Every millionaire I know does these 3 things, broke people don't

A short motivational monologue by Will (William Brown) listing three habits he says all millionaires he knows share (and broke people generally don’t): (1) obsess and iterate on a craft or business, (2) move fast—take decisive, timely action, and (3) constantly learn and never quit. Will supports each habit with personal anecdotes (friends who quit too early, a client who benefited from iteration, and a mastermind member who spent ~$36,000/year on recordings) and closes with a call-to-action to adopt these behaviors.

Hey guys, it's Will. And in this video. I don't know what I'm doing today. This coffee is way too strong. Me, I'm gonna have to start again. I forgot the title. Give me a sec.
Right, I've got it. Every millionaire I know does these three things and broke people don't. That's the title. I was going to butcher that. So let's talk about it now. Every millionaire that I either know or that I've ever met does these things.
It's extremely rare that broke people do them. So what I'm going to share in this video. If you are like me and you want to build great things, get rich, become wealthy, become a multimillionaire, create the life of your dreams, that kind of thing, this is really going to add a lot of value and this is going to create a lot of focus in you because I'm going to tell you what to do basically to.
Build a great business or businesses and make a hell of a lot of money and build wealth and gain freedom. So let's get into it. Okay, now let me just.
Get this the right place and let's cover point number one.
Okay?
So the first thing that I see every single millionaire do and broke people never do is the following obsess and iterate. I want to give you an example. Now, to use myself as an example here. I live and sleep and breathe business and entrepreneurship. It's pretty much all that I do with all of my time. I read books on it constantly. I watch videos on it, I watch documentaries on it. I go to business workshops and masterminds. I invest in business coaches and mentors. I physically do business. I constantly plan what I'm doing in business. I track all my numbers, I track all my goals. And I am 100% obsessed with what I do. And this is common of any successful person, any millionaire that I've ever met, they are 100% consumed and obsessed. They live it, they breathe it, they never stop thinking about it. If they go on holiday, they're thinking about it all the way there. They're thinking about it on holiday, they're thinking about it all the way home. Let's say that you are into fitness or you're a trader or you're into self development or you help people with addiction. Well, if you're successful, it's, it's just a fact. You are going to be obsessed with it and doing it and learning about it and practicing it and helping the people that you help with it. And it's just pure Pure, pure, pure obsession. That is the difference. Broke people or people that fail, they're not obsessed. They're just trying to do it a bit. They're just trying to dip the toe into it. They're just trying to see if it works. You know, they don't really, in many cases, never read a book on it before. And if they have, it's 1, 2, 3. They very rarely, like, actively research it. They've never been to a workshop or a mastermind about it. They've almost certainly never had a coach or a mentor on the subject that they are trying to master, whatever that is. And they're not obsessed. They're basically just not obsessed. And that lack of obsession, it's really a reflection of a lack of passion and drive and true want and true desire to reach their goals and make their dreams a reality. So that's number one. And the second part to that is, as you can see here, it's iteration. Now, I had a friend come to me recently who had tried to learn to trade stocks. And after six weeks, he came to me and he was like, will, I don't think I can do this. I've lost the $500 that I started with. I don't have a clue what I'm doing.
Do you have any other ways that I can make money? And not only was it a lack of obsession, but, but it was a. But it was a. More importantly, it was a lack of iteration. Because guys, very, very, very. Almost nothing just works in four weeks, six weeks, eight weeks, eight weeks, ten weeks. You don't just start from scratch and print money in four weeks, six weeks, eight weeks, 10 weeks.
Anything, whether it's fitness, learning to drive, building a business, building a relationship, it takes time and learning and effort and iteration. You try this, it doesn't work well. You can either give up and fail and be a loser or try something else. Read another book, watch another video, hire another coach or mentor, go to a mastermind, go to a workshop, learn obsession, iterate, and it will work. Given time. If somebody, I've. I've always had this belief, if somebody out there can do something.
Then why can't I? They just know things that I don't know yet. And to learn takes time. You don't go to university and graduate in one month, two months, three months, takes years. You don't go to high school and finish in a month, two months, three months, six months, a year. It takes time and the learning and the effort and the obsession and the iteration compounds on itself and you get Better and better and better and better and better. I want to share one more example. So I worked with a client recently and this guy was absolutely brand new. And after three weeks he was saying to me, will, when are we going to start making money? When are we going to start getting clients? I was like, dude, come on. It takes time. We've got to, we've got to build it up, we've got to test it all, we've got to construct everything and we've got to slowly obsess and iterate. And we will get there. That's a fact. We will get there. If there is product market fit and the unit economics makes sense, it will work. It will absolutely work. But you've got to build, you've got to test, you've got to iterate, you've got to remove bottlenecks, you've got to solve the problems, you've got to remove the constraints. And when you do that, you get the outcome, all right? And that goes for anything. You don't learn to drive a car after one or two or three driving lessons. You don't get a six pack after one or two or three gym sessions. You don't graduate university after one or two or three classes. You don't build a profitable, successful, high level long term business after one or two or three weeks or after making one or two or three ads, okay? Or the likes. Successful people do these two things. They obsess. Not only do they obsess, but they iterate as well. So that's number one. Number two is this.
Now I have never, ever, ever met a millionaire that doesn't move fast.
In fact, it's one of the key things that I see. It's one of the key traits.
Of successful people. They don't waste time. When they know that something has to be done, they are there. They don't like think about it and they don't like mull on it. They don't overthink these things. And in fact, it's usually because they're obsessed and they're already, they already know that time is money, as cheesy as that sounds, and speed is absolutely critical. They already know that because of the iteration and the, the obsession and the reading the books and the learning from people further ahead of them. They already know that they have to move fast when the time is right. Now I'm not saying they just run around like a headless chicken and just do loads of random shit. It's calculated moves on the chessboard essentially. When they know that they've got a problem that they need to solve or a higher that they need to make or an investment that makes sense or something changes, it's just bang, it's done. If they know that they've got a attend a mastermind, they don't think about it for three, four, five, six weeks. It's just like this makes sense, no problem done. If they've got to hire somebody, when they truly know that they've got to hire someone, it's like, right, let's, what's what, what are the steps? Let's start now, let's go and do it right now. And the likes, they move very fast. When they've got an idea, I still don't know what I'm doing with my hand. When they've got an idea, they don't overthink, they don't waste time, they don't hesitate. And I was talking about this to a friend of mine recently. The only time that I see successful people stall and not move fast is when they either haven't planned things properly or they know deep down they're doing the wrong thing and their gut is stopping them from taking action because they know it's the wrong thing to do. So they stall until they, until they realize I shouldn't be doing this and then they don't do it. That's the one time that I see successful people stall is when they haven't got checked themself. And when they do, they know not to do it. And I experienced that recently as well. But when you know that what you're doing is right, successful people just move like lightning fast, man. No time wasted and they just get whatever needs to be done done with no time wasted. So that's the second thing that I see in rich and successful people and I, I've never seen that in unsuccessful people. With unsuccessful people it's always like, now's not the right time, I need to think about it. I'm not sure about this, you know, I need to do more research. Because they're not obsessed, right? So they haven't done it already and they know that which is a problem in itself and they always, it just never gets done, man. And if it does get done, they quit early or if they don't quit early, they don't iterate and then they get stuck. And because they refuse to learn, because they're not obsessed, they don't learn, they get no results and they fail. And then it's just on to the next thing that they're still not obsessed about that they're still not going to iterate on that they're still not going to move fast on. So it's like a, instead of a positive flywheel, it's actually a negative flywheel that they create for themselves, which is really sad. But if I'm describing any of you watching this video, well, you've got the solution. You're learning the solutions here that you can go away and take action on. And this, this what I'm sharing with you, fuck, man. It will change your life, it will change the game. The money that this will make you, the time that this will save you, the impact that this will allow you to have is just massive because success leaves clues. And if you do what successful people do, you get what successful people get. That's just a very basic, it's just, it's just action, reaction.
So that's number, so that's number two. Number three is this.
So in a way we've spoke about this just a second ago, but this is the third thing that I see every millionaire that I know and have ever met and have ever spent time with and I'm going to give you an example that's very powerful in just a second. They constantly learn and they never quit. They never quit. Now when I first moved to Dubai, I was introduced through a mutual friend to a guy called Iman Gadzi. And I met up with him. The first time I met him we went for a coffee and we were both in a mastermind together. We were in Samovan's Quantum Mastermind. I'd been in for a year and Iman was one of the longest serving members. He'd been in it for three or four years. And he said to me that he doesn't have time to attend the events in America. He doesn't have time to watch back the recordings, but he does listen back. He listens back to the recordings in his spare time at the gym, on a walk, whatever. And he said to me, it's the most expensive audiobook in the world because it was, it was $36,000 per year for that mastermind and he'd been in it for years. So he'd given Sam maybe a quarter of a million dollars just to listen to Sam talking other, I mean us guys, other members talking about what we were doing and how we were doing it and different tactics and strategies and stuff. And that in itself is obsession and iteration. Because a mastermind is all about learning from the person whose mastermind. It is learning from other members so that you can iterate on your business and move faster. So it's all these qualities in one. It's obsession, it's iteration, it's moving fast, it's learning, and it's not quitting. So if you ever attend a mastermind or workshop and you're not a millionaire yet, well, you're on the path to becoming one very soon because you're doing all of these things that we're discussing right now in one go. But anyway, so back to Imam. He said to me it was the most expensive audiobook that exists in the world. And it absolutely is, if you don't attend the events. And I just thought, this guy is a legend. The fact that he's spending the money.
And not even attending the events. But he is learning. He's clearly obsessed, he's clearly iterating, he's moving fast, he's learning and he's not quitting. Well, surprise to fucking surprise, his net worth is 20, 30, 40 million. Surprise, fucking surprise, man. You know? So let me ask you this. What are you doing right now? Are you obsessed? Are you iterating? Are you moving fast? Are you constantly learning? Are you not giving up or do you not obsess? And when you start something, do you not iterate and you don't finish it? Do you move slow and overthink things? Do you not learn? I mean, when was the last time that you bought a book? Hopefully it was mine. And if you're nodding your head to that, I love you and I appreciate you very much. But seriously, when was the last time that you bought a book? When was the last time that you went to a workshop or a mastermind? When was the last time you hired a coach or a mentor who's where you want to be so that you can get there faster and learn from them? That goes back to obsession. It goes back to iteration, it goes back to moving fast, it goes back to learning and not quitting. So can you see the stuff that we're talking about here? It creates a positive flywheel and it all feeds into each other and compounds on itself. And this is the stuff that millionaires always do. They always do. Some that I've met don't read books, but they are. But they are in a mastermind, they do have a mentor. They are obsessed, they constantly iterate, they certainly do move fast. That is for damn sure. That's one of the key ones. So I'd ask you, which of these are you missing? Which of these are you missing, maybe not doing yet, and how can you begin to do them? Well, I want to share some thoughts and feedback on that because when it comes to obsession, it can be developed and you can also lose it as well. And I'm, I'm an example of that because I've done a few different things across my life. One of them, I mean my first ever proper career was as a DJ and a record producer, right? And I did that full time. Wasn't particularly well paid, but it was a full time career. If you haven't seen my boiler room DJ set yet, go and watch that.
After this video, of course. And I was 100% all in. In fact, I remember saying to one of my relatives once, I will do music for the rest of my life. It's, I mean, what else am I going to do? This was before I got onto the path of business and music actually kind of led into the path of business because I was forced to manage my finances because of that, I was forced to learn about building wealth. And then because of that, that led me to business and on and on. So it's funny how these things change over time.
But my obsession for music slowly waned and my obsession for money and business and wealth slowly rose and I iterated along the way. I certainly moved fast. I've always moved fast, sometimes to my detriment. But it's done me more favors. More good than bad for sure. To, to move fast. Learning, I mean, I don't know where, I don't know where I got this trait from, this love for learning, but I've just loved reading about, reading about what I love and doing what I love and you know, you know, watching video, watching videos on what I love, reading books and magazines on what I love. And then you just discover these little things that make a big difference. So one guy, in fact, I can't actually share this. I get in a lot of trouble. I'll try and share it without being too specific, but a guy came to my last Mastermind event, I won't say who, because I'll get in trouble for sharing this. And we had a call about two, three days ago and he said, will you know what? I didn't even need to come to your mastermind. And quite honestly I was not going to come but I thought if I get one little nugget, it's all going to be worth it. So I came and this guy flew in internationally and just one little thing, it was a three day event and honestly it was about 30 minutes of that three days that's completely changed his business and made him. It will add at least a million a year to his business and what he learned without fully giving this away. Because again, I'll get in a lot of trouble for giving this away, at least publicly. If you're one of my coaching clients, just ask me about this on one of our private calls and I'll tell you. But for the rest of you. So he learned that in his niche, sales reps just don't jive with prospects. So he basically rebranded his sales team, rebranded his sales reps, adjusted his sales script to essentially just look and sound different to suit his niche.
And it changed his whole business.
Just that one thing. Man has added seven figures a year, if not multi seven figures a year to his business. I'm sorry that I can't give you guys more info on that, but it's, it's just so impactful. If I shared this with all of you, I mean.
Not only would he be a bit annoyed, but the impact, I mean, if I told you guys this, especially those of you who have sales teams, this could make you 100 grand, half a million, a million more per year just by telling you this change. And that's how impactful education is. Like, I know things that some of you, if you knew, you would instantly make more money. And that's the power of education. And that's why I make these videos, to share as much as I can with you guys. I can't share everything, but I do share as much as I physically can. So I really hope that this video helps. I hope that it adds value. And if you're not doing these things, then please go out there, put these into practice and just observe the impact.
That this is going to have on your business, on your finances, on your life.
How fast you move, how much progress you make, and on and on and on. So obsess, iterate, move fast, learn, and most importantly, don't quit. If everything makes sense and you've done what you need to do within your business, you have product, market, fit your unit, economics are dialed in and they make sense. Your product is good, there's a need within the market. Your funnel is built correctly, your team are well trained. If you have a team, and on and on and on. If you just do everything correctly, don't quit because you will get results and it will work given time. So hope it helps, guys. And that's all from me. I'll see you back here soon.
