Gurus are ALL lying to you about being rich

Will Brown tells entrepreneurs making 10k to 140k monthly to stop spending on watches and flights and invest instead. He built multi-seven-figure cash and real estate by buying property outright and keeping money in high-interest accounts. His clients who didn't invest lost everything when income dropped.

Hey guys, it's Will. And this is a desperate plea.
To entrepreneurs out there that are making.
10K a month, 25, 50k a month.
Invest your money before it all comes to an end. Now I had a new client join my one to one coaching program this morning and this guy.
Was not in a good way, was not in a good way. And this is someone who from the outside in looks very successful. So this is obviously I can't share names and I won't share anything that would link back to this guy for, for client privacy. I haven't asked permission to make this video.
But I've just got to share this. Now, one thing that served me very well in my life and my entrepreneurial journey, I've always had a healthy fear and my friends will know this, my family certainly know this for some reason. I think it's because I grew up so poor. I've always hoarded money and saved money and somewhat been scared to spend it. Now this is less the case nowadays, but certainly for the first three or four or five years when I started making, I had a quarter of a million year, then a 1.3 million year, then a 2.7 million year. And all along the way.
I always thought to myself.
This could end tomorrow. Now I'm building skills, I'm building knowledge, building something substantial here. But this could end, this could end any day, any week, any month. So I did one of the smartest things.
And all along the way I just made money, bought real estate with cash. Made money, bought real estate with cash. And after my call this morning, this guy, his business has just been slowly going down and down and down and down and down. And he shared a thought with me that I want to share with you. He said to me, will.
I am terrified.
That maybe it was all luck and maybe it's about to end. And look, I've got some cash, but I've got no investments and I've got no plan and I don't know what I would do if this business went under. And this is someone that from the outside in, they drive a supercar which is on finance. They live in a very large house which they rent.
And again, they've got decent cash reserves but no investments. And if the business theoretically did die, then they actually said to me, and this.
This, this was heavy, this was really, really, really, really heavy when they, when they told me this because I used to think this and it is a, it is a. For me it was, it was, it was just terrifying. They said to me, will, if this Business goes under, I will have to move back in with my parents. And this is someone that at one stage was making 120, 130, 140,000amonth.
Where did that money go? You're probably asking right now. You're thinking, well, he was making six figures a month and now he's scared about going broke and moving back in with his parents.
This is what entrepreneurs do.
They rent fucking supercars, they buy watches, they spend all their money on rent and flights and holidays and girls and things that they don't really need. And then when it does come to an end, they're broke. This is what you see with athletes, this is what you see with footballers, this is what you see with influencers specifically. They think that they're just going to be famous and rich forever.
Now, in a way, accidentally. Now, let me just say this. I'm not the richest person. I'm not the wealthiest person. I'm far from the smartest person. I've been able to build an investment portfolio, zero debt, multi seven figures cash, multi seven figures real estate. And I could retire.
Right now, today and comfortably never work again. Again. I'm not, I'm not bragging, I just need to say that to.
Paint the picture, essentially. So I am, I'm suggesting here to do just what I've done. And this guy that I had a call with this morning, he almost.
You know, when we were covering his outgoings and his assets and my outgoings and my assets, he was like, I wish that you had told me this two years ago, three years ago, because then he would have been where I am now and if he just would have done what I did then this all could have been avoided, essentially.
And that's why I wanted to make this video. Because if any of you are making decent money right now, 10, 30, 50k a month, or if you're very lucky, like he used to over 100k a month profit, then maybe just think about the future and maybe just have a little bit of that healthy fear where you understand and you respect the fact that nothing lasts forever when it comes to business and the income from your business. And things change, you know, markets change, competitors come in, promises and mechanisms and ads and funnels burn out. And I think we all like to think and believe that we are building skills for a long term and we're going to constantly learn and build and grow and get bigger and further. But I think it's, I think it can serve you well. I think for me you've kind of got to be Somewhere in the middle where you think long term, right, and, and, and, and act and go in that direction. But equally, I personally think, and this is just my belief, by the way, I, I, this is just my opinion and my experience. So some people will think that I'm right, some people will think that I'm wrong. And that's completely okay. You, you, you make your decision based on you and where you're at.
But I think it's healthy to almost work like it's going to last forever, but invest like it isn't going to last forever. And then in my opinion, you're as safe as safe can be. So for me, my investment strategy has always been very, very simple. And any friend of mine, any family member of mine, any client of mine will be able to tell you what this is. Make cash. Buy real estate with cash. That's it, that's, that's all that I've ever done. And my cash sits in high interest bank accounts which at the moment are making about 4.7 to 5.2% a year. Not a lot, but at least it's, at least it's growing. At least it's somewhere where, where it's growing and real estate. And I rent all of the real estate out, I leave all the money in a separate bank account and when it gets to a certain stage, I buy another unit and then the rent piles back up and then I buy another unit and that is basically my pension. So I was saying to this guy earlier, when you're an entrepreneur, you don't, you have to make your own pension. You don't get given a pension when you're an entrepreneur. So again, you've got a plan to build wealth for the future, for the long term. And again, I am far from the most wealthy person. I'm far from the richest or the smartest. And I'm not like a investment guru, but this client specifically, and also another client last week, they would kill to have had the foresight to do what I've done and don't waste the cash. It's so tempting to want to look rich and buy the car and, you know, rent the best place that you can and fly first class or private, go on these crazy vacations and spend 20, 30, 40, 50,000 and just waste money and waste money and pretend that it's just going to fall from the sky for months and years to come. Because it is now. Right? And I'm not saying don't enjoy the money. You should enjoy the money. You should absolutely enjoy the money. Treat yourself to stupid things like I bought this bloody watch, which you could say was a complete waste of the £30,000 that it cost when I first bought it. So I'm not the saint of life. Don't know what I'm trying to say there, but I just. If I can save one person from being that guy that I had a call with this morning that was almost, almost in tears, quite frankly, at one point because he was just, he just realized that he's had a lot, been stupid with it and he's now on the potential brink of losing it all just because he didn't invest and wasted the cash to look good for YouTube thumbnails and YouTube videos and Instagram pictures and to compete with these guys that show off their lifestyle.
I'm not saying don't do that, but if you're going to do that, do it when you're financially solid and secure. Get yourself 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 million of real estate bought outright with cash. Save up 1 or 2 million in, in cash, spread it out across bank accounts, spread it out across high interest accounts, maybe allocate some capital to an index fund, a stocks, bonds portfolio, well balanced as per what you feel like you need for the future. Build your retirement, then go and waste money, then go and have fun, then go and spend $27,000 on a private flight from London to Dubai like this guy had done eight, nine weeks ago. And again, I really don't want to come across in this video like I know best. I am better than everyone and I know and listen to me.
I just want to share this because again, if this just helps one person to avoid this, then I'm going to have had a positive impact. So I hope that I don't come across as a knob in this video because that's really not the intention. But please just.
Don'T be like 8 out of 10 entrepreneurs and influencers that just think that it's going to last forever because it never lasts forever. The market changes, platforms change, algorithms change.
Everything can shift. And it can shift these days very bloody fast. So if you're lucky enough to be making significant amounts of capital, if you're lucky enough to have significant amounts of capital on hand right now.
Then I strongly suggest.
Just like, think for the future, plan for the future, and if you don't already have it, just get some healthy fear around.
What would happen if your business died.
This month?
What would happen if your active income went from 140,000amonth to 20,000amonth?
Could you.
Have your business stop.
What if you. This is something that my dad used to say to me right back when I was a professional musician. He used to say to me, will you DJ all over the world? What would happen if you lost a leg or like you lost an arm or something and you couldn't dj? And he. Maybe this all comes from, from my dad saying that and because he was, he was basically saying to me back then what I am saying to you now. Basically what would happen if you were fucked? What would happen if you couldn't do the only thing that brings you income?
It's food for thought. And in today's world, I think I'm a big fan of being, I mean I'm a, I'm an absolute optimist. I'm an absolute optimist in, in, in all areas.
With a little bit of pessimism around things lasting forever because I just know that that's not the case. So when you start earning money, it's my belief based on my research and my learnings and my mentors and my experience in business and life and investment. Set a foundation immediately. Use your first 1002-003004-00500,000 cash that you make as an entrepreneur. Buy real estate with cash.
I don't want to get into the whole oh yeah, but you should use leverage, so on and so forth. Debt, mortgages are risk. If you have a mortgage, you do not own that property. The bank owns the property and you are paying the bank until the day the mortgage is clear, then you own the property. Mortgages, debt is risk. And the whole point of this video is to just de risk.
Your life and your business and your financial circumstances and your financial future asap. And then you can go and mess around later. Then you can go and buy whatever car you want and buy whatever watch you want and fly private and go on all the holidays that you want. When you're at that stage, when you're in that season.
But I hope that this video will stop these guys coming to me because this is honestly the sixth or the seventh time that a really an ex high level entrepreneur, things are falling apart. They feel worried, they feel like it might all have been luck. They've got no backup plan, they've got no hedges in place. For those that don't know what that means, a hedge is really like a, like a backup thing. That's the best way that I'd, I'd describe it. It's like a.
Alternative, like a safety net. You could call it a fallback. Just set the foundation asap. Don't do what most people do and when they make money, they go wasting it rather than investing it.
I'll never forget again back when I was a professional musician. I think this had a massive impact on me. I don't think I've realized it. At the time I can't remember the guy's name. There was a famous hip hop.
Musician from England and he was talking about how when he first got signed to a major record label and he got his cash, he spent it all on apartments in London. And he was saying in an interview that was absolutely defining in him becoming wealthy because it 4, 5, 6 X'd over the coming years and he bought it all with cash and now he's got know a safety net. It might only be 6, 7, 8,000 pounds a month in rent, but he's also got all that money stored in those apartments and the income and he said if music ever stopped, well, at least he'd have that there as his backup hedge retirement.
So this is.
This is a desperate plea to all of you entrepreneurs out there that are doing well or, or maybe you're coming into this season where you're not doing well. Don't waste your money. I'm not saying don't have fun, but as someone who is faced with these people who come to me looking for help when they have this problem happen and who has solved it for myself, I really hope that this video inspires you to take care of your capital and to build a foundation.
So that this never happens to you. And then later on you'll have way more money to mess around with and enjoy and so on and so forth. So I really hope that this helps and if this helps, you let me know in the comments. If just one person, if this saves just one entrepreneur from doing this stupid shit, it's going to be worth it.
