The mindset that helped me go from making 2K a month to 38K a month. So 4 years ago, 2022, I was working as a nanny. I was actually making less than 2K a month. I was making 1.8K a month. I was working 5 days a week. I was working 6 AM till 6 PM, and I was burnt out. I was operating out of scarcity, and I was so miserable. I was trying to pick up extra shifts in different places, in fashion trade stands, things like that. Just to make ends meet, and I was desperate for another way. I even started an online business with, well, a clothing business. I put thousands into that. I thought that was going to be my lifeline. I thought that was going to make me the money of my dreams. It didn't. It failed. And I was truly at breaking point, like truly. And then cut to now, 4 years later, I live in Dubai, I've retired my mom, I don't have to think about bills, I don't have to think about rent, I'm fully financially free because I finally put my money where my mouth is and I finally actually took action in the right direction. And I really want to film this video to show you like the actionable tips of what's possible because if you're watching this and if you clicked on this video, you probably know you can work hard. You probably have been working really hard in certain avenues and it's just not been paying off and it feels impossible and quite honestly depressing. And you know you're made for more and you know you want a better life for you, for your family, for your partner, for your children, whatever that may be. You just don't know how. And looking back and reflecting, I just didn't know how.. And that was my problem. And that's why I struggled. And that's why I went from like scarcity and living paycheck to paycheck to living a life of abundance, making $38K a month as a closer, even more as a manager, and obviously building my business and helping so many women follow in my footsteps. It's because I was just on the right vehicle and I just had the right avenue and I had the mindset shift. Which is really, really important. So let's get into it because I want to show you how. First things first, I stopped chasing higher pay and I started chasing higher income. So I used to sit there for hours working backwards trying to see how much I would need to make an hour to afford my dream life. At one point it was a $30K a year salary, then it was a $50K a year salary, then an $80K a year salary. And to be honest, being like a millionaire or being financially free or whatnot was something that I thought about would happen in my 40s, 50s, 60s. I never planned to have financial freedom or to be able to make £38k months or six-figure years in my 20s because I just never saw that as a reality. No one around me was doing it, it just didn't seem possible. So I was planning for like, okay, I need to make £30 an hour, I need to make £35 an hour,, and that's where I was going wrong, because I didn't leverage my skill set. I didn't see how I could make money for my input that equaled my output, if that makes sense. I was just calculating on an hourly rate what someone else would pay me for my time, not my skill. And that's when, for me, I discovered high-ticket sales, and I realized I could be paid for my skill and for my knowledge and the hours I put in. If I wanted to work 10-hour days, I could. If I wanted to work 2-hour days, I could. If I wanted to train super hard, I could, or not. I directly received money and commission with a correlation to what I did and what I was worth. And that was a light bulb moment for me because that's what I felt I'd been lacking for so long. I always had to ask permission, other people's kind of opinions of what I would worth— what I was worth, sorry— dictated what I was paid. And I was so sick and tired of that because I knew that I was capable of more. And to be honest, I was going into these jobs wanting to do the bare minimum because I was being paid the bare minimum. However, when I discovered sales, I wanted to go above and beyond. I was passionate about my work because I was finally getting the gratification and finally getting the reward that I knew I deserved with my work ethic. The next thing I did was I stopped thinking like an employee. Now, this is hard, especially when we're brought up in a system where a stable paycheck, being able to pay our bills, maybe a car on finance, a holiday a year— that is the norm. Living for the weekend, paid vacation, sick pay, so on, so forth. But when you realize that that's actually keeping you capped and that's actually stopping you achieve your full potential is when it really becomes apparent. And that was the same for me. Like I said earlier, I was calculating backwards what I would need to be paid to make like 60 grand a year and how that was a stable income. And every single month I'd be making like 4,000, 4,000, 4,000, and I knew what I was getting. But what if it's actually better to not know? What if it's actually better to be able to dictate how much you're making depending on how much you want to work that month? And that was the light bulb moment for me. And sometimes I get asked the questions, but what about sick pay? What about vacation or insurance or things like that? But with this industry, you are making like 3, 4, 5, 6x more than your current role. So you will be able to pay yourself for vacation days, you'll be able to pay for your medical, you'll be able to do all that and then some. And I think that's a really hard mindset for most people to get out of. But if I don't have all those stabilities, then I'm, I'm not gonna be able to live. But you're not going to be making what you're making in your 9 to 5. You're going to be 5x-ing your income, and that's going to give you freedom and flexibility. What if you don't wanna be bound to a 9 to 5? What if you wanna be able to travel the world, not ask for permission? Think of the other side of the coin to that. What if you are on a stable role where, you know, you're constantly bringing in the income because you've honed your skill, you're closing at 50%, and you can reduce your hours to 3 days a week? That is what possible, that's what's possible when you are your own boss and you have a highly leveraged skill. And it took me a bit of time to really get out of that mindset, but when I did, Oh my goodness, how everything changed. And I really saw this skill set as an opportunity to push and to grow and develop. And that is why personally for me, I was able to move so quickly because I wanted to work hard. I really wanted to put in all the hours under the sun to build financial freedom. I locked in. And I know that can sound a little bit cringe, but I did. I stopped thinking that I could have my cake and eat it. I stopped thinking that everything in life would just come my way. I started to realize that I actually had to do the hard thing. I maybe stopped having to socialize with my friends so much, or go to bed later, or sacrifice different things to make my dreams a reality. I had to push myself out of my comfort zone, invest in myself, spend the final amounts of my savings into something that I'd never done before. I had to feel the fear and do it anyway. And that's something that most people aren't prepared to do. For me, I talked the talk for so long, but did I actually walk the walk? No. And I think a lot of people can relate to this, especially if you're watching this. Have you truly ever made true, true sacrifices? Have you ever put yourself in a position where it could fail and it could go wrong and you could lose time and you could lose money and you could lose friendships? Because that's what building your dream life takes. It's not all sunshine and rainbows like you see on Instagram. It takes time, it takes effort, it takes money, it takes sacrifice. And I really had a word with myself and I really asked myself like, what was I prepared to do? What was I prepared to sacrifice to finally make this a reality? And I bet on myself and took risks, even if no one else believed in me, even if people thought I was crazy, even if no one in my friendship group was doing what I was doing, I bet on myself and I stuck to my guns and I did what felt right to me. I put myself in the best possible position I could by investing in a mentor and surrounding myself with like-minded people who had seen success, who had done what I wanted to do. I quit my job, I went all in, I locked myself away, I cut off people, and I really, really made it happen. Now, it doesn't have to be that dramatic, of course, but I always say you can't have a 10K outcome with a 1K strategy. You've gotta have a 10K strategy, a 10K effort to get a 10K outcome. And that is what I did. I was prepared to do whatever it took, and no one was going to stop me. Because once I found that vehicle, once I invested in myself and I really, really did find my craft, oh, best believe I ran with it. And that is what I see so many women doing. Like, when they build confidence, when they build that communication skills, they just soar and they just fly. And it's funny because a lot of people say, well, but I'm too scared. Like, I'm not good at communication now. I'm not good at sales now. I've never done sales before. You're not meant to be excellent off the bat. Like, who is excellent at anything off the bat? Riding a bike, swimming, learning a new language. You're not meant to be good at first. And I had to tell myself that too. I had so many limiting beliefs around that. And then I had to like have a word with myself quite honestly and realize like, You're not meant to be perfect at first. You're not meant to know everything. You're not meant to know anything. You just have to trust yourself. So if you're watching this thinking, well, I wanna make those same decisions, but I don't know where to start, remember, if you want what you've never had, you've got to do what you've never done. You've got to try new things to get a different outcome. So bet on yourself. Lock in, make sacrifices, stop thinking as an employee, and you will be so surprised to see how your life can change in a matter of 6 months, especially when you're learning a high-income skill, just like I have and just like so many women in the Female Sales Accelerator have all over the world. So if you're watching this and you're thinking, well, I really want to be a part of that too, there's a link in my bio, there's an application form.
