If you choose bad stories, you're not going to get into a top mba. If you want to make sure this isn't you, there are three types of stories you need to make sure you have ready Number one A Goals Related Career Achievement the majority of schools want to hear about your post MBA goals, but showing that you have the track record to back up these goals is just as important as having clear goals themselves. So for example, if you want to pursue ESG investing, show an ESG deal that you've already worked on. Providing this context is absolutely essential to showing the admissions committee that you're going to be successful in the path that you've laid out. Number two A Leadership Story Leadership is one of the key values at all elite business schools. It's also one of the most important traits that the schools are looking for in candidates. Google it. So make sure that you have a complete story that shows your ability to lead either at work or in the community. Either works great. Finally, make sure you have an extracurricular or personal story. These stories show off your ability to contribute to the class and what makes you unique. So prepare a story about how you've contributed to the community or a unique moment that defined your life. Like a challenge that you overcame or an achievement that you're particularly proud of having. A story like this shows great fit and makes sure that you'll have a very memorable profile.
