you guys listen to this. So what happens if you jack it up? Like, is it not safe for you to do more? On my knee? You can do more. This is a portable device, so it's not quite as powerful as this unit. But he's experiencing more muscle contractions in his upper body because we're closer to his central nervous system here. Well, he's also a wuss, so he's just unable to handle the, the high frequencies. So the knee is not nearly as sensitive as the torso. So you're not going to get the kind of muscle contractions out of a knee that you do out of a torso. It's really interesting, you guys. If you're listening in and I may take a photo for the show notes. It's just like this suitcase size deal and you plug the two prongs in and then you wrap the coils around a body part of your choosing. And I have been informed by the way, that's good for your prostate, guys. So any body part really. And you just let this thing run. And how long does a session take? 3 minutes. 3 minutes. But could you just. Would you get hurt if you. If I sat here for like 20 minutes or no. Most chiropractors do between 15 and 30 minutes of treatment. Joe's three hours in. He's. He's like, he's growing a beard. He's like talking to a little volleyball. He's like his, his clothes are looking a little worn and tattered, but he's still here. Just getting shocked away. This is, Is it almost as good as the barefoot ididarod? This is worse in some ways. I put it on my head and my head was experiencing all kinds of shaking. I was spitting, my eyes were twitching. So it was worse in some ways than the Iditarod. It's like the zombie apocalypse therapy device. So. And I don't think we even said this, but what's this called? Did you say the Somapult? No, that's the small device. This big One is the PEMF120. Whoa, that just sounds serious. The PEMF120 website, real quick, if folks want to check it out. Pemf120.com. That kind of made sense. Okay. Pemf120.com. Check it out. This is Ben Greenfield. I'm at the Bulletproof biohacking conference, and I'm at this really interesting booth. It's called biohack your orgasm. Literally. Organic. Organic. Orgasmic Close. Meditation. What's your name? My name is Leah. Leah, tell me what exactly this is. Right. So we teach a practice called orgasmic meditation. It's a practice where usually a man strokes a woman's clitoris for 15 minutes. It's structured, it's goalless, so he's not trying to get hurt to climax. We're actually talking about orgasm in a way that's not climax. We said orgasm is like this fire, and climax is just like this little ember that comes off the fire while there's this whole other realm of sensation and connection and electricity that's available that most people don't know how to access. So in orgasmic meditation, you get to access that connection in this goalless practice where he's not doing anything to her for 15 minutes. They're both doing it for their pleasure. That's really interesting that. That seems like, like, an extremely long period of time to just be doing that one activity. Right, right. Well, it's a very. I mean, do you. Do you get people just saying, like, I'm bored. I'm so My little fingers tired? No, people, like, I'm telling you, orgasm. Orgasm meditation is trippy. And you'll be. Your stroke will be stroking, and you guys will be plugged into the sensation, and time will pass by like crazy. Like, it could seem like the om is like an hour long. Like, there's these crazy peaks and there's low valleys of sensation. Sometimes it goes by like that, and you're like, whoa. I mean, like, what do people actually go to, like, a conference and sit around in, like. Like a rubbing circle and learn this. So, like, how does it work? I mean, like, when I see that you're doing retreats, because it seems kind of almost, like, awkward if you just show up at a retreat and you're like, oh, hey. Well, here's how it works. So we have how to Om classes where it's A full day class. There's lecture and discussion. It's fun. Everybody's seated in the beginning. The teachers tell their story. Then there's a demonstration of orgasm meditation. So you get trained, you know, in a class or in private training. And then you can go and ask anybody that you want to who's trained and say, hey, we. You like to own and this whole world, this whole new world of like. And that's what you call oming. That's like kind of like the. The secret word oming is short for orgasmic meditation. Okay, gotcha. Yeah. Interesting. Yeah. All right. Wow. Yeah, it's. It's a passageway into a new way of relating, and your life just becomes more ignited and like, spontaneous and more flow states. And I would definitely say this is a niche. What's. What's your web URL in case people want to go and learn how to om? Sure. Yeah. Go to onetaste us, which is O n e T A S T e one taste us. Cool. And you even have a shirt here that says penetrate. Yeah. Another one that says stroke and pray. And what's this last one say? Choose orgasm. And powered by. Powered by orgasm. Almost like powered by chocolate milk, but a little different. Cool. Well, thank you. Really interesting. So check it out. Onetaste Us. Yet another way to biohack yourself. Biohack your orgasm. Why not? Why not? Thank you.
