Al outlines four principles for high-performance fathers: be fully present in each life circle, embrace struggle as growth, invest in yourself to give more to others, and build skills instead of wishing for better circumstances.

If this is something that you're really starting to resonate with and you've racked up five, 10, 15, maybe 20 podcasts by now, I just want to ask a small favor of you. The greatest way that we create the greatest impact inside of this world is by reaching more people and more people really tying into the value they can offer themselves at a fundamental level. HPF stands for fathers really valuing and believing in themselves and investing in themselves so that they and their family wins. A couple of quick things. I hope you enjoy the episode ahead. It's a phenomenal one that we've just recorded for you, but essentially I'd love for you to give us a review. Obviously a five star review would be amazing, but whether it's itunes, Spotify, Amazon, it could be on Facebook, a Facebook review anywhere, Google, anywhere where you see this value in you, giving us the approval and recognition that will spread this message. Much respect. Really appreciate you for doing that and also sharing this with someone who you know would get huge benefits out of listening to this as well. So enjoy the episode ahead. But if there's just one thing I could ask for 10 to 30 seconds of your life to give back. I love doing these episodes. I do these for you, member or not, and for the wider community. I'd love it if you could just give a little bit back and really promote that you support this and this is something that you would love to share with others who you know would get value out of this as well. Welcome to Al's Insights. We've got a short, sharp special episode today. We're going to be covering four key points. I've had lots, lots of little one liners come through to me. Typically these come from the members themselves. So I firstly want to kick off this episode by saying no, no man is ever self made and no man who claims to have 250 plus podcast episodes of his own doing, of his own mental capacity and brain and frameworks, is telling you the truth. Everything that I do within the realm of high performance, father, and this incredible mission that we're looking to take global one day, and that one day is hopefully next year, comes down to the men and what I learned from the men on the inside and inspired by the men who embody the mission of HPF and what we stand for, I think that's really important. Gentlemen like you must stand for something in this life and not stand for something off the back of some of the cross members of a fence that you're still resting on where you just perk Yourself up a little bit higher. Nope. Properly stand on your own two feet for something in this world, in this life. Because if you don't, as you've probably heard the saying, you'll fall for anything. And you may not believe you do. And this is the greatest illusion, right? We feel we're in control. We feel we're navigating our life. But you're doing that within the limited capacity of your own individual consciousness without being part of something more. How do you truly know that you can stand for something at a higher level that not only enriches your life, but the lives of others you love and care about? So these insights, there's one pretty powerful one from a member that I want to share. He doesn't even know this. And that's what I love about this. Some of these things the men on the inside with HPF off or share. Sometimes I don't even know the depth or the gravity of what they're saying, which is truly a blessing that I'm humbled to be able to extract and share because of the space that I'm in. Always listening, always paying attention. Everything. I mean, even all these books behind me, regardless whether it's a business, sales, recruitment mindset, spiritual philosophy, whatever it might be, all of the content that I move through in this life is done through the lens of how can this help the man, how can this help fathers, how can this help families? Which is why, despite all the specific content inside of the books and other things that I learn, I never actually learn anything around men or fatherhood. I've never followed, certainly never copied like all the other copycats with hpf. But look, I'm proud of that. I'm not an arrogant man. HPF should be number one. If we didn't exist, fuck me, the society is falling. Like, what else is there out there? You may see bits and pieces pop up, but there's nothing like what we do. So this is a must. If HPF fails, then we have failed society. And I truly believe that in my heart. That's not an arrogance thing. It's why I've never. Like, the men on the inside are incredible. It's why I have never felt the need to copy, model, or even look into other various programs that are either leadership based or performance based and geared towards either all walks of life or men. And yet here we are, nearly 30,000 hours in the space. I just feel so dialed in to this. Which is why there's a beautiful connection with those listening. Even if you're not on the Inside. And obviously those who are members of hbf. Cozy's looking phenomenal. Can't wait for that. Brisbane. What an event it was. That was huge. We've got some, some pretty cool highlights coming out. And Perth, Perth, June 14. It's going to be massive. Really looking forward to coming over and bringing the team over and really giving everything I can to the men of Western Australia. If you, if you know anyone, any key decision makers, or if you want to build this, whether it's labor, high companies, the mining industry, defence force, military, whatever it might be, please reach out to alexiperformancefather.com I've got an assistant who handles that email, but nonetheless, she'll be able to advise me of you guys reaching out because I really want to make this as big as we can and serve and help as many as we can. Let's get on into it. Man Hours insights. So four key points I want to cover today and ripping through them, just giving you perspective. Please understand, with these key points, it's not. I'm not here to motivate you. I'm a passionate man. I'm here to drive and inspire. Change, of course. But I can't change you. You must change yourself. You're the one who has the keys to your own house, Castle, Kingdom, and you are the one that puts that key in the lock, turns the key and opens the door and walks through. So all I can do is present various doors, be it perspectives or different opportunities in real time. Actions, strategies and tactics, or foundational things on your belief systems and what you stand for. And these doors are yours to open. So let's rip into these four points that I have today. Short, sharp one. The very first one is wherever you are, be there. I can't remember where I heard this. It might have been. I've gone back through some of Jim Rohn's stuff. I just love that dude, man. Like, he's. He passed away, I think maybe nearly 20 years ago. Might have been 2008. Phenomenal. The Godfather of personal development and philosophy tied into one, as well as actions and strategies that aren't bound in fluff or ambiguity. I think it might have been him. I'm not sure. I really love his audiobook, you know, and I've applied so much of that. Again, like I said, towards fatherhood and mental health. Wherever you are, be there. This is so important, gentlemen. What that is is presence. So be present with presence. That's presence with a C, not a ts. You know, it's. It's so Important. Otherwise you're cheating those around you. And even if you're left to your own devices, right? So if you're doing some. Some thinking time, some reflection time out on your own, you're out in nature, typically, there's a bit of that. That monkey brain going on. There's a bit of noise and whatnot, which is why you don't want to walk for three minutes. You want to try and walk for, you know, 30 to 75 minutes, and eventually you get some sort of stillness. But you're cheating yourself if you're in your own company and you're thinking about work or stress or worries or these problems that you need to fix or solve, or your wife or your kids, or you're cheating yourself for the opportunity of the exact purpose of why you were engaging that activity in the first place. Don't do that. Like special time with your kids. 10 minutes of one to one. Don't cheat that time with them by just being a physical body that's there, but you're not really present because your head's thinking about the problem you solve. That's not fair. Wherever you are, be there. When we talk about family, self and service, these three circles talking about, for me anyway, is a law. This is a law. So when you are engaging in one of those circles, you must be. It must be like, bigger than the Great Wall of China that surrounds that circle. That does not allow you to impede on what it is that you're doing inside of that circle. The purpose of the reason why you're there, to then break through some sort of wall and then cross over. It's like family, self and service all in one go. Doesn't work that way. It's almost like when you reflect the lag measure after the fact is, yes, I've hit that sweet spot in the middle. But essentially what we're doing every single day, just like right now, I'm in the circle. So family out at the gym doesn't exist. I'm here doing a podcast, giving value. I'm in the circle of service. You must be all in on that circle. You have to be. So that's why it's a law to me. It's like when I'm in the circle of service, I'm all in on that. When I'm in the circle of family, I'm all in on that. When I'm in the circle of self, I'm all in on that. Went to the gym earlier this morning. What happens? Things with work creep up. Things with family creep Up. We're slowly. We're slowly dropping. We started with one in the house that's got the flu, another's got the flu, and another is heading south very quickly. Just got a fever. So there's me and Lily. Alien left, Corinne, Roman and Stella have all dropped or they're. I shouldn't say drops for the. They're not dead, but they're. They're incredibly ill. And what a crazy, you know, week and a half that it's been. And I said, I'm not getting it. So I've slowly moved from bed to bed to bed, and I think I'll end up on the lounge eventually where I just need to stay away and I need to really isolate myself from the rest of the family, you know, so that's going through my head. But you know what? I still got up, went to the gym, got a workout in, and filled my cup of self. How can I get one more rep? What can I do here? I need to tweak and change. I'd love to put this music on. Here's. That's going to pump me up a bit more here. I don't want any more music. I just want to be still and present. I want to focus on the muscle and the contraction and it's. It's really getting that magnifying glass. Wherever you are, be there. Otherwise you are cutting yourself short. Now, can you engage in special time or sit down at dinner with the family and you might talk about work? Sure you can, but. But this is about, you know, really going deep into the granular of the purpose of the circle that you're in. I'm in this circle. What's the purpose of this circle that I'm in right now? So there's a crossover. Of course. I can talk to Corinne about work. I'm talking to family, you know, my children about work. What I'm talking about is when you're focusing on something, when there is presence required, where you want a level of depth, connection, or an outcome that goes above and beyond, you know, quote unquote, multitasking, superficial touch points, whether it's your family, yourself, work colleagues and whatnot, you gotta focus on the one man. Wherever you are, be there. I can talk about my family in this podcast, but this is the circle of service right here. Now, wherever you are, be there. You're cutting your kids short, you're cutting your wife short, you're cutting your workers and colleagues short, your employees short, you're cutting your clients short. Imagine if I was sitting here just doing this podcast and I just, I don't know, on my phone, filling the cup of self scrolling through social media, let's say I just wanted an outlet for 10 minutes and then at the same time my children are right next to me and I'm talking to them about other things. Like it just, it just doesn't make sense, man. Like it just, it'd be ridiculous. You can pick up on that, you can sense that. So if you can sense that in me, what do you think your wife and children have a shorter period of time of exposure to? Because you go off, you work, you hunt, you provide, even if you work from home, you folks homework, they've got a shorter window every single day, which means a heightened sense or a heightened sense of either or a concentrated dose of is he present or not? What is the energy I'm getting if it's, if it's just fluff, non existent, blase. Well, they're going to detach A personal invest when they see value, they keep investing when they feel valued. If we're talking about your family, you've gone beyond the point of see value, right? Feeling value is a relationship. So a person invests when they see value. So you might listen to this podcast, you might join HPF one day you've seen value. But for us to establish a solid relationship over a period or course of time, there must be a reciprocity of you feeling valued as well, not just seeing value. So gentlemen, wherever you are, be there. Be there. Like if you have worries with work or with your family or wife and kids, if you've got issues you need to address, it's not fair to spend it on that time. Get your shit together with your calendar and prioritize time. Hey, you know, one hour a day, 30 minutes a day, 10 minutes a day, do a rocket blaster, 10 minutes a day between 11, 15, 12. Whether it's worry or not, I'm going to plan this time and I'm going to fucking think about all the shit I need to think about and put that time and energy into that. Now I wouldn't advise that. I wouldn't do such a concentrated dose with things like pity parties, of course, run them short lived, move on. What can I do? Be proactive, be solution driven, not problem focused. But when it comes to addressing things that are on your mind, that are taking you away from the circle you need to engage in, wherever you are, be there. It serves you best to just allocate some time if it's really that important. Otherwise it's just A poor behavior. It's just a poor pattern that you've built up. That's all it is. It's a poor habit. So it's not really that important. It's just a poor habit you've built. You got to break that down. And sometimes you got to do a cold turkey, that's it, line in the sand. Other times, like, no, this is a serious thing. Why with my family, am I thinking about this problem with work? Why, when am I at the gym? Am I thinking about this problem with work? Or why, when am I at the gym or why am I working? I'm thinking about this problem at home, why am I at the gym? And I'm thinking about this problem at home. Like, whatever circle is either irritating or creating friction or trying to break its way through those walls into the circle you're supposed to be focusing or you've prioritized or planned to be focusing on, you must address that accordingly and say, hey, obviously needs some time and energy. I need to prioritize a block of time so I can spend it solely and purposely on addressing whatever it is that's impeding this circle that I'm on. And then that's it. And then you plan it and you do it. And you don't need, like, you don't need to write all this stuff down or email yourself or like, I used to do all that. Honestly, you don't, man. Like, you just need to build a stronger level of discipline towards what is the main focus right now. Because wherever you focus, that becomes the building blocks of your belief systems, your reality, your perspective, everything. Wherever you are, be there. Takes me. I wanted to spend a little bit more time because that, that is so important. Because without presence, you won't execute on anything with value. You won't execute on anything with depth. You purely, you. You truly won't. Like, you need to be pure in the space that you're expressing yourself in. So maybe you have a reasonably good business, maybe you have a reasonably good marriage, maybe have a reasonably good relationship with your children. Maybe you have a reasonably good body. What could you have, though, if you spent your time and energy going all in on that circle when you need to, and then prioritizing your life accordingly. This is why the number one thing with our diamond of development is structure. That's collating and organizing everything that matters inside of your life, which means you say no to everything else. Second point, with knowing that there's more, I'm willing to go through the darkness with knowing that there's more I'm willing to go through the darkness. This is quite a deep and prolific statement. It was when I was having a conversation with Mike Hudson, one of the amazing men on the inside and one of our coaches who also. So, you know, just. Just to be clear, men are inquiring. Reach out to HBF. There's no Seek.com salesmen. It's actually the members who've lived the journey themselves who greet these men at the gates, say, hey, this is my story. Where are you at? How can we help you? What does that look like? This is HBF is what we do. If we're aligned and you're not full of shit and you're legitimate and you'll add value to the community. Fantastic. We can add value to you. Fantastic. It's a relationship. Let's go. Mike is one of those. Mike is such a. Such a beautiful soul. And I've got it written here. It was April 8th, 1:07pm because when Mike said it, I don't know if you really realized it, but that is such a powerful thing. And it might come in a few different ways, man. You know, on the other side of the struggle is greatness. And there's a few other sort of maybe cliche sayings, but. But I really like this because the knowing is what matters. A lot of people become too ignorant to life. They really do. They cut themselves short. They set their own glass ceilings, like the fleas. They had that glass ceiling and then they procreate and then they train their fleas, their baby fleas, to only jump a certain height. This is the whole flea circus thing. There's a good story about this. You can look it up and then they remove the glass ceiling, but the fleas still only jump so high. They've only been trained. Just like the elephant that has a little bit of rope attached around his leg with a peg in the ground. I mean, it could rip it out quite easily when it's an adult. Yet here it is. It still believes that it's finds that space and the rope has power over it. Same with this. If you are limiting your belief systems, which is typically bound by the environment you're in, which is limiting your capacity and your mental state, you will always fall short of what's possible inside of your life. So what I love about this saying with Mike is he said with knowing, and he wasn't going through anything bad. We're just talking about pushing the struggle of life, driving towards excellence, rate of improvement. I'm really big on that saying. Like, we want to Grow, but what's the rate of improvement? So it's measurable, which means you want to try and get a hockey stick curve. I don't know about you, but I don't have time to waste. I don't have chunks of my life as time to just give away and throw away and put in the bin. I want to maximize and completely exhaust every iota of what life has to offer. That doesn't mean that I'm all in in terms of intensity every day, but I'm all in in terms of my intent and measurement. I'm very measured in my approach of what matters most, and I've got intent with what it is that I'm measuring and applying myself to. So I'm not yahooing and yelling and screaming every day. What I'm saying is I want to live a full, rich life and not have any questions at the end. And the greatest way to expose yourself that is to push for bigger goals, bigger dreams. And the bigger you dream, the more you realize that you don't have time. So Mike said this. It really hit me because I'm like, with knowing there's more, I'm willing to go through the darkness. Because you cannot get what is that you want to attain without going through some level of hardship. And sometimes that hardship brings trauma, brings grief, sometimes it brings a level of plain level of pain that is consistent for a period of time that you haven't forecasted, you haven't been able to measure, you haven't been able to, you know, you've assumed, maybe I'll get through it. And that's the hard part with life. The path you always think that it is is never the path that's actually required for you to take. But then the rewards that you think you'll get are never actually the rewards that you'll get. You will get that and so much more. It's like the wizard of Oz. This green curtain reveals itself like, ah, shit, man. I was doing this to still achieve that. But look at these other three or four prizes that I've gotten. And that's how I truly feel with hpf. Like, it's, it's not, look, world stuff, whether it's mortgage, interest rate, the world falling apart, politics, like, pick, pick your poison, man. There's always something that we can worry or whinge or complain of. And guess what? If you go through the old newspapers or you speak to older people, there's always been something that's going to destroy the planet, destroy the world, destroy society, destroy the man, destroy the woman destroy children. There's a cancer, there's diseases, there's always something, something. What can you focus on? You know, and through having a personal drive that says, you know what, I've just accepted that life is going to be tough, but I've also accepted that it's my responsibility to do something about it. You then acknowledge that in the game of going through the darkness, you can come through the other side and get rewards you never thought possible because you've done what you've never done before. And just to tie all that together, my point is, regardless of how tough and how hard life is, because of what I've engaged with hpf, I've gotten so much more out of this. I can see exactly what will happen in the life of a man and what can happen in my life either way, good or bad. In my 40s, in my 50s, in my 60s, even into my 70s, I've learned so much. I've accelerated the wisdom because of what I've absorbed as a sponge from all the men around me before me who've bought into HPF and what they can be. So I've learned so much from them. But. But in return, I. And we have also invigorated some of these older balls inside of life and what they can do instead of just fucking settling and not doing anything and just accepting life for what it is. So my point is this. I started HPF to create impact and change in my own life and with the lives of others. Because when you are learning, you learn once and you learn it for the first time. And it's got value when you apply it. But when you show that, when you're teaching that, when you're expressing that, when you're sharing that, you don't learn a second time. You don't need to really learn something. What you're doing is reemphasizing the value of what it is that you learned in the first place. So when I talk about family, self, and service for myself, cool. When I journal about it, cool. When I share it on podcasts, cool. When I share it with members, when I share it on stage or doing events or other things. So when I'm doing this multiple times, dozens and dozens, dozens of times, I'm reiterating how valuable that is. That's why it's a law to me. That's so cool. Like, the ROI is massive. Like, you men out there give me so much more than I feel I can give you. And what I give you, man, is your marriage is back and your life back together and you're rejuvenating your heart and your soul to actually have desire and a drive towards pursuing the life that you're actually born to live like. So they're pretty big things. And I'm still saying you give me so much more than that. And thank you. You know, 39 turned 40 to you and I still so blessed where whether I'm in the second half or not, I don't know how long I'll live to have this level of wisdom. So started HPF just wanting to help others and families. Now it's become this massive juggernaut, which I still feel we're only warming up. We're building a huge play heading into 2026, which is going to be massive. And I look at the rewards if HPF didn't exist. The reward that I've gotten peeling that green curtain back of the growth of just what my one perspective was on the other side of this darkness. I'm going to learn something. What am I going to learn? Not quite sure I'm going to be able to provide some financial support for my family. Don't want to be in the gym space anymore. What does that look like? I'm not quite sure. Don't know how much money I'll make. I want to help men. How much we help them? Not quite sure. Now look at my vision board. There's men sharing stories of how they got their fucking family back together and they've had more kids. And other men who are so grateful for the level of growth they've achieved in the life, personal, professional. Other men have made millions of dollars, but also they brought the family along for the ride. Other men who saved their marriages even after they thought it was beyond repair. So I'm looking at this vision board going, wow. So I didn't know the level of how much I would get out of this. But if HPF didn't exist tomorrow, fuck me, man. In family self and service like I'm set. Like in family, self and service now to provide value to the marketplace and in turn have a financial reward which provides a tool for me to live the life that I want with my family and provide for them and protect them. I know the ins and outs of relationships. These are always growing things too. I never stop. But I know the ins and outs of relationships with my wife, the intimacy with a man and a woman, a man with his children, how to lead and how to foster growth and challenge that inside of their family, whether it's his wife and or his children. Now to look after my health and my body now, to engage in relationships, depending from, from a man, a business owner, someone who's an employee, how I can help them, how I can guide them in their own family self. Like the level of skill sets I've developed, the structure of my life, the capacity that I have, the consistency I have, man, like I didn't think I was going to get all this sort of stuff, yet here we are, just living the embodiment of hpf. You must go through the darkness. You don't have to have shit falling apart. You don't have to live in your gym like I did, on a fucking blow up mattress, contemplating your life and knowing how it all fell to shit. You don't have to have multiple operations, trying to pursue sport like I did. You don't have to be an obese boy who wanted to fucking kill himself when he was depressed and suicidal. You don't have to go through the four or five traumatic points that I've gone through in my life. However, if you're going to stretch and push, you must become more than what life may throw at you. Which means you want to be operating at a level that has you in such high capacity that when life throws you these dark spots, these curveball, you can handle it. So it's almost like every day because I'm obsessed, I really am obsessed with growth. But because of the law of family sovereign service, My obsession with hpf doesn't overrule my health. My obsession with hpf doesn't overrun my family. My obsession with being the greatest family man I can doesn't overrule hpf, doesn't overrule my body, and so on, so forth. When you operate from that level and you've got this obsession for life, you really can move through the dark spots. So let's say I'm operating at 60% at the moment. So when life throws me curve balls, like most of my family being fucking bedridden and sick right now. Yeah, okay, the 60% because my capacity of how I'm handling life and I'm not having it easy, I'm just growing at an exponential rate versus what life's throwing at me. That's the key. That's being a four to one man when I'm doing that. And what's happening right now in my household, yeah, maybe I'm pushed to 83%. Cool. All right. Three out of the five people in this household are pretty crook at the moment and Bedford ridden. Okay, cool. What am I going to do? About it. And that's something I shared with one of our members. Like, the reason why I can push and stretch this rubber band out of the middle of family, self and service, and push harder in self, harder in service when I need to, harder in family, is because I've got enough rubber bands. I've got the capacity to handle it. There's a reason why RDM just survived when it shouldn't. I was an international athlete, so I could pump 18 hour days for months on end and didn't affect me at all. I had the capacity. So when you have the capacity because you've pushed through the dark times and you're preempting that they will come, but you keep growing and pushing and pushing and pushing, you will be able to handle them when they come. But I just love that from, you know, big shout out to you, Mike. Like with knowing that there's more, I'm willing to go through the darkness. That's the key, gentlemen. Knowing that there's more and the willingness to push through. I really hope this point hits home with you. God, it's, it's, it's so important. I cannot stress this without this doesn't matter how much ability you have, doesn't matter how big your goals are, how much desire you think that you have. There's got to be the knowing and there's got to be the will. Otherwise you're just blind. Those four core things I've spoken about before, desire, faith, planning, persistence. Yeah, they all matter. But the undercurrent of all of that is the knowing of what's possible because of the environment that you're in. And not only the knowing, but the willingness to move through the darkness. The desire to achieve the goal. No one desires to move through darkness. The desire to achieve the goal, but the willingness to move through the darkness with knowing that there's more, I'm willing to, to go through the darkness. Powerful stuff, Mike. Thank you. Third point. The only reason I invest in myself is to give more to others. This just hit me the other day. It was like a voice in my head. It was crazy because I look at this, I'm like, there's always this battle on, you know, selfish. What is selfish? You know, investing in yourself. You are the prize. One of our men's wives was going, oh, you guys always talk about being the prize. You know, that's, that's not fair. I'm like, no, no, be the prize for your family, be the prize for your wife and kids. How can you be the prize for yourself? You're not fucking Tom Hanks in Castaway on an is like yourself. What good does that do you? You invest in yourself to stay alive, but you're not living that life, are you? You're living in a society, in reality, with a family nucleus as well as other people you engage with. Be at work and, or just the general community. Like, the only reason I invest in myself is to give more to others. Why, with Christmas time, do you like receiving and giving gifts? I'm telling you, man, the greatest gift is the gift of giving. It really is. But if you give at the chronic cost of yourself, you're fucked. And so are they. And you can't keep giving. So I want to give a lot and I want to give for a long period. So get that through. Get, get that through your psyche when you're hesitating or second guessing whether you should do something for yourself, whether you should join HPF or not, whether you should invest in yourself or not. You're your greatest asset, most of your liabilities right now. Why? Because you haven't been investing in the asset. So it's become a liability. You've turned away, the cup is turned upside down. We talk about pouring your cup so you can pour into others. Like, your cup is upside down, mate. So anything you try and pour just spills into family and service right away. You pour nothing in yourself. Think about that as a visual. It's not, no, I don't pour in my cup anymore. It's like, no, you got the three cups, but your one's turned upside down. So as you pour onto it, you're pouring onto it, not into it. It hits the base, spills out over the edges and goes into the other two. What use are you to anyone else? So one, you probably don't pour, and two, your cup's upside down. What use are you to anyone else? You're running on the past capacity that you've built, which will run its course and end. I'm telling you right now, this sounds crazy. Like, I'm in the gym, I'm enjoying looking at my chest as big and strong. My muscles are big and strong. I'm doing well. I'm getting my body in great shape, so on and so forth. Yeah, great. But what comes can I do with that? Not just how much can I bench press or squat? What can I do with this capacity? What can I do with this energy? What can I do? This posturing. I walk in the room, people look at me like, well, this guy's pretty fucking organized. Like, yes, I'm a big dude, but I'm not a big skinny dude. I'm not a big fat dude. I'm a dude who's got his shit together. I've trained for 26 years and that's had ups and downs because of the injuries I've had in the reconstructions and operations, but I've trained for a long time. When you invest in yourself, it's about developing what you can now provide for others that you love and care about. I just can't, like. And it's so weird that I've never said this one liner before. I've never ever. Because we already know. It's like when you come in a hpf, there's no judgment. It's judgment free, like there's no bullshit, no fuckwits. It's a great community. It's phenomenal community. It's a leadership organization. It's unbelievable the level these boys are rising at with respect to the men of the old guard and some of those guys still there. We still have some OGs, but yeah, man, that standard's unbelievable right now and it'll continue to grow. The only reason I invest in myself is to give more to others. That is the absolute truth. Professionally, from service point of view. With my family, the circle of self gets full with capacity and skills so I can pour more into family and service. When you have that and you acknowledge that you are the prize for your family, that's what leadership's about. Give them the very best of you and keep pushing. What that very best is is keep redefining what very best is. Keep raising the bar of what very best is. Greatest gift a man can ever give his family is the very best of himself. 1:37pm Top of Mount Kosciuszko November 4th. Unbelievable, right? That is like. That's, that's my, my. That's my quote of all time. I've got some pretty good ones, but this one's right up there, man. The only reason I invest in myself is to give more to others. I just want you to think about that. Where are you dropping the ball? Because you're not investing yourself, which means what you are giving to others is not the best of you. It's not the most of you and what you can actually give. That's. I'll save that for another hours. Insights. I've got a pretty cool one liner on that, but really, really important. Really, really important to reflect. Where are you not giving your family the best of you? What are you not giving to your other, to others? That you love and care about that you possibly could. The only reason it's not selfish. The only reason I invest in myself, it's selfish not to. What's that? It's being called a margin. Harder. Right. You're sacrificing yourself for others. But once the sacrifice is done, you can't give. You can't give anymore. Like, would you rather sacrifice once for others or would you rather invest in yourself so you can give more to others for a longer period of time? I want to give my family the most for the longest. The most for the longest. The most for the longest. That's what you want? Like, tell me I'm wrong. Like, I'm all ears. Send me an email, Alex. Highperformancefather.com like I'm telling you, man, who, who would not want to give the most for the longest to those they love and care about? Well, you've got to give the best to yourself first. That comes with you developing who you are and investing in yourself. Final, final point. We'll wrap this up. Don't wish for a better wind. Develop the skills to set a better sale. This was, this was. And I don't think it was Jim Rohn's quote, but I heard this on the audiobook and he sort of, he, he, he said, I think he, I think he changed the wording a little bit. I think he said, I don't wish for a better wind. Hope or pray or wish for better sail. Something like that. But. So it was good. But I'm against wish. Like wishful thinking is almost like this is something I can't attain, but I'd love it if it could just land in my lap. That's sort of like if you look at the definition of wish or wishful. Yes, I'm very cautious around that. So I just wanted to tweak it a little bit. Don't wish for a better wind. Right. That ties your hands up. It's a victim mentality. It's, it's you. You're hopeless, useless, useless. No responsibility, no power, no control, nothing. Like, who would want to live that way? Not me. Don't wish for a better wind. Develop. Does that mean develop is an action based word? Develop. So you're doing something, you are increasing something, you are improving something. Develop the skills to set a better sale. This sort of ties the whole owl's insights together for this. Like wherever you are, be there. Presence is key. Otherwise you're never going to be able to give the best that you can with knowing that there's more and willing to go through the darkness. You cannot look for a fairy tale alone life. It doesn't exist. And why would you want one? Because if you had a fairy tale life from the get go, how do you know what you're truly capable of? How do you know what you can really do if you've never been stress tested? I never felt the pressure, man. I've so. Fuck. I've got some stories, I'll roll them all out one day. But shit, man, I felt some pressure, that's for sure. The only reason I invest in myself is to give more to others. But that's why this last point's so important. Three and four tie together. Don't wish for a better win. Develop the skills to set a better sale. That's putting the power back in your hands. That's putting you back in the driver's side seat. It really is. Don't wish for a better win. Would it be nice if my whole family wasn't sick and they're healthy right now? Yeah, of course it would. Is that something that I can control? I can control how I support and nurture them and try and get them back to good health. I could control them by putting them in a little corner, giving me a little blanket, three square meals a day and say, hey, never go out in public and you'll ever catch the flu. Is that. What a way to live? What a horrible way to live. That's not what life's about. Of course there's risks. Life itself is the risk risk, but, but the essence of life is growth, development, becoming as much as you can. You know, you look at anything, anything natural. We're the only ones that stop halfway. And that, that's, that's a bit of an overstatement sometimes, you know, we stop well short of halfway. A lot of the times you look at a tree, how high will a tree. A tree will grow as much as it can. Depending on the conditions, it will grow to full potential. It will grow as much as it can can. Yet here we are sitting back, not looking to set a better sail, but just hoping the wind might change. Keep licking the finger, putting it up. Lick the finger, put it up. Lick the finger, put it up. No, nothing's changed. Cool. How's that going for you? How's the tongue and the finger? Has anything changed? No, but the one thing that has is time. A non renewable resource. So as we wrap this up, man, I hope this Al's insight served you well. Wherever you are, be there with knowing that there's More. More. I'm willing to go through the darkness because dark times will come. The gradient or the heaviness or depth of that darkness, I don't know. You don't know. But what you can do is you can fabricate challenge. Like what I'm building with hpf, like what I do in the gym, like what I do with my family. You know, I'm not looking for happy families all the time. I challenge and push my family, my wife and my children to grow, to become more. And then I'm also the puppy dog sometimes. And we have rest, recuperation, a different type of connection. And the same with family, self and service. Same with all of them. So you don't need to fabricate trauma in your life or fabricate darkness, but you can fabricate and engineer a level of challenge within some level of stability that allows you to push and stretch and grow. But know that when life comes with those curveballs, because you've developed those muscles in life, you'll be able to handle it. Because there will be dark times. The question is, are you willing to move through them? There is more on the other side, but do you know that there is? With knowing that there's more, I'm willing to go through the darkness. The only reason I invest in myself is to give more to others. That's massive. That's huge. Huge, man. Like, that's. I love that one. That's. It's one of my favorites. It really is. Because it's true. The only reason I invest in myself is to give more to myself. How? Well, that doesn't even make sense. More to yourself with what money? Well, there needs to be exchange of value, more with yourself. What love? We can't fuck yourself, you know, Excuse the French, but you're looking for a relationship with. With a woman to have a deep, meaningful level of intimacy with your children. I can't become like. I can't shrink down and become a child. Like invest. The only reason I invest in myself is to give more to myself. That doesn't even make sense. The only reason I invest in myself is to give more to others more and longer. And don't wish for a better win. Develop the skills to set a better sale. You do that and I promise you, men, you apply action will change with those four key points in mind. You'll be more present. You'll develop a greater capacity for life, a greater skill set. You won't be a victim. You have pity parties. They're short lived. You'll set a better sale. You'll develop the skills, you'll understand the value of investing yourself and you know that there is more on the other side and you are willing to move through those dark times and you put all those four together. What a Q2 that you can have. Or whenever you're listening to this, but at the time of this 16th of April ripping into Q2, what a time to be alive. How fast does it go? Thank you, man. Take care. Have an amazing day. I'll see you on the next one. Cheers. Well, that wraps up another episode. And just as we wind this down, I want you to just reflect and think back through some of the golden nuggets, some of the revelations, some of the sore points, some of the things that might have hit home with you. And then just look at ways that you can apply a different set of actions to change your position, change your circumstances, change your feelings feelings, and change the facts. These episodes are done with your best interest at heart and there's always something we can get from that. Maybe it's not the first time, maybe it's the second time. We've had members listen to episodes four or five times and then it finally clicks. But either way, I hope you got a lot of value out of this. And also, if this is something that you really want to solidify inside of your life, repetition is the key. You've listened to it. Write down your revelations, think about them, read them, speak them, believe in the changes that you will carve out in the action plan of those revelations to create change in your life and then share that. And when you teach, you learn the second time, right? So teaching and showing this to others you love and care about is the greatest way that you can remember and make sure you consistently learn and relearn what is it's true and what is it is important to you in your heart. Take care, have an amazing day, night, weekday weekend, and I'll see you for another one soon. Cheers.
