She Makes $50k/Month AUD Selling in Her Feminine Energy

Karima, a former optometrist, now earns $50K monthly as a sales closer using what she calls her feminine energy: empathy and emotional intelligence. She credits mindset work, community support, and consistent prospecting for outperforming experienced male colleagues on her team.

Hi guys, welcome back to my channel. We are joined with a familiar face. Welcome, Karuna.
Hey Shelley, thanks for having me here today.
Of course. So, a lot of you will know Karuna from her previous case study that we did together, where she was celebrating her $10K a month success, which was absolutely insane within itself. And Karuna's case study is actually one of our most watched case studies on YouTube. YouTube, and I know she's inspired so many girls that we have inside the TFSA today to actually take that leap of faith and join. But if you don't know Karuna's story, Karuna went from working in the medical field in a 9-to-5 as an optometrist to now working as a full-time high-ticket sales rep. And we are here today to celebrate her biggest month yet, which is $50K in a single month. And you're probably watching this thinking, no way. And I get it. Like, it is insane to be saying those words. Not only has she been able to generate $50K in commissions in the month of May, she is also top performer out of 11 closers on the sales team who have Far more quote unquote experience than she did, and is one of two girls in the closing team, which is absolutely insane. Karuna really did come into the TFSA and was ready to just work. She landed her role pretty quickly within the program and has just absolutely put her head down ever since and worked super super hard balancing her nine to five at first when she was an appointment setter to now being a full time. Closer. So I am absolutely ecstatic to have her back here today to share a new outlook on her journey since we last spoke. We were actually reflecting just before we started filming that she's been in the TFSA for around a year now, so it's a very full circle moment. Um, so yeah, let's just dive in. Karuna, I would love for you to start us off and Just share a little bit about your background coming into this and what has been your biggest difference going from an optometrist to $10K a month to $50K a month.
Yeah, beautiful. Firstly, thank you, Shelley, again for the opportunity. Um, I think just reflecting on my journey, I know a lot of you guys have probably seen my first case study video that was done about a year ago. So before that, as you know, I was working as an optometrist. a 9-to-5 job for many years. And with that job, I kind of reached a point of stagnancy, and then there was just no room for growth. So I really wanted to have more financial freedom so I could really do, you know, more of the things that I want, like travel, give back to my family, and just have freedom overall. And so when I came into sales, that was basically the, the main reason that I went into this, because the capability of making so much more money, like you know, the freedom and work from home as well. So then that allowed me to take my leap of faith initially, and I just basically put everything into this, and I was ready to just do whatever it takes. And then once I sort of came into Shelley's program, like, you really just guided me, you know, you provided me with like everything that I need. I felt like I just put all my trust in you, and you basically just guided me into my first offer as well. And when I landed my first role, And when I hit my $10K a month, I think that was, you know, a really big milestone for me because if I continued on with my current job that I was doing at the time, it wouldn't have happened for maybe several years after that. So just getting to that point so much quicker and obviously investing in a skill set where it can allow me to do that, I feel like it just, it was a whole different ball game as well. And then going from obviously like the $10K to like $30K+ months, I feel like that was like completely different. Like, the most important thing is obviously mindset and just believing that I can actually do it, because I feel like it took me quite a while to believe that this is something that I can achieve, because obviously everyone has a little bit of fear, like, okay, what if I fail, or what if it doesn't work out? Because no one had done it, you know, on this team, especially like being a girl as well. So I just basically just had to overcome that and tell myself that I'm just going to do whatever I can. Everything, everything that I can do, I'm going to put into this and then just hope for the best. And basically I did that. And then, yeah, here I am, you know, finally surpassing $30K a month. 100%.
And I think that will really resonate with a lot of women watching this, those limiting beliefs and, you know, the fear that gets in the way. So how do you think you were able to overcome that fear that you had to push past, I guess, those limiting beliefs?
Yeah, I think I realized that with sales, if you want to get to the next level, you really have to overcome these limiting beliefs to obviously, you know, better yourself, but also be able to make more sales as well. So I think the best way that I overcame it was when I reached once again the stagnancy of the $10K months, and then I realized that, okay, I'm comfortable and I'm happy with $10K, but now I want more, you know, now I want the next thing, like I want the $20K, the $30K, and then in order for me to have that, I am going to have to do something I've never done before, which includes like stepping up and actually just, you know, trying closing and really just giving it my best. Because when I came onto the team, all of the closers had so much experience, like they had, like you mentioned, years of experience, and I was there just, you know, a few months in, but I really wanted to try it and I was very grateful that um, you know, the owners of the company, they actually gave me that opportunity to try closing. And then I think what happened was a lot of people just really believed in me. And because I came in as a triager and I was hitting the $10K months, they kind of had that hope that I would be able to do that again. And obviously, you know, you believed in me as well the whole entire time. So I felt like if all of these people are believing me, like, why can't I just believe in myself? And I think like that really helped me, just knowing that I was able to go from optometry to sales and hit $10K a month. If I can make such a big transition, what's stopping me from doing this again, just going to a closing role?
Yeah.
So I think I just had to draw the line in the sand and tell myself, if I don't do it now, it's never going to happen. Because we can tell ourselves we'll do it tomorrow, we'll do it another year, but realistically, that day never comes. You have to tell yourself that I'm gonna do this now, um, and I'm just gonna give it my best. So I think I just had to take that first step because realistically, no matter what you do at the start, like, it's going to be uncomfortable, it's going to be scary, and that's normal, right? Because we've never done it before. But once you actually do it, it gets so much easier. And that's what I realized as well, just taking that first step was the hardest.
Spoken like a true closer. Exactly. No, 100%. And I think that is something that surprised me coming into the industry, and possibly yourself as well, how many people truly have your back and believe in you. Like, people think coming into this industry is fully remote, it can be isolating. Like, I've heard women say, like, I love my colleagues, could I— like, would I be lonely? But I think this industry is so full of like-minded people who genuinely want to see everyone succeed. Like, there's a piece of the pie for everyone. that you really do have a fantastic community, whether it's within the TFSA or whether it's within your offer, that are just pushing you and, and wanting more for you. Did that surprise you, do you think, or how, how is that having that like nice community?
Yeah, I think the community is like the most important thing, definitely. Like coming from the TFSA, like, you know, all of the girls I mean, there's a lot of girls in my offer right now, and this is like one of the top offers in the space. And just knowing that you referred all of these girls and they've just come in and they're just doing so, so well. Like, I think having that community, because we're always talking to each other and we're always like, you know, elevating each other as well, I think that has really helped us and me personally as well. Because I was very close to Isabel starting out because we were both doing triaging, and then Katherine came, and now there's Amy and there's so many other girls as well. My personal, like, my triager as well, her name's Ximena. She's absolutely amazing, helps me so, so much. And I think just having that community of the girls from, you know, Shelley's program and also in the team as well really has boosted my confidence and just given me the belief that, you know, I can do it. And then once I'm able to do a few things, then they also feel inspired and we just like all inspire each other. I think it's like Really, really motivating to have that community of girls.
I love that 100%. Very, very true. And I know just before we started filming, you were talking about the things that you've now been able to achieve. I'd love to celebrate that with you. So tell us, like, what have you been able to achieve since going as an optometrist to go into 10K months to go into 50K months?
Yeah, 100%. So when I hit my first 10K a month, I feel like That's when I could finally sort of breathe a little bit. You know, I was able to just do things comfortably and just, you know, spend, like, go out, maybe go have nice dinners and things like that. But then I think going from like the $10K to like the $30K plus, that's when things really, really changed for me. And I only hit that like recently as well. Once I hit that, and then when I saw that money coming in, I think it changed everything. Like, genuinely, it allowed me to just move out. So like now I've been able to move out, I've been able to give back to my parents, you know, like the other day, for example, like I just was able to send them like, you know, money and it felt so good just to be able to do that. And it didn't even affect me one bit because obviously now that I'm making a high income, it just, it felt like I'm able to give back to them, obviously, because they've made so many sacrifices for me over the years. And knowing that like me getting into sales and getting into this offer and having the ability to make this, like genuinely, like it has changed my life. And, you know, it's because of you, Shelley, like just giving me this opportunity, trusting me in the first place. It, it really, really helped me. And other than that, I feel like the biggest thing is just not stressing. Like now I feel like I'm never checking price tags. I never have to worry about that. Before I used to budget very, you know, strictly, but now I can be a lot more loose with that as well. And just able to save a lot more and have emergency funds. But most importantly, I feel so much more financially independent. Absolutely don't have to rely on anyone, and I can now support my family and my friends as well whenever I want. So it's really, really freeing, genuinely.
Yeah, I know that feeling so well. It's like almost like peace. That's all I can describe it as is pure peace because I, I know money massively played a part in my past. Like, I was in such scarcity mode as well, like budgeting, like you said, because you've got no choice, you kind of have to, and being really limited by money. And it's crazy, isn't it? Like, they say money doesn't buy happiness, but yes, it does. We're not talking about designer bags, we're talking about like pure peace and control. Like, you wake up and you control the narrative. How does it feel knowing that that's Like, you have full control over everything.
It's honestly, I can't even explain how it feels. It's so, so freeing, and I haven't felt that like in many years. Like, I've never really experienced it until only very recently, and just having that, you know, freeing feeling, um, it's just not explainable. And the fact that I've gotten here within just a year of sales is like You know, almost unbelievable as well, because I genuinely didn't think that I would be able to do it. I had a lot of like self-doubt and I had a lot of fear. I actually used to be a very shy girl, believe it or not. Like, I would be that girl sitting in the back of the classroom, never putting my hand up in the room. And like, going from that to this, it's just, yeah, it's insane. And now having that freedom financially, I've just— I can't remember the last time I checked my bank account, genuinely. So, it's, um, yeah, it's really, really nice to feel this way.
What beliefs do you think you had to let go of? Because obviously that is a big transition. Even when I remember meeting you for the first time, you were nervous, you were very timid, and jumping on now, you're like, you're a woman, you know what I mean? You're very confident and self-assured. So, how did you get here, do you think?
I definitely, I've realized myself that fear of failure was the number one most important thing that really held me back for most of my life, because I have always been a perfectionist. And I always thought that when I do something new, I have to be really, really good. And that's not the case, because every time you try something new, like, you won't be great. But I just knew that I had the work ethic, and I was like willing to do whatever it takes to just make it work. So I definitely had to let go of fear of failure. And I just had to start doing things, whether or not I was the best or not. I just had to do it. And then once I did that the first time, like for example getting into sales and then actually doing, you know, relatively well on my first offer, then I realized, okay, if I can do this, maybe I can do something else, right? So then I went ahead and I invested into like a fitness mentorship as well after that, and then that ended up really well. And then I think just doing it many times just makes you believe that, okay, everything I do, I'm gonna be great at it. Whereas before, before I actually took any leaps of faith, I always felt like I can't do something because I just basically held myself back. But then I realized I was the only one holding myself back. No one was saying you can't do this, you can't do that. It was genuinely just my self-belief, right? And once I did that, I feel like everything had changed. Like, this getting into sales has obviously made me a lot better at sales, but other than that, it's changed everything else about me. Like, Shelley, you can probably tell, like, at the start I was so, like, nervous, so shy, but now I just feel like I'm so much more confident in my day-to-day. Like, everything I do, I'm just, you know, a lot more detached. I don't worry too much about things, even on sales calls as well. Like, one conversation I was having with my sales manager is like, you just need to detach from the outcome. It's like not worrying about, you know, what's going to happen if you do this, just doing the process, you know, doing the calls, and then whatever happens happens, and not letting it affect you. Because I feel like one thing that I had to learn was if you don't make sales, you know, you can have a rough day. Like, I still have days where I make $0, and then another day where I'll make like thousands of dollars. So I always know that if there's going to be bad days, it's always gonna be replaced with a better day next, right?
Yeah.
So every time something happens like that, I don't let it get to me anymore. And that has shown up in other aspects of my life as well, you know, and I feel like it's just improved everything, like it's improved my self-confidence, my relationships, like fitness, health, everything completely. So I feel like that fear of failure, overcoming that has been able to just make me more money but also allowed me to become a lot healthier in general.
100%. I know that feeling so well. I get told that by My friends and family all the time that like Shelley, you just believe you can do anything, and you touched on that too. And I would encourage women watching this to visualize. Imagine if you truly knew in your heart you could do anything, because that's what sales allows you to have. It's not egotistical by any means. It's like no, no, I am capable. Whatever I put my mind to, I know the formula to success. which is hard work, discipline, consistency. That's it. It's pretty crazy. It's like new level unlocked, I think. Yeah.
It's insane.
And a lot of people can achieve $10K months, right? And they can achieve one $10K month, but to actually scale beyond that and have a very consistent and linear journey is a whole nother ballgame. So, why do you think That you were able to do that.
Yeah, I think, yeah, definitely. Like getting to $10K, obviously it's not easy, it takes effort, but going from $10K to like $30K plus, that's like completely different ballgame because I feel like getting to $10K, that requires skill, but over $10K, it's more about, it's going to be about your sales process, it's going to be about your mindset, and then just your energy. as well. That's also another very important thing, because even with the offer that I'm on right now, energy is like the most important thing. I need to make sure that I'm sleeping well, I'm eating well, I'm exercising well, because all of these things impact the sales calls. You know, if I wake up and I'm not feeling good, which, you know, I try not to do, but for example, like if I wake up not feeling great, the calls that I have, that's going to reflect in the calls. And then therefore, you know, people are not going to be willing to actually purchase it as well. So I feel like looking after myself has helped a lot with just maintaining the same frequency, like a high frequency over extended period of time. Also having a really good, like, positive mindset. Like, I just wake up and I tell myself, like, I'm gonna make sales today, or I'm just gonna do the best that I can do and just try to help people. I think one thing for me, um, because when I came into sales, I didn't really like the aspect of, like, trying to push people or trying to sell them something. But for me, it was all about like, how can I help them? So I feel like that's the biggest thing that I've just adopted. And every day I wake up and I do my sales calls, I genuinely feel like I'm helping people. But also I am because we're helping them make literally a transition, you know, from like, it's a career transition offer. So we're literally changing their lives. And I've been able to see that over the time I've been here. So just knowing that what I'm doing it's obviously making money, but at the end of the day, like, it is literally changing people's lives and you can see it firsthand. I think that just motivates me every single day. And then the other thing was as well, like I mentioned, the sales process. It's all about just, you know, maintaining the same frequency and obviously doing extra things like, you know, follow-ups and sort of dials, things like that. That's also going to help, but also making the calendar like very, very efficient. So I feel like A combination of all of those things, like the sales process, the mindset frequency, and then the confidence as well, that really helped me get from the $10K to the $30K. Definitely. I love that.
And I know we mentioned earlier that you are on a team of 11 closers, 9 of them are men, and then you have yourself and Isabel. You are top performer. And like we said, you probably have on paper the least closing experience out of them all. So, I would love for you to share, how do you feel you have the edge? Like, how do you sell confidently without being pushy or masculine? And we know that the men on your team are very skilled and they have fine-tuned their skill, so even they don't probably sound masculine because they can't on this offer. But how have you been able to come in and just Completely annihilate everybody.
Yeah, no, I, I always thought about that as well, because I genuinely didn't expect that I would be like the top, especially with less than a year of experience, like a few months, basically. But I think for me, it's definitely a combination of like believing in myself, but also just really, yeah, just dialing in my process as well. So combination of the mindset, the sales process, like I knew were coming into this that I'm not the best skill-wise. So that actually encouraged me to work like 10 times harder. So like every time there was a no-show, I was just dialing leads. I was just, you know, doing extra calls, like doing everything I could, like in the hours that I had open. I was just never sitting, you know, I was just making sure that I could just make my calendar very efficient, um, just doing everything that I could. And I think I basically overdid it where it got to a point where Like I was able to hit the top closer and I was just doing these things to avoid being like the bottom closer, basically. I told everyone on the team, I was like, my worst nightmare is coming into this and being the bottom closer. So I was like, I'll do whatever it takes. Like I was waking up early, just doing extra things as well. But I think the most important thing was like, I believe that I can do it. And I think if you don't believe that you can do something, you definitely won't be able to do it. But if you tell yourself, okay, this is going to be possible, then you can 100% do it as well. And I think for me, like, getting, you know, to the point where I was a top closer, like, it definitely, like, it wasn't easy. But I think it was more a combination of just like, you know, doing everything that I have learned, but also like communicating with other people on the team. So I feel like I've just built a good relationship with like setters, like closers as well. And then during the sales calls, I think the other thing is like, You mentioned, you know, how to not be super pushy on calls. I think the other thing is that I don't think that I'm pushy on calls. I think the way that I have been doing it is by just being myself, because if you try to be someone else, then it's not going to work well. Like, if I try to be a super pushy person, it just won't end up well. So I kind of lean into my feminine energy, which is like, Shelley, what you teach all of the girls in the community, and that works really well. I genuinely don't feel like I'm being a different person on my sales calls. I literally feel like I'm just being my own person, and I'm just trying to help other people or inspire them to pretty much do a very similar thing to what I've been able to do. And I think when you talk to people from like, you know, a place of care and genuinity, they can genuinely feel that. And like, I have had people message me, you know, after the calls, like, this was, you know, one of the best calls I've had. Like, I had another message the other day. she was— she wrote me a very nice review on our website as well. And just things like that, they just make me feel even more motivated, and it makes me feel like I'm actually doing something really good in this world, you know. Not just like— obviously getting money is a byproduct, but at the end of the day, like, I'm doing something that I enjoy and I'm actually making a difference as well. So that's been really, really big.
Yeah, no, I totally agree. And I think it's the combination of work ethic and feminine energy because you can only work so hard as a person until burnout. There's only so much work that you can put in. So, you have to have an edge because in an industry where everyone works hard, what makes you the top performer? And it truly is selling in your feminine energy. Like you said, showing up to the calls, being nurturing, being more soft and listening and caring and actually actually wanting to support someone. Yes, you want your paycheck, there's no two ways about it, but you actually want to be able to support and listen and care. Do you feel that being a woman on a very masculine offer— like, the offer is nearly all run by men apart from obviously, like, the setting department— do you feel that being a woman on your team has been an advantage?
Yeah, 100%. I feel like just in general, people are so nice to women. Like, every time I need help, whether it's, you know, the setters, closers, everyone is always there, you know, willing to help me out, go the extra mile to, you know, do other things as well. But it's just like, as a woman in sales, like, you really have an edge because even with prospects, like, they just feel so much more comfortable. Like, I remember the other day we were doing a call review of me with all the other guy closers on the team, and then they were all like, oh, like, you know, he's so nice to her just because she's a female. And I was like, yeah, you know, we got to use our competitive advantage, whatever advantage we have, you may as well use it.
Yeah.
At the end of the day, like, I feel like people just feel a lot more comfortable with women, and when we lean into that femininity as well, they just open up a lot more. And, you know, being able to listen and Obviously women have a, a lot higher EQ as well. I think that really helps with sales, definitely.
100%. What has $30K, $40K, $50K months allowed you to experience, do you think, that you never thought was possible?
Yeah, I think to sum it up, it would definitely be like freedom and just peace of mind. in so many different aspects because I feel like now I just never have to rely on anyone. Like, I can just wake up, do whatever I want, like work from home, or I could go to another country tomorrow if I want to do that as well. Um, the only issue is the time zone, but, you know, aside from that, I have full freedom to go wherever I want. Um, and yeah, like, it's just very, very freeing to know that I can spend my money whenever I want. I can just go. I love getting massages, or, you know, I love having a parcel at my door like every week, I'm just, you know, it keeps me motivated as well. But yeah, just really just being able to give back to my family and do things that I could never do before as well. And, you know, being able to buy nice presents and things for my friends and family, like it's just a really freeing experience. But I think the most important thing is I realized that I was in, you know, a lot of stress before when I was working like my previous jobs and, and all of, all of those things as well. Whereas now it's like, it's so freeing. Like, I just don't have to think when I spend. Obviously, like, I still save a lot of it because, you know, the goal isn't to just blow everything. But it's like, now I have a lot more freedom as well, um, with all of that. So I feel genuinely, I just feel so much happier, the best way to put it. Yeah, 100%.
What's something that you think no one tells women about making money?
Yeah, I think something that you don't really think about is, um, I think overall the main thing for me is like, especially in sales, like, I don't want to say it's easy, but like, it's easier than what I thought it would be.
Yeah.
Because coming into this, like, I remember, Shelley, I watched your case studies before I, you know, came into this as well, and I was like, wow, like, she's so amazing. And like, I was so inspired by you, genuinely. And I was like, I just wish that, you know, I can get to that point at some time. But it's just like, like any of you at home watching this right now, genuinely, it could be you. Because I was that person. Like, I was that person on YouTube watching everyone's case studies, and I was just like, wow, like, these people are really living their dream. I didn't think that it could be me. I really didn't think that it could be. And then when I obviously invested in your program and I tried this and I was in the TFSA Like, it just changed my mindset, you know. Also being in a community of such like-minded people, all the girls are so, so driven. Like, it's, it's so rare to find that as well. But I think that made me realize that you can actually make more than, you know, you think you can.
Yeah.
Because I never thought I would be able to make this. But like, that is something that I think a lot of people don't realize because a lot of people get stuck in this rat race of you know, go to college, do a 9 to 5. And like, I've done that as well. I used to be very, very traditional in that sense. Like, I didn't believe in taking risks and things like that. But then I realized that, you know, you do the traditional route, it can get you to a certain point, but if you want to grow from there, you have to do something that people are not doing, right? And that's why, like, people who have businesses— like, you know, not everyone went to college because you don't have to go to college to be super successful. Like, you can do it There are other ways of doing it, but I think a lot of people don't believe it, and it's so easy to feel like things are, you know, scams or too good to be true. But at the end of the day, I realized that if you tell yourself something is too good to be true, you're never going to do it, and then you're never going to actually get to that outcome. Whereas if you just like be a little bit more open-minded and realize, okay, no one around me is doing this, um, you know, clearly it's something very different, But then if you talk to someone or if you hear about someone who's actually in that space and they're actually doing it, that gives you more confidence that, okay, this is actually something achievable. And then if you do it as well, you know, it could really change your life. So I feel like one thing for me as well was like starting to take advice from people who are in the situation that I want to be in.
Yeah.
And I think, Shelley, like, you were one of the most important people to guide me in that direction because I literally did everything that you told me to do. like everything, right? And that really got me to this position. Like, I just trusted everything. Like, I'll be honest, when you put me on the offer, I was very scared, but I was like, I'm just gonna trust her. She knows what she's doing, so let's just see what happens. And then, yeah, like, if I never did that, I would have never gotten here. So just being a lot more open-minded and just trusting that you can actually do it, and then you can be able to make, you know, those $20K, $30K months. It's not as scary as it seems, honestly.
Yeah, I think we're just taught, aren't we, that different is bad. Different is bad. If you're different, well, you're different from everyone else. Or to ask permission. Like, I remember being at school and I really needed to refill my water bottle, but you couldn't because you had to ask permission and you get told no. So you're just like, you're— you have to realize that from the age of 4 years old, even earlier, you are programmed to ask permission and follow the crowd. And that is almost painful to want to break if, if you are someone who is very traditional. So it is having that perspective. And I agree, we're not here to say it's easy. It's hard. It's actually very hard, but it's easier than you think. And that is the thing. I think we were laughing about it earlier because it's kind of like laughable at this point that you've gone through the hard journey, and obviously you still work really hard, but now it's almost like, how much money are you gonna make today? It's funny that you've got to this point where you're so confident and competent with you, your skill set, the offer that you're on, that it's easy.
It's kind of crazy. Absolutely crazy, yeah.
Do you ever think about what would have happened if you didn't join?
Yes, all the time, all the time. I just, I genuinely, I probably think about it every single day because I never want to forget the reason that I'm at this point. But I just think about it, I'm like, what if I just continued doing what I was doing? I would definitely not be in this position. I'd probably be stuck at a job that, you know, I feel okay at, but I'm just not reaching my full potential. Um, I, I wouldn't have been able to move out so comfortably as well. I think I definitely wouldn't be able to give back to my family. You know, I'd still feel like I'm not really paycheck to paycheck, but I just don't have extra money to really do much, basically. And I would just feel like I'm stuck in that rat race. And, you know, it just wouldn't really be very fulfilling. And then obviously feeling that way, it's, you know, not going to keep you happy as well. So you probably don't feel too good. And then that sort of goes into other things as well. So I think that if I didn't take that chance on myself, like if I didn't bet on myself, I definitely would have missed out on such a like great opportunity. And it's sad because I feel like a lot of people really don't reach their potential. Now that I've started closing, obviously I realize that a lot more where I can see so much potential in people. And for example, like there are people maybe working in retail, working in construction, like people who would be really good at sales. genuinely, because you work so hard, right? But they just don't believe that they can do it. Yeah. But if they believe that they could do it, they would absolutely smash it. Like me coming from a medical background, no way that I thought I would be good at sales. There's absolutely no way because it is so different. But, um, just trying it, knowing that you— if you're someone who has the work ethic and you know that everything you do, you really do it well, then trying something different is actually not as hard as you think it might be. Because if you just take that work ethic into something else, you know, you're already going to be doing, you know, your best. So if you try your best, what are the chances of failing? Like, it's super unlikely, right? If you really do your best, the only, the only way that you'll fail is if you just don't try, then obviously you'll fail. But if you try, that brings you so much closer to actually succeeding as well. So I think, yeah, taking chances is so, so important.
I agree 100%. I guess to finish on Because you've achieved such an incredible milestone, and it's very, very easy not to take it in. So, I hope you are. Like, I, every now and then throughout my journey, I would, like, write things down in a journal, or I would do, like, video diaries to, like, really be able to look back on. So, definitely do that if you're not. But I think that this in itself, this case study, is such an amazing moment. So, If you were to speak to your younger self on your hardest, darkest day, what would you say to her now with all this hindsight?
Oh, I would just say that, yeah, because I think when I was younger, I would really dream of being, you know, that woman that just has the freedom. She can just, you know, travel, do all the things that she wants to. And I think if I was able to meet her, go back and tell her that I'm able to get to this point. Genuinely, I don't think she would believe it. But I think one thing that I would have loved to tell myself going back would be just believe in yourself. I mean, I know it's easier said than done, but you are so much more capable than what you think you are because the only limit that you put on yourself is going to be yourself. So I wish I could go back in time and tell myself to just do this sooner. like get into sales or try something, you know, while I have the opportunity. Because obviously while you're young, you have a lot more time, you know, you don't have responsibilities or children and things like that to worry about. So you have the time and you have the opportunity to take, you know, different challenges, take that risk, you know. And so I feel like I would have loved to tell myself to do more of these things when I was younger, because if I did that, maybe I would have gotten to this position a lot sooner as well. So, you know, time is the one resource that you can never get back, and I've, I've learned that whilst getting into sales as well. So I think that would be the number one thing that I would go back and tell her. I love it.
Thank you so much, Karuna, for joining us. I think this case study is going to absolutely inspire so many women. Like, it's going to be amazing. I'm I'm so, so excited to share this and just share your incredible journey. Like, I tell you this, but I am so proud of you, and I never doubted you for a second. So, to see this all come into fruition and to see where you are now makes my job 10x worth it. So, thank you for joining us.
Thank you so much, Shelley. And honestly, thank you for helping me, getting me, getting me to this point, because I don't think I would have been able to do it without you. So, of course, big thanks.
