MIT Sloan Essay Tips

A video and a cover letter. What is MIT even thinking? Hi, I'm Ellen, the MBA coach, and I share all the best kept secrets you need to get into top programs like mit. First, at mit, you're not actually going to submit an essay. You're going to submit a cover letter, which means that the normal structure that you're going to take for your other essays isn't going to cut it here. Make sure that you adapt accordingly. Second, MIT requires a video. I know this can seem super daunting. A lot of people hate it. But the good news is it's only a minute. It's only a single take, and you can record it in advance so you can do it as many times as you want. Though a lot of people don't like it, I think this is a great chance to show what makes you unique. And that's it. With such limited space, you have to be really careful to choose the right stories and show that you align with MIT's values. More than 30,000 people a month read my blog, so check out the caption for tips that will actually get you into mit.
