Al argues that the greatest gamble a man makes is betting on himself. He urges fathers to invest in physical and mental health, environment, rituals, and relationships to turn the odds in their favor and avoid slowly eroding through inaction and bad habits.

Welcome to another episode of Real Dad Movement podcast. The point and purpose of these episodes, as always, is to have a point and purpose towards helping you win the second half in life by building a path of becoming the best father, husband, man and member of your community that you can be. We do this with various ways of connecting. Life is connection. And as you hear these words spoken time, time and time again, know that the driving force of connection in life is energy. Which means that how you turn up as a father, as a husband, as a valued member of society will always start and end with how you turn up as a man within yourself. First, this is why it's my mission, my purpose, our mission, our purpose through Real Dad Movement to inspire, motivate, educate, and guide you into thoughts, feelings, actions, and a change in your belief systems to rise up, cut the shit from your life, and live and leave a real legacy. When dads win, everyone wins. And when you win, I win. Let's get moving forward, mate. Right here, right now. The greatest gamble a man will make in this episode. I just want to slow down things a little bit and just get some thought processes happening with and for you. I love the episodes. I'll make a promise not to swear in this one. I love the episodes that we do, and I really do. We continue to grow in popularity and those who don't agree with us, that's okay. It's all good, man. Our way is the way. It is the answer. We see phenomenal changes where men win in all three areas. Family, self and service. And we're bloody proud of that. I'll probably say the word bloody a lot. It's technically not a swear word, but the important thing to recognize man as we move through life is life is a gamble. Call it risks, call it, you know, taking a chance, get comfortable being uncomfortable, all that sort of stuff. And you know, it's all true. There are no guarantees on life. When we talk about the second half, how much time do you think you have? The average might be 81.7 or it's thereabouts. It sort of changes every year, but it sits around that 80 to 82 mark for men in Australia. Are you really in the second half? I've had mates already dead and four of those didn't make it past 45, which means their second half started somewhere between 16 and 20. Life is a gamble, man, but this episode is about just slowing down. And please understand this, like, you choose to be influenced. I'm not here. I want all fathers to win. We know that when we do it the right way, with love and leadership, everyone wins. That's a given. That's a standard, that is an absolute, that is a universal truth. It's not taking away from women, certainly not taking away from children. We all have the capacity to lead the way that we do it. Yes. When dads win, everyone wins. So please understand here with these podcasts, and especially this one, I'm not here to plant seeds of doubt. We all have that, all of us. You're not different. I have that as well. We all have that. And whether it's a tightening of the chest, anxiety, whether it's fear, whether it's looking forward to the future and going, what can I do? How can I do it? Instead of the now, or not learning from the past or repeating the past, we all have those pockets and periods where we're like, ah, man, I bombed out again. And well, you know, I'm not turned up the way that I should. Oh, this is bloody happening again. And we find ourselves in this vicious cycle. You're not alone. I do as well. So I'm not here to create those sorts of malicious seeds of doubt saying that you're not enough or you're going to fail. It's just understanding the value of life as a whole and its energy and you can't do that as one energy source. I've got nothing wrong with personal success. I really don't. It's a fantastic term, you know, like I didn't design our logo but I said yes to it. Right? You should have seen some of the other logos. Holy moly, man. It's. I'm glad I've got good taste. So not that the graphic design was wrong. You know what they're like, any area where they're chipping away at creating some sort of brand symbolism, logos, all that sort of stuff that there's obviously a range of testing. I've had a lot of personal success in my life, but I'm not self made. I might have started real dab movement, high performance father, but it's not me, it's all of us. It's even you guys listening. Yeah, we're rounding out and getting closer to 50,000 downloads. It's like, it's pretty cool to see that there are some of you who will email me, message me, contact me, contact the crew, the tribe and share some of the changes that you've made. I really enjoy that. Like, I'm really proud of that. So I'm not self made. No one is. I can't stand that term. It's BS because we all need help at different stages and different phases of life. I talk about, you know, there's no baby. I've never seen a baby walking, talking out of the womb, wiping its own ass. That's a very direct. Like, if. If I want to prove a point, I'll cut and go to the top. I will go for the kill. And then you can peel it back into subtleties of. You've got that little voice inside, don't you? We all do. Don't. Don't deny it. So there's little. You zig instead of zag. You pull away. You don't go for it. You don't go for that job interview. You don't go for that contract or that business. And you're not building the right habits in that area because you think things will be okay and you're just pulling away. I'm tired. I just need to relax and I just need to unwind. So you start to watch TV and a couple of beers creeps in. Next thing you know, you're drinking three to five days a week and it's only one or two hours. Yes, but you are an alcoholic. Do you understand what an alcoholic is? It's not bound by volume of one session. It's bound by repetition, identity and a habit. It is a subtle belief system. We've had members here who have done a bottle of JD a day. Should be dead, man. Like, that's a lot. And we've cut them down to a couple of drinks a couple of times a week. Like, that's fantastic. That is a massive win. You're looking at. What are we looking at? 120 to 150 standard drinks a week. Like down to eight. Awesome. So when we're painting this picture, there are a lot of different subtleties that help us identify that we can't go it alone. We do need help. We do need guidance. We do need support. Because life is a gamble. But here's the key thing. What is the greatest gamble that you will ever make as a man? What is the greatest gamble a man will ever make? Gambling's a really funny word too, you know, say it 10 times, it just looks weird, it reads weird, it sounds weird, but we see it. It's everywhere, right? You know, you think, you know gambling. Straight away, the first two words that come to my head are pokies and horses. I don't know why, because I do neither. But again, this is the subconscious. This is conditioning. This is what we're exposed to. You see, the Ads and you see, you know, whether it's. I don't know, what are some of them called? There's so many these days, isn't there? There's some really weird ones that I think are online now. And I think one of the. There's obviously your main ones, there's the tab. And then obviously, is it sports bet, bet fair. You know, it's a part of our life. But what I'm talking about is a bigger gamble in all of those. But again, we get tied into these addictions and they become a chronic habit. Well, guess what the biggest addiction is? It's the addiction to maintaining the. Or holding onto the stories and the narrative that create the current version of who you are, which could be very well and truly destroying everything around you over a period of time. But it's the tiptoe right now. Whilst it might have been debunked, the whole frog in boiling water thing, the symbolism behind it is true. And if you don't know what that is, put a frog in a pot of water, make it lukewarm, and he'll sit, turn it up a little bit, gets a bit hotter, turn it up a bit more, gets a bit hotter, and you can slowly creep it all the way up to boiling point, and he just doesn't get out. Because there's a slow adaptation, a point where bang, all of a sudden it's too late and he dies. He's suffocated, restricted, paralyzed, gone. It's true. That's what happens. So when we're talking about addictions, sometimes some of the addictions we don't even know about are the ones that start from the inside out on holding onto the bs, the stories, the excuses that you create inside of your own head because you don't have an outside influence and you can't have an influence close to you that's going to help move you. And you can't change anyone. But we can move you better than your wife can. Even if she gives you the ultimatum because we've had that, or even if they're trying to help you. I don't coach my wife, do I guide, steer and lead where I can. Of course. That's my role. That's what I love. That's my responsibility. It's what I enjoy, it's what I'm great at. Just like she wears a pair of pants for the household. When you come to us as a blank canvas, it's fantastic because we just want you to win, because that's how we win. Our reputations runs on the board, our brand, all of the above. Look, I love that we get guys who follow our podcasts and they love and listen to me, and I'm humbled by that. And of course, that's something that builds a level of connection. But what can I deliver the way that I deliver? You know, we've got thousands in our free group, or, you know, we've served thousands of fathers over the years and we've got our inner circle. And these men are absolute titans. You know, I'm creating certainty because my environment's looked after, right? I've got champions around me. So I'm not here to convince or sell anyone. I'm just like, well, it just works like. And not. It just works like there's a phenomenal process, but that process just works. And I can say that because here are the facts, not the feelings. You're going to feel this, you're going to feel that. It's amazing, fantastic, unbelievable. And you know, I can motivate anyone. Very, very good at that. But it's like, well, okay, that'll elevate the state. How do we maintain the state? Well, feelings actually follow the facts. Real feelings, feelings that need to be true. Feelings that connect the internal and the external reality, not just a fantasy in your head. And then when you look outside, there's insanity and frustration because nothing lines up. This is what I'm talking about, man, when we're talking about a gamble. And I'll get to my point in a second. How good are these 10 minute intros? It's really painting the picture for you. You can't just. I'm not here to dive in 100 miles an hour and it's like, whoa, it's a whirlwind. Where did that come from? This addiction without knowing. So holding on to a lesser, a weaker version, not judging you, not saying you're weak. It's the actions that define the expression of energy that comes from the source of the man. So when I'm looking at something and I don't think this is a swear word because I've held 100% heat ratio so far, not swearing. But when I look at something like, man, that's a piss week action, it's not you are piss weak, it's your actions and what you're expressing. Because we know the potential of what you can do, because guess what? Other people have done it. Which means you have no excuse is piss week. Because you can be more, you can do more, you can be better. And it's not stay hungry and Unsatisfied. And I'm very satisfied. The men on the inside are incredibly satisfied with where they're hit. But let's raise the bar a little bit. Like, we're here, man. You've still got a bit more time and a bit more energy, so why not? Someone says why? Well, they're people who are just settling for a standard and then slowly destroying themselves and everything they love and care about. Why not? Why? Why not? Why? Why not? I'll stay on this side, thanks. You stay on that side. Let's not worry about answering those two. You just stay with that perspective on why should I try out? Why should I be more. Why should I do this? Why should I that. Put your hand out. Be that victim. Be entitled. Yeah. There's a difference between a victim mentality and a trauma mentality. We've all been on the receiving end, and we've all been victims of something. Someone just walks up out of nowhere and punches you in the face. Yeah, of course you're a victim of that, but that's. That's a traumatic experience. When we talk about a victim mentality, what I'm talking about is you continuously engaging with the awareness that you can change. Things can change. Especially if you're listening to this. You have technology. You have the resources, the resourcefulness, the tools, the ability. This is. What is this? 152 Episode 152. You've got, like, over 100 hours of that. There's. I don't know, there's hundreds of videos on our YouTube channel, which is amazing. You've got access to it all to shift your state. The greatest gamble a man will make in his lifetime. What do you think the answer is? If you've followed me for long enough, you should know what's one thing that everything outside of yourself that you love and care about is connected to? What's the common denominator? Regardless of right wrongs, good, bad and the ugly? It's you. It's always you. It's gotta be you. And it's not as quirky as it is. Hey, if it is to be, it's up to me. I get that. But it's not up to me alone. Lone wolf, is he? Really happy? Got all your battle scars, mate. Got all your survival war stories. Fantastic. How's life going now? Oh, you've continued to go it alone as what, your badge of honor? We've all got pride. We've all got ego. But who's steering the ship? The greater version of you or the version who keeps living in the past and stealing precious nows and precious moments and precious future, present nows and moments. No one wins their man. The greatest gamble a man will make in his lifetime is on himself. The end. I hope you enjoyed this episode. Look, it's bad. I'm a bad. I can, you know, the wittiness and the smart ass nature that I have inside me is purely around playfulness now because I can't. You can't unleash the. No one wins. It's not good. Can't unleash the monster there and I can't unleash him on myself. Like, this is. This is what we do, right? You build the skill sets, you build the ability to be sharp, to be witty, to have that tactile approach physically and mentally towards life that can turn on you, man. You've got to be careful of that. I can bring that rage out and put it against our or the little voice inside. So this is what I'm talking about. When you can't go it alone, man, you will destroy yourself. The greatest gamble that you'll ever make isn't on the horses, isn't on the dogs, isn't it the Pokies isn't buying 50 tickets for $10 for the meat raffle down at the local club. It's on yourself. This is the hard part, though. It's not down to the casino. Always bet on black or bet on red. My nickname was Big Red, so I guess I used to go red more than black. It's none of that. It's the energy source that's driving life. The eyes that are being lived through, which is you and everything else that is connected to which is you and the common denominator, which is you, the greatest asset. But then quickly, if you forget this, the greatest liability, which is you, you are your greatest gamble, man. The question that you need to ask yourself is, well, am I turning and putting the odds in my favor? Because there's no guarantees on life. I could be dead in three months. I'd like to get more than 200 podcast episodes and probably help a few more men and see my kids grow up a bit more. But you just don't know. I mean, as soon as I say that, there becomes this little level of fear, of worry, of doubt. It's like, jeez, man, like, what's going to happen? I don't want to, you know, I don't want to die. And we all get this number in our head. For me it's like 87. I'm like, if I do that, you know, I go past the average. But all that aside, I'm like, if I'm healthy, fit and strong in my 50s, I'm just warming up and I've got a good 30 years left of just phenomenal experiences. Being a grandfather, potentially great grandfather. Just experiencing and exhausting all that life has to give. What's the chance of that paying off? What's the gamble? This is where I always talk about you taking ownership, controlling what you can control. The greatest gamble a man will make in his life is on himself. Now let's just split that into two key parts. The first one is really about and again, this is for you to ponder on. This is for you to take what applies to you. The first part is looking at the great. We're going to look at the great first and then we're going to look at the alternative, the great. How do I put the odds in my favor? What are you doing to develop and invest in yourself as a man? Knowing and understanding that life is energy. Okay, cool. Thanks, Al. Knowing and understanding that everything you do physically affects you mentally and how you feel beautiful. So everything from grooming, having some self respect in how you dress, like shaving or not grooming yourself to look after your health, your hygiene, all that standard stuff, you know, we obviously have our own supplements, skincare, all that sort of stuff. Because I take pride in how I look for myself and pride of how and who I express myself as. That doesn't mean I go running around in $20,000 suits like it's. There are layers to this, but you know what I mean, what are you doing to maintain well being inside of your physical health, which includes exercise, creating space, grooming, hygiene, how you carry yourself moving forward in your physical and mental health because they are bound together, they are two sides of the same coin to help you express a higher level and more consistent level of energy and having that endurance to carry the day. So when the chaos and the storm comes, you can handle that. Whether it's from your wife, from your children, from your work or business. You've got it, you've got the goods. You're the man. You know, we all have those thoughts. And I'm not here just to paint this. Poor me. I can't stand people who it's. We call it either failure porn. Where it's just like, I failed this, this and this. I had 5 cents in my account and now I'm a billionaire. I can't stand that man. You know as well as people who do ads don't, don't look at the $600,000 car behind me. Just look at me. And it's not about the money. But listen to this. I've seen that before with business coaches. It cracks me up, man. You know what's real and what isn't. That's why when you guys come and you join the tribe, you know that we're legit. You've listened to me long enough. This isn't cgi. Al isn't CGI or a bot. I'm not on a boat or a yacht in the Bahamas kicking back, sending emails and putting virtual background screens in. It's imperative that you really have a look at investing in yourself and your health to first and foremost understand that life is energy. Yes, I need to express a higher level and more consistent level of energy. Yes, I do that by looking after my physical and mental health. That means nourishing, moving, restoring the body, eating good whole foods, walking, creating space, entering in bigger environments, because that's the next point. So nature is great where you are less significant. And when I'm laying down at the beach or sitting at the beach or walking along the beach or walking into the ocean, I see this massive ocean and just wave after wave after wave and the horizon is just endless, like limitless, doesn't end. And I see where I am, like there's big cliff tops, all sorts of stuff. I'm like, mate, this is really. This is really significant, which makes my problems less significant and it makes me feel more connected to life. All of that rejuvenating process, including your morning and night routines, all of this ties into energy, perspective and realignment that puts the odds in your favor because you can then dismiss all the attention and folks that tries to steal your attention and focus and draw you away from things that don't have your best interest at heart. And you can focus on your most important things and you can realign with you, your life, who you want to be, what you want to be, not just all these signs and symbols and some conscious attacks to condition you to believing something that you think is right. But it's your thoughts in your head. It's not your gut instinct, your intuition and who you are and who you choose to be. When you couple that with immersing in the right environment, not just nature, with walks, but the right environment of other men who are bang on the same page, you will win, I promise you, man, because you're going to have a higher energy source. You're going to be continually exposed to the right things, not the wrong things. Pick up your phone, right? I pick this up, it's like 30 different environments I can tap into in two minutes. Search engine or not, apps or not, that's very dangerous, man. You've got to be careful of that. The greatest gamble that you're making, your life is on yourself. What are you doing to put the odds in your favor? Tighten them up a little bit, shorten them up where you know you have the highest chance, the highest success rate possible? Well, it starts with looking after yourself. Your physical and mental health, which is you are the vessel, which is you. The vessel of life is being lived. Your consciousness is being lived through you, in your body, in your mind. That's why you got to look after it. I mean, and yes, out the health, we call it energy. The energy pillar destroys any elite programming I've ever seen because we've got elite coaches with us as well as me being an elite athlete myself. It's like, nah, man, this is. Sorry about the dad bod challenges and all this sort stuff or joining a gym. What we do is crazy because of how much it connects to the man, his life, which brings purpose, depth and consistent results for all. I'm very proud of that. But that's just one piece. What's the environment that you're investing in? Whether it's your mates, your work, Are you influencing that environment? Are you leading that? Are you recreating it? Do you know it's poison? Do you know it's great? Do you actually have that awareness to just zoom out a little bit and go, man, this is not serving me, this is not great, this is not working. But you just do it. Why? Because there's history. Bit harder when you're in a marriage, you're invested, you are, you've got children, you need to create stability for them. You want to be all great things in all areas, which is as a father, a husband, a man, a worker or business owner in society. Well, you need to play the long game and create influence. And sometimes it's a positive outcome, sometimes it isn't. But I'll tell you Right now, 50% of the population divorced at 46 years of age. It doesn't necessarily have to be that the right patterns, the right thought process, the right actions going upstream to the source before it becomes that point of no return. And the point of no return could last for a few years before it actually completely implodes. At least 80% of those 50% probably could have been reconciled. I'm not saying it's good, bad, right or wrong. All I'm saying is what does that environment look like for you right now? Are you aware of it? Where it's heading, where it's going? So alignment A to B. Yes. Physical health, of course. What's that environment look like though? Are you leading and influencing it? Are you partaking? Are you passive in the environment? Are you active in the environment? Is it other people have your best interest at heart? And then what's the directions? How are you moving forward? 1% every day? Where are you moving forward? You know, the thing that we get, and again this episode isn't a plug to say, hey, just sign up to us either you can do whatever you want. This is just helping you understand that at a fundamental level, at a foundational level, these layers that we're putting together or piecing, these pillars, I mean they're our pillars. Alignment, energy, immersion and performance. This is what we get from guys once they're on the inside. Like when they see this and we build this out for them in the word that we hear. Relief. Yeah, of course we hear guys. And it's a given for me. Otherwise we kick guys out, which is very rare if they slip through the cracks in this being a non judgmental community and environment, which is fantastic. I mean, like I said, I love that the guys say that, but that's a given for me. But relief, how are you feeling? I just feel relieved now. It's actually a feeling of relief and like a weight's been taken on my shoulders and I mean, if you listen to me long enough, I was about to say, you know me well, you might not, but you know me well enough if you listen to me to understand that I'm. I'm also not always looking at the source or problem solving, but I'm just driven by curiosity and developing myself. I'm like, okay, why is that? Well, it's just, it's just relief, Al. Because I've got such a direct A to B, it's dialed in for me so I can do it and I don't have to think about it, which frees up my mental capacity and it's going to get me what I want and it's going to improve the things that are closest to me in my relationship with my wife and my children. And this is, this is something that's happened for a long time, but it was only about maybe a month ago I was just like, that's such an interesting word, relief. And then that as well as a couple of. Because I connect with all the men on the inside as well. A couple of guys were talking and the word gamble came up, and I was like, man, that's. That's going to be a great podcast episode. Because things like that word relief, but also gamble. I'm like, I never use that word because I don't gamble. So it never enters my forefront. But I'm like, life is a gamble, man. Life is a gamble. You don't know how much time you have left. Time is fixed whether you know it or not and where you know it or not. I could die at 63, 74, 87, 103. Like, just. I'll probably be pretty. Pretty cooked by then. I'll be more than. Well done. This is my point, though. It's crazy, man, how fixed time is. But we think we still have more than we have more. And we do, because it's an illusion that we continually step into the next now, the next now, the next now. But we don't know when the last now will be. We don't know when we will take our last breath. There'll be a day, one day where you can't pick your kids up and throw them in the air anymore. And maybe that's already coming past. Like, that's a pretty. A pretty big sort of realization. Like, man, there's one day when I won't be able to pick Stella up and throw her in the air anymore. I'm like, well, hang on a minute. If I can still sort of deadlift around 250, 300, if I can still clean and jerk around that 140 mark in my sort of 60s, 70s, and 80s, maybe I could still pick her up. I'm delaying that. I should be, like 35 years of age. I could just pick her up and throw her in the air. It's true. Energy can flex. You can change, and you can have control over that. You can influence that. Life is a gamble, man. You must have the right people around you. You must have the right structure and direction. So you're focusing on the most important things because you and I are never going to have enough time in the world. We will never have enough time in four lifetimes to do everything that we let alone move into a state of an abysmal life because we've not focused on things that truly matter and that we do actually want the most because we haven't even stopped. The world slowed down, reflected and gone. Yes, that's for me. This is how you turn the odds in your favor. Because life is a gamble, mate. But the greatest gamble of all is you. You're the one steering the ship, you're the one driving it. Is everything your fault? Fault is a word. Take with it what you want, but everything doesn't happen to you. Everything doesn't happen for you. Because I've heard motivational wizards say that before. Everything happens in life because of you. Because if your consciousness wasn't present to observe, experience and be part of life, none of this would exist for you. You know what I mean? Like, it's not your problem, you wouldn't be here. If a tree falls in the wood and no one's around, does it make a sound? What tree? How can a tree even exist if there's not a consciousness present to observe it? Now, stay with me here, because this is actually quantum mechanics. This is part of science. I'm not going to expand on this, but what I said then is true. Now, I'm sitting in the office. It doesn't mean that my car doesn't exist downstairs in the car park, but it's not part of my construct of my reality right now. Which means you do have a level of ownership, you do have a level of responsibility and a massive level of control, not only of what you do, but what happens around you in your perceptions and how you choose to see it. Now, let's look at the bad. And when I say bad, not a fan of that word, but it's a common word we can tie to. Let's look at the alternative. Let's look at choice. Because life is a choice. Yeah? If you're heading down a path and one day you're like, well, I'm unhappy alike. Well, you chose that man. You should be happy. Otherwise you would have done something about it, right? So some level of you is settled for and going, yes, I am happy. Why am I happy? I'm happy because I can be grumpy. I'm happy because I can be angry. I'm happy because I can be a victim and point a finger at the world. You know why? Because I haven't invested in myself to raise myself up, to move through some of the hard times, to create a better life. So I am happy with what I've got. But I'm going to tell you, I'm not happy because that removes responsibility. I can wash my hands out. I can wash my hands of it all, man. I've seen that so much. Don't be like that. The greatest gamble a man will make in his life is on himself. This is my point. I still have time. Do you? Do you really? How do you know that? Yeah. Look, things aren't that bad with the wife, I think things, you know. Yeah, we got to work through it. But I don't know, mate. A couple of years, yeah? I got to do something. Otherwise, in a couple of years time it could go south. Will it really? Okay. That's an interesting gamble. You know that, do you? You've spoken to your wife about that? She's. Yep. She's told you that. She said, hey, you've got two years. Do you know what's going on in her head? You're in a position right now like that because obviously you're not communicating properly. Do you know what's going through her mind? Have you asked her what her perspectives are on things? Have you got a written contract? Hey, you've got 24 months until I'm going to divorce you. Really? Okay. Interesting. Yeah. Look, there's a history of heart attacks and health issues and I lost my father earlier. Okay? And yet you're 48 years of age and your life is horrific with your nutrition, your body's out of shape. Really? You're not going to do anything about it? You're going to wait another six months, are you? That's interesting. What a fascinating gamble. You have time, do you? I mean, you've got the ability to turn things around, but you're not fascinating. When will that happen? You're gonna be a coulda, shoulda, woulda, gunna. Okay, so 54 is the age, is it? You got six more years until you might have that heart attack. Because that's what happened to someone that you know. Not six weeks, not six days. You can see what's going on inside your body, can you? That's fascinating. I can't. Like, will you turn it around on your own? Okay, why are we here then? If you're doing it yourself is the answer, how come we're here right now? You had 20 years to turn around on your own, but you haven't done it yet. Okay, this year's the year 2022. Because they're nice numbers. 2022. So it's. The planets have aligned for me this time. Al, I didn't drink on New Year's. So the New year's resolutions on January 1st are better, are they? Okay, cool. Are you going to fail like 94% of people do in the first four weeks? That's a real number, by the way, 94% of people fail New Year's resolutions in the first four weeks. And I'd be fascinated to see it might be 92%. Let's say 92 just to give you a little bit extra. So 8% make it to February. Cool. Well, I'll tell you right now, if we're looking at creatures of habit and patterns, probably 92% of that 8% failed in February. So we've got 8. 8% of 8% of 8%. You know, like, really, you're going to take that gamble? Okay, you're going to go out alone? Okay, who's with you then? All your own thoughts, feelings and emotions. How's that helping you so far? How's that little voice inside going for you? How's the self sabotage? Yeah, right. So that you love the kids, you provide for them, you've got food on table, you got some money in the accounts for them. They're all looked after, they've got security. Okay. What sort of stability? Do you actually know what they want? Do you? Okay, have you asked them? Have you actually asked your son, hey, son, what do you want from a father? You're 12 years of age, you're 13. What would you love? What would you love dad to be? Would you love dad to go and just do some more work? What do you actually want? This is what I mean, man. This is the gamble you're gambling. You are gambling with life. You're gambling with such precious things. You have no idea what it could do to you because it's all unknowns, it's all uncertainty. Uncertainty is when you take no action. Unknowns we all have. But when you combine those two unknowns and uncertainty, because you're not taking actions, and you combine those two and add a third one, let's add that cherry on top in assumptions, man, I wish I didn't say I promised not to swear in this episode because the passion comes up, as you know. But I won't swear. But, man, like, oh, I wish I didn't make that commitment at the start of this episode, you're really willing to take that risk and that gamble with assumptions, uncertainties, unknowns, assumptions, not taking action, something you don't know, making assumptions. And let's put a bit of whipped cream under that cherry. It's the version of who you currently are, which you're not happy with. So why would you listen to him? Because that's the company you're going to continually become, which means that's the company you're going to continue to keep, which keeps pushing you into this vicious cycle of slowly deteriorating everything around you and eroding away from the most important things in your life, starting with yourself, your perspective, your views. And then your family and everything else that you love and care about. Baby, what a time to be alive. None of that makes sense to me. Oh, man, please understand this. We all go through it as we wrap this up. I'm not here to take the piss out of you or point the finger or laugh at you. I'm laughing at the fascination that we all go through this. So what separates us? Why are you gambling so much? You're like, I'm not. Just, I've got a thousand bucks out. I'm not going to. I'm not going to put 50 on red. I can't remember much about roulette. It's been a long time. I'm going to put 50 bucks on red. I'm going to put 50 bucks on. Is it thirds? The first, third. And I'm going to put 50 bucks on the number four. Four is my favorite number. So I said four. You're going all in. You're going, man, I'm putting a thousand bucks on double zero. Let's make it rain, baby. I'm telling you, like, if you want an example. All right, let's go on the horses. Let's go on the Melbourne Cup. All right, Close my eyes. Bang. I'm just going to point at this one. Five grand. I hope this is painting a picture, but it's hard to see because it's a little bit of a slower process, but you're essentially doing that over the course. When you look back, it's like, man, I've. I've gone. I've gone all in on the wrong things, Al. Yes, you have, but it's only wrong from a point of perspective. After the fact. And unfortunately for a lot of you guys, after the fact is almost. When it's too late. It's almost certainly when there's irreversible damage. The point of no return. And some of you guys, whether you reach out and have consults or not, whether you become a member or not. Some of the consults I've had in the past. Great, great. I've enjoyed it. I really enjoy it. I learn a lot from you, like, whether you take that step or not, whether you're the right fit or not, whether we invite you in or not is irrelevant. I'm continually learning from all of these concerts. I don't do many anymore. We have coaches who look after it. But I still keep a finger on the pulse because I learn. I'm like, that's fascinating. It's fascinating that he hasn't taken that step and that he hasn't lined up what he's needed, but he knows. But he said it. But he's an overthinker, but he's procrastinating, but he's defaulting and he's going back the old pattern and you know, like it really is. But this is life, man. This is what it's about. And that's the hard part. If you can't see it yourself, you're taking the greatest gamble of all. And if you can't get out of your own way to navigate by having the right energy, by immersing in the right environment, by having the right direction and co captain steering your ship, it is the greatest gamble of all. But guess what? The odds are not in your favor. They are stacked against you to almost the point of certainty because of your uncertainty, unknowns, assumptions and the vicious cycle of your identity cycle stacked against you with certainty that you will lose. What does losing look like? What does winning look like? Well, for me, losing is when you haven't, man. Losing is when you haven't got it together in family, self and service. You might win and you might have money, you might have family, but you got poor health and you die a young death. You might have great health, but you got no relationship with your family and no money, no value to the world. Service, work, business, coin the term, whatever you want. It's hard, man. This is a very small percentage. But what I love most is it's possible none of us are different from you, none of us are different from each other at certain points in life. That last bit's important. So what separates us? The will, the desire. The desire to understand that the greatest gamble a man will make in his life is on himself. And you know what? You need to bloody back yourself, man. And the way that you back yourself is not by backing yourself into a corner with the current version of who you are, it's by continuously investing in yourself, upgrading who you are, growing in who you are, the environment. You immerse yourself in your energy so you have the capacity to perform and dominate in life. And the love and leadership that is showing, not telling. That's how you win and that's how you win the gamble. Because I'll tell you what, I don't look at my life as a gamble because I'm winning and I'll keep winning and I won't stop winning. Unlike a set of not to be racial, I'm like those set of Asians that you see and they've just got all the numbers stacked and they just play Those small percentages and like, man, look at this group of 40 of them just dominating this roulette table. Not to. I know it's a bit of a. It's not a piss take. You've probably seen or heard of that or you've certainly seen it in movies. That's where our life is going. We create certainty and we control. We control and we dominate. I hope this serves you well and it's really helped open up your eyes to go well, yeah. You will turn it around, will you really? When you give yourself these little statements that you waffle off that things will be okay and you're sweeping things under the rug and, you know, burying your head in the sand. You need to just question that just a little bit. Don't worry about me questioning it. You don't have to do anything. You don't have to justify yourself to me. But just ask yourself that question. Will I? Will I really do it? I've got this next dad boy challenge. I've got this next shake. That is the answer. Is it? Was it the answer before? Will it work? How? Because unfortunately what you do is you hack. I can't say the S word because I said I wouldn't swear, right? But you hack rubbish on yourself and you hack yourself down, your self confidence, self esteem with statements that pull you away from the possibilities, yet you then justify in a vicious cycle of things that could be the answer but you know aren't. It's crazy. It's crazy, man. Flip that around and start now and create the changes that will move you forward and turn life from being that greatest gamble into the greatest gift where you will create certainty. You will rise up, you will lead. Then you will win. 1,000 minutes a day. It's a lot. But when you're wasted on shit that doesn't serve you or move yourself or your family forward, you are bleeding the most valuable resource that you and I never get back. How much time do you think you have? And how much quality do you think you've had? Don't be a fool like the masses, thinking you'll cheat the system or get round to it one day or worse. Just accepting life and sinking back into a slumber of regret. This is your moment, your time. You're cut from a different cloth. You have the hunger and desire to be more and live more. Otherwise you wouldn't be here. So stand up. Find the golden nuggets. In this episode you just listened to and align immediate action with them and where you want to go. You are worth worthy. This is your life. You are the king. And this is your kingdom. Now go and claim it by showing, not telling, and be the real leader. You and I both know you were born to be.
