Five Questions to Ask Your MBA Interviewer

One speaker shares five questions to ask your MBA interviewer to stand out and improve your chances of admission. The advice covers how to engage thoughtfully with students, alumni, and admissions committee members during interviews.
One of the most important parts of any MBA interview is when they ask you, do you have any questions for me? But a lot of applicants miss out on this opportunity to shine. If you're interviewing with a student or alum, asking questions about their experience works great. Here. You might want to explore questions like if you could change one thing about your MBA experience, what would it be? Or how much have you used the alumni network since graduating? Or how many clubs did you join? And how did you balance extracurriculars, academics, and recruiting? I would avoid highly personal questions, though, when speaking with the admissions committee. It's great to dive into the program or community itself. Here, I suggest questions like diversity and inclusion is very important to me. Beyond recruiting a diverse pool of students and student clubs, how does the school foster diversity within the community and among alumni? You can also ask questions like how exactly does the school facilitate networking opportunities with industry professionals and within the community at large? No matter what, make sure that the questions that you ask are relevant to your profile and that the answers can't be easily found online. By asking thoughtful questions at the end of your interview, you'll impress your interviewer and move one step step closer to a spot at your dream school. For more MBA application tips, follow me.
