Hi guys, welcome back to my channel. We have a really, really special guest with us today. We are joined by Rachel.
Welcome. Hi everyone.
So Rachel is based in the UK, um, and we've been working together for a couple months now, and she has an absolutely incredible background. She runs a really successful network marketing business in the health and wellness space. She's a mum, um, she's absolutely a powerhouse, and she She's also very, very successful within the high-ticket sales space. And when I started working with Rachel, her main goal was to be able to have a skill to diversify her income, to be able to build long-term wealth and not just rely on one thing. Even though her business is super successful and is running really well, she wanted to be able to achieve more and do it in a quieter way, which we're absolutely going to talk about today. Rachel has absolutely killed it in this space and has been able to achieve $10K months within— what timeline did we say? Was it—
It was 6 weeks.
6 weeks from working together.
Well, 6 weeks of landing my first role. Um, I joined in November. There was a bit of a pause just due to personal reasons. Came back in the new year and just decided, right, I'm gonna really dive into landing an offer. And on, I think it was the 9th of January, had the interview call and then started on the 12th, kind of I'd been in a bit of a phase of training, but seriously started taking calls from the 19th of January. And then 6 weeks from there, you know, collected $100,000 in cash collected.
Insane. So, it just shows what happens when you can, when you really do just put your mind to something. And I think this case study will resonate with so many women who may feel like it's a bit too late to learn a new skill, or the stigma around putting yourself out your comfort zone or trying something new, or maybe people around you may, judge or, you know, have things to say about it. I think that this case study will absolutely squash those limiting beliefs, um, and show you what's really possible when you just take that bet on yourself, you apply the transferable skills that have made you successful in previous things, and just pivot into something slightly different. So yeah, super excited to have you here, Rachel, and I'd love to just dive straight in and just for you to give us a bit of a background on, I guess, what you were doing before sales and you're still currently doing now, and what made you kind of want to pivot into this space.
Yeah, so interestingly, like, I'd heard of high-ticket sales before because I'd read sales books from people like Alex Hormozi, and like, but I didn't know what it was. So when I came across actually a friends of mine who's also in the network marketing business that I'm in and saw that this is what she was doing, I was definitely curious. I have always been someone that's been a huge, I guess, advocate of multiple streams of income. Started my first business in network marketing at 21. That was my pathway to leave 9 to 5, and for 9 years that was my sole and only income. And at the time I was raising babies, my kids were very young, and it enabled me to be at home with them, and that was great. And honestly, in my 20s, I would describe that I was living what was my version of the dream. You know, I'd scaled the business to the point where it was paying me consistent 10K months, and yeah, very much living the dream. But I think 30s is like a pivotal kind of moment where I realized— I'm 34 now, you know, I'm— I'll be 35 this year. I'm 5 years off 40. And what I will say is like I started reflecting on the goals that I had, you know, financially what I wanted to achieve. And now that I'm in a position where my kids are older, I also share my time with them half-time with their dad. I started looking at other ways that I could generate, you know, more money. Now I retrained as a coach and invested a significant amount of money into that journey. However, what I will say, what led me to this is within that business, that's also relying on me building a personal brand, showing up online, you know, doing the marketing, the lead generation, doing the sales. Closing the sales, and then actually fulfilling the actual, I guess, client within a program and a coaching experience. What I was attracted to when I really looked into this and did a bit of research was the fact that I could work in what I believed was my zone of genius, which was conversations and sales, and then actually just do the sale and then completely hand the client over to the offer owner and do nothing else. So for me, it looked like a very, a lucrative way to create extra money, and that wasn't going to require me to build out websites, funnels, and all the other things I had to do within my coaching business.
Yeah, 100%. And I know we touched upon earlier, and actually the other day when we, when we met in person as well, um, about quietly building wealth and quietly building income. And I, from what I gather, this is the first, um, income stream, if you will, or the first venture you've gone down where you don't have to share about all your life online and every man and their dog doesn't have to know what you're up to. Like, you can literally stay in the house, half of your pajamas on, you know, a nice cardigan on top and just make money. Like, tell us a bit more about that because I think a lot of women would be really interested to know that they don't have to create Instagram Reels online to actually make this type of money.
Yeah, I think with both my other businesses, network marketing and coaching, it's involved me showing up online and building a personal brand, and also an element of, I guess, selling to my existing network. What was attractive about this is unless I told somebody, nobody else had to know, and I could quietly build this alongside, you know, everything else I'm doing in the evenings when my kids go to bed, when they're at school, and actually generate like really good money. And I always say like, yes, it's hard work in terms of you have to be willing to put the reps in and do the work and also bring a different type of mindset. Like, I think for me, I'd already come into this with that entrepreneurial mindset where I wasn't going to track hours. I was there to basically track results, and I was willing to learn, get better, be coachable to get that result, and also invest in both my time and money and a mentor in order to show me the way. But I think it's just very attractive for me because, yeah, I can literally do it around my other business, around my kids. I'm not gonna sit here and lie and say it isn't hard work. Like, you have to show up and do the work, but I don't have to post online, I don't have to tell anybody, and I can just quietly, you know, work away.
Yeah, 100%. And I know you came into this program through a referral, which I always think is such a compliment to myself. That women who have achieved results want to then bring other women that they know into this. So, you didn't actually directly find me, know about me or anything. You kind of trusted blindly of a friend that you knew. So, how did you feel coming in and investing into the program?
Yeah, so I'd said to you before, like, I have invested a lot in my own personal professional growth over the last 10 years. So I was never afraid of investing. For me, it was more about if I'm going to spend this money, this needs to give me the direct ROI in terms of what I'm looking for financially. But also, if I'm going to invest time into this, it needs to matter. You know, time for me is precious because I am busy. You know, I've, I, I've got a lot that I juggle. So the biggest thing was, you know, speaking to— actually, what was funny, like There's quite a few women in my existing business and network that I didn't realize were also looking into this until I actually had the call. And I think just women that I trust and respect, you know, that was huge. That gave me the confidence to know that, because I'll be honest, in the past I've invested in stuff that hasn't been the right fit.
Yeah.
So, I definitely came in with not so much skepticism. And I know we joke about this now, like, I was very much looking at— I've always been a buyer that like I buy quite spontaneously, and I really wanted to make sure, right, Rachel, if you're going to spend this money, is this going to get you from where you are now ultimately to where you want to be? And I do think everything from the research that I did through the YouTube case studies, speaking to women that I trusted who were already in the program, and just the whole experience, the sales experience with, you know, Kiera, one of your sales girls, that like it gave me the confidence to be like, right, let's just go for this. And I knew that as soon as I paid, like, I was all in.
100%. I love that. And I think it is important, right, to like— well, not everyone comes in knowing others who have been in the program, but I think it, it gives you that confidence boost, doesn't it? Especially if you've invested a lot in different programs. There are the good, the bad, and the ugly in this industry, so you do have to make sure that it aligns with you. I guess on that note, I'd love to know, how do you feel our partnership, you know, together inside the Female Sales Accelerator has supported you on this journey?
Yeah, it's been huge for me. I honestly think if you're gonna get into this industry and you're serious about making money, you need to invest in a mentor and a coach, because I know other women that since finding out that I'm doing this have tried to do it on their own and Not that they've failed miserably, but it's a lot harder. Everything from the interview prep to actually having like the offer board where there's vetted offers. I think the methodology— like, I thought, obviously I've done sales for a long time, but actually working with you and being trained on your methodology, you know, having you review my calls, give me feedback, like, it has been— I've invested in a lot of sales training over the years, But genuinely, I'm not just saying this, and I was saying this to my friend yesterday who's a coach. Like, it's been one of the best, if not the best, sales training I've invested in because it's actually simple, but it drives results when it comes to sales conversations. And I realized that I actually probably didn't really— even though I've been in sales and been very successful, like, I didn't have frameworks or just the methodology that you've taught me. I can see how not only how it's it helped me to create the results that I've had in high-ticket sales, but already even in my network marketing business, like how it's shifting the way I show up and have conversations there. So investing in a coach and a mentor for me is just, personally, I think it's a non-negotiable if you want to do this well. I always say what mentorship does is it closes the gap. Like you can, yes, go and figure this out on your own, go on the internet, watch YouTube, But let's be honest, like, there's a lot of noise, and I don't think we're living in what I would describe as the information or education gap because there's information everywhere. What I believe the gap is, is implementation. And what I have really enjoyed over these last few months is the support and the learning from, you know, your modules, but actually the support and how do you actually then implement this into, you know, actually landing a role and making money within this industry.
Yeah, 100%. And I really appreciate that. And obviously, like you mentioned, you've invested in lots of different programs over the years for different things. So is there anything, I guess, you received within this program that you didn't expect?
I think that the price that you've priced this at, Shelley, is insane value for the amount of support that you give the women. You know, I've been in a lot of coaching programs that are not— they're not as high touch. You know, I've paid programs for the price that I paid for yours where it's very self-led and you go through it, and that's great. But I think for what you offer, the value is exceptional. And what I invested back in November, didn't actually fully dive into the program until really December, and then January, obviously landed a role. I've been able to since then, I think almost, what, 4 or 5x that initial investment in terms of ROI. But I also know that I've now got this high-value income skill. And yes, I had skills before in sales, but I just know that this has given me a real platform to build from. So I would say what I was surprised about was the— how much support we get in the program, from everything from learning, like, even all the jargon around high-ticket sales, you know, all the language that was brand new to me. the methodology, the skills, but then the support from when you land a role. Like, I think that's sometimes where the learning curve is even bigger, when you're actually in a role, you know, coming on the sales trainings, doing the role plays with the other women, and getting that feedback from you. So yeah, it's been invaluable. And I think the thing that I wasn't looking for that I've been most surprised about is community.
Yeah.
I'm very fortunate in my other business within network marketing, like, I have met some of my best friends through that industry, and I've got amazing community there. So I wasn't looking for it.
Wow.
But what's been so nice is I've been able to build such beautiful relationships with other like-minded women. And I was saying to you at the start of this call, like, I didn't realize that I'd started to lower my standards in my career. Like, I've been very successful over the last 13 years, but somewhere along the way, I probably got into what I would describe as my comfort zone and lowered the bar. I think living in the UK, like, we're not really taught to be abundant, especially as women, and actually to normalize talking about making a lot of money as a woman. And I didn't realize that I'd started to cultivate a little bit of shame around wanting to make more money because life is good, you know. I'm, I'm 34, I'm living in a beautiful, you know, home, what I would have envisioned in my 20s. Like, I'm living what my 20-year-old self would have thought would have been the dream. But then I realized And honestly, this journey has given me permission again to just dream bigger, that there's so much more that I want to achieve and do. And essentially, like, money is the vehicle to choice. And yeah, I'm just, I'm excited now. Like, I've got big money goals this year, and I just feel this has given me the confidence alongside my other business to be like, we're gonna absolutely exceed that and more.
Yeah, 100%. And there's going to be women watching you who are also in their 30s. They have family, maybe they have a career that they've done for the last 10 years, and they would be petrified to look at diversifying, or some would be pivoting into something else. And there's all these limitations and people's opinions. So, I guess I'd love to know your perspective and maybe also some advice. Like, first of all, how do you balance it all? Like, like we said, you're also a mum.
Yeah.
So, how has sales allowed you to balance everything? And then also, what would be your advice if they want to do it, but there's a lot of limiting beliefs around that? Because I agree, the UK does not, the culture and whatnot does not push you to want more. You should almost put up and shut up and be happy with what you have.
Yeah. So, how I balance things, if anything, it's been good because it's made me become a lot more strategic and regimented. And actually, um, that's poured into how I show up in my other business because, you know, it's easy, I think, as an entrepreneur sometimes when you've built something, you've had success, to almost get complacent. And now I've just embodied more of a standard of excellence when it comes to my life operating system and my business operating system. Like, I've had to become way more organized And I've done prep meals for a long time, but I've become like way more efficient where I order my food from a prep meal company. So I'm a believer, like, if you're a woman right now and you want to make more money this year, like, what can you outsource? Like, the cost and time it takes you to make meals, food, cleaning, ironing— like, I outsource all of that. Like, I never want to iron another shirt ever again. Um, so for me, the money that I make from my business and high-ticket sales, I can afford And even if you can't, like, it's that, what are you willing to invest in in order to get you from where you are now to where you want to be? So in terms of how I fit it in, it's just discipline around my schedule. I used to consume a lot on social media prior to this. If I'm honest, I probably get stuck in that doom scroll habit. I have barely consumed on social media.
Wow.
I have also barely posted on social media, and I had this fear that it was really gonna be detrimental to my other business where I use socials. But what's been interesting is the evidence has shown me that it hasn't been and that it's okay. So it's been quite nice because I actually realized, like, if I didn't have my other business, I probably wouldn't be on social media at all.
Yeah.
Um, so yeah, more disciplined around my time, way more organized. And also just, like, I realized I was quite a people pleaser. And if a friend or somebody was like, do you want to meet for a walk? Do you want to meet for coffee? Go for lunch? Even if I didn't want to, I was the yes woman. And in this season, I've just been like, I am more focused on the things that matter to me in my own little world just now. You know, my family, my health. They were two things I wasn't willing to trade off. Like, I'm big on— and it wasn't necessarily your journey, Shelley, with this, but for me, I, in order to perform at my best, I like to train and go to the gym. So what I'm really proud of, and I guess I want to share this for any woman that's concerned about that, like, you don't have to sacrifice sacrifice the things that matter. But you do have to look at what are you willing to trade off. For me, it has been less socializing, and I'm okay with that. And I've got my core group of friends. Actually, most of my friends have their own business, and what's been nice, we'll go weeks without seeing each other, sometimes months, and then we'll catch up on a walk and it's fine. So I think the biggest thing is just looking at what is important to you in your life And is what you're doing just now going to move you closer towards or further away from the woman that you want to be and the lifestyle that you want to live? And if there's a gap right now, like for me, there was a gap in terms of my goals. This was, in my opinion, the best way to fill that gap in a space of time that it was going to deliver like results.
For sure. And I'm really glad you've touched on that because Sometimes watching these case studies, like we've spoken to women from all different backgrounds, ages, journeys, and they'll have different experiences, one different from the next. And sometimes other women will watch these and take them very literally. So let's say Karuna, for example, she decided to keep her job as an optometrist and then work in the middle of the night to give herself financial freedom, which which basically meant she was working nonstop for an intense period of time, which meant all health went out the window. For me, like we said, I decided to give up the gym. Now, could I have balanced it? Sure. But I obviously didn't think that was a priority to me. Each, everyone has their, their own journey and their own priorities. And you just have to, like you said, it's what are you prepared to sacrifice? For you, you didn't mind sacrificing time with friends. For you to be more present, maybe in the gym, health and wellness, and in your business. It is all relevant, isn't it? And I think that is the beauty of sales. You can push as more as, like, as hard or as little as you want to get the results you want based on what you're prepared to sacrifice or how you want your schedule to be, or around the picking your kids up from school. Did you expect that?
I was nervous about that, Shelley, and I know we had those conversations because I know at the time there wasn't many women in your program that were mothers, so there was hesitancy And I remember speaking to you through voice notes being like, but can I do it? And for me, what I was also really, what I loved about you was just your honesty. Like there was no fluff, it was just, you were very honest about what the journey would look like. So I have been surprised, like I've been surprised in a good way where, so my typical working day when it comes to high-ticket sales balancing my other business and kids are on the, I do share my time with my kids. So there is a week where they go to their dad's and that's the week where I can unapologetically energetically just go hard if I want to.
Yeah.
Because I'm on a US offer, typically I'll start taking calls the earliest around 11, mostly 12 PM in the, in the day. And if I've got my kids that day, I'll do 12 till 3, so I'll be able to do 3 sales calls, and then I'll close my diary. And then I'll, depending on our schedule, I'll maybe come home, make them dinner, and then I'll take a call maybe from 6 or 7, and then put the kids to bed. And then from 9, sometimes through till 11, midnight, The latest I've taken a call is 1 AM. I'm actually, again, a bit of a unicorn in the sense, I know some women are like, we're up till like 2 in the morning. But typically for me, apart from on a Monday or Tuesday, I will close my diary 11, 10 at night. But what I will do is in the time that I have got, I show up and I go hard in those hours.
Yeah.
So, I'm just willing to go the extra mile in a way that fits into my life. And what I will say is when I first landed my offer, I went the extra mile because I wanted to show that I was willing to work. And then what happens is once you've got the results, I say then you have the authority and the power. And I do like to travel, so I've traveled quite a lot these past couple of weeks, and I've just said to, you know, the offer owner, the setters, the sales manager, diary's closed on these days. Um, but yeah, like I was at your event on Saturday and I happened to have a call and I did it from the restaurant in a little corner, and in 45 minutes, you know, closed the call and earned $350 in 45 minutes. So I'm just willing, like, I'm willing to go the extra mile in a way that, yes, works for me. Is it always convenient? No. Has there been times where I've sacrificed a bit of sleep? Yes. But ultimately, what it's given me has been so much richer than the things I've had to trade off.
100%. And I'd love for you to talk about how life has changed for you, because I remember you sent me that lovely message a couple of weeks ago about taking your family on holiday, being able to pay off certain things that you needed to pay off. So what has this been like for you over the past few months? And yeah, I'd love you to share that.
Yeah, it's been amazing. So one of my goals coming in was I wanted— like, my word for this year was financial overflow, and to have money in overflow to ultimately do the things that I want to do. What I will say is I am quite a big spender, and also my partner is kind of teaching me to be better with budgeting, putting money aside, investing. And that's one of my goals this year, over the last sort of 2 months, the things that my high-ticket sales income has enabled me to do. So, I went to a— I booked a last-minute trip to Mallorca for me, my mum, and my 2 kids. I was able to, you know, just last minute pay for that, all the flights, the accommodation, the food, go out for dinner and order down the left side of the menu, not the right. So, look at the food first, not the prices.
Wow.
I've paid off some debts that I had. I also have invested with a coach for my other business specifically. And, you know, that was $5,000. And instead of thinking, okay, can the business afford this right now? What other bills do I have? You know, I'm a family of 5. Me and my partner have got 3 kids together, so our living expenses are a lot. And for me, it's just given me that ultimate choice again to do what I want when I want and not have to think, okay, can my other business income afford that? And just invest in the things that I want to invest in. So So yeah, it's been amazing. I'm so grateful. And I think just being able to do more things with the kids and have that extra choice. And, you know, now I'm starting to think, okay, we've done a lot of spending. Okay, let's look at next. Like, I want a certain amount in my bank by, you know, the end of this year. And then it's also looking at investments, you know, commercial property, something that my partner and I invest in. And it's genuinely looking at that goal for like, you know, I'm 35 this year, for the next, you know, 10 years, how can we really be intentional and build wealth for the future?
Yeah, 100%. And it's so powerful. I think just hearing everything you have to say and share, I think so many women will resonate with this. But again, touching back on what I said earlier, like so many people, it's not necessarily just women in the UK, but women specifically would think, Well, is it too late? Maybe I'm in my job now, I've done this, I've got my family, I've got my mortgage. So, for you to talk about building long-term wealth into your 40s and investing, like, did you ever see that for yourself? Did you ever have doubts in yourself maybe a couple of years ago if that was possible or?
Yeah, I'll be really honest. Like, in my 20s, my first business grew like that. We had like 8 years of exponential growth year on year. And then, You know, things shifted in my personal life and I had to take a bit of a step back of being in like what I would describe as the build mode. And my income in my 30s dipped, and that was quite a hard pill to swallow. And I didn't realize how much it also affected my confidence because I had been so used to such growth. I didn't realize I'd attached my worth to— and I say this to the other closer in my offer— never attach your worth to the money because Like, you just can. Like, you are worthy without that sale being closed and that money. So if anything, this has given me that whole lease of confidence again. And I was speaking to 2 other women in your program who are in the same industry as me. Like, everything we touch turns to gold. Like, there's opportunity out there for any woman who's watching this. Like, you're never stuck. And if you're willing to be open-minded, invest in yourself, and also just do the work— like, we're living in a world right now where there's opportunities everywhere. year. And I think for me that showed me that, like, I remember having the conversation with you being like, this cannot be at the detriment of my other business because that's my long term. It's like my baby. It's a business that has grown with me over the last 13 years. If anything, it's opened up this, like, ambition and maybe vision that I didn't realize had become, had become a little bit silenced just through personal life stuff, but that makes me feel emotional. So it's given me just this confidence to be like, oh my God, like, you are limitless. Like, the possibilities here are huge. And I think that's what excites me, like, in terms of where I grow from here with this. Like, I don't know what that looks like. I actually told my mum— she didn't know— when I was in Spain with her, and she was saying to me when I was paying for things, are you sure you can get that? I was like, Mum, it's all good. Like, I've got it. And then I told her about this, and she's like, "That's great." And and I was saying to her, like, just why I'm so excited again because I know that for me, like, like I've just got this belief again. Like everything that I touch, you know, turns to gold because of the mindset of the willingness to do the work and learn. And I think the last thing I'll say is just for me, like my mom was saying to me, like, "What's your plans for this?" And I was like, "Well, for now this year I've got big income goals, but what's great, I love that I." I can pick this up. Like, I can be on an offer for 6 months, earn a lot of money, take a break for 2 months, and then get on another offer and go again. But I just feel I've got this skill that for the rest of my life, if I want to, I can pick it up when I want to have huge injections of essentially money, and that will go towards all the other things that I want to do in my life. 100%.
It's pretty extraordinary, isn't it? There's no industry like this, I don't think. I've never come across maybe Maybe there is somewhere out there, but it is. It's like once you have that skill and you have the connection, you know how to find your offers and you know how to sell. Money's everywhere. Money's all around. It's pretty insane. To finalize then, for women watching this, they would have taken away so much from this. I think this is one of the best case studies we've ever done. But for women watching this, what would be your advice to them?
Maybe.
Women who are looking to have career change, they're in their 30s, they feel like they're completely stuck, trapped, like that just isn't something that would be on the table and on the cards for them. What would be your advice?
Just to be open-minded and know that you're never stuck. There's definitely been seasons in my journey where you can kind of be in a phase where you do feel like you are stuck, but you're never stuck. And actually putting yourself in environments where growth is inevitable. And I feel like the community that you've built, Shelley, like you should be so proud of that because you know on Saturday I was at your first in-person UK event and outside of my business I didn't think I'd find another community that there were like-minded women there and I've found that through it and just the conversations that we were having in the room and it's just it opens you up like environment is everything so right now if you're in a place where you don't feel your environment is conducive to your growth and your goals, then you need to find the rooms where this can help elevate you. And I am just so passionate about investing in yourself. Like, we spend so much money on things that don't give us a direct ROI in terms of holidays, you know, for women, bags, maybe, you know, different things that never give us a return on what we spend. Like, what if you actually chose this year to intentionally invest in you Because nothing bad can happen from that. Like, nothing bad can happen. And what I will say is everybody's journey is different. And that's one thing, like, if anybody comes into this, it's just trusting the process and knowing that you will get to where you want to be if you trust that process. And for me, it's happened really quickly, you know, 6 weeks to $10K, which was incredible. And now I know that the skills that I have gained through your program, your mentorship, the connections that I've made, the friendships that I've built. Like, it's been a springboard for so much growth. So I would just say be open to looking into this industry. If you are not willing to work, then I would say it's maybe not for you. But I also did think— I told myself a story that, like, at times in my journey I've been a bit of a lazy entrepreneur, and this almost unearthed the ambition that had been silenced. So even if you've got that story, it's maybe not true, and maybe you just need the right vehicle the right mentor, and the right environment to pull that ambition out of you.
Light the fire.
Yeah.
100%. I was the same. I was, would always call myself the laziest entrepreneur. Like, I had the business before, I would kind of do bits in here, bits there, just enough to get by. I was the laziest employee known to man. Like, I, trust me, I'll do the bare minimum if I'm working for you. But then when I found sales, it just ignited that fire, and I just wanted to go above and beyond because I saw The direct correlation and, and the effort you put in, the money you get out. So, it's very true. I love that. Well, thank you so much, Rachel. Like, as I said, I truly believe this has been to date one of the best case studies we've filmed with so much value. I know so many women are going to really enjoy this. So, yeah, thank you so much.
Thank you.
