Hi guys, welcome back to my channel and if you're new here, hi, my name is Shelley. In this video today I am going to discuss my unfair advantage in sales. I know it's not my sales skill or my years of training or what I say in a sales school, it's actually nothing of the sorts. It is my conviction that I know I can have whatever I want. And I'm going to teach you exactly how you can do the same. Because in this, this industry you truly can have whatever you want while balancing the masculine and the feminine energy. And I'd like to think from my experience within sales and kind of the path that I've carved for myself, it truly is possible. And there are a few traits and a few takeaways. You can really take away an action from this video that can help you achieve the same. Because from my career within this space, I mean I started out having zero experience and within two years I was able to make 30k per month consistently as a sales rep. Month in, month out I was working with guys on the sales team who had plenty more experience than me, but I was beating them top of the leaderboard, then moving through to management scaling one of the biggest tech companies in, in the space with no previous management experience and now have gone on to build my own sales coaching program where I work with nearly a hundred women helping them build their sales skill. And to date I'm one of the only female programs within the industry that has the most documented client results. And there is a reason for it. There's a reason that I've been able to take my career pretty much from 0 to 100 in such, such a short amount of time. So I'm going to tell you how number one is conviction and self belief. And in my opinion this is attributed to so much of my success and confidence in this space. And there's many factors that are involved in this, right. And I am very lucky that I've grown up in a household where I've always been encouraged to try and even if I fail, I try again. But I think in itself conviction of really betting on yourself, really believing in yourself is so, so important. And have I failed? Sure, I failed so many times. But the one thing that I know and that I trust is that I will never lose because I know myself and I never ever quit. And I know what I am prepared to do to succeed. And in order to have the success that you want, it's about becoming really, really clear with what you are prepared to do, prepared to actually implement to See that success and I always knew what the sacrifice I was going to make was. And honestly, you have to take your success personally. And I actually said this in a training call that I had with my girls in the community the other day. You have to take this personally. Your success, your income, your career, whatever it is, it is all on you. No one else can do this for you, no one else can see the success, no one else can build your career but you. And for me, I always thought I'm never gonna fail. Like there is no one, there is nothing that is going to stop me seeing the success that I want and building the life that I want. So that in my opinion, just alone, regardless of any other kind of advice I'm about to give, that conviction, self belief has allowed me to pick myself up and keep on going no matter what. Next is asking for what you want and not taking no for an answer. I have had many no's in my career. Yeah, so many. But I always think if you get a no, you're talking to the wrong person and you have to keep asking until you get what you want. When I got promoted to closer or when I got the management position, I had people in the companies that I was working for think that I wasn't ready, think that it shouldn't have been me. But then I had people who believed in me, who saw my vision, who saw my work ethic and who gave me an opportunity. And if it wasn't for those people, and if it wasn't for me, I asking and putting myself out there and putting myself on the line to possibly face some kind of rejection, I wouldn't have got those yeses. So I urge all of you, you know, if you're in a position where you want more, if you want the promotion, if you want the new career, if you want the higher income, whatever it may be, you have to ask for it. And do not be afraid of the no. The no is character building the no will make you want it more and to push for it more. Next is I've always picked myself up and kept going because you have to want this more than you can breathe. And this is the difference between the 3k a month closer and the 10k a month closer. And then the 10k a month closer to the 20k per month closer. They want it more than they can breathe and they are prepared to go above and beyond to get there. And even though they may have failures, they pick themselves up, they find a solution and they problem solve. As I've said previously and as I've said to the girls all the time in my program, I have had so many failures in this industry and I don't think they often believe me because now of kind of where I've got to and come out the other side, it always looks like that it's just been an easy, smooth journey. But trust me, it has not been. But the thing that I have always done is found a solution to the problem. I have faced rejection and times where I haven't closed deals for one week, two weeks. I have, you know, faced a lot of trials and tribulations, feeling like living in scarcity or, you know, not knowing if I'm going to make the income I need this month or xyz. But the fact is I've always found a solution. I've picked up the phone, I've dialed more leads, I've done more sales training, I've asked questions, I've asked for help, I've asked for what I wanted. And you'll notice that all these points kind of tie into each other because they really do. They are so important for your success especially. Well, in my opinion, anyway, they've been so important for my personal success. So, yeah, it's not caring about what anyone says. It's picking yourself up. It's doing whatever it takes. It's keeping on pushing forward no matter what. And finally it's facing the fear and doing it anyway. Trust me when I say every decision that I have made that has taken my career to the next level has been made when I have felt the fear. I say this day in, day out, every decision that is worth doing is when you feel uncomfortable, when you're in a period of your life where you feel stagnant, where nothing is moving. And the idea of taking a step out of your comfort zone pretty much petrifies you, like paralyzes you with fear. And that is when it's time to do it. There is no perfect moment. And honestly, confident comes when you push yourself and then you look back. In hindsight, there is no point waiting until you've had all the training and all the experience and spoken to this person and done X, Y, Z. It is important to keep on just doing it and keep on pushing forward. So if you feel the fear, know this is your sign. Know it is your time to do it, to do the thing, to buy the program, to do the interview, to do the role play, whatever it is. I have always made the best decisions when I have felt scared. And yeah, I mean, anything worth having is not going to be easy. Anything worth having is always going to make you feel uncomfortable, but that is good. And not uncomfortable in a way where you know it doesn't align with your values and doesn't align with your morals, but uncomfortable where it's pushing you to be that higher version of yourself, to be that next version of yourself. That is when it's time to make a change. Because if you want what you've never had, you must do what you've never done. And that is it, guys. Those are, I guess, my key traits to what I really do embody and what I'm very aware of that I've had from day one. Conviction being the number one thing I get told a lot of the time. I have a lot of conviction in my voice because I truly, truly believe you can have whatever you want in this industry if you have a plan, if you have the right mindset, and you are very, very consistent with it.
