The content is a solo presentation focused on college application guidance.
Hey, guys. So Yale just released their essay question, and we're gonna break it down. So what Yale is asking here is to understand more about your background, passions, motivations, challenges, and aspirations. They essentially want to see the you behind your CV and the rest of your application. So they give you three different options to choose from, and we're gonna go one by one. The first is describe the biggest commitment you've ever made. This question used to be Yale's only question for years, and it's one that works really, really well for any kind of applicant. It it's broad enough that you can choose either a theme that's defined your life, or you could choose a specific commitment to an organization or something similar. So the first thing that you want to do is think about what kind of stories could I share, what kind of theme could I share that provides a different side of me than what else I'm showing? You also want to think about something you can back up with data. A philosophical discussion here is not going to cut it. Once you've thought about your examples, make sure that you tie them clearly to your theme and showcase exactly why you made this commitment and the results that you achieved along the way. Follow for part two for more analysis.
