In this series, I'm teaching you how to take credit for your success. You've got to track your achievements every time you complete a great project at work, deliver exceptional results or feel like you've been a great partner, parent or friend. Make a note of it. For example, if you recently gave a great presentation that you were praised for at work, write down the date of the presentation, who gave you the praise, and the details of what you were praised for. I also keep the presentation in the same place so it's easy to find later. I also love to keep a running feel Good folder on my Google Drive. I like to screenshot messages for family members, friends, co workers, or even clients that make me feel especially confident, valued or loved so that I can go back and look at them whenever I want. By doing these things, next time you're up for a promotion, want to negotiate a higher bonus or just need an extra boost on the days that you're not feeling so great? You've got an evidence based track record of excellence that you can use to your advantage. So keep track of your achievements, claim your success and go out there and take up the space that you deserve.
