How to become a millionaire exact steps, one by one, in order

Will Brown breaks down becoming a millionaire into concrete steps: solve people's problems, develop high-value skills, price your solution, pick a scalable vehicle like online courses or group consulting, then reinvest the earnings. He scaled an e-learning company to $16.8M and sold it, and says the framework works if you consistently deliver value.

Hey, guys, it's Will. And in this video, I want to talk to you about how to become a millionaire when you're broke. Now, wherever you are on your journey, whether you are just starting out, whether you have a decent job, a good career, maybe you even have a business that's already making some money. 15k a month, 25, 50k per month, maybe, maybe slightly more. There's gonna be a nugget in this video that is gonna help you add value for you and allow you to get to your goals in terms of money and wealth faster.
Now, just before we get into the video, for anybody who doesn't know who I am, maybe you're thinking, well, what qualifies you to tell me how to become a millionaire? Well, I have been starting and growing businesses my whole life, the most successful of which I started at 26 years old. It was an E Learning company. I scaled that to 16.8 million in total sales. And I recently sold that company to a private equity firm in America for millions more. Now, that company made me a millionaire at 29, a multimillionaire at 31. And not only have I made that money, I've been able to keep it and grow it as well. So I've certainly got skin in the game. I've been doing this for many, many, many years at a very high level. So I certainly have a few things to share that I think will help you guys. And even if it's only one nugget that you take from this video, it's gonna have been worthwhile you watching it and me making it. So let's get into the video. Now, let's start with money fundamentals. Because if you don't understand money, how can you make it right? So let's start with the double coincidence of wants. And if you've never heard of that before, essentially it's a phrase that refers to the Berta economy.
And if you don't know what the brighter economy is, that was the state of affairs back when money didn't exist yet. Whereby let's say you have.
Five eggs and some cotton and you want to buy a cow. Well, you need to find someone with a cow and barter with them and say, look, I've got these eggs, I've got this cotton. And if you were lucky, they would say, great, I'll take that, you take the cow, we're both happy. If you are unlucky, they would say, no, that's not good enough, I want more. What else can you give me? And if you didn't have more then you could not make that transaction and that value exchange couldn't happen. Now nowadays we've got money, right? And that's all that money is. Money is just an exchange of value. That's it. Whenever you want to buy something, there's a cost attached and you decide whether the cost is suitable or not. You decide whether you want to give your money in return for the value, the value proposition that's being offered.
Now with that said, if money is something that humans exchange in order to gain value, well, what exactly is value? And just before I tell you, let me just ask you a question.
How valuable are you and what value do you bring to the world specifically?
Now value is created when pain is removed or a problem is solved. Okay, so let's say you have a headache. Well, to solve that you're going to buy stom medicine. You exchange money for value and the value solves your problem. That is a value exchange. Or let's say that you want to learn how to trade financial markets. Well, you would find someone who has that skill and as long as they offer education, you would give them your money, they would give you their knowledge, therefore value.
And an exchange would take place. A value exchange would take place. Now I want to share something with you that I've never ever seen talked about in any book, in any YouTube video. And that is the value of value.
Now just bear with me when I say that and let me give you an example.
So let's say person number one is a very successful music composer.
They've mastered the arts of producing amazing music and that is incredibly valuable to the world. Person number two has mastered the art of trading financial markets. So they have a skill whereby they can make money from a laptop, a phone, from anywhere in the world, with an Internet connection, without a boss, without a team, and equally they have a lot of value to share. Now let me ask you a question. Let's say that both of those people had an offer where they could transfer that value and transfer that skill to you. So you, the person watching this video, you could either become a world famous composer or you could have the ability to make money, a respectable amount of money, maybe 5, 10, 15k per month or thereabouts. As a trader from your laptop anywhere on planet Earth.
Which one of those two would you prefer to learn? Which one of the two would help you more, better your life, add more value?
For most of you watching this video, I'm going to presume that it's the trading offer because look, music is amazing. Music is an incredible, beautiful thing. But money is a lot more valuable because you can do more with it. You can buy clothing, you can buy housing, you can buy food, you can book holidays, you can travel on and on and on and on and on. You can pay your bills, you can buy items. So the ability to make money is significantly more valuable than the ability to make music. Right? And that's what I mean when I talk about how certain types of value are more valuable and certain are less valuable. Certain skills, talents, specialist knowledge, some is more valuable, some is less valuable. Now let's say that you're watching this video and when I asked you that question, how valuable are you? Maybe you thought to yourself, I am not that valuable. Now a lot of people work with me because they watch my videos and they actually realize they're very valuable. So I've worked with people who have solved their own alcohol addiction, tremendous value, and they now sell that value to other people. I've worked with world famous professional traders who've created value, learned the skill and now they sell that value to other people. I've worked with globally famous, I'm working with a world famous violin player right now, created the value and now she's going to share that value with other people and on and on. I've worked with everybody from E commerce entrepreneurs to fitness entrepreneurs to drop shippers, traders, musicians, designers. One of my clients right now is an extremely talented interior designer who's building a program to teach other people to make that a full time career like she has, making six figures per year in the process. So there's a creativity element and a financial element there. It's a fantastic offer. One of my clients teaches children to pass maths tests and him and his partner are making about 70,000 per month with that offer right now. So when it comes to your value.
If you think to yourself, I am just a normal average person, I don't really have much value to add. I want to share two things with you to help you. Number one, you probably have more value than you even know, right? That is something that I see very, very, very often. People don't think that they're very valuable, but it turns out that they've got a very valuable skill somewhere in there. On the off chance that you don't, the good news is you can learn more. Okay? Now when it comes to value and when it comes to sharing value with other people, the next thing that I want to talk to you about is the following.
Now there are three key areas that humans tend to value. The Most above other areas. Health.
Wealth and relationships.
If you can help people with their health, their wealth or their relationships.
Your life is just going to be so much easier. Making money is going to be so much easier. Transferring that value, which we're going to talk about in a second, by the way, is going to be so, so, so much easier. Now, can you share value in other areas outside of those key pillars? 100% you can. Music is outside of those areas. Design is somewhat outside of those areas. Addiction is somewhat outside of those areas. Teaching maths is somewhat outside of those areas. Now, some of those do have a financial element, but it's just an element. So some offers are much more direct. It's like, here's how to make more money, here's how to get your dream partner, here's how to get your dream body and similar. And they're very much within those three key pillars. And other offers are slightly outside of those or wholly outside of those. And you can still make a lot of money with them. It's just going to be a bit harder, a bit slower and on and on. Right, so let's just quickly pause here and recap what we talked about. We talked about the fundamentals of money and why money exists. Money is just a way to transfer value. It's a way to transact to complete transactions without boytering. Right? We've also talked about value and how humans buy value. So if you have value, you can very easily in many cases sell that value to other people. And what is value? It solves a problem or addresses a need or removes a pain. Right? So value is created when a problem is solved, when pain is removed, when a need is addressed.
And people exchange money for value. Okay, now the next thing that I want to talk to you about is transferring value. And how do you do that? Well, you transfer value typically by creating a product, marketing it, selling it and delivering it.
So you productise your value, you productise your knowledge, you market it, you go out there and tell people about it, you make organic content, you run paid ads and you say to people, hey, this is how I can help you. Do you have this pain? Do you have this problem? Do you have this need? If so, come here and let me help you. That is basically what marketing is. You then sell to them.
And you then deliver the value. Now, there's one other element and that's pricing. And almost every single person that I meet or talk to doesn't understand how to price things. So I'm going to tell you that right now. Now there's two ways to quantify value. One is financial, the other is outcome. So I'll give you an example of each. If you can help people to make $100,000 a year, I suggest charging between 10 and 20%. And that is a fair value exchange. So let me ask you the question. Would you pay 10,000 to learn how to make 100,000 per year? Absolutely you would? Would you pay 15,000, maybe 20,000 to learn how to make one hundred thousand a year? Absolutely you would. That creates a fair value exchange. Now on the other side of that, what if you share value that's not monetary based?
Well, often it is. Let me explain. So one of my clients is a person who helps people stop drinking alcohol.
And the way that he creates value is he only helps high level entrepreneurs, CEOs, executives, because the impact that alcohol has on their life is dramatic. They're ruining their work, they're ruining their health, they're ruining their marriage, their relationship with their friends, their children, and on and on and on.
So fixing those areas is incredibly valuable for the right person.
Now, I won't name that person, of course, but he makes, let's just say, a lot of money. A lot of money. A significant amount of money per year with that offer. And all he does is address a problem, address a pain, fix it for people, and the right people pay him a lot of money to receive that value. Okay? So that value, if you Quantify that across 12 months, it may not be make X amount of money.
But it's actually even deeper than that because it stop your wife leaving you, stop your children disrespecting or maybe even hating.
Don'T lose your job, and on and on. So can you see how much value is being created there?
Now I've just touched on something quite important there. And that is not only the value and the offer, but selling it to the right person.
So getting a six pack will be a lot more important to some people than others. Becoming wealthy will be a lot more important to see some rather than others stopping drinking alcohol. Well, some people don't even drink alcohol. Some people can't afford an alcohol program. Some people will spend 5, 10, $15,000 on an alcohol program because their problem is so serious, so severe. So when you understand the value that you have to share with the world, that is how you translate that value into money, into income, marketing, sales, product pricing, delivery. And if you do those things, you are, it's almost impossible to not make money. So this video that I'm sharing with you right now, this is not really how to become a millionaire video. It's what to do so that becoming a millionaire just happens because I'm giving you the actions that will cause the reaction. And if you follow these actions, the reaction is money.
Okay, now there's just one or two more things that I want to talk to you about. And the next is the vehicle. Now there's a lot of vehicles out there for conveying value. Let me give you a few examples. So maybe you are very talented at buying cars, fixing cars and selling them on. Perhaps now one vehicle would be to do that, to buy cars, fix them, sell them on for a profit. But you need a car lot to store them, you need to insure them, people need to come and view them and test drive them. You need to physically fix them and have a team and on and on. So it's a good model. You will make money because the economics just makes sense. But it's a low profit margin model. It's a difficult labour intensive model, so it's not really optimal. Another model is building and selling online courses. Now this is a model where you do one thing which is build the program and you can sell it for months and years to come. You don't need a team. All that you need is a course portal where you store the course, a sales process which is a series of web pages, some media assets, maybe some ads, some organic content.
You don't need to insure the thing. Your profit margin is going to be near to 100% because all you need is a few softwares to sell an online program. So it's a much more efficient model. It's just a more efficient business model. That's just a fact. Another model could be, let's say interior design.
Now again, does this work? Yes. Could you make money? Absolutely. You can make quite a lot of money. But you need to physically go to locations, you need to physically view and purchase and move around furniture. You're probably going to need a team. The margin, I actually don't know the margin of that business. But it's not 100%, it's not 90%. I don't imagine it's 80 or even 70%. So again, is it a model that works? Yes. Is it a great vehicle? Yes. But it's not the best. It's not the best. And in an ideal world, especially if you're starting from zero, why not just do what's easiest? Why not just do what makes you the most money with the least effort and the least time? One more example for you would Be group consulting. So if you have a business offer, you could do this. If you have an addiction offer, you could do this. If you have a trading offer, a fitness offer, you could do this. And this is simply where at a certain day or days of the week, at a certain time, for one or two or three hours, you get on Zoom and you coach people and you help them and you deliver value. Now, this is very, very scalable because Whether you have one person or 10 people or 100 people, it's still the same date, still the same time. It's still that one call for you. But you can scale the income and scale the value, the value delivery, right? So the vehicle by which you sell and share and deliver your value.
Is important because it's going to affect how easy it is to start, how fast it is to start, how high your profit margin is, and on and on. Okay, so that's just something to be aware of. Now, there's only one or two other things that I want to share with you in this video. And the following is time. Now, I have a client who's called Charlie Morgan. He's someone who's attended every single Mastermind event that I've ever ran. Awesome guy, incredible entrepreneur. And his partner Bo once said the following. He said, results are assured, but time is not. Now, going back to what I said a second ago, if you do what I share in this video.
The only outcome is for you to make money. And a lot of it. The only thing that is not insured is time. Now, I became a millionaire in just above. Just above two and a half years. So for me, it happened fairly fast. Not overnight, not in a week, not in a month, not in a year. Touching on three years it took me to get there. For other people, it will take one or two years. For other people, it will take two or three or four years. For other people, it will take five years or more. But if you genuinely help people, coming back to that quote, you can get anything that you want in life as long as you help other people get what they want in life. If you do that and you exchange your value for money for long enough, becoming a millionaire is. It's just going to happen. It's just a fact. It's just a fact.
Not only that, you can compound your money by investing it along the way. So as you make your first hundred thousand, two hundred thousand, three hundred thousand, you can do what I did. So I started buying real estate with cash. The first time that I had a million in cash in the bank, I Bought my watch. It's a solid gold Rolex day date. I'm not wearing it now or I would show you, but I bought a watch.
I bought a house, then I bought two apartments, then I bought another house, then I bought another apartment, then another house, then I started storing money in high interest bank accounts and on and on. So as you make the money, you can store it, grow it and compound it. And that is going to help you to get there faster and it's going to build a lot more wealth for you in the future as well. Okay? So just understand that results. If you do what I tell you to do in this video and my other videos.
You can't help but to make money. Because this is the way that the world works. There's so many people out there with so much money and if you come along with the value that they want, if you come along and solve one of their key problems, meet one of their key desires, remove one of their key pains, they are going to give you money. And if you do that for long enough, you're going to become a millionaire.
So I really, really hope that this video helps. I wanted to keep it short, I wanted to keep it concise. And I've made this video on the premise. I've just imagined that one of my friends asked me this question, how can I become a millionaire? And if somebody did ask me that, this is the exact thing that I would tell them.
So I really hope that this has helped and added value. If you do have any questions, you can pop them in the comments section below. And finally, if you do need any help with this stuff, I'd be more than happy to lend a hand. I've put a link in the description that you can click. It's going to take you to a video, it's only 10 or 12 minutes long. It's going to explain who I can and who I can't tell.
And if I can help you, feel free to book a call with me. We'll get on a call, we'll talk about how I may be able to help. If I can, I'll explain how. That aside, guys, I'll see you back here soon.
