How to write the third Michigan Ross MBA essay. The speaker explains how to articulate short-term career goals and connect them to specific resources at Ross, with detailed guidance for applicants.
So Ross's essay three is all about your goals. And one thing I love about Ross is that they have a really streamlined application and they're super transparent. So when they say here that they want to know what your short term career goal is, they want your short term career goal. You don't need to spell out the whole picture, including long term goals, unless that's essential context for your short term goals. When you do mention your goals though, be thorough and specific. Mention job titles, industries, impact that you want to make, and ideally, a little bit of context at the start that shows why this goal is a goal that you're suited to pursue. So for example, if you're going to pursue a goal in healthcare, maybe give me a little bit of background about a project that you worked on with healthcare or a personal experience with healthcare so that I see you're the person to get this done. Then they also ask you how Ross will help you achieve it. You've only got 200 words here, so you don't have time to write tons of things about Ross. Choose a few things that you're not mentioning in essay one and talk about how specifically those Ross offerings will help you reach your goals. For more essay tips, follow me.
