Why most fail and why YOU don't have to - HIGH TICKET SALES

Shelley Young breaks down why most high-ticket salespeople fail: they're slow, unprepared, and won't ask for business. The ones who win move fast, use scripts, ask directly for opportunities, and commit hard. She went from zero to £27k per month in just over a year.

Why most people fail in high ticket sales and why you don't have to. Hi, my name is Shelley and in just over a year I went from 0 to 27k per month working in high ticket sales. And I really wanted this video to be somewhat kind of like the do's and don'ts of what I see within the industry and why so many people embark on their journey in sales and really never get to make the money online or never get to make their dream income and are kind of stuck in the limbo versus the people who kind of come in, have the plan in place and earn their dream income quicker than they ever thought. What are the differences? Like what are the different characteristics? What are the different kind of inputs that then you can take away and do the good and obviously avoid the bad. So let's get into it. The first thing that I see a lot of people do who are not as successful in high ticket sales is they're slow. Everything's a slow and steady journey, right? They take their time, they maybe go with the flow, try a few different avenues, hope one of them works and hope for the best, see what happens. Whereas the people who I see who have been successful within high ticket sales, they move quick. Speed is like a top characteristic. They move quick, they have their plan, they know what they're doing, they'll fail quick and then they'll get themselves back up and they'll try something else. Failure isn't the issue here, it's how quickly you can like move. So if you go for an interview and you don't get the job, you wouldn't kind of let that put you down, you would just go again and they go again and again and you would get as many reps in as you can. So you can eventually get your dream outcome quickly. Do you know what I mean? So speed is absolutely key in this industry because this industry moves so, so fast. So if you can master speed and kind of stop being so slow and stop kind of taking your time, you are absolutely going to achieve your result far quicker than you believed you could. Essentially, number two is being under prepared. I see a lot of people who are not as successful in the high ticket sales space, they're not prepared, you know, they don't know their scripts or their frameworks, they don't know their interview prep, they couldn't be put on the spot to ask certain questions or present themselves in a certain way. They wouldn't be ready to drop everything to take an opportunity. They are not ready to seize the opportunity, seize the moment, right? Whereas people who I see who are more successful in high ticket sales, they're super ready. If you wanted an interview, they could jump on same day. They could sell themselves, they could present themselves, they could do a role play on the spot. They wouldn't need to have their script in front of them. They know their framework, they know what they're talking about and they're confident in doing so. And that is huge. Because going back to the speed, this industry moves so quick. So if great opportunities come your way, you really have to be prepared to jump on an interview same day to land that job. You have to know what you're talking about, you have to know your stuff. And if you're a complete beginner or someone with a little bit of experience in sales, but not much, that's okay. You can still apply this to you, right? You can still understand the framework, you can still kind of memorize a mock script. Because frameworks and scripts, they're pretty much the same wherever you go. So you can still perfect that. You can absolutely practice your interview skills. And really, when you're in interview, you're selling yourself, you're not selling your experience. So there's still so much work to be done. Even if you're a complete beginner, it's just being smart about it, right? And tailoring it to where you're at, your experience. You have to make sure that you do not miss out on an opportunity. Because I see so many people who miss out because they were under prepared. And if you want to be earning 10, 15, 20k per month, these opportunities are going to be gone like this because so many people want them. So it's literally may the best man win. So you want to be in the running to achieve that. Number three. I see a lot of people who aren't as successful in high ticket sales think that they deserve an opportunity, think that they've been in sales for a long time, or they've tried this many outreach methods, or they've done xyz. They deserve a break. I hate to break it to you, but no one deserves an opportunity. Like, no one is coming to give you that. Like, there is no. I wish there was. But the harsh reality is there's not. Like, no offer, owner, recruiter, manager is going to be like, I know, I've seen John. John has put all these inputs in. Let's give John this opportunity he deserves. Opportunity. Like, that's very rare for that to happen for someone just to be like, I've seen XYZ do this let's give them an opportunity. Do you know what I mean? You have to put yourself forward, you have to put yourself out your comfort zone. You have to ask for more. You have to prove yourself and keep on asking. You have to put yourself in the right place for the opportunity which links back to being prepared and acting with speed. It's so important because the people who I see who are the most successful in high ticket sales do just that. They don't wait around for, for the perfect moment, for the perfect opportunity. They create their own opportunities. They ask for what they want. Whether it's more commissions, a new job within the kind of company setter to a closer, getting a job on a job offer, whatever it is, asking recruiters if they can do anything else to help stand out, just really always going above and beyond because you'll come to realize that yes, the industry's competitive but, but the bar is so low. So there's a lot of people, but it's more a lot of noise in reality. If you can put your standards up here and most people's standards are here, you are going to be fast tracked and you are going to get so many more opportunities. And I think it's really about, and I think this whole video is really about just really having like an honest conversation and sitting with yourself and journaling like what could I be doing more? If you're someone watching this who has tried for six months and they still have not got a single job offer in high ticket sales, what else could you be doing? Because there is more to be done. Number four is people who blame everything else but themselves. And that is a key characteristic of people who I see who are not successful in high ticket sales. Everything is your fault. Whether you go for 10 interviews and you don't get a single job offer or whether you go for one and get the job on the spot, both options are your fault, good or bad. The most successful people that I see in high ticket sales take full accountability for everything. It is their fault. It is on them. The good, the bad, the inputs, the outputs, it is on you. Now what you've got to remember is you can't control what you can't control. You can't control a person, you can't control how much commission you make. You can't control if the lead shows up. You can absolutely do inputs to help with that. The more reps you do, the more calls you take, the likelihood your commissions are going to be higher. The more outreach you do, pre call follow up you do, the higher likelihood More of your leads are going to show up, so on, so forth. So for you and for the most successful people I see in high ticket sales, if you can focus on just your daily inputs, making sure your daily inputs are productive and you are every single day moving the needle forward, then that is going to be so huge for your success within high ticket sales. Number five. The thing that I see most people do who aren't as successful in high ticket sales is, is that they try and do multiple things at once, multiple side hustles or traveling the world going X, Y, Z. Yes, of course you can have other things going on and of course you can travel. That is the perk of the job, right? That's why so many people get into this industry. But in reality, if you want to work for the best companies, if you want the 15, 20k months, even the 10k months these days, because it's not, it's not that easy, you know, you've got to put work in, you have to be 100% committed for at least 12 months in my opinion. Someone may say different, but for me and for the people close to me who I've seen see success in high ticket sales is for at least a year they were pretty much glued to their desk. Then they went out and started traveling a bit more. Then they saw the rewards of kind of their hard work. You need to be 100% obsessed and you don't have to be by any means. If you're happy with kind of like an average wage and, and you're not looking to kind of see, you know, hit the six figure marks etc, then you can multitask both. And I see people doing that and they seem to be happy doing that. So it's not like you have to be one or the other by any means. But I guess this video is more for people who really want to see that success. What is it that the top performers do? What is it that the high earners do? And how can I do the same? And that is exactly what I'm telling you. And for yourself, just be completely focused, Reflect, think about what it is that you're prepared to sacrifice. Whether it's time, seeing your friends, whether it's relationships, family, travel, maybe even the gym. Let's be real. I know everyone says you got to go to the gym, you got to meditate, cold plunge, whatever, but to be completely upfront, I didn't keep a very rigid gym routine throughout the past 12 months. I tried my best and I tried to go as often as I could, but You've got to understand what it is that you're prepared to sacrifice. And if you'd rather be up till three in the morning closing deals, then you're probably not going to be up at 5am in your spin class, do you know what I mean? So it's figuring out what you are prepared to sacrifice. Everyone's going to look different and that is how you know the scale of the success you're going to have and how long it's going to take you, essentially. And finally it kind of links back in to the point before is the most successful people are obsessed. The people who I see who don't do as well in high ticket sales do not take this seriously. They hope they can just jump on a couple sales calls and hope for the best and make a bit of money and life's great. But it's not like that. I hate to break it to you, it's hard, it's difficult. Yes. There are so many perks to the job and once you understand how to use it to your advantage and when you understand how to kind of work the industry, life's going to get much easier. But for your first, I'd say 12 months, you're obsessed. You do whatever it takes. You do your core reviews, you do your role plays, you do your interview training, you work as many hours as humanly possible to get the reps in early, to get results early, which will allow you to work towards the better companies. And that's what I see. I've done it myself and I've also seen other people do it. They've been absolutely obsessed, which is an open doors, which allows them to take a little bit more of a, a step back and I would highly recommend doing that too. So really, I know a lot of the time people search for the secret they want, like the secret one answer of what they can do to make the 10k months, the 15k months. But in reality, if you can genuinely just implement the steps I've just gone through right now, same day, same week, implement, really sit and reflect. What is it that you need to do? What have you done, what's not working, what's working well, where could you improve if you really just map out that plan? Trust me when I say you can completely turn this around. You can land your dream job, you can have your dream income, you can have whatever you want in this industry because it really is full of opportunities, but it's full of opportunities for the people who go out and get the opportunities.
