Here's Number two My parents sent me to an academically driven high school known for being the best in the country. I was terrified of failing, so I studied hard. The first semester, I placed in the top five students, improving my confidence. Number eight I was born in France but also grew up in the US and Portugal. To this day, I'm not sure where to call home. To me, it's a sense of belonging that I can feel anywhere. On that note, I also spent two years in Canada. After my second year of college, I taught English and supported counseling services for immigrants from various backgrounds. Number 10 I visited a total of 23 countries in my lifetime. The diversity of experiences that comes from seeing different countries and cultures is the best education around. 11. I have a tradition of reading the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho every year. It is a deceptively simple story with a hidden meaning. 12. My favorite movie is Good Will Hunting. Robin Williams character taught me that one's past, another's opinion should not determine what one pursues in life, but rather the determination and vision they have for themselves.
