A father's paycheck can't buy back the time he missed. This episode argues that presence and emotional leadership matter more than money, and explores how men can balance earning with actually showing up for their kids.

Welcome to another episode of Real Dad Movement podcast. The point and purpose of these episodes, as always, is to have a point and purpose towards helping you win the second half in life by building a path of becoming the best father, husband, man and member of your community that you can be. We do this with various ways of connecting. Life is connection. And as you hear these words spoken time and time again, know that the driving force of connection in life is energy. Which means that how you turn up as a father, as a husband, as a valued member of society will always start and end with how you turn up as a man within yourself. First, this is why it's my mission, my purpose, our mission, our purpose through Real Dad Movement, to inspire, motivate, educate, and guide you into thoughts, feelings, actions, and a change in your belief systems to rise up, cut the shit from your life, and live and leave a real legacy. When dads win, everyone wins. And when you win, I win. Let's get moving forward, mate. Right here, right now. You can't replace dad with dollars. This is going to probably be a very emotional episode for a lot of you, and I need you to know that that's okay. It's just really interesting. When I'm sitting here in our hq, in the office, delivering these podcasts, I don't quite know how you see me. I don't know what Al looks like in your eyes. I don't know what I mean. None of us like really listening to the sound of our own voice. So I don't really listen to too many repeats of my podcast episodes, but I don't know what I sound like to you. I don't know how you perceive me or see me through your eyes or hear me through your ears, but please understand that whilst we all have that Viking inside of us and we can all be the big fucking man who beats his chest and fights when threatened and defends his kingdom and all the moving parts that come with, you know, maybe masculine energy, maybe it's something else. I mean, they're all just fucking words, aren't they? To tag and associate expression of energy. But there are times when we reflect on periods of our life and we're pretty simple, aren't we? Like, men just want to be wanted. They just want to be wanted and desired and appreciated. And it's really hard because people think that we have this tough exterior, which we do, but this tough exterior defines our identity in its entirety. And that's not the case when we fuck up and we rouse on the kids or we're triggered or Short tempered or we blow a stack or we spend extended time away to try and put more money in the bank account and provide for effort. When we're doing all these things, do you think we're fucking goldfish? You know, and when I say you, I'm not just talking about wives and women and everyone else in society. Well, I'm talking about everyone who looks from the outside in of what it actually means to be a father. Casting stones or not pointing fingers or not making assumptions that this is just the way it is. Well, how the fuck would you know? You're not a father. You're not living through what we're living through. So I understand your frustration because we don't forget. And it's really hard when we spend time away from our children or when we're slogging our guts out trying to provide for the family and spending two of the most valuable resources that we'll never get back. Time and energy to create some level of financial stability and security for our family. So that maybe the hopes, right, that we live to be at least 82 years of age on the hope and faith and dream that you know what, one day we'll get enough or build enough of the right systems or tools to be able to have better time and energy because of the time and energy we sacrifice. I mean what the dichotomy of life, right? What a strange, what a strange sort of predicament that we find ourselves in. You don't forget, I don't forget. We don't forget some of the decisions that we made, some of the hard times, the hardships. And that's a bit of a base on why this is going to be an emotional episode for a lot of you because your children are growing up or they've already grown up or they're starting to grow up or they've just been born and soon they'll be growing up. You know, we've got fathers who've kids range from newborns, so some of our dads have had more kids whilst being part of our program all the way through to in their early 30s, you know, and we've got a few grandparents, we've got a few granddads, sorry, we've got a few grandfathers. Should call it high performance grandfather, the real grandfather movement, you know, it's crazy. You're nursing them in your arms, then one day they're all grown up. And I'm not saying that from personal experience. I don't have adult children, but I've worked with so many that do and this is the gift of me being the alignment coach and the skill sets I have by listening, absorbing, literally taking in their reality and living it through their words, their expression of energy, their emotional shares and what they do. And I not fantasize, but visualize. I'm like, man, that's hard, Yakka, trying to re establish a relationship with your sons when you might have turned left a few too many times and you should have turned right and you've lost your cool or you've lost stability and you've lost leadership and you've got to try and restore or replenish that with your sons who are now grown up and carving out their own views and beliefs in the world. So you have a little bit less or maybe only just a little bit left in terms of your influence and persuasion over what you know is right in your heart. But will they listen? Will they say, yeah, Dad's right. Will they accept it as dad's truth? It's very hard, man. But that's why the point of this episode is helping you really understand. Money is a tool, of course, but it's a tool that cannot replace the gift of life that you are to your children. You can't replace dad with dollar and I understand, I get it. Yeah. But you know what, Al? I'm going to have more financial security so my kids can have things that I never had or I can give them opportunities or a foot in the door with either education or studies or, you know, help them get their first home because prices are a nightmare these days. Blah, blah, I get all that, mate. I get all that. Is that what they want? Have you ever stopped to ask them, you should write this down or repeat it in your head. Is what I'm giving my family and providing for them, A, is that what they asked for? And whether the answer is yes or no, B, is that what they want? How many times have you gotten clarity in that and gone, oh, fuck, this is what they want. Do you want this? Is this important for you? Would you like me to do this now? Of course, when I say to Stella, who's five years old, hey, what do you want, sweetie? Do you want more money in the bank account or do you want Daddy to be around more? You already know the answer to that. They just want you. Now, of course, you might be working with your kids who are grown up, be like, okay, what are we going to do? Some are going to go into investment property. You've got your trade now as a carpenter. Let's build it up, let's Develop it. Let's flip some houses. Like, of course, you can dive into all different moving parts that involve a building of wealth and money with your children. But ultimately we all fall victim to ourselves of making assumptions that dollars will make everything okay. I remember one of my mentors saying to me, if you've got a problem and it can be solved with money, you don't have a problem. It's just funny. I just laugh every time I say that to myself or think about it. It's technically true. It really is. But peel the layer back one more. What's a problem? What do you perceive as a problem? Right. Just like when people say money can't make you happy, but it buys you the opportunities and pathways to develop that. Well, maybe, maybe not. I don't know. I guess it depends on what you want and what happiness means to you. I do agree that it gives you leverage 100%. If I've got money, I can create leverage to have more time back. I mean, we've got a phenomenal coaching team. I'm not just pocketing every dollar that goes into buying a yacht for Al to live on the fucking Bahamas and see you later, mate. It's worth it to me because this movement is so important to go, you know what, Al? You got to fucking earn the right to play, but you got to be smart about it. But if that means that the exponential growth to make this a worldwide movement, and I'm only going to be in my 50s at the time, then comes with some sort of financial reward that's. That is delayed gratification or delayed. It really is creating a delay. Not in entitlement, but it really is creating a delay in the rewards. And I think it's called delayed gratification, the term that was used. There's been tests on, you know, kids. They offer the kids one marshmallow, but if they don't eat it after 10 minutes, they get two. There's all that sort of shit. And. And it really is delaying the result, the reward. There is value to that. There is value to that. And I'm not saying that I'm going to wait till I'm 80 years of age to go, hey, I've got some money in the account. It's not about that. I'm just painting a picture of perspective to help me understand that, yes, money is a tool and it's something that can be used for leverage. But also it's not you. Like, it's a byproduct of the value you add to the world. The problems that you solve perceivable and real. It's so true. Which means that's all it is. And if that's all it is, which accumulates off the back of your time and effort, whether you think that there's passive income or not accumulates with your time and effort, you're saying yes to that. But inadvertently, if you say yes to that for too long or for too large a source of energy that you're investing in and too long in a period of time, unfortunately, saying no to some of the things that are precious that you'll never get back, like your child's 10th birthday or a christening, you know, or even if it's not your own kids, it's your relatives, it's your nephews and nieces. Like, I sacrificed a lot when I was playing professional sport. I missed out on a shitload of weddings. And Covid or not, we've been hardly any weddings in the last five years. But, you know, it just happens, I guess, as you're getting older, but sacrificed a lot for professional sport. And I look back now and I'm like, man, I'm so blessed that I was always around for my children's birthdays. And when I say blessed, yes, I take ownership over the actions that I took, the risks that I took with business, with other things, to position myself to have some sort of freedom or leverage. And look, I'm not here to make you guys feel bad when I talk about this. Some of you guys are fifos. Fly in fly outs, shift workers. A lot of you running your own businesses, running your own gig, Whether it's financially successful or not. It's come at the cost of the family. And. And you're in the grind. You know, you're in the grinder, and it feels like life is turning into mints because of it. It's just a realization. Okay, let's stop. Let's create some realignment here. Fuck, man. Where am I going? And why am I actually progressing in life as a father? Okay, remove that. Am I progressing in life as the man I want to be? Well, who is the man that you want to be, and what is that man connected to? Well, you, if it's connected to your children. Okay, who is it as a man that I'm turning up as? So as a byproduct, I am being the father that I choose to be. My children aren't looking up and going, there's Al. They're going, there's my father. There's daddy. There's my dad. And yes, they're being smartasses now because they know my first name. So sometimes they yell at Al. Just don't. Just don't show them. Don't show them the picture of me in the big red tights when I used to do CrossFit at the regionals. Oh, man. Fuck, that was funny. Good legs, though. Good legs. The man could move. But. Yes, yes, very funny. I'm sure you'll find it if you. If you typed it in. If you typed in my name and CrossFit. But the big red. The big red tights, hopefully they never say that. But look, this all comes down to you understanding that whilst you think you're giving and providing for your family, that's just your perception alone. You're. Is that what your wife wants? Maybe. I mean, of course, women are conditioned through society, with looks, through magazines, all the Hollywood bullshit. Of course, their condition manipulated to a degree because of the severe peer pressure and perception of what a woman should be. I definitely see that. But. So I get. I get it. They want to make sure they've got nice cars or nice things, a nice house, go on holidays. I get all that. But what do they actually want? What do they need from you as their husband? Have you asked? Have you sought clarity? You may think you're providing certain things for the family. Is that what they want? You can't replace dad with dollars. It doesn't matter how much money you have. And it's really weird because it's not, you know, just on an offshoot to that. I've never met the man. I feel drawn to him sometimes. I don't know why. I'd love to get him on, actually, for a show. Mark, Boris. I mean, most of you would know who he is. And I think he used to be in insurance and then banking and did the wizard home loans and all that sort of stuff. But I've read his book and great, great principles. Tough man. Still fights, jumps in the boxing ring at, I think, 63 years of age. Like, grew up in Punchbowl, which is where my grandparents grew up in, and we weren't too far from there, Western Sydney, and, you know, read his book and followed some of his stuff. And, yeah, he openly talks about having his four kids. I think they're four sons as well. And he said, I do have regrets, you know, but I'm here and I'm now, and it's hard. It would be hard for Mark because he's got so much success in certain areas of life, and he's seen as a father figure to a lot of different people. And he's just a man like all of us. But that's his area of influence, which he's created. He's following. But at the same tone of talking about the regrets, in the same breath, he washes away that this is just my life and it's where I am now, it's what I do. And he accepts and owns that. I'm not saying I'm not bad mouthing Mark at all either. It's not a good or a bad, a right or wrong. It's just. It's really fascinating when you look at that. It's like, I don't know, man. Like, I just can't. I can't see my life moving forward being complete, whole, let alone being a hypocrite, but being complete and whole. And that's no one else. Definitely not talking about Mark. I'm talking about our message. I can't see it being complete and whole if I don't follow through and just build some level of awareness, intelligence, actions and alignment to make sure that when we're juggling the three balls of life, family, self, and service, we don't let them become glass. We don't let them shatter like it is possible. Yes, life will get harder. I am living and breathing it now. I'm adding value to the world in service. I'm adding value to my own life and looking after myself. I'm adding value to my family, family, self, and service. They are the three things that make the man's life. I cann my life being successful if I don't have them. I'm not saying my kids define who I am. I'm not saying my wife defines who I am. Some of you guys might be on your second or third marriages not married at all. You just have a partner now. You're just single. And that's okay. Just single. Excuse the word. Just fuck that off. You may just be. It's not about that, you know, it's only justice or just that. So apologies for that there. What I'm saying is you may be single, you may have a partner, you may be married, but they don't define who you are. But it certainly influences your legacy. Looking over your life on who you were to yourself first and then those around you. If you have a mindset thinking that the dollars that you're earning can replace the dad that you are to your children, you are wrong. It won't. I can't look back on my life and go, you know What? Yeah, I'm 68 years of age and I'm going, okay, a few little knocks with health as I start to get a bit older. But 68 years of age and yeah, look, it's nice. I've got $83 million in the bank account, we've earned a billion dollars in revenue, blah, blah. I'm just throwing numbers around. But I don't have a family, my kids don't even know who I am. I've got poor relationships in and out. And not saying it's a right or wrong, I can't say that being the path, man. Like, if you're listening to our podcast and you've listened to me for long enough, you must know that it is possible. It's hard work, but it's the fucking greatest thing ever, man. Like, I love that. I've leveraged skill sets developing, crashing and burning businesses, going into debt, sold my gym at a 7x loss, a couple hundred grand in debt, and there's people who have more debt than that. And that's not taking into account home loans and other things. But that's just that business decision alone to go, well, fuck it, I'll keep moving forward to a stage where, yeah, look, Covid's shot to shit a lot of brick and mortar businesses. And that's horrific and it's horrible. And I feel for those people. I feel for the mental health element of that as well, especially some of the fucking ridiculous decisions that we all know are being made by the powers that be. You know, when we're looking at mental health fortitude or family and having the right tools, it's like, shit, man. It's a lot of people really hurting. But I've got the agility because I learned and adjusted and changed and, you know, I'm not going to keep sitting here and saying 2020 and 2021 were the best years of my life. But yes, they are probably two of the most fulfilling and successful years. Not just because of new children entering my life being born, and not just because of our message. Growing, adapting and evolving. Not just because of more fathers we've reached with a ripple effect of their family, but because it was a reflection of who Al continually pushes through the mud, the adversities, the fires of Hellman, to continually carve out who I'm going to be the next 12 months and then who I'm going to be again in the next 12 months. That's created leverage. Not arrogant, not here to boast. You know, I'm proud that I've come through the other end because guess what? Guess what wasn't on the other end and at the other end of the other end? Being completely broken, Shattered. Living in my gym, falling apart in my marriage with my wife, leaving her for the wrong reasons. The children. We wouldn't even have the children. We have the IVF failing. Like there are so many wrongs that could have happened. So I'm blessed that I've earned that right. And we've all earned the right to play in life to a degree. But what I'm saying is if you continually expand and grow and chase that growth, you start to recognize that you have the skill sets and ability and tools to spend time with your children. Look, I'm very happy that I get to see my kids three to five hours a day. I see them a lot. But also I work very fucking hard. Like last year was 2:33am wake ups and I'm not a shift worker. That's 2:33am till 5pm so there are periods of time where no, I wasn't seeing my kids for four to five hours a day. Or there are periods of time where, yes, when I did come over at five o', clock, I'd see the kids for two to three hours. But what they got was dad who was completely shattered after working 16 hours or 14 hours, being up at 2 o', clock, getting a couple of hours sleep because the kids can't sleep. Like this is. This is the price to pay, man. But it's not a grind. Life shouldn't be a grind. There are periods where you will grind, yes, but in its entirety. It's not the grind and the hustle. That's the fucking weak. That's the weak man's approach because he justifies the reasons to just be a fucking workaholic and neglect the key areas of his life, his health and his family. You can't replace dad with dollars. Gentlemen, as we move forward throughout our life, we must maintain a hunger for intelligence. And gaining that intelligence through knowledge and gaining that intelligence through knowledge that then has an application. To learn from knowledge isn't learning knowledge is acquiring, applying action and then connecting the two. And reflecting is when you learn. That's the true. Like, that's when you're getting your wisdom, that's when you're getting experience runs on the board, not mincing words and that sort of stuff. You might have a different viewpoint, but it's the truth. Like knowledge means fuck all without the application of action. Because you know what you should do and you don't do it right. It's actually worse Than ignorance. Knowledge is worse than ignorance without backing it up with action. So it's important to explore things. And when I say explore things, exploring, well, what am I doing and why? How much money do I need? Like, how much will I have to be happy? Am I investing that in the right things? Am I fucking wasting it? Like, it's obviously no secret when men invest financially inside of our program, they're paying themselves. They're investing, giving back to themselves and using us as the vessel to grow. And yes, running businesses and the other moving parts, that gives them time and energy back. It's priceless. You can't weigh this up. I mean, if I want to go for the kill here, a perfect example is, yeah, the fathers we saved from divorce. They've ranged from 1 to 4 million dollars in settlements if they were going to eventually go that path. Newsflash, our program isn't one to four million dollars. Not yet anyway. You get special access with Al, we get robes. Fucking hell. So it's critical, man, to really be smart as you move forward through your life. Look, I love a book called Profit first by Mike Michalowicz. That's phenomenal because the principle actually applies to our principle. If you're running a business, you pay yourself first. Here comes the revenue. I'm going to pay myself and then I'm going to work out the expenses. It creates great rules and confinements, great structures on how to hold money. You've got to learn to get money. How do I provide value when I'm talking about this? This is an interesting topic. Some people are sensitive. Talk about, well, how do I get some Fuck, let's provide some value to the world. Let's change some lives. Products, services and beyond. What does that look like? But then you've got to hold the money and then you've got to grow the money. This is important. And I'm not here to give some sort of business coaching session or to talk about growing wealth in your life. Maybe not yet, maybe we'll do them down the track. But this is really about understanding the valued principle of you can't give 100% to your family if you're not 100% in yourself first. Same applies when you're acquiring wealth and finances. It's not a replacement. Same with you can't be 100% if you're not giving to yourself first. The kids don't get 100%. You can't leverage time and energy if you don't have right rules and confinements to take away the element of Being human, which is waste, which is just what's in front of us. We go and spend, we go. And I'm not talking about penny pinching and that sort of stuff either. Nothing against barefoot investor and those sorts of things. There's some good value in there. But also, okay, well, how do I actually not only make more money or save money, not waste, fuck all that sort of shit off. I'm using this as a base for you to go, how do I start? By switching gears between my ears and actually finding out what is it that I want in my life? What is it that the people I love and care about most want from me in their life? What do my children need from me? And then what do they want from me? And what do I want to give them? What do I need to give them? What do I want from them in return? Even if I get nothing from them in return, what I'm getting from them in return is what I'm giving them, which creates a level of comfort and contentment of who I am to them. I hope that makes sense, then. It certainly did to me. But what I'm saying is, even if you don't have an expectation of your children, that's fine. What I'm saying is, what am I getting in return from them? By giving them the father that I want to give them. That's a powerful thing. This is a hidden trade and it's not. It's not a return. I don't need a return from you, son. I know that by providing that from you. Because I'm giving it to you. You're already giving back to me because I know I'm the fucking man. I'm the father. I'm your father. You can't replace dad with dollars, man. And I get it. It's hard. There's going to be some of you guys who'll be emotional. I don't see my kids out, or I do fly and fly outs. I do fifo, or we just need to get ahead or just a few more years or just a few more months, or. I get all that. I'm not saying it's right or wrong. You just can't stay in a stuck mindset with it, mate. Because if you do, maybe the right or wrong will become a wrong one day. Maybe you will burn out. Maybe you'll come home and the bags are packed. Maybe that extra fight will boil over with the misses. Maybe we'll get to a stage where you're like, fuck, the kids are 14, 11 and 9. What's I was changing nappies yesterday. I mean, yeah, we got two investment properties. One's doing okay and the other one's struggling a bit. Mate, fuck all that shit off. What is here and now? What is your life? Don't worry about watching the clock of time. Don't worry about the sun rising and setting and the moon coming and going. Half full, quarter. Have a look at your children. That'll show you a measurement of time. It's crazy. It really is. You might not be there yet. It's very hard to flick a switch on outcomes if you're listening to this and understanding. You know what? Al's right. I need to fucking be more present. Because when I blow up or when I'm not, and this isn't just about not being able to see your kids, this is also, okay, well, how present are you with them? You know, the whole, you can't replace dad with dollars. It's like, I can fucking be grumpy. I can be whatever I want out because I, you know, they're under my roof. Good one, mate. How's that playing out for you? What I'm talking about is you can't just use. You can't just be lazy and sit back on going, well, I'm fucking using money to make sure that they're alive, they're eating, they're. Blah, blah, blah, to justify not turning up and being the father. They need the father that deep down you really want to be because they remember you. Remember, oh, fuck. You just beat yourself up. Maybe you won't say it to your missus or to your mates or to the kids. Might be hard. Lose face, lose power, lose control. Admit you're wrong. We're all there, man. We've all got pride inside of us. Don't let ego rule your life. Ego's there. It's prevalent in all of us. It's necessary. But not to run your life. No way. He sits in the back seat. You're the driver. You can't just do that and think that things will be okay. Because you remember as well. And even though you might not express it, you bottle it up, you suppress it, and that suppression leads to an explosion. If it's outwards, everyone suffers. If it's inwards, people may not initially see, but guess what? Everyone suffers. You can't replace dad with dollars. That means you can't justify turning up as a shit man through your actions, not judgment of who you are. I don't judge people. I observe actions and expressions of energy. And if they're ones that are Pulling you away from growth, love and leadership. They are shit actions. I'm not saying you're a shit man, but they are shit actions. Who can argue the point? You're the one who takes it personally. You're the one who takes it personally, James. Oh, Al just called me shit. It's like. Well, no, I didn't. I didn't call you shit, James. I just said your actions are shit, mate. Because have a look at this. And have a look at what you've done. You've done some great things. Why aren't you doing them anymore? What's going on, mate? You're not giving back to yourself. You're not being that 100%. You're not filling your own cup first, which means you're pouring air into everyone else's, and then you're getting frustrated because there's no appreciation. Come on, Jimmy. And that's for the. James is out there listening to this podcast that's not directed at you, simply a name that we chose, that I chose. But it's the truth, man. Like, think about it for a second. You can't go through thinking that you can just wipe the slate clean on your conscious time and time again and then look back over your life when your children are all grown up. And regardless of what digits you have in the bank account, like I said, dollars is a representation of a justification of a lack of actions in turning up and being the energy source that they've needed. You've gone off outside of their eyes, outside their realities. My kids don't know I'm doing a podcast right now. They don't know the wrong doing and how we're serving fathers and building not only our business, but building our business through serving and helping other fathers and families and having a ripple effect which is generational. They don't know that's bringing in $5 to buy a loaf of bread for him to have sandwiches. They don't know any of that shit. Of course they don't. So we can't use that as a justification for a poor lack of habits and actions, for a lack of. And a poor range of habits and actions to just mull it over and go, yeah, well, I'm doing this. I'm fucking trying. I'm burnt out. You know, you might be, but have you tried something? Are you just going it alone? Have you accepted it as the norm? Do you think that the lone wolf is happy? Got all your battle scars, limping through the woods, few teeth missing, fair, too many fights. The lone wolf is never happy. And he never wins. He dies, but he dies out of mind and out of sight. Eight billion people, eight billion realities. I used to think about that when I was working in the gyms and whatnot. Like, I hear all these blokes and all of a sudden you just wouldn't see him anymore. I'm like, well fuck, have a look at his movement patterns. Tried to help him with his technique and his posture and everything I knew is going to have that back injury or shoulder and then just disappears. But then out of sight, out of mind, here comes the next one. There's another number, mate. You can't have that approach to your own self. Your health, your habits, your life, your children. They only have one father. And a father is a tag. That's all it is, it's a label, a title which is really built off the back of the expression of energy that they need. Women wear a pair of pants, men wear a pair of pants. There's two. This isn't about being an overlord, but it's imperative that you understand that your kids need you, man. They need you more than nice things. They need you more than a poor attitude, but something you fucking bought for them for two grand the other day. They need you more than your blow ups, your triggers, the bullshit you bring through the door because you don't organize your own habits and look after yourself. But everything's okay because you got this really big project and it needs to be done so you can get your bonus and everyone's happy and goes. Another year and then it's 20, 30. Then one day that conversation just happens with the wife or the conversation doesn't happen with the kids because the connection's gone. We are giants. You are a giant to your children. And the only thing as we wrap this up, getting goosebumps. The only thing when you and I are dead and buried and dust in the earth that we can look back on through eternal life, which we won't be looking back on, but it'll be prevalent. And real is the energy we've passed on to our children, which goes into their mannerisms, their belief systems, their habits, their behaviors, their decision making processes, their courage, their commitment. The fucking backbone. Because you've had a backbone, that spine to be a high performance father, to make sure you organize your shit for yourself, get your energy and your health strong. Make sure you establish your love languages, communicate. Be a true leader to your wife, to your children. Lead by example, to your work, your business. Influence. Persuade. Be the leader that you know you can, will and should be. And when we do that, they stand on our shoulders. Our children must stand on the shoulders of giants. And they will if you follow through and you express life, being the greatest man you can, and then putting that hat on of fatherhood to be the greatest father you can. And when our children stand on the shoulders of giants, you and me, they are standing raised up off the foundation and platform that we've set from the hopes as best as we could from the giants before us, good, bad, and the ugly, teaching us what to do, teaching us what not to do. My father taught me plenty. He also taught me plenty on what I shouldn't do. Our children will be standing on the shoulders of giants, which means they can see further, they can reach higher, and they can achieve more. That's fucking legacy, man. Getting emotional. What a time to be alive. That's. That's legacy. You can't carve out the life you desire for your children if you just go fucking pissing in the wind and thinking that some money or a car or some other bullshit material object justifies your habits, your actions or your lack of presence. Too many already do that. Don't just be another number on the wrong side of the fence. Take some time out right now and just ask yourself, what am I wasting time on? Shit that doesn't matter. What am I wasting that on? Write a list. What am I going to do to get better and improve? How am I going to be more present with my children? How am I going to build real wealth through leverage, time and energy? How can I turn up and be more present and be real with them? Be there, actually be there with them. Because that's time I'll never get back. Another one gone, another year gone. Just actually being there and experiencing, experiencing life with them. Hope you got some value out of this episode. It certainly hits the feels, but fuck, man, take action with it. Don't just ride the waves of feelings. Let's shore it up with some real solid facts. On reflection on alignment and then moving forward to where you know is the right place to be for yourself and for your children. 1,000 minutes a day. It's a lot. But when you're wasted on shit that doesn't serve you or move yourself or your family forward, you are bleeding the most valuable resource that you and I never get back. How much time do you think you have and how much quality do you think you've had? Don't be a fool like the masses thinking you'll cheat the system or get round to it one day or worse. Just accepting life and sinking back into a slumber of regret. This is your moment, your time. You're cut from a different cloth. You have the hunger and desire to be more and live more. Otherwise you wouldn't be here. So stand up. Find the golden nuggets. In this episode, you just listened to and align immediate action with them and where you want to go. You are worthy. This is your life. You are the king. And this is your kingdom. Now go and claim it by showing, not telling, and be the real leader. You and I both know you were born to be.
